The mane 6 POV

Morning arrived to the noise of cooking. As they each woke as they could smell a heavenly aroma none of them could place.as they walked in the dinning area from the sleeping area at the back they finally got a good look at their host from last night.

He stood at at least six foot with wide shoulders and a highly muscular back faint scarring could be seen.His legs where toned and muscled as well by what they could guess by his strangely patterned clothing.As he turned around they got their first glimpse of his toned and scared chest. But that wasn't what stunned them his scared and bearded face,but mostly his eyes.One was a crimson red red that look like it could pierce your very soul,but the other was a husky blue that showed showed intelligence .but would protect anyone. The second thing that surprised them his hair. It was white, but through the center a dark red line. They hadn't realized they hadn't blinked the entire time they starred, but with a cough he got their attention.

"Are yall hungry?" He ask with a awkward look.

"O-oh...uh y-yes please" the purple one said with an embarrassed look.

"Ok well ah didn't know what ta get yall but ah did find some different things for yall to try. Its some fruit and vegetables that a trader sold me. Sorry best I can do right now." He said scratching the back of his head.

They looked at one another still a little scared of the towering being before them until the shyest one speaks up.

"Oh ok girls lets not be rude. If that's ok with you."the yellow one said.

With her words they all go to sit at the counter to see what he has fixed for them.

Upon viewing the meals placed before them. their mouths started to water and an audible grumbling sound could be heard from each of them. As soon as they could they attacked their food.

Leroy's P.O.V

"Wow glad I didn't have my hands. Anywhere near their food." He thought as he watched them eat.

After they ate they got around to actually introducing themselves.

"Sorry for earlier that food smelled delicious. What was all that by the way?"the purple one ask.

"Well most of that miss.... you know I never got your names."he said admittedly.

"Oh how terribly rude of us."the white one said.

They all looked at one another to figure out who would go first that's when Leroy decided to speak.

"Ok how 'bout we do it this a way ah point to ya and ya tell me your name and a little 'bout yourself.does that sound good?" He ask looking to them for a reaction.

Each of them thought for a few seconds on whether or not that would work seeing that it would they agreed.

"Ok you with the cowboy hat" he said.

"Ok ma name is applejack and ah'm ah apple farmer."she said

"Ok next you with the rainbow hair." He said

"I'm rainbow dash. Fastest flyer in equestria."she exclaimed.

"Ok interesting next you hyper one " he said

"Hi I'm pinkie pie and I throw the best parties ever."she said bouncing all over the place.

"Ok question you drink coffee? "He ask with a raised eyebrow.

"Ya why?" She said.

"One word 'decaf' especially out here" he said in a serious tone.

At that phrase she stopped and looked at him with a confused look on her face.

"Why?" She ask.

"Because with yer fur that bright ah pink bouncing is going to make you an easier target out their."he stated pointing past the broken window to the wasteland. "And trust me you don't want to be a target."

"Why?"she said even more confused.

"cause there are people out there who will kill ya fer no reason but to kill ya they are the kind ah'm after."he said.

At his words they all gasped.

"Who would do such a thing."the white one asked.

"Well miss..."he asked.

"Rarity darling. I make dresses " she said.

"Well miss rarity tha people who would are called raiders an

slavers. They are chemed up to their eyeballs in drugs and don't care that ya are a living breathing thang they will either kill ya outright or they will torture ya to death. if ya lucky they'll kill Ya if not then yer world will revolve around pain and misery."he said whither out reacting to the information.

Tags these word their ears flipped down and they started to shake in fear. seeing this he said" don't yall worry none with me around any o them bunch showes up they will run fer tha hills. They are scared o me."

"Why?" The lavender one ask.

"Well miss..."he said

"T-twilight s-sparkle."she said

"Well miss sparkle because they are the very people I'm sent to deal with."he said with a bemused look.

"Oh and how do you do that?" Twilight ask.

At her question he walked over to his equipment and pulled out a revolver the same one from last night on the side of the silver barrel was the phrase' revelations 21:6'

"With this." He said.

They looked at it taking a step back in fear, To which he held up his other hand to stop them.

"Don't none yall fret I ain't gonna hurt Ya. Sides thisn reserved fer bad guys."he said with a smile.

"W-what d-does i-it d-do?" A voice ask that Leroy couldn't see.

"Who asked that?"he said looking around.

The others stepped aside to show the yellow one shaking and whimpering.

"Did Ya ask ah question young lass?"he ask crouching down

At his movement she 'eeped'

And hid behind Applejack who said" sorry 'bout that mister Leroy she is a mite bit shy. her name is fluttershy an she takes care o animals."

"Its quite alright and please its just Leroy mister was ma pa's title." He said with a smile.

With that he held the gun in his hands so that they could get a good look at it as he spoke.

"This sweet heart. Is a forty-four magnum revolver. I had it custom made at a place a friend o mine runs." He said.

As he spoke fluttershy came out from hiding behind applejack and looked at the ebony and silver object with curiosity and wonder.

"What does it do?" Rainbow dash ask. Leaning her head to the side.

At her question he hit the release switch on the side and removed one of the rounds from the cylinder and showed them it saying" this is a round for it. That tip,when fired, will travel in excess of 1096.101 mph which is little shy to two times the speed of sound. So imagine what somethin that small travelling that fast will do when it hits somethin." He said.

Twilight being the ever so smart did the calculations. After some time she gasped and said" that would leave a sizable impression on whatever it hit at those speeds. How does it achieve such speeds in the first place, and why would you need something so dangerous?"

"Well to answer yer first question. it has in the longer part a certain amount of gunpowder and here at the bottom of it the primer cap built in" he said indicating to the small circle at the end."when that is struck it creates a spark that ignites the powder which causes a controlled explosion sending the smaller piece down the barrel."

"And my second question?"she ask.

"Well that's the thing I use this to kill those who kill innocent people. in other words I hunt the raiders and slavers then I use it to end their evil lives."he said in a flat tone.

"WHAT! What gives you the right to take their lives." She said angerly I wonder if he plans on killing us she thought.

"Well that's the thing. I've never used it on anyone or anything that didn't already have enough innocent blood to sink a ship!" He said clearly pissed.

"That still d...."she began but was silenced by the look Leroy was giving her.

"Do you think that they would believe you tell you believes to the raiders of old Olney who have been starving out a small town just so they can go in and take over, once the town's defenders are too weak ta fight back. Do u know what they are gonna do?" He said in a very angry voice. By now all of them are scared by his tone.

"I...I.... don-"she began.

Of course you don't but ah do and ah'm not goin ta let it happin."he said getting up."I've seen them do this you never forget the sight of your first settlement destroyed by raiders the bodies of men,women, children." He said tears are now flowing from his face. Twilight and her friends are now sitting their with stunned by what they just heard.

"Ah just left tha vault after escapin. Ah found tha settlement five days later and what ah saw still haunts me. The raiders beat and mutilated the men's bodies and hung them from the houses. They raped the women and children.it was the first time ah lost controle and truly killed for pleasure. What they did was unforgivable and they died for their choices. Ah failed to save that settlement ah won't let it happen ta this one." He said with a cold voice.

No one said anything Leroy was to busy to notice that the ponies had gotten close until he felt them hugging him.

" I..I'm sorry that you had to see that and now I understand why I don't like it but it is necessary."twilight said tears still on her eyes.

"Ah don't take pleasure in doin this but if ah don't stop them then how many innocent folks are gonna die for it." He said, eyes staring off into the wastes.

"Why do it alone? Why not get others to help?" Fluttershy timidly said.

"There are others who help they are all off on other assignments right now and this just showed up ah got the call a few hours before y'all arrived."he said,his tone starting to go back to his happier tone.

"Oh" a few of them said.

"What is gonna happen ta us?"applejack finally ask. Her ears were splayed back in fear.

"Ah can't in good conscience leave yall here without a way ta defend yalls selves. So ah thought y'all might wanna go with me since ah have a truck sitting behind the dinner that can get us there and yall can wait it won't take but a few minutes to take them down."he admitted.

At this they all perked up looking at him.

"What do you mean darling? your Not mad at us?" Rarity said.

"No it's typical for those who haven't witnessed what I have seen to do that. most of vault town's residents did the same thing."he said scratching his head.

"Oh and you don't mind us going along with you? If that's ok?"fluttershy stammered.

"So long as you do as I say and listen carefully.the area is extremely dangerous due ta not only raiders but deathclaws as well and trust me yall will see them just stay in the truck and yall will be safe." He said.

"Ok when do we leave?" Pinkie said in her happy tone.

"Let me get dressed and we'll be off" he said walking into the sleeping area.

A few minutes later he walked back in wearing an odd set of armor covered with a black duster and a black cowboy hat with a red feather in it.

"Ok ready to go? "He ask

They all nodded and preceded or get in the truck. As he fired it up Twilight ask "what's with that outfit?"

"Another story for afterwards" he said and pulled away heading for their destination.
