A Day of No Tomorrow

I find myself having a weird dream , I'm stuck in quicksand while I was being attacked by a Camel , Damn whats wrong with me.

For some reason Charlie was on the Camel poking it to death while Jasmin was busy doing some weird crap in the corner.

I suddenly wake up to find myself still in my bed but I smell a bit of smoke , I arise to see non-other than those two , for some reason and that I'm glad of is that they managed to get a Small simple fire running using some dried up grass and some branches. the problem is , It's in the middle of the damn path well... It might attract unwanted attention but that might be the only way we're going to get out.

" Mornin' Henry , We aren't in the same forest anymore. " She Yelled out while cutting branches off a tree nearby.

" I realized that I went out jogging at night and I couldn't find the Crossroads " I said with some Grief in my voice which was noticeable by Charlie.

" Don't worry Mate , You've been in the Scouts , And we know how to handle a small camp anyways " Said Charlie as he grinned.

" Yeah but He's not a hunter or something , what happens if something dangerous like a wolf jumps us or something " Jasmin quickly responded.

" Yeah I've got this with me " as I take out my pocket knife and show them , Their faces shine with disappointment.

" Great Henry I'm guessing a pocket knife will kill a few wolves then? " She sarcastically said with a frown on her face.

" If you know where to stick it in it might. " I gave her a dumb look.

" I'll have to take your word on that " she replied , Then it was quiet.

" Hey Henry. " Charlie Broke the silence "If you want there's a stream you can wash yourself in near the camp , Just don't take too long we're leaving to find civilization in a bit. "

A few minutes later at the stream

' Ugghhh a relaxing drink , I also wonder why I keep talking to myself so damn much. ' I laughed a bit at the thought.

But I felt something wrong about the situation , It was like being watched , I quickly turn around and caught something in the glimpse of my eye moving in the bushes a few meters away from us.

' Yep that definitely moved ' I thought to myself while I took my penknife out.

I was scared at this point , They called it " Fear of the Unknown " I don't know what was about to jump me , But I was ready crawling steadily towards the bush Pocket knife in hand , Adrenaline ready to pump out , Since it was sneaking up on me I just wonder what this Enemy could be , a Wolf? , Wild Dog of some sort? Or maybe was it Prey maybe a small rabbit or bird I don't know but I'm not taking the chances out in a dangerous forest.

I stopped just a meter in front of the bush and I see it , ' it ' looked like a Small dog? no it didn't look like a dog it had Wings! It was a Small creature with an Orange fur coat , purple hair or fur on its head and wings.... woah .. Was I hallucinating again , I got freaked out when it jumped back into the bushes.

I came closer to try to get what it was but it just kicked me in the leg when i tried to inspect the bush and ran off... Saying something ... wait? was that ' thing ' saying something? I thought I heard it scream and run away , Thank god whatever it was , That it was small , so it didn't have the power to actually  do any damage to my leg , but that sight was a bit horrific.

I ran back to camp when I got back to my comrades , I told them about what happened , About that weird creature that tried to kick my kneecap and ran away when I got near.

" It just got scared , But wings you say? and it had 4 legs?! " Jasmin gasped.

" Yep it also had a Coat of fur and hair or fur on its head " I told her.

" Pegasi ," Charlie Proclaimed " I read up about them in a Myth book in the school library , Legendary Horses with wings. "

" But that thing it didn't look like the average horse. " I said in Denial.

" Tell me then , what else has four legs and wings as well as a Mane on their heads " Charlie said.

' Well whatever it is , I just hope there isn't anything else " Extra Ordinary " about this place. ' I thought to myself.

" Anyways let's go I don't want to stay in this forest forever " Jasmin said looking Impatient.

We Both nodded and started to follow her , She was a natural born leader , well that kind of makes it the Two of us , I've always had a knack for being able to lead a small group of people and have really good co-operation skills with them , But that all depends on the person now doesn't it?

Anyways we've kept walking through the forest on the only path which seems we've been walking for hours when it just was a few minutes Thankfully we had charlie to entertain us during the trip with his constant knack of jokes , Thank god for Charlie he's a real life saver.

" Oh wait wait , I've got one " Charlie beamed.

" Why did the chicken Cr- the hell is that!? " He gasped

I turn around to see him looking at a weird " creature " again this time This one was completely black it had Blue eyes just completely blue , it had teal-ish torn wings , a little black horn coming out of its head , Holes in its ' feet ' and 2 very long fangs that I wouldn't want to go near.

It Sort of Hissed and Shone its fangs onto us.

" UGGHHH Its a bug! " Charlie Yelled " Quick someone step on it! "

" I'd prefer not to be stepped on " said the Creature as its horn lit up with a green aurora

" OH GOD BUGS CAN TALK!? " Charlie was at breaking point he just ran ahead of us.

" Shit , I think its a good time to get the hell out of here " I said.

Sadly both of those cowards ran away , Leaving me to my fate with this thing , I may not be the fittest person around but I can still sprint really fast if I'm scared and so I did , managing to catch up with my Former Comrades in arms.

" That bug ... it could talk .... how. it sounded like gravel screeching on pavement just like dupstep. " Charlie managed to force out while gasping for air.

I couldn't help but laugh , Jasmin was getting a bit furious by this but managed to keep her cool so far. But we realized we aren't int he forest anymore and there's a town in the distance , The buildings were made out of wood , a European style of housing , My only bets would be that we're in Europe and judging by the weird things around us... Medieval Europe.

But that's weird I also see a barn and a farm house surrounded by apple orchids , weird ... I thought there would be more ... I don't know? Wheat fields? but that didn't bother me much , The fact that did bother me was that the Barn and farmhouse looked like American architecture ... How.... hmm maybe just a coincidence , But I can't think right on an Empty stomach , I signaled to my friends that we could get food on that apple orchid and we started heading towards that direction.

Once we were close enough to the farm we managed to spot something , Horses , but they were too small to be fully grown horses , They looked like Ponies judging from Charlie's freaky knowledge of myths. Hmm must mean people around but ... why are the Ponies multicolored? I've seen a Orange one , and I believe that thing I saw before i went to bed was a Pegasus but do these people paint? the ponies. I don't understand... But I'm too hungry to think right now.

I toss my Penknife over to Charlie.

" Hold onto that for me while I pick some apples for us. " I said.

I climbed up the apple tree and got a Dozen apples and threw them on the ground waiting for either Jasmin or Charlie to start digging in As they did I happen to see an Orange pony It had a blondish mane and a Cowboy hat coming towards us ... rope in mouth? , I yelled at my group to grab the apples AND RUN. The pony was too fast for us , it managed to Lasso Both of them in one go and I hid up the tree Hoping to stay hidden from it , But it already saw me it was too late , it just hit the tree with both her hind legs I fell out of the tree and landed head first onto the floor , I've heard my friends yelling but I blacked out.
