After 8 years of Torment and Torture in every definition, in the Wasteland's Capital of Raider Slavery, Gideon's chance at Freedom finally comes. Not wanting to waste the given chance, the young slave-pony eagerly ventures into the new life in the Equestrian Wasteland, away from the Town of Pain. However, unbeknownst to him, the Apocalypse offers little to no sympathy for its survivors.

Out of the Frying Pen and into the Fire, as Gideon is yet to learn the hard way, Survival in the Wasteland, as well as what the remainder of Ponykind has been reduced to after the near end of the world.

NOTE: This story takes place several years before the events in Kkat's original story. It aims to explore the costs of surviving in the End of the World, and the possibilites of either living in it as a Hero or a Renegade.
