Chapters The light moved slowly across the thin and coarse paper; The tiny beam highlighting in detail the black blood and adamantium claws of Wolverine springing from his hands, it was an early Wolverine book so the censors had to be sidestepped with black blood. "Oh yeah things just got real." Peter Page-turner said happily as he eyed the paper. Peter was a slightly lanky young man, with a cow-licked crop of brown hair on his head. Thought he was practically fully grown by most standards, he had a lot of tendencies more associated with someone much younger. from the Avengers Sheets and blankets he had on his bed to the Tee shirt of the 1987 ninja turtles and Jack Skellington P.J shorts he wore as he read comic books under his bed by flashlight. Now Peter was a pleasant guy in spite of these tendencies; one may have just been somewhat...uneasy around him for how he acted. Still there where others in Canterlot City not that different than him. There was that nutty pink haired and pink girl that often hung around five or (was it six?) other girls at school, Pinkie pie was her name wasn't it? She oozed childlike glee the way she would often bounce around skipping and blowing up balloons and throwing confetti around like it was always a birthday party. So where's the harm in him having a permanent second childhood?...well when it was convenient for him at least.
Peter set the Wolverine comic aside and shuffled through his stack of bagged comics for another one; he settled on an issue of...Power Ponies, Hold it! Before you say or think anything; The series was actually quite well written; their was a very tongue in cheek sense of humor in the series, like even the writers knew the concept was somewhat...silly to begin with. But the people behind it actually put effort into what they were working with. The stories spoofing both the campy and ridiculous comics from the 50's through 60's (including the Adam west Batman show) to the overly dark and gritty comics of the 80's and 90's. It wasn't JUST some companies attempt at trying to cash in on a children's series just to make easy money, not to mention it had some pretty good spin-offs. The two books next to his where of the Mysterious Mare Do Well (A full on semi anthropomorphic pony spoof of the Batman series) and Daring-do (Indianan Jones), some issues of these comics where even written by people know for doing top shelf work on the very thing they satirized. Like Paul Dini who co wrote for the Batman animated series and had an excellent run on the comics a decade or so later writing the first issue of Mare do well, to Gary Gianni who wrote Dark Horse comics first original Indianan Jones limited series now working on the Daring Do series now.
Peter flipped through the pages not reading any of the words but rather taking in the way Daring-Do could handle almost everything the ancient tombs threw at her; from armies of mummified cats to living Golems. To the very tongue in cheek jab at Watchmen in Mare Do well; as a panel in her book directly spoofed a scene from the book. The river of blood in watchmen became a hot dog cart's green water from being turned over. Peter; almost unknowingly, read Mare Do Well's narration commentary on it "What a wasteful shame of perfectly good tofu dogs, all that water and condiments spilling out over the..."
"Peter!" A voice called from above his ceiling followed by a loud thumping noise. "Are you reading comic books under you blankets in the middle of the night again?" His mother called through the ceiling which was on her side, her floor.
"uhhhh...maybe Ma?" He said sheepishly, as he threw the comics under the bed in case she and her boyfriend came downstairs.
"Peter, It's three in the morning and you have school tomorrow; David and I heard you reading aloud for the last twenty minuets, go to bed and don't make a sound down there until that alarm goes off or so help every single one of those damn comics are going in the Goodwill bin when I get home from work...Do you understand me?!'' The voice shouted down at him crossly...Peter said nothing but let his head fall back to the pillow and the silence speak for itself. "That's what I thought." She called down to him before rolling over to get some sleep herself.
Before he drifted off to dreams; Peter thought of a certain member of the Power Ponies, Zapp. Noticing how she had an uncanny resemblance to the sporty tomboy of Canterlot High Rainbow Dash, (Who gives their kids names like this? he though to himself) but quickly shuffled the idea aside. AS his thoughts soon turned to Zapp; in her tight black costume, he then did picture Rainbow in Zapp's outfit, then he thought of her crawling over to him in that outfit...that tight black outfit hugging and clinging to every shapely but athletic curve of her, as she leaned in and gave him a....*RRIIIIIINNNGG!* Went his alarm clock, wiping the fantasy turned dream from his head. "Damn it! It was just getting interesting too." He said noticing the tent pitched where one of the Jack Skellington face's was on his shorts.

Peter Stood in front of his bed room mirror; He looked back at the light orange skin and brown hair. His body was a little gangly and thin, not very muscular or sporty but he was happy with it. He smiled at his reflection and threw a black hoodie with a green skull on the front over his shirt zipping it up. It wasn't a Punisher Hoodie as the skull would indicate but rather a custom based on the Necromancer's robes from an RPG game. He walked over to a white box that was full of a bunch of comic books in bags and backing boards as well as his schoolbag. He carried the box down the stairs and all the way to Canterlot High. Peter brought these many book with him to school not to read them all himself; but rather to have others read them with him. Peter would set the box down on the horse statue that sat in front of the school from 7:30 to 8:30, the hours from when the school opened up to when the first period started. He would set the comics he had brought out in a line and anyone who wanted to could ask to borrow one or a few to read with him or on their own time. He would also have them available for people to read at lunchtime, and from 3:00 o clock to 5:30 when the school building closed. there was no set time he wanted them back, Pinkie still had yet to return the copies of Deadpool she borrowed about a year or two ago, Snips and Snails returned the copies of Mars Attacks! They had borrowed with creases and wrinkles in the covers.
Peter didn't care. He wasn't some compulsive comic book geek that wouldn't allow even a speck of dust near his comics. In many ways he felt like the one hit wonder character Milo from the Simpsons. He loved being friendly with other people and he felt that as long as Snips and Snails enjoyed the issues they could have done all they wanted with them. In fact; before he got the the idea to set up the ersatz comic "Library," Peter often kept to himself and hardly talked to anyone. The only person in School more nervous about being social was the pink haired animal loving girl Fluttershy but even she had friends to spend time with. Once he started bringing them into school thought, He was as cheerful and peppy with the other's as Pinkie.
Peter set the box down by the statue and opened it up; everything from Jennifer Blood blasting some guy's skull with a long range sniper bullet, to The Power ponies annuals from the last few years. He let everyone from the CMC to Soarin Check out an issue, but there is only one guest worth mentioning here. It was after sending Twist off with a reprint of an issue of Weird Science, that a transfer student from Crystal prep following the friendship games, Twilight Sparkle approached his set up. She adjusted her glasses and brushed her locks of hair out her face before leaning down and shuffling through the issues.
"Hello there Ms. Do you see anything that interests you?" Peter asked Twilight with a smile.
"What, are you selling these things or something?" She asked looking at a copy of The Shadow.
"Not really, I let anyone who's interested borrow whatever books that catches their interest, It's kinda like a library per say."
"Hmmmm?" Twilight mumbled shuffling through some more books.
"Everything okay Ms..." He asked not sure of her name.
"Twilight; Twilight Sparkle, I just transferred from Crystal Prep."
"Oh yeah now I remember you...You're The Shadow Bolt archer aren't you?" He asked noticing how she barley looked at the rest of the books.
"Well...I was but after seeing how much...lenient Canterlot High is when it comes to things like grades and athletics, I thought It'b be better to study here."
"I see...so what do you think of my Library Twilight?"
"This...is no library." She said shaking her head and placing the book down.
"Well...It's not officially a library I admit, but I let people borrow books whenever they want, sure I don't need them back after a certain time but I still do appreciate them being returned."
"Comic books aren't real books, A library is supposed to be a place that takes good care of well, their books." She said holding up a worn copy of Iron Fist. "That are quiet places of study and reading of literature that has time and effort and deep and meaning full works that are relevant or timeless." She said adjusting her glasses again and picking up her textbooks.
"Hey now, comic books can be that and more Ms. Twilight, they aren't just silly stories of superheroes running around fighting villains they may have once been." Peter said slightly peeved at the girl's words. "Maybe if you just took some and..."
"I'm sorry, I can't it's almost time for class, maybe some other time." She said rushing through the front door as the bell rang.
"Huh, what crawled up her skirt and bit her purple butt?" Peter asked packing the comics that hadn't been borrowed up to share at a later time.
Generous deliveries
It was 8:45; normally Peter would be on his way to class, but today he had a few stops on the way to make. He rummaged through his school bag for a few books that some of his borrowers had specifically asked to see if he could find them. These weren't just single issues in bags; but collected editions that a few, "friends" I guess you could call them wanted, sometimes it was the rest of the story a single issue was only a part of like Rarity wanting the collected edition of Green Lantern Secret Origin after reading the second part published as a single issue, or the first stop on his rounds....
Lyra Heartstrings jimmied and struggled with the dial lock of her locker, the damn thing was always stuck, "Stupid cheap lock," she said hitting the side in anger. Her BFF Bonbon closed the locker just across from her and took a padlock with a key from her bag and locked it for her.
"There, I think that'll be far better then the crap the school issues to us." BonBon added before handing the key over to Lyra.
"Oh Bonnie where would I be without you?" She asked giving her a friendly hug. Peter walked up to the both of them, a book in his hands.
"Hey girls," he said cheerfully as he handed Bon Bon her book. "Here you go Bon Bon, one Best of Betty and Veronica. I gotta say you two are an awful lot like B&V, only not...split over a certain redhead." He said; taking almost all his reserves of common courtesy to not add a certain assumption why being because they where more interested in each other, something a lot of the chatty gossips where quick to spread around. Bon Bon smiled at him playfully before running a hand over his cheek, in a very uncannily similar manner to the Adagio girl from a while back.
"Well maybe that's because we just haven't found a boy we'd like to spend time with...Petey." She said with a soft coo as she plucked a bit of his brown hair, before she giggled softly. Lyra giggled playfully and gave him a soft pat on his head like a little puppy she had once. Both girls backed off from him blushing bright red and giggling like...well school girls.
"Really? Is that so?" Peter added blushing hard himself as the hands holding his other deliveries got shaky and he bounced on his toes nervously.
"Mhhmhhh," Lyra added with a nod. "You see most of the guys around school are so...they only have one thing on their mind know what I mean?" She said nuzzling his cheeks and Bon Bon's, "and they're all too busy stroking their egos or bragging about how their parents got them cars for wining the homecoming, and all that other Freudian B.S." Bon Bon added as she softly rubbed her nose against his.
"What's your point Bon Bon?" Peter asked shaking like a leaf.
"Well...we would maybe hang around a boy, If I could only find one that appreciates us for who we are and would be genuinely interested in US, not just what we can...offer..." Bon Bon said with a very playful girlish giggle.
"Caramels," Lyra added quickly "Bonnie really knows how to make drop dead delicious candy." Lyra said taking some homemade mint chews from her pocket and eating them.
"And you're all types of fun to hang out with Lye, as for you mister," she said placing a finger on his chest. I like you Petey," Bon said to him with a little pinch on his cheek. "If you ever want to say get something sweet at sugarcube corner after school...you know where to find us." She said giving a little pout and sashay of her hips she whispered into Lyra's ear "Finally a guy that's as sweet as you..maybe now people will stop talking."
"Did it bother you that they did?" She whispered back.
"Only becasue that they where...slightly wrong...and the fact that the only options around this place aren't my type." She said with a chuckle and blush. They walked of feeling as cheeky as they could ever be.
"I'd prefer the Sweet Stuff Bakery if that's okay with you!" He called down the hall to them; he checked the clock. "Oh damn, it's almost nine o'clock." "I still got six deliveries to make." He hurried down the hall losing track of where he was going and ran head first into an open locker door. When the birds cleared from his eyes he gave his head a shake to find himself looking up at a purple haired and ivory girl with a pleated skirt and blouse on. "Oh hello Rarity, funny running into you here." He said handing her a copy of Deadpool: Vol 1 by Daniel Way.
"Oh Darling I think you ran into my locker a bit too hard, I asked if you could find a copy of Green Lantern: Circle of fire." She said holding a hand out and helping Peter to his feet.
"Oh I guess I did cause this is Pinkie's request...silly me." He gave his head a final shake to clear the daze he was in and found the proper book he promised her. "I gotta say you really have taken a liking to the Green Lantern books Rarity." He said as she took the book happily and placed it in her bag.
"It's the way they remind me so much of my favorite power pony Radiance." She said with a squee hugging her self tightly.
"That's kinda the idea Rarity, Radiance is a parody of the Green lantern mythos, but I think they based her more on the Star Sapphires corps."
"Ohhh they sound divine, can you find me any of their books please darling?" She said giving a starry eyed little puppy eyes that seemed to get most people to do things for her.
"I'm sorry Rarity, but they don't make any Star Sapphire comics. DC comics doesn't like female characters too much, So I guess It only makes sense they'd be a match made in heaven with Cartoon Network."
"Oh...I see," she said with a half heartily sigh of disappointment.
"Hey I know it's not the same, but what don't you take my issue of Power Ponies? It's a Radiance centered issue this month." He said holding the issue out for her.
"Oh Darling; you've done so much as it is, you bought this book for me, and I've done nothing beyond ask. Please if you must give even more let me at least..." He held a hand up smiling.
"No Rarity, I want nothing more than to see you enjoy the printed bounty I bring to my friends and students of Canterlot High." He placed the comic in her hands and gazed into her bright blue starry eyes.
"Darling please...My generous nature says to at least thank you properly."
"Well.....okay Rarity, but no money, you don't need to ever pay me for anything." As he said this, Rarity placed a soft kiss on his cheek and blushed, prompting them both to turn awkwardly away from each other.
"You're a boy after my heart if you keep being so overly generous darling." She said twirling a few locks of her hair blushing.
"I just...want to do what's right and follow the golden rules to live by Rare." He said equally blushing as hard.
"I...I better get going, it's almost..." *RRRRRIIIINNNG!* "Time for class." She took off running to her classroom, leaving the starstruck Peter to gently touch where her lips had made contact with his cheek, her lip gloss like an autograph she left burning on his cheek. He finally got himself together and started to walk down the hall not realizing that the time was 9:07, nor did he see the yellow blazer jacket until he ran into it. Principal Celestia had her arms folded over chest and was tapping her foot as she looked at him with a look of utter discontent.
"Late for class Mr. Turner? Think it might have something to do with these da...darned things." She said pointing to the long-box in his arms.
"Principal Celestia, It wasn't like that." He pleaded softly to her good nature.
"My office...now." She said pointing to her gilded brass sun motif office door.

Returns and the first appearance of the Student to student Control Squad.
The study hall
"OHHH sweet dude! I thought I'd never see these puppies again!" Vinyl Scratch happily shouted as Peter handed back her fifty dollar Bass blaster headphones. She took them and placed them on her head and bounced her head to an imaginary beat, that most likely wouldn't be imaginary for long. It was Study hall for her and few others a.k.a free period before lunch and afternoon free time, though officially they still couldn't have non educational personal item out on campus.
"Hey Vinyl, before you make it impossible to hear me," he asked her quickly. "Would you like too borrow some of my comics to read, I'm running a bit lite on the selection though." Peter said as he opened the box; indeed, there where noticeably fewer books then we he first came in to school, the stack had shifted to a few couple copies and some manga digests at the front.
"I...don't really read comics to be honest, Too much history and all the stories that go on and on." Vinyl said shuffling through the few remaining issues.
"I think I can help you there Viy," Peter said flipping to a issue labeled Marvel Adventures; the book was a double sided flip book, a Fantastic Four story on one cover and a Spider-Man story upside down on the opposite. "See this print; Marvel Adventures, while initially meant as a family and kid friendly series of self contained stories that are based on the older stories from like the Sixties, they are actually great for new readers. They tell the story in a single issue; there's no need to worry about continuity, and if you like it then there's no need to worry about the rest of the story across other issues." He handed the book to Vinyl, she took it smiling at as she opened it up.
"Hey this looks pretty cool think I'll check it out..heh funny, this Peter Parker in this book," she said reading. "He kinda reminds me of you Pete." She held the pages up side by side to the Peter Parker and the Peter in real life.
"Oh I don't know about that Viy...unlike that Peter there are still people who actually like me." He said rubbing the back of his head and chuckling, if his life was an anime the nervous sweat would be on his head then and there.
"What do you mean?" She asked giving a puzzled look closing the book and tucking it away in her bag, as per the advice from him regarding Principal Celestia's little rough patch.
"It's a long, and very messed up story Vinyl." Peter said putting the lid back on his long box. Vinyl only shrugged and packed up her stuff for lunch. As she passed him; just before she hit play on her music, since lunch as a time the alumni where allowed to use things like them, she whispered in his ear, the second time that day a girl did that but better than the first.
"You're a sweet guy Pete, don't ever change and don't let anyone ever say nice guys finish last to you." The dub-step loving DJ girl said as she walked off for lunch, she made a quick turn and kissed him right on his cheek not far from where Rarity had done so a few hours ago. Vinyl Giggled softly and playfully lowered her shades showing him her red eyes with a playful feminine flutter of her eyes. "Catch you on the flip-side dude."
Peter was tempted to say 'The 90's called they want their slang back but he only said ' "You too cutie." softly as a tiny squeak. Neither of them saw the Boy in a Black dress shirt and shorts with a white tie and purple star on his white armband and necklace with an equal sign made from cut onyx around his neck. He took notes on a clip board with a deep in thought...Hmmmm.
The Library
Snips and Snails sat at the computer screen in the library, the speakers set as low as possible, not to make sure they didn't disturb anyone but rather because they where watching something on the school comps they technically shouldn't have been. "I do not sound like Bling Bling Boy!" He snapped at Snails after he chuckled and pointed that out to him, on the monitor was an episode of the highly hated, but yet still somehow long running show Johnny Test. In it; Johnny and Eugine A.K.A "Bling-Bling Boy" where fighting as kindergarteners due to an age ray.
"Oh come one," Snails rebutted with a chuckle. "You totally sound dead on to him, the same whinny and bratty tone and a voice that sounds like a baby crying for a bottle..haha."
"Oh Shut up! like your voice is any better."
"That cute girl Sonata Dusk girl at the battle liked it."
"Only because she's on the same brain level as you.''
"Hey fellas, isn't watching cartoons on the school computers against the rules?" A voice said behind them both making both boys freeze up cold and turn around to see Peter behind them. "Heh relax fellas I'm not here to bust you, hell I'm her to return something to you both." He said placing the Tin of Pokemon cards down the desk in front of the desk.
"Our Starter decks! I thought I'd never see these again." Snails said happily popping the tin open and checking to make sure all his cards where there. "Sweet! my limited addition Arcticuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Lugia are still here." He said happily their eyes lighting up with delight.
"Watching Johnny Test?" Peter asked leaning over and looking at their monitor. They nodded too wrapped up in their reunion with their cards to answer. "You know, a lot of people my age hate this show...why do you guys like it?'' He asked clicking the suggested episode.
"Heck I didn't know people didn't like it." Was all Snails could say.
"Well it's true...but to each his own I guess, shame that saying is dead in age where something can literally be buried under bad press from just one persons negativity." Look at The Lone Ranger movie from a while back, it was a killer to make on everybody involved but all their hard work was all for nothing because both major and minor social media hated it and talked about how bad it was...boys? he asked but they where both still in the middle of a pocket monster battle. "Hey if you think Snips sounds like Bling Bling Boy, That Trixie girl that goes here sound like Johnny's mom." He said opening a clip of Mrs. test and she talked, all three noticed right away.
"Oh that's the "Great and powerful" Trixie to a tee." Snails said before both boys broke out into laughter, none of them noticed the blue girl in a witches hat behind them until she cleared her throat and folded her arms across her chest, tapped her foot and glared at them. They turned around and chuckled nervously.
"You're all lucky Trixie had a good Extended weekend up at lake Parthenope,* or she'd be mad enough to make you sorry you compared her to a second rate hack written cartoon character." She said walking off in a huff.
"Trixie wait I didn't mean it like that come back!" Peter called after her with his long box underarm leaving Snips and Snails to their cartoons. No one present noticed The Girl in a Black Skirt and Shirt with a purple star armband, and onyx equal sign on silver pendent on her neck, or the clipboard in her hands.
"Students abuse computer privileges to watch non educational material during..." It was lunch so they weren't in the wrong, but why not "conveniently forget" that part right? "Class time." She said chuckling to herself as she tapped the dot on her document and signed it with a sinister chuckle in her throat.

She zoomed by him; a flash of rainbow colored hair as he held the box in his hands. "Hey Rainbow? Wait I got something for you." Peter tried to say to the speedy girl, Rainbow slowed her pace to a walk as he was beside her, she checked the time and huffed softly.
"Sorry Pete, I gotta get to a track meet to get too." She said about to speed back up, Peter tried to speed up with her. Rainbow took this as a challenge, as she often did whenever some one saw it opt to try a mimic her actions whatever they where. Rainbow grinned and smirked as she got into her runners position and burst down the hall, she figured that with that box in his hands, Peter would be in the dust. Peter may not have been very athletic but he was actually in good shape, albeit thin. Not to mention the box was almost empty by this point.
"Rainbow I...just...want." He said between pants as he ran beside the racing girl, Rainbow was a more capable of controlling her breath to speak as she ran. Peter and Rainbow where neck and next the sports field door was only a few paces away from them.
"Heheh hey Pete, you're pretty good for a bookworm," she playfully quipped as she reached for the door. Rainbow burst through the door and went into a flip and flipped on her hands, it was a few front flips on the grass before she stuck the landing like the athlete she was, hands in the air with a victor's grin on her lips. "But not good enough to beat an awesome girl like me." She turned to look at him with her hands on her hips and a slight sashaying cock of them to the side. A perfect blend of her sporty tomboyish nature, with her feminine grace and charm. As she flashed a V sign with her finger and winked.
"If...You're...done...showing off..." He said between pants before sucking in the crisp afternoon air and breathing hard to restore his lung capacity. "I've got the books you wanted Dashie." He said as he opened the long-box and read off the titles. "Daring Do #65; Mare do well #34, Indiana Jones and the Tomb of the Gods...in hardcover , and The first issue of Black Cat, an oldie but a goodie."
"Pete I told you I have A track meet and can't take these now." Rainbow said in a huff as she turned to see Spitfire, Soarin, Lightning dust, and Bulk ('He's good at the hammer and shot but can't jump for jack.' As Spitfire said) waving her over, as the Crystal prep and San Romero High transfers holding their javelins and shot puts like weapons. Smirking and snickering with determination, one girl with a bad set of goggles on her blue poofed hair even flipped the Wonderbolts the double bird.
"Jeez...tough competition today, she's so lucky the coach Didn't see that." Rainbow said as she adjusted her windbreak and laced her track shoes tightly.
"I'll be watching and waiting for you to pick up your books okay Rainbow?" He asked her, noticing no one was in the stands for either team.
"It's not even a competitive meet today either, the teams are just here for practice, so...are you sure you wanna do that Pete? I mean there's really no reason for you to stay." Rainbow Dash said before stretching a few warm ups, Peter couldn't help but admire how flexible the athletic girl was, being able to reach with her nose almost touching the ground without even bending her knees.
"It's okay Rainbow, it may not be a competitive meet but you have my back on this." He said blushing softly as she looked back at him between her knees.
"Enjoying the view a bit much aren't we?" She said with a chuckle as she playfully gave her hips and by extension her rear a brief (but enough for him) little shake. Peter gasped and turned away stuttering nervously.
"I..I'm sorry Rainbow, I was only...I..." He blushed hard and tugged on his shirt collar with a chuckle of his own.
"Hey it's OK Pete I'm only goofing with you. I'll be with you when the meet's over, just grab a seat maybe once I'm done here...we could...if you want to...hang a bit?" She said giving a little playful gaze at him as her teammates impatiently began shouting her to hurry up and get on the track with the runners. Rainbow was definitely flirting with him as she fluttered her eyelashes at him, something the normal sporty tomboy Rainbow dash wouldn't do unless she absolutely liked someone.
"I...I would like that a lot Rainbow, I'll right there in the bleachers rooting for your team...even though there's no contest."
"Hey when your with me everything's a contest, Now let's kick some..." Rainbow said fist pumping the air making her way to the runner track, only to be interrupted by a coach.
"Watch that tongue of yours if you like being on this team Ms. Dash!" The Wonderbolts coach Ms. Fleetfoot said ready with her red card.
"What? I was gonna say tail!" She said defensiveness even though Peter Could see her fingers where crossed.
Peter took a seat as close to the track as he watched the Wonderbolts take their places at the posts; Gilda, the tough as nails girl had Spitfire hand her Javelin after javelin as she expertly threw them onto the targets of the range. Soarin sprinted the hundred meter time and time again, his sleek well built body running from one end to the next. Peter watched the graceful and majestic Rainbow dash; the way she jumped the hurdles, was able to stick the landing on her jumps and the way she was so athletic. He felt like it was all futile, for what could a strong athletic tomboy girl see in a pale nerdy comic book fanboy?
The other athletes mostly left him to watch Dashie, that is until Gilda walked over to him. Her forehead dripping with perspiration from her volley of javelin throws; she held a water bottle to her lips, the water bubbling as she greedily sucked down the icy cool refreshment. She finished taking a drink wiping her lips with the sleeve of her brown leather jacket, Gilda didn't care much for the uniforms. "Hey book worm you lost or something?" She said folding her arms on her chest and smirking at him. "This is an athletes training field not the library you know." Peter knew Gilda, a little rough around the edges but if you know how to get on her good side she'd warm that icy exterior and be more pleasant to be around. So he said as calmly as possible, "I'm just here to show my support to the best of the best Gilda, that includes you."
"Ha! if that was flattery, know that I don't flatter easily." She said ruffling his head playfully he could tell it was playful because she wasn't rubbing hard enough to make his scalp feel like it was on fire. Peter reached into the zipped up pocket of jacket feeling for just what he felt the situation called for.
"Hey Gilda," he said drawing a faux leather card holder from the pocket.
"Yeah?" She asked giving her white and purple highlighted hair a little flip, almost like...a bird ruffling its feathers. Peter flipped the cap of the deck box open and one looking close enough could just make out two words written in a green font that invoked the color and texture of slime, Garbage Pail.
"Ever heard of The Garbage Pail Kids Gilda?" he asked taking the deck from its holder and handing them to the wonderbolt to browse them.
"Kinda...Like I've only just heard of them but I've never actually seen them before." She said giggling at the hilarious ones such as Swell Mel and Nervous Rex . "Hey, some of these have 80's dates on them." Gilda said turning one card over and reading the Topps Chewing Company copyright dates ranging from 1985 to 1987 mixed with the ones from the 90s and 2000's.
"I have a few good ones from the inital run. The ones created and drawn by Art Spigelmen himself."
"The guy who wrote and drew Maus?" She asked turning her gaze to him in intrest.
"Yep the very same guy...I didn't know you read Maus Gilda."
"I only did at first because Dr. Whooves assigned it as per his AP English assignment." Her words came off as a bit confusing, Gilda in an AP class? The girl who was as rude as rude can be when that nutty girl Pinkie tried to throw her a welcome to town party? And just now had made the javelin targets into pincushions with the javelins in under three minutes? Oh well , anything is possible. "I got more and more into the book as I read it, Dash said it was like how she got into Those Daring Do books...and the source of what it was a take off of Indianan Jones. Hey this one's hilarious!" She said breaking out in laughter and showing Peter a Potty Scotty card. For all her tough as nails exterior and take no prisoners tough girl attitude, Gilda was really just an overgrown child. more boyish than girlish as most girls of any age probably wouldn't laugh at something like Potty Scotty. "Those cards are the ones that appeared in that movie they made back in 87, the Nat Nerd one even IS the offical tie in card, you can tell by the way the art is more akin to the puppet used in the movie as opposed to Art's original drawing style."
"Sweet Saints VS the Packers! You watched that movie?!" She said, puckering her purple painted lips in protest.
"I have my interests Gilda, and some of them may not always be the ones everyone else agrees with, and I don't care that they aren't the same as anyone else." He said smirking smugly just inches from those puckered lips, he retracted at the last second, wondering if she would have accepted a lip to lip touch or slapped him for it.
"You got guts Turner, You're alright in my book." She said handing him his deck back.
"Keep em," he said smiling at her and warmly.
"Your collectible deck of 80's trading cards? That could be worth a pretty penny and you're just gonna let me keep them?" She said furrowing her brow and smiling looking just like a Dreamworks character as she did so.
"Sure,I'm outta comics to to let you have so why not cards?" He said happily and cheerfully to her. Gilda only looked at him before tucking the deck box in the pocket of her leather jacket, she walked back to the field but turned back to him real quick.
"Hey Turner, Come'er will ya? Follow me." She said beckoning him. Peter got to his feet and did so obediently. Wondering just what she had in mind, his hopes of it being something that most guys would almost never want to do with GILDA of all the chicks at CHS, where quickly dashed when he saw her picking up a couple of the Kenjutsu teams wooden bokken swords . Gilda then lead him to the hammer throwing ring. Which; with its sand covering over the clay foundation, was almost akin to a sumo Dohyō .
"What's this about Gilda?" He asked as she tossed him his sword, A wooden katana made to the most intricate of detail, only lacking the craftsmanship of tempered and folded Japanese steel. She drew hers from the plastic sheath and held it up in a ready stance.
"I wanna show you some of my moves, as a way of saying thanks." She said lowering her sword to the ground.
"Onegai shimasu, Hanshi Gilda.*" He said to her with a respectful bow.
Gilda smirked and let out a soft chuckle, "Watashi no sukiru no anata no chishiki wa, rippadesu,** did you understand what I said?" She asked in English.
"I didn't know you spoke Japanese." Was all he replied with.
"There's a lot you don't know about me dude." She retorted with her stance still held.
"Domo Onegai shimasu, Hanshi Gilda." He said again headed by a "domo" as she was like a sensei to him. With her brown leather jacket; tank top underneath, and those skinny jeans, holding the wooden sword while looking at her student. It wasn't hard for anyone on the field that day to not see Gilda and think of some Samurai movie. Only it was a high school athletic track and field instead of the Samurai palace and his zen garden, tranquility shattered by the coming duel. Instead of the cherry blossom petals delicately blowing in the mountain air, the brown leaves of a North American fall where tossed about by the autumn chill. They eyes watching them not a crowd of on looking servants and fellow warriors, but the student body gathered to watch the toughest girl in school duel with the resident comic book geek.
"Junbi wa dekita ka?" She asked him, knowing there was a good chance he wouldn't understand.
"Hai." He said back finally drawing his sword and clicking its wooden blade to hers; as two dueling opponents, be they east or west, are meant to honorably do.
"ichi; ni, san!" She counted off before striking at him. The first few blows to strike each other's swords were simple, easily blocked and parried. The strikes from the Sensei where swift, but restrained so as to allow her student to understand her technique. They had no safety gear, so he was careful to avoid taking swipes at her head or limbs, as was she with him. The wood smacking together as one tried to tag the other with the blades, had gotten the attention of all the other athletes. Equipment hit the ground and runners slowed to stop as they watched the duel. Soft uttering of oohs and ahhhs, followed by gasps wondering if someone would get hurt.
"You've got skill Turner, I'm impressed." She said locking his sword with hers and pushing the blades together, trying to ring out him.
"I'm quite surprissed you're willing to teach me this, when all I did was let you keep my prized trading cards Gilda."
"No one...has ever been so nice too me, not since...what happened my first day here. That's why I'm doing this for you." She said between his attempt to push back before managing to lower her sword toward the ground and parry it.
"Oh really?" he asked smugly while clutching the blade to her chest, as if he really meant to deliver a killing strike to her heart. "Are you sure that's the only reason a pretty girl like you wants to spend time with a guy like me?" Gilda was neither moved nor angry, she simply swept the wooden sword away with a quick strike to the guard and said.
"You think I'm pretty?" Even under the circumstances, Peter could see the blush on her face at the compliment. He didn't sheath his weapon, but he did give a wide bearth between them both as he said almost as if reciting.
"You are quite a catch; not many see you as I do, strong but a beauty."
"Was that a haiku?" she said with a giggle.
"Why? Did you like it?" He said with a a hopeful look in his face. Her only reply was this; Gilda sheathed her blade, put her hands together, and gave a respectful bow. He followed suit, both gave each other respectable bows, before the student said to the master.
"Domo Arigato gozaimashita." As is customary to do. Gilda put the kendo weapons away; the students began to break up losing interest in the two, things slowly returned to normal.
"Hey Tu...Peter," the sword fighter girl said to Peter as he was just about to make his way home.
"Yeah?" He replied gathering up his backpack and long-box.
"Got a few things for you." Gilda said unzipping her own sports bag, She withdrew a can of Arizona Green tea; she popped the tab of one can for herself and took a long gulp of the sweet, and tasty tea. When she finished she then took a slip of paper from her bag and wrote something on it before handing it back to him. The note was simply her name and a phone number, with a little heart over the I in Gilda. "For when you ever wanna spar and train again..gimme a ring, kay?" She said, although there was a slight playful giggle in her voice as she did.
"Whatever you say...Sensi" He said before giving her another bow, Gilda returned the notion, by gently kissing him on the side of his mouth. Both of them blushed red as maximum tomatoes.

Some would say that'd be a bad idea to do in the modern day and age (unless you really wanted to openly say what that symbol had been made to say in most circumstances) but her shirt used only three colors, and her hair used the naturally occurring colors of the spectrum. Rainbow dash often said herself that her choice in symbol was more akin to Bifröst, the bridge that links the world of the Norse Gods Asgard to earth, or the album dark side of the moon, which only goes to show how much of one cool girl she is.
"So...Did you see the little spar we had?" He asked her as the two made their way to the parking lot.

"You're looking at it," Peter said unlocking the chain to a big silver racing bike. The frame looked far too big for someone like him; The thing had a few rust spots here and there on the frame, but the chain was well oiled and the tires pumped to perfection. It was a little rough around the edges, but it was Peter's trusty bike. I know the saying "Your're not King", but ask him and he'll tell you from writing experience, that a young man's best friend is his bike. "Rainbow Dash, meet my bike Miyazaki." He said patting the seat and smiling.
"You named you're bike after the anime director Hayao Miyazaki?" She said covering her mouth as she chuckled.
"Hey my dad...my real one." He said suddenly looking very sad, "bought me this bike for my eleventh birthday along with a copy of Miyazaki's first film The Castle of Cagliostro. So I named it after him, plus..." He said smirking as he mounted the bike, "watch this." He grabbed the handle bars, and reared the bike onto its back wheel while pedaling to do a wheelie. All the while letting a cry of "High Ho...Miyazaki! AWAY!" Channeling The Lone Ranger and his signature cry with his own spin on it. Peter never got tired of it; the rush of balancing ever so precariously on one wheel, the speed the bike picked up and carried him off on...you could say he was...Spirited Away.
"So you don't have a car?" Rainbow asked holding back the urge to laugh, not because she found laughable in a "You should be embarrassed by this" way, but rather in a "You're a funny guy Peter," way.
"Nope, Miyazaki's all I need Dashie." Peter said giving the bike's bell a ring. As he did, Rainbow Dash Locked up her car door's, and made sure the alarms where rigged just in case.
"Can I...Go for a ride with you on Miyazaki?" She asked twirling a lock or her hair and blushing hard. She hadn't been on a bike in a while, and to feel the wind in her hair, the thrill of speeding down hills, but there was something else too. They pedaled out the school lot; down the driveway, and finally out into the streets. Peter, having never done anything like this before, was very nervous about it.
"Rainbow?" He asked placing his head over her shoulder, more to be able to see better, but there was a touch of affection in placing it there.
"Yeah?" she asked with a playful and flirty flutter of her eyelashes. He couldn't help but look into the sparkling depth of reddish hue they gleamed with.
"Uhhh...where do you live?" He asked as a truck horn blared at them, snapping both of them out of the daze. Peter swerved the handle bars and made a sharp turn, as a big Mac truck narrowly flattened them both, but they where able to safely pull back into the bike lane and cut into a park where there was less chance of getting run over.
"STAY OFF THE STREETS AND GET A ROOM WILL YA!" The angry drive yelled out the window at them when he pulled over at the red light. At the front gate of the park they pulled into; Rainbow only flipped the truck off, not caring if he saw her hand or not.
"Heh, thought you were above that kinda behavior Dash." Peter said with a chuckle as they pedaled into the park, a duckling pond their left, the low hanging green of willows to their right. The sun sinking low into the horizon; the birds giving their final calls of the late afternoon, as the young couple rode along.
"That wasn't a swear Pete, big difference." She said with a giggle as the wind ruffled her hair. "Oh and to answer your question, Clouds-dale Apartments. It's just at the other end of this park actually." They rode through the park a bit longer before the Clouds-Dale Apartments came into view. The building was a condominium high rise that overlooked the park, its facade of being made of white stone with carvings along the walls with their puffy and swirling patters along them really did make the condo look like it was made of clouds.
"This is where you live Rainbow?" He asked looking up at the towering house of bubbly clouds.
"Yep, top floor penthouse too boot." She said with a hint of pride.
"Really? how in the high hell can you afford that?" He asked as he walked beside her, bike in tow to the front door.
"My parents have great connections, they let me live here mostly on my own here while they...go out seeing the world." She said sighing softly as the two of them entered the lobby and made their way to elevators.
"You...don't have that good a connection with your folks?" He asked calling the elevator.
"I just don't see them very much; but it works, I get my own crash pad, they get to travel a lot and just wait until you see my penthouse." She said smiling as they boarded the elevator and hit the big red button for the suite.
"Better than life with my folks," Peter said with a sigh.
"What do you mean?"
"Well....My dad left home when I turned twelve, I haven't seen him since, supposedly he left the country and claimed asylum in Jamaica to avoid the alimony and child support, and my Ma? she's dating some grade A fucker that doesn't even want to do anything for me." Peter felt his eyes swell up and knew he was about to cry; in front of a strong tough girl, he didn't care. "He's told me time and time again; Peter, real soon your mom and I are packing our bags and moving to Argentina, and when we do, you're on your own. We won't pay the rent on this house and you won't be your mother's or my responsibility, so you better have something planned, because I wont care if they kick you out of here when the rent stops being payed, and you end up in some shelter. you'll....not be my...problem by then."
Peter collapsed to the elevator floor and covered his hands in his face; his sobs where stifled, but not muffled. He cried and for the first time since his mom's boyfriend David told him this, he cried. The pain of feeling so alone; reject, and unwanted, his heart felt like it was bout to stop beating just from the crushing pain he felt coursing in it. He felt a hand on his shoulder, then his cheek. Rainbow tilted his head up to look at her; she got onto her knees and down to his level, before helping him back to his feet. They said nothing as she slowly wrapped her arms around him and softly placed her ear on his chest, she could hear the beats of his heart slow to a steady rythm before she pulled away just a bit to look directly at him.
"Oh Peter! I'm...so sorry he did that too you." Rainbow Dash said as she cuddled his shoulder, the elevator finally reaching its destination and opening to her suite.

That wan't entirely true; Peter did have a job, but a person that reads to elderly people who have bad eyesight, and keeping them company isn't paid much, he is in a way not payed at all, it was more a volunteering thing. Aside from the couple of dollars they'd give him in saying thanks for doing so much for those who need it the most in their golden years. David didn't care much for volunteering mostly because it; by definition doesn't pay, but what could you expect from a man without a drop of sympathy left in his cold heart.
"Pete? You won't have to worry about it with me, just..promise me you'll try? can you promise me that?" She said giving him a soft nuzzle.

"Ms. Glimmer? Celestia said reaching for her door keys." "What are you doing here? There's no class today." Starlight only smiled and snapped her fingers, prompting Twilight to lift a briefcase onto her her hands.
"Principal Celestia, we of your new Student Security Squad have some business we'd like too discuss." Starlight said as Twilight handed her the case and she fiddled with the locks.
"Ms. Glimmer couldn't this have waited until Monday?"
"I'm afraid that's quite...impossible."
Rainbow's Apartment
They sat at her kitchen table; plates with fresh fried eggs, hot sizzling skirt steaks and frozen hash browns. The young couple gazed more into each other's eyes then the food as they ate. "I think it'd be best we stay friends...best friends with really close benefits, okay Petey?" She said giving a little giggle and leaning over the table until her face was inches from his, Dash licked the side of his cheeks that had steak grease on them lovingly.
"Can I still say I love you Dashie?" He said shivering at the touch of her lips.
"Of course Petey...only if I can still call you that okay?" She said ruffling his head playfully. He gently kissed her cheeks and it was then an idea came to mind; Peter picked up Rainbow Dash's fork and cut off a bit of her egg whites; catching on to his little game, She opened her mouth with an AHHH! and let him feed her. both of them couldn't contain the giggles and laughs but it was a notion that appealed to them both.

"Yes Yes, all according to plan...heheh all according to plan." Starlight said as she twisted her hands together in delight. Images of giving anyone who she could send to her new.."Detention hall," her own personal punishment made the girl aroused and excited to have them all under her thumb...and maybe her feet too. She'd try anything once, after all.
"Ms. Glimmer, I trust there won't be any abuse of these privileges I'm granting you?" Celestia said, briefly breaking free of the mind manipulation hold spell the emerging mage had her under. Remember that her equestrian form was that of a magic user, the unicorn.
"Oh I can assure you Principal Celestia there will be no problems with any involved." She said tightening her grip on the mortal woman's mind. "Pity you will never know of or unlock your own potential for magic Celestia, as you are forever ignorant of your own form as the princess of all our forms as ponies in another world."
Rainbow's Apartment
"What do you wanna do today?" Peter asked her as they snuggled close in each other's arms, The movie on her till halfway through. He lovingly stroked her hair softly and felt her gentle hand on his as she gripped it tight.
"After the movie...you feel like getting back on Miyazaki and going for a ride to the Saturday special at the fairgrounds?" She asked her thoughts going back to that night with her friends. Funny how they opted not to use the song they came up with from that day for the band battle.
"I should warn you Dashie, I'm not exactly Mr. Lucky on the midway." He said giving her a soft nuzzle.
"Hey that doesn't matter to me Pete, all that matters is spending the day with you understand." She said looking at him with eyes that said just how much she cared for him, with their ruby red glow.
"You're my kinda girl Dash." He said inching his lips to hers.
"I know, and You're my kinda guy."
"I thought you're kinda guy would be the sporty track star jock." He said with a chuckle.

Morning after
The first thought in his head; oh my head, Fucking hangovers! second, What time is it? third, fuck. Flash Sentry Looked around the apartment the transfer girls had dragged him back to. One was from some school out in New Salem, Laura something...Laura Draco? He thought trying to recall her name too clouded by the New Amsterdam orange flavored vodka and cheap Palo Viejo Rum still trying to filter through his blood. The other (most guys would call the situation lucky) was some redheaded skank (In his mind she was one anyway) from some fancy place...he tried to recall the name of the school she told him she came from last night. "Alfea academy wasn't it?" Flash said softly to her. The redhead smiled in her sound sleep and placed and arm where flash had been in between them not too long ago. When she couldn't feel him there her expression briefly became one of concern but quickly shaped back into a smile when the pale pinkish white girl on the right side placed her own arm over her in her sleep and they drew each other closer together.
"Least they can keep each other cozy." Flash thought looking around; the apartment wasn't too bad, the place was nicely kept and better then the roach motel he expected to wake up in, but it was a far cry from his house in the vale, the premium gated community on the edge of Canterlot, bordered by the King James III Country club and the shore, it was a far better place for a rich boy like him. Not to mention with a reputation to uphold as a star quarterback and captain of the C.H.S football team on the line of being seen in a place like this. Part of him hated to leave the two ladies here after a night of boozing and banging it up, but in spite of what most people will say about him, Flash wasn't all that nice a guy.
"Price to pay when you got and image to uphold and a lot your shoulders, sorry girls nothing personal." He said to them both struggling to get his Letterman jacket on having only recently got it for his new position on varsity, lucky him. He felt the pocket and felt relief when he found his wallet (and cash) still in one pocket as well as his car keys. For some reason; looking at the pink pale girl with her black and pink highlighted hair, made Flash feel on his neck as if checking it for not just a hickey, but also a wound. Like a real blood causing wound, thankfully while she did love bite him, she hadn't drawn blood. In his rush to get home and play it sick in bed before his parent busted him, Flash didn't realize the chain of events he was going to play a crucial role in that day.
It's commonly believed that once you sleep it off, The booze in your system is burned off and you're in the clear albeit with a raging hangover screaming in your skull. Well that's not entirely true. See; for a few hours after you've rotted out your insides, the B.A.C. levels can still cause some of the effects of alcohol to affect your system. So when he made his way down those steps struggling not to stumble down them and fracture his neck, Flash was still highly impaired from the booze in his system. Only since he believed that with it being hours after drinking, that he was just fine. Not true in the slightest given how he struggled to find his control enough to open the door to his Camaro open.
"Uhh my head, damn those two skanks, too cheap to get their...'mule' to buy the good stuff. Wouldn't be still fucked up if the shit they had that bum buy for us the same cheapo shit he drinks on a daily basis." The very colorful vocab of Flash was declaring as he finally got behind the wheel before clutching his temples as a throbbing attack of pain surged through his skull and a ringing almost like explosion shock practically made his eardrums rupture. "Uh Damn it all...Maybe I should just..." No wait around here for the girls to wake up and they'll have the biggest man on C.H.S campus dead to rights, who knows what they could get from blackmailing him with everything they had?
Flash turned the AC on with the windows up and blared the radio to a heavy metal station. Flash wasn't the biggest metal fan but the wild and vulgar (as vulgar the radio let them be at least) hard rocking guitar tunes of the particularly bad track the station picked was an Anacin in comparison to the pain in his skull. Okay a quick three blocks to get a Espresso shot (make it double) from a drive thru; another 14 to the expressway, then two miles to the off ramp into the vale, piece of cake.
Bike Ride
"High Ho! Miyazaki!" The not quite timid Teenager Peter Page-turner said as he made a wheelie pop with the Girl he liked...loved even over the handle bars. "Away!" With that; the two of them took off down the incline of the aptly named Clayton Moore Drive; the steep winding street all but empty of the cars that often use caution when going down, but the two on the bike? Such a fear was lost on them. Peter felt like the sightless swashbuckler Daredevil himself as the wind rushed into his ears. Pulse throbbing in his sides, and the adrenaline surging thorough every nerve as he tightened his grip on the bars. As for Rainbow Dash; It felt like...flying. Sure she possessed hidden away, a pair of fully usable pegasus wings that only need her concentration to summon and allow her to actually do just that, but what good was the thrill of a wild bike ride down a hill when you can't enjoy it the same way as non flyers? Even with the actual powers of the pegasus within her, there was still the heart stopping thrill as she sat on the bars her palms the only thing keeping her from being sent flying in a less pleasant way as her hair flew behind her like rainbow tassels in the wind.
"Peter!?" She shouted over the wind.
"Yeah!?" He shouted back.
"Are you sure you know what you're doing?!"
"Rainbow...I have no idea!" He said laughing wildly as he did start gently pumping the brakes on the handlebars. The trick was to pump not force them, doing so at the speeds they had reached would be disastrous. Pumping them more gradually however would allow the bike to slow down at a pace that would allow them to safety brake.
The intersection of destiny
"Oh Carrot, I don't think Pound should be so close to the street so soon." The woman with hair that looked like a dollop of frosting just outside sugar cube corner said nervously. Mrs. Cup Cakes; her husband Carrot Cakes, and their twin children Pound and Pumpkin, had gone outside to enjoy the autumn weather. The twins had just passed from their infancy, but they still where small toddlers. Diapers traded for training pants, Bottles for sippy cups, (though Pumpkin was a bit reluctant to give up hers easy) walking just starting to kick in, and vocab limited to little tidbits of the English language.
"Honey Bun," Mr. Cake said helping his son catch the mini soccer ball in his little hand. How are they ever gonna be social with the other tykes if they don't get out more? He said giving his son a little ruffle on his head and chuckle, the little boy responded with a soft.
"Dada!" While squeaking happy. None present could foresee what was just around the corner.
Drive
The thrashing metal music; the icy AC in the middle of September, and the coffee in his cup holder could only do so much for the hangover driving Flash. Maybe if he cracked a mag on health while getting his perfect teeth cleaned at Crest Hour's (Colgate minute's Brother) dentist office, or read that pamphlet at his dermatologist office on the subject, he'd have known better that day about driving with a hangover. "Almost there!" He shouted groggily his foot hitting the accelerator to get up to speed onto the off ramp. Maybe If Flash had only though of taking it slow and steady, things would have been different. His Camero roared with its horsepower gunned at maximum overdrive and he sped down the street to the intersection where Sugar Cube Corner lead onto the highway.
Last moments of peace.
The bike coasted gently to a stop just outside the newly renovated Sugar Cube Corner; The Cakes family smiled at the two of them happily, Mrs. cake noticed the riders being a boy and girl couple prompting her to comment how it reminded her of her husband and their first date, because he hadn't gotten permission to use the delivery van from his father for anything but deliveries. The comment prompts Rainbow to chuckle nervously and blush before asking,
"Pinkie in today?" Before Dismounting the handle bars.
"She sure is dearie, go on in while I get these two ready for lunch...Sugar dumpling?" She asked her husband looking a bit nervous, "Where's pound?" A light blue girl with snow white hair raises her hand pointing to the little boy chasing after the mini soccer ball rolling into the street then shrieks in panic as the black Camero is darting down the street towards him. "SWEET CINNAMON STICKS! CARROT THE BABY!" She screams taking to her heels as does the father.
"SLOW DOWN THERE'S A KID IN THE ROAD!" Mr. Cake Shouts unaware that his voice can't be heard over the raging beat of Metallica's The Unforgiving blared over the XM stereo.
The Car
"What the hell are they doing?!" Flash asked in his haze of post drunkenness at the adults running toward the curb flailing their arms like crazy. His car was so low to the ground and the seat even lower, that he couldn't even begin to see the tiny boy chuckling happily unaware of the ever approaching car. Camaro's aren't exactly two ton Mack trucks, but to a little one so small and delicate, just out of their baby days, Its enough metal and speed times velocity to equal...an untimely end.
Reflexes kick in; time seems to slow, Mrs. Cake readies her frantic scream. The image of her son splattered by the car already coming into focus like a Polaroid fresh out the slot. Mr. Cake's breath cathces in his throat as he stumbles on a bump. The younger male Peter, almost as if under some strange force, act other wise. His feet make him dive from the seat of Miyazaki, carried by the force of the dive. Time slows down around him, seconds feel like hours, it's the closest you can get to bullet time in reality. Arms stretch out for little Pound Cakes's grey shirt, not sure what good it will do, He catches the back of the child before the flying dive makes him roll onto his back. The child in his arms safe, looking at him while the sun blazes down into his eyes, all he hears is the sounds of screams and the blaring of the cars horn. The boy smiles at him, he smiles back. Then time catches up with him.
The initial impact doesn't feel too bad; His shoulders are arguably better to land on the asphalt then his chest and belly, less chance of something getting ruptured by bone fragments. Then comes the pain in his foot, It's searing and excruciating, the car clearly had struck it hard enough to twist the ankle and sprain it. Then Comes the pain of landing on his shoulders. He tries to tell himself that its better since they absorbed the impact on his spine, and hopefully that means his actions haven't cost him his mobility. He can still feel his legs, because had the fall crippled him then he shouldn't be feeling the swelling in his foot. So there's that.
He's given a harsh reminder he's not Wolverine; or Deadpool, despite the similar name he isn't Peter Parker, aka the Amazing Spider-man. He's not the Incredible Hulk who's muscles protect him from harm, He's definitely not the man of steel Superman, or Cyborg who's metal body is like armor, he's not Lobo, the last of his race (because he killed all the others to be the last one) who's regeneration allows him to smoke a cigar in space, and hes not even the villain Saber-tooth or Micheal Morbius. As much as he'd give anything too be, just to make the pain stop. Blood rushes to his head as things get hazy, He can just barley hear Mrs. Cake Cry out,
"Dear Heavens above! Someone call an ambulance!" AS she lifter her son into her arms and held him like she'd never let him go, "OH Thank you! Thank You!" She said through tears as his vision faded to black. It wasn't his time, but a body can only take so much when you're not a superhero.
Recovery
"Mr. and Mrs. Cakes! I think he's coming around!" He heard a distant voice call, it was a girl but not rainbow dash, it was someone else..someone who...he didn't expect to be talking with again for a while. His eyes opened up to a light blue haired girl with snow white hair. She smiled at him and placed a hand on his shoulder, for some reason...their was no pain. "Hello Peter." The Great and Powerful Trixie said to him before tapping his foot softly, again there was no pain.
"I just don't understand it, I saw the kid and practically heard the bones cracking." Mr. cake said as placed a fresh warm compress on his back under his shirt. "By all accounts, you ought to be in a body cast Peter." He said as Trixie fiddled with the compress.
"Now Honey bun, maybe the fall just wasn't as bad as we thought." Mrs. Cakes said as she walked over to him with a steaming mug of rose-hip and hibiscus tea for him. Peter had been sat into the softest booth the bakery had, and while an Ambulance hadn't been called, a police cruiser was outside.
The officer stuck a breathalyzer into Flash's mouth hard and said harshly "breathe kid." The officer had a special ire for drunk drivers, having seen what they can do, especially to little ones more times then he would have ever wanted. The test came back 0.0 no blood alcohol but the after shocks, he had left in the clear, as much as he would have given anything to book this S.O.B with A DUI, there was nothing he could legally do, it was like a child murderer being free on a miss-signed or missing search warrant in the officer's morality book, but there was nothing he could do. Of course the punk was looking at failure to stop at an intersection, reckless driving; reckless endangerment, and endangering the welfare of a child at the least.
"Peter?" Rainbow Dash said looking at him as he sipped the tea.
"Yeah?" He asked her feeling almost as if...nothing had ever happened.
"You're either incredibly brave or unbelievably stupid...but...I guess that makes you unbelievably cool." She said smiling at him lovingly. "I'd hug you but as an athlete, I know that could only cause more pain."
"Actually Dashie...I can't really explain it, but I don't feel any pain anymore." He said stepping on his "sprained" ankle that had miraculously healed up.
"But?...How did?" Rainbow dash said in awe at the now nonexistent injuries. Neither of them noticed the light blue girl with silver hair as she left the shop. No one noticed the faint orange glow emitting from her hands as she smiled and chuckled as she adjusted her blue witches hat and silver pentacle necklace around her neck.
Aftermath
As Peter and Rainbow made their way out of Sugar Cube Corner, a white van with Channel 4 news on the side with a logo of a big red 4 on the side and the transmission tower on the roof, the daily police and ambulance scanner chasers out for a quick story. The van pulled over right beside them both and the reporter jumped from the back with a mic in hand, and with the cameraman right behind her. "Hey kid, the local news wants a scoop on how you saved the baby that wandered onto the street." She said the while trying to shove the mic into Peter's face.
"Please no comment, I really don't want to make a big deal out of this." And it was true; Peter was all the more concerned with putting the whole thing behind him, rather then milk the situation the way many people who earn their 15 mins of fame, its better to not have any. He mounted the seat of the over-sized bike and gestured for Rainbow to do the same on the handle bars. she whispered into his ear.
"Just say a few things in the camera for them or it'll take all day to get them off our backs." Before taking her spot on the handlebars. Peter sighed softly and recollected the most of the story he could to the reporter; from diving off the seat of his bike to catch Pound Cake, to the arrest of the driver, claiming not to know him because while he didn't "like" Flash all that much, there wasn't any vying between them to have him shamed on the local news.
"And so I just got the kid out the way and the guy's spending the night in jail maybe longer, and I'm sure the Cakes appreciate the gesture. Can we please go now?" He said almost pleadingly to the reporter.
"Yeah sure kid I got everything I need now thanks." When they left Peter was glad to see their van pull away; He finally got the pedals going and sped off with Rainbow Dash in tow. The story would hit the news by Five o'clock and while these kinda stories don't last very long, unless they impact people in some major ways...even the word getting around that one small act of being valiant, leads to more.
Gilda's House
She took a deep breath and reached up wrapping her slender hands around the metal bar tight. Her finger's may have been slender and feminine but under the skin was an iron vice grip and pure muscle. Her parents had long abandoned any notion of using the basement she had moved into. Her walls where decorated with posters of the 2000 Olympics women's weightlifting gold medalists; as well as the Olympic track stars from over the years, there was also a poster of BO Jackson that mentioned how Nike would be ready if he took up more hobbies (this was before the game breaking injury 91) as well as the classic "Hang in there baby," and a life size poster of R Lee Ermey from Full Metal Jacket with a few choice quotes of "Who's the slimy comet of shit cocksucker down here who just signed his own death warrant!" and "You had best UN-fuck yourself or I will unscrew you're head!" Positioned just under the blue cot she preferred to sleep in.
Not all of Gilda's decor was this...brash; she did own a comfy couch to relax in, and there some very beautiful prints of traditional Japanese artwork on her walls, including a copy of a famous piece of the Shinto goddess Amaterasu . A sort of Ying to the Yang of the more hard-line decor she favored. Gilda took a deep breath and began her bench presses, each one coming to her faster and faster. Her arms pumped the iron bar with the two hundred pound (at least fifteen pounds over the recommend weight even for experts like her) weight to her chest again and again.
The sweat on her forehead dripping to the floor; the stains forming under the arms of her black zip up jacket and pants, a look for her exercises she directly modeled after Jennifer Garner playing Elektra in the Daredevil movie. Her chest felt like it was going to explode and her breath came in gasps but more desperate for a breather than weakness, finally she let out a loud cry of victory as she planted the barbell on the rack and got up. "OH YEAH! FUCKIN A!" She shouted as her white hair hung in bangs in front of her sweaty face. Gilda didn't to worry about the noise, her folks are rarely home before ten.
Her arms may have felt like they where on fire but she didn't care, She walked over to a brown copper kettle and the carved wooden cups on a low hanging table, a traditional Japanese tea set. Tonight's choice brew was Kohki tea, very antioxidant rich and just what her her body and mind needed. As she sipped the warm drink with a cup in one hand, her other picked up the remote to her TV. The story of the boy she sparred with just a few days ago playing on the channel four news.
Gilda sat on her couch sipping her tea as she watched; the story retold as best as they could having not been able to aquire footage of the actual act itself. despite how quick Peter had been to get the reporters to leave him alone, Gilda got the jist of what he did. "Guy risked his own neck to make sure the Cake's baby was safe, cool." She said taking another sip. She clicked the TV off and swapped it out for her CD player of Shamisen music. Gilda got into a meditation position and subconsciously found herself in front of her prized possession. A wooden Bokken made and tempered to fight with.
The wooden Sword sat in its scabbard on a traditional holder and a simple table covered in a plain white table cloth. Even though it was only wood, she treated it as if it was a real tempered steel blade. She gazed at it attentively while the strings and percussion sounds of the music from the land of the rising sun went through her ears. Ever since she first moved here; almost nothing had gone right. The way she was so mean and nasty to pretty much every one; the fact that she flat out stole from a food stand, and then there was that party. She sighed and said aloud, "If I could just show everyone that I'm not the bitch I was then anymore, I could live a much happier life and wouldn't feel like I still am the school bitch."
Gilda got up and walked over the sword; she picked it up only to quickly put it down, doing a heel turn to her wardrobe, she traded her Elektra jacket for her familiar brown leather one with a feathered collar, she then opened one of the wardrobe drawers for a black studded belt, which she looped through her jeans. Gilda added a matching ankle bracelet to her left boot; followed by her favorite headband of the flag of Hong Kong to her head. A few more items such as a spiked bracelet to her left wrist, and a leather one with the symbol for Ying and Yang on the strap to her right. She wasn't trying to imitate any super heroine in particular, she was being herself, Gilda Griffin. "Fucking A." She said smiling at her mirror.
Rise of Rarity
At the same time; a familiar fashionista sat at her work bench sewing her latest design for an outfit together. Rarity sat at her fashion design station with her glasses on her eyes and pins in her teeth as the machine laced and pieced the fabric together. "They said nobody can make yellow look good." She said with a laugh as she worked. She stopped the machine only once to consider doing something she had been debating for a while. Rarity set the half made outfit aside and stood up in her chair; she raised her hands pointing at the jacket and began to concentrate. Rarity; being a unicorn in her other form was by right a magic user. She unlike others such as Trixie Lulamoon, had know this for a while yes, but this was one of the first times it felt like magic was coming to her with out the need to use the other girls and the odd one out the pony world Twilight .
As she focused a purple pink aura of energy formed from her hands and the place on her head where a "horn" would be. Rarity didn't gain her ears or said horn when she had called on the equestrian magic, but it worked for what she needed. A memory of the Green Lantern comics Peter had let her read and had given her came back to her as well as the Power Pony comics that directly spoofed them. The blue outfit with gems and the green one of the oddball out Lantern Kyle Rayner, as her aura took on the shape of a pair of scissors. She focused as hard as she could to have her construct hold but it faded and she felt drained.
"Oh my, I'd make a terrible lantern!" She said burying her face in her hands. "This magic I have found and I can't even hold a simple pair of scissors together." She said sounding glum, almost defeated. She went over to the hand made French Boudoir and opened it up. Inside; was a hand made costume she had been working so hard on, one she based on the uniform of the Star Sapphires themselves. Rarity reached out to the mask on the hook and she put it on smiling into the little mirror on the back wall.
"Come now Rarity girl, you cant keep doubting yourself like that, but why can't my magic be as strong as I've heard that other Twilight tell me so much about?" She slipped off her skirt and top and slipped the Star Sapphire costume on and stuck a heroic pose as best as she could with a manga girl wink in the mirror. It was then she realized just what she was missing. Rarity flipped a Green Lantern comic open to a page and took in the detail of the ring on the finger; she memorized every detail as much as she could in the ring before taking her jewelry box from her desk. She sorted through various rings of styles and sizes until she found one she liked. It didn't directly echo and hearken to the Star Sapphire ring, it was an ordinary gold band ring with a tri-cut purple Amethyst gem in the center, but it suited her.

She recited from the comic she had opened; she felt silly doing so, like a kid with a toy ring actually believing saying the oath works, but it did! The gem of Rarity's ring glowed bright purple as an aura shot out in a beam and stuck the jacket she was working on and wrapped it up. Rarity focused all her thoughts into what she really wanted from the outfit, focusing all the energy and channeling it into the ring on her hand. The energy sending a warm glow through the costume on her body, as the images of scissors and trim, cutting and stitching in place on the jacket flew by her eyes.
She opened her eyes and smiled, she had the cut on the trim the jet black she wanted with the rhinestones spelling out "Rough Rider" on the back of the yellow motorcycle jumper just as she wanted. "Gilda's jacket is ready; and," she said looking at the gem on her ring finger, "So am I." She said feeling the energy coursing through her body.

Trixie opened the door to her house and stepped past the threshold letting her schoolbag hit the floor as she often did, not bothering to carry the damn thing to her room just to mess with her guardian aunts. "Aunt Zatanna? Aunt Xanadu?" The budding witch said aloud not surprised that neither where home yet. Uh what a day this has been. She said kicking her boots off on the stairs as she made way up to her bedroom. She opened the creaky old door and collapsed onto her bed with an exhausted sigh. Trixie's magic was very well developed when it came to healing but she only wished some of that magic could be used to give her energy when a long day had taken its toll on the girl.
"Guess I should just get some sleep to feel refreshed the old fashioned way." She said as she opened the drawer of her night table and taking a payday bar from a stash. She unwrapped it with a blue aura of magic, chuckling at her almost mundane use of the power she possessed. She looked into the drawer again and was a bit surprised to see an old Archie comic in the drawer, but not just any Archie comic. It was an issue of the aptly fitting to the girl looking at it, Sabrina The Teenage Witch. It was an old issue from back in the day, but it was as timeless to the other girl as anything else.
"You and I seem to be direct mirrors of each other, sister." Trixie said as she flipped the comic open; levitated in her magic no less, as Trixie read contently she didn't notice the stray black and white cat the watched her outside her window. The cat sat on a branch outside Trixie's window and seemed to be watching her read, as if it knew just what she was thinking as she flipped through the pages of Spellmen's story. Trixie finally closed the book when she finished it, before using her magic to cuddle up for a nap in her blankets. She sighed happily and turned her head to the cat outside her window, she chuckled softly getting up and opening the window. The cat didn't run from her but it didn't jump into her room either.
"Okay this is getting way to weird to be just coincidence." She said to the cat before getting back into her bed for a quick nap, still the cat didn't enter her room, but she had a feeling it would when it was ready.
"Hey give that back I need it!" Twist said to the older girls who had snatched her asthma pump from her as she took her daily dose for her chronic asthma. Twist was often worried about taking her medication when ever she was in public; often for this very reason, to be seen as someone...different or even weak because of her asthma. So it was a bit of a shock when three older (and meaner) girls stopped her outside the pharmacy and began laughing at her and calling her names like "Wheezy." They surrounded her making themselves look bigger as they closed in on her; their black and white checkered skirts, and innocent "Daddy's girl" pressed white shirts where betrayed by their actions. Not that the pharmacy in downtown Canterlot attracted trash like the girls hectoring her now, but no place is perfect. Even Maine has some crime in it.
"You want this back?" The leader girl with her brown hair tied in a bun said waving the pump in her face; as Twist reached for it, the girl raised it up over her and out of reach. "Come on wheezy, just take it."
"Please you don't understand!" She said her breath becoming raspy and short. She knew what was coming, and she didn't like it. "I have very severe asthma and need to take my Medication now or I'll have a major asthma attack." She said almost as if she was begging for her life, which in some cases, she was. The only waved the inhaler in her face as they watched in sadistic joy as Twist struggled to breathe and grasped at her chest desperate for air.
Behind them came another girl's voice, it was a a gruff growling voice that said, "Hey! You girls ever heard the expression to pick on someone your own size?" The three of them turned around to see a girl in a brown leather jacket; she had some red headband with a white flower on it, the flag of Hong Kong. Her arm had a black armband with nasty looking spikes on them and that wasn't all, her eyes were hidden behind a black domino mask, The image instantly evoked the spirit of the cheap Kung-fu and street brawler matinees of a bygone age .
"Well well, look who want's to play hero." The other one with a bad set of pigtails on her and an telltale patch of sick yellow and brown nicotine stains on her blouse. The smoky breaths she blew toward the heroic Gilda made her thank Tsukuyomi she gave up the habit herself after a year of experimenting with it. She drew a pair of red nunchaku from her hips and let them swing with the skill of a martial arts master. The way she spun them and made the fast movements of her weaponry, made the other girl's jaws drop in a mix of awe and fear.
` "The way I see it ladies," She said while swinging the acetone plastic bars dangerously close to the bully girl's heads. "You can hand that asthma pump back and walk away knowing you only had to see just what I could have done to bitches like you...Or I show you all the toys I brought to play with." She said reaching for her bokken she had sheathed on her back.
"Fuck off!" The smoker says standing her ground a lit Marlboro steaming away in her lips.
"Have it you're way." She said Tossing the red nunchaku at them, they struck two of them square in the skulls, prompting Gilda to draw the bokken with a *Fwip!* and place it on the chest of the remaining one not dazed from a strike. "Still want to mess with little kids?" She said reeling her sword back in a blow. the other girl reached into her pocket, the silver handle of a butterfly knife flipped open with metallic clicks and rattles of springs and gears locking the blade in place.
"I'm going to cut my name across both your flat as a board boobs for that you fucking cunt!" She snapped taking a stab at her.
"You kiss you're mother with that filthy mouth?" Gilda quipped lashing her sword at Ms. Butterfly knife's side, only to just miss and ruffle the fabric.
"Didn't you just drop a B bomb at us?" Ms. B retorted back with a nasty jab of the knife that almost went right into the crotch of Gilda's jeans.
"At least I'm not one...anymore." She said bringing the wooden blade onto B's shoulder, her training with it enabling her to just miss the nerve clusters that would have crippled her, it only made her scream in excruciating pain and drop her blade.
"Ahhh you bitch!" She snapped doubling over in pain as Gilda struck her square in the hip, again the blow just barley held back from fracturing bone. The other girl fell to the ground and the other two took off running afraid of the sword of Gilda.
"Damn it she doesn't have the asthma pump on her." She said checking her pockets. the pump wasn't on the ground either and she'd wasted enough time as it was in the fight. Gilda looked at Twist; she was in sitting on the ground and trying desperately to breathe.
"Help me, I need to get to the hospital." She said as best as she could. Gilda sheathed the blade and retrieved her side weapons. She picked the girl up in her arms and took off running along the streets, houses and shops flying by, the only thing she though about as she ran was the small child in her arms dying because of some second rate bullies picking on her. Gilda wasn't exactly a saint in her own past, but she'd never do anything THIS cruel, so ruthless and senseless it could ever cost someone their life.
As Twist steadied her breathing and tried to reduce the swelling of her lungs. The two of them made their way up and down side walks and streets the other girls sense of direction for the city the only thing she had to go on to reach the hospital.When she finally saw it just a few feet in front of her she bolted for the rear trauma ward the Paramedics often delivered their pick ups too. The lane that said ambulances only meaning nothing to Gilda as she darted into the driveway for them, and toward the metal doors that lead to the ward. She booted the gurney doors making the nurse behind the desk jump as she ran into the squeaky clean halls of the hospital.
"What is the meaning of this? You can't just go charging into wards like that ma'am, and take that mask off before I" The nurse began rambling before she was stopped by realizing there was a girl in critical condition in the older one's arms. Gilda looked her dead in they eyes with a look she knew could make the nurse (tag read Red Heart) back off but not get the wrong idea about her.
"Asthma attack; I think it's a fatal one, now are you going to do your damn job or not?" she said placing Twist onto a nearby chair to help her breathe. The nurse apologized as scenes from old 80's Daredevil comics are surprisingly not a common thing to happen around the ward. She alerted the ward of red zone asthma attack; as the paramedics in the ward placed Twist on a gurney and attached an oxygen mask to her face. The heart monitor thankfully picking up a stable beat as Twist returned to stable condition. The ward was too busy to notice the other girl that had brought dangerous weapons to the ward, nor did they see her slip out under the cover of the pandemonium.
It was a few hours later when the three girls who bullied her where clustered in a dank and grimy alley in the backwater dumping grounds of downtown. In Canterlot City the terms uptown and downtown where quite literal. Runoff and grey-water flowed like clockwork in the streets and drains and pipes of downtown. The girls took seats on the dumpsters and garbage pails of the alley, smoker kicked a few cans over in anger. "Damn it! I swear if I see that goody good' pussy licking bitch piece of shit again, I swear I'll shove a buck knife up her over licked joy trial, and slit her up the middle so far she'll paint this alley with her insides!"
"While I have experimented with an "alternative partner" or two in my time," A voice said seemingly from nowhere, "I think I'm like say Sinead O'Connor, and if I may paraphrase from her a bit. "I’m three-quarters of one thing, and a quarter of the other, but...I think I'd prefer a dude even more if he's not afraid of trimming more than his hair and face if you get my drift." The voice made all three of thee look around with one drawing a buck knife and the other a box cutter with the blade springing out with audible clicks. Smoker's own butterfly had been taken by Gilda, even if blades of real metal weren't her cup of tea.
Gilda was above them in the fire escape of the alley watching them from above and taking note of their tactics; sloppy, they think keeping in close formation and watching the shadows will work, but she's read The Art of War and knows all the tactics of everyone from the lowly cut purses and street scum, to the infantry of the armies from her own countries to even the ones you'd least expect like India and Ireland.
Gilda reached into a pouch on her side and pulled a bundle of Teflon wire and tied it into a noose, no she wasn't going to do that to them, but she'd make them wish she had. She clipped a rappelling cord to her belt buckle and stood on the railing of the lowest level of the fire escape; she took a deep breath and let herself fall over the side upside down. She grabbed the buck knife first and used the cord to get her and herself back up unto fire escape where she fixed the loop noose over waist. She looked at the girl's sickly blonde hair, the badly applied makeup to her eyes and lips. with her hand over her mouth, she lifted it only a few seconds. Before she could let out a scream for help, Gilda planted a deep and very...forceful kiss on her lips. She didn't moan; or use her tongue, if anything it was more a "kiss" that said "You're my bitch now sister," the way an inmate in prison would give another. "Holy shit Beau! What that butch bitch do to you?" Smoker asked as the other too tried to untie the Teflon from her waist.
"Oh we had a discussion on the stereotypes of deep and close girl friendships, being labeled romantic relationships by social stigma and double standards...WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK SHE DID TO ME YOU COUPLE OF CUM SUCKERS!?" she said leaving out the whole...kiss thing. "Now get me down from here!" The girls tried to loosen it but the damn wire was tied in a solid knot that they'd have to cut, just what Gilda needed. She lowered silently down again from the fire escape and sneaked up behind the two of then and grappled with the back of her filthy blouse, Gilda then proceeded to shove her quarry into a trashcan...headfirst.
"Bag her!" Beau said while dangling but with smoker the only one left, Gilda drew not her bokken but Smoker's own knife before wrapping her free hand around her neck.

"I know..that's what I said." She said taking the knife and slicing the blouse open to expose her tan bra; she placed the cold steel blade to her left bosom, just as the skin was pierced, A loud voice shrieked from the darkness.
"Gilds no! Don't do it! She's payed the price!" It was Rainbow dash! Gilda looked from the captive to Rainbow; She sat on the handle bars of a bike with Peter on the seat. He got off the bike with Dash and walked up to her.
"Gilda; if you maim that girl, even with just a marking scar into her skin will only make you no different than her. If you want to change they way people see you and prove to us that you're a changed girl, then you need to have an event horizon of good and evil, right and wrong. and know the limits of that horizon to show people you've changed. and that starts with not stooping to their level." He said to her. "Please, do what you know is right and leave her....for us" Gilda looked from them to Smoker back and forth, She raised the knife up used it to cut her pigtails off leaving two ugly bald spots on her head.
"They'll grow back, but enjoy being a laughing stock until they do...patchy head." She said as the girl broke down in tears and ran away down the dark alley, Gilda turned to the two who gave her a look of mixed emotions to what she did, "What? she deserved it and its not as bad as being cut up. " She said tucking the knife in her pouch, and zipping it up. "I keep my enemies weapons as trophies," she said ex-positing while she picked up the buck knife and box cutter, but I don't use any hardware that's not a bludgeon or my own much." She said fishing a few twenties from her pocket. "I'll get us a van to drive us all home."
"What about her?" Rainbow asked pointing to the still suspended Beau.
"The Teflon is coated with a slow acting agent that makes it weaker as it's stretched, it'll break in an hour, okay I''ll make sure she has a soft landing." Gilda said before they could point it out, moving a dumpster under her. "Now can we go? I'm tired, so damn tired."
"Let's go back to my place Gil, We'll play some Mario Kart; order a few pizzas, and watch some movies okay?" She said gently tapping her bag and hugging her as the strong tough girl began to softly cry.
"Thanks Dash, I'm glad you're still my friend."
"Can...I be you're friend too Gilda?" He asked pulling his phone from his pocket. Gilda smiled and pulled something from a pocket, it was the deck of 1987 Garbage Pail Kids cards with the "lucky seven" deck and showed him it.
"Yes Pete, you are a friend in my book from cover to to back and with a spot just next to Dash." The three of them held their hands together and waited by the curb for the ride home, a long night ahead planned.

The Clouds-Dale Apartments
Gilda Griffin and Rainbow Dash had gone back to the apartments; it was Sunday night, maybe not the ideal one to be up late going head to head in a few rounds of Left 4 Dead 2, but that's just how they are. Rainbow said blushing a bit as the round ended allowing the gamer girls to take a breather. Gilda got up and ejected the L4D2 disc from the console before stretching her arms up over her head.
"I just want to know, I mean its not because...our relationship is one I take into consideration lightly." She said rubbing behind her head sightly embarrassed, "but also because..well I think..Maybe I kinda sorta.." Hey south park strapped a ten year old to a chair and practically OD'ed him on Jameson Irish Whiskey, so what shame is left in saying the C.H.S alumni cheating the system to get booze? This was one of the thoughts that ran through Peter's head as the cashier rang him up. One phone call to Berry was all that it would take for a lite bottle of Chardonnay to go with that chicken Alfredo...and maybe..more.
Back at the flat.

The stalls let a collective groan before the water shut off and the males inside all toweled off. They then got changed and proceeded along they way they had been directed to, by the student guards whacking the line of others with batons as they made there way to the auditorium.
Peter took his seat in the auditorium; he looked up to see Principal Celestia at the podium, two banners with Starlight Glimmer's equal sign on them behind her, she began to address the student body.
"Good morning my students, I hope you all had a lovely weekend and are ready to get back to your studies here at Canterlot High." It was the way she talked that was the most off putting. It wasn't her usual sunny side self. Principal Celestia spoke in a droning and unnatural monotone as if she was tired and hadn't slept in days. She went on and on about the superiority of the school being under the new control of Starlight Glimmer and her forces of student security; how the new policies which allowed everything from corporal punishment to the suspension of prior privileges all the roots in the works of one man, professor Hugo Freud.
She went on about how Professor Freud's work was published by the Yale School of medicine, where he was educated and later hired by, on and on her assembly went, and not a single word was believed or liked much by any of the students there, not even the nerd clique. What they didn't see was behind the still lowered curtains was the girl herself, Starlight. "Then why is this happening to use here? How did he get Principal Celestia to agree to this AND the money to do it?" Peter asked as she continued the slides.
"I'm afraid...that's where starlight comes in...I should know because until I realized how...unethical and wrong these actions are, I was her closest confidant." Twilight said in almost total shame at her words. "You see here's why Starlight and Freud are able to be doing this...well one way at least."

"NO WAY!" Gilda snapped as Twilight told them all about the professor being her father; how her status as a student allowed her father to act his plan on Canterlot High, and even how he used her and Starlight's magic to forge documents that would make it seem like everything he did was legal.
"The papers we made are total forges, but there's one thing that he forgot to do when he tried to get the official papers, professor Freud forgot to destroy the letters of rejection and his court documents from his disbarment hearings. Even though he barley escaped being disbarred, the official decision was a ban on practicing psychology on living human subjects...its like someone being allowed to study medicine and make documented research but is not allowed to conduct any of it on a living person or be a practitioner in general."
"And yet the quack is using us for guinea pigs right under the Ivy league suits stiff upper noses, right?" Gilda Said casully flicking a switchblade out and tucking it back into the handle.
"Thought you didn't like using hardware that's got an edge?" Rainbow asked her.

"As I was saying; the papers exist in his home office of Freud manor, several documents that if delivered to the board of Yale, it'd be enough to have him put away for the rest of his life, and Starlight inherits the Freud estate and fortune...maybe then a healing process to get her see that more can be done when..no I mean friendship matters more than the ego of the...no wait that's not it either."
"I think that's total bullshit!" Gilda yelled tossing a throwing knife square at the head of the picture of Frued on a cork board. "When has holding hands and singing songs of friendship ever worked for anything? I don't know what candy land saccharine world you live in egghead, but I've seen the real world and it isn't pretty. It bites you bite back hard, even if it means sacrificing everything that makes you human." She said retrieving her blade and tucking it into a pouch she had under the skirt they issued her.
"Gilda...Remember what I told you?" Peter said placing a hand in hers and looking into her big expressive yellow eyes. "We go in gung-ho intent on seriously hurting him, and we're no better if not worse than Freud himself. We sneak through; rifle through his desk for some papers, and have the evidence to see him rot, and sure we broke some laws in the process but no one gets hurt...well maybe a little hurt but no one we know or anything that ill land us in the clink for life like disemboweling him and cutting an ear to ear to ear smile on his face."
The way he said that last bit with an almost nonchalant and even cheeriness to it made everyone present (even Gilda) look at him with cringes of confusion and mild disgust.

He said giving an Alfred E. Neumen face and shrug. They where a bit confused but they understood.
"Anyway...This won't be easy, Freud has developed an extensively complex and intricate home defense system, some of it is hyper lethal stuff that can get you killed...so if anyone has any second thoughts I'll understand if you don't want to go with this I can try to talk to Starlight into getting the..."
"I'm going in." Peter said taking one look at the picture of the manor, it felt so...cold and unfeeling. It's almost like the house spoke volumes about the one who owned it, and the exterior showed that this was no place for a girl like Starlight...maybe that's what drove him to take on the task Twilight was offering.
"My associates and I have some...equipment prepared for our to aid in this endevour, if you'll follow me I'll show you what we cooked up in the workshop."
"So...This is like my costume?" Peter said picking up the black tactical costume and holding it in his hands. "Cause this looks more like a Leon Kennedy cos-player babe." "Twilight; I'm a little rusty on the whole good bad thing, when you say, bad. What do you mean like how bad are we talking?" Peter said as Rarity zipped up the black tactical suit.

"No I said this isn't an assassination, and that we're not going to kill anyone on this mission. Now this," She said picking up what looked like a police flashlight. "It conceals a high focus cutting laser, same kind used by M.I.T. engineering majors." Twilight pressed the light button on it while aiming the light at a wood board in a vise. It made a thin red beam shoot out from the fake bulb as she cut the board in half.
"Effective offensive weapon?" Peter asked tucking it into his belt.
"Wouldn't recommend it but....It can sever a human femur all the way through the bone in twenty eight seconds." She said with a strange sense of thrill-meant as she proceeded to pick up a grappling hook attached to a cable. "We couldn't rig even a basic CO2 compressed pistol to fire the rappelling line but the cable is high tensile strength grappling wire, supports up to a ton a single wire strand." She continued picking up a tiny headset. "Standard issue two way radio, hands free to stay in touch with me." Then a mini digital camera. "Standard but nearly unbreakable, and finally a skeleton king with super flexible pins that can undo and fit to trip any number of three or five pin tumbler lock." "Please try and return some of this equipment in pristine condition. It wasn't cheap to make."
"This is it?, a key; a camera, a radio, a laser and some armor?" Peter asked tucking all his equipment into the belt.
"The resources of a high school are highly limited, so you'll have to improvise and provide you're own further supplies." As Twilight said this, the shop door opened; with Gilda in her own jacket and the switchblade, butterfly knife, buck knife, a shaving straight razor, a pair of polished polymer tonfa at her hips. Her bokken topping her gear off.
"I'm going with him." She said tying her domino mask around her eyes. Behind her was Rainbow dash; she had a humanized version of power pony Zapp's costume on with a few tears in the fabric along the sides and midriff, and metal claws pined into a pair of black gloves, and a cattle prod in the belt of her left hip and a black re-loadable gun of high strength mace holstered in her right.
"I second that notion." She said smiling at them all.
"I warn you all...there's a chance the security system of the manor IS designed to kill intruders"
"Damn Castle doctrine and stand your ground laws." Peter said.
"and even though he'd be willing to go that far, with us, no guns and no killing, In and out of the house in twenty and then its straight to the authorities to have Freud arrested, fired, tried and locked up." Twilight finished.
"I'd make a joke about where's the fun in that, but...I understand you entirely Ms. Twilight." Gilda said reaching out and shaking her hand.

He sat in a red velvet lined chair; his hands gripping the sides of them as the jumbo television in front of him channel hopped, he'd mostly browse the news channels listening to the anchors going on and on about the daily drivel of the suffering in the world followed by brief coverage of celebrity gossip a man his age had no business in. When he tired of listening to the plastic faces of politicians yakking; fighting and arguing over manners that only sickened him, he pressed a buzzer under the little table beside him for service. In time the large brass and oak doors opened with a creak at the far end of his study and across the velvet carpet a hulking beast like shape crossed the threshold. The body was like solid stone carved in the shape of a man, and like stone he moved as stiff and disjointed as if he was solid stone. The Goliath of stature and size finally stopped before the scientist in his comfy chair before him; took a cigar from a wooden box before offering one to the other, and lighting them both with a flick of jumbo silver lighter so big the flame alone cast an eerie light on them both.
"You rang Professor?" The giant asked between smoky breaths of the Italian Toscano cigars.
"Have Kenchio prepare my dinner and have it brought up to me." The other replied before taking a drag of the Kentucky tobacco.
"And...he inhales and blows smoke to the ceiling. What pray tell do you hunger for this evening sir?"
"Maine Lobster would be nice, with a porter...No rib-eye steak, a seaweed salad with salmon, blow-fish and catfish roe, some fugu sashimi, with water chestnuts and bamboo shoots...Oh and I think a bottle of Dom Pérignon 1973 would sit well with that, don't you think?"
"You have such fine tastes sir. I'll have the kitchen get right on it." He gave his boss a respectable bow and swaggered out with his cigar still blowing fumes about the air.
What's for dinner?
"Please?" Starlight Glimmer said with big soft pleading eyes to the chef on duty. it was so unlike the girl her peers knew her as just a few hours ago. She was trying to sweet talk her father's chef into cooking a meal on par with the one he was currently preparing for her father, and serving it to her. She cutely tried everything from big cutesy eyes to her softest tiniest voice. The chef, in his white jacket and long tall hat looked up from the lobster turning red on the hibachi grill.
"Sorry Ms. Glimmer, but ever since hearing, family coffers have been...light. Father said once you earn it, you may eat as you did when he was ivy league man. Now be silent child, fugu blow fish most intricate and volatile dish in my homeland. Need absolute concentration to prepare. " he said taking the imported knife in hand and the green bloating fish from the tank of water. Kenchio had been hired directly from a five star fugu restaurant in Tokyo, and was still in the process of learning English. Being a native son of the land of the rising sun, it explained his very...broken Engrish. Nerveless the chef's skill as he sliced; carved and prepared the highly deadly dish was awe inspiring.
"Daddy's still got lottsa dinero from all his other non medical assets, why in the high hell CAN'T he afford to let me enjoy the finer things the way he does?" She asked the chef once he had the toxic non eatable parts safety sealed in a bag. He turned to her and only shrugged his shoulders. Starlight sighed, placated but unsatisfied and took a blue can of E-Z mac from a shelf, opened it unhappily and filled it with Evian water. Thankful that she could at least have that she watched the microwave cook her pitiful (in comparison) meal as her father's chef put the finishing touches on the surf and turf platter. and placed the vintage champagne on the wheeled cart to bring it all to him.
"Wait!'' She said to him before he could wheel the meal away. "Let me take it too him."
Final Preparations
Peter Placed his hands on the handles to the rear door of the van they all had driven up to the manor in. He was all decked out in his graphine body armor and jacket; his gadgets Twilight had made for him, and the other two "power gals" beside him. Gilda; Rainbow dash, Trixie, John, Twilight and Rarity. They had all gone up here but only the first three of the "Lucky Seven" of them would be going in...hopefully.
The van they drove up in was disguised on the exterior as a shop-rite delivery van; the decals and paints the seven of them touched it up in, where almost indistinguishable from the real thing. Inside; the floor had been touched up with some boards and a proper carpeted floor, Twilight had set up a computer, her end of the radio, a microwave, a hot plate, a mini fridge, and a TV back there as well. The setup was powered by special rechargeable batteries that ran independently of the car battery in the van's engine compartment. Twilight sat at the computer and checked the equipment one last time.
"How are the radios working?" She asked the three of them as the computer showed the feed from a mini camera in Peter's suit, he tapped the headset and said a simple,
''Hi Twilight, work's well on me. I'm on channel 2 if you need me.'' As he said this, Gilda adjusted her own headset as did Rainbow.
"I'm on three and Dash is on five, we're all linked in to you if you need us egghead.'' She said checking to be sure she had all "her gear." "Switchblade;" she said flicking it out and tucking it back in her inner jacket pocket, "Check, one butterfly knife, two fighting tonfas, my numchucks, right where I always keep them, That razor I swiped from my dad's kit, and most importantly, my hand carved Bokken, carved from cebil wood, strong enough to crack a human cranium open without even piercing flesh. Yep all here and accounted for." She said smiling as she got beside Peter ready to head out.
"I kinda wish you hadn't brought those Gilds, especially the deadly ones." Rainbow said as she checked the canisters of mace for her pistol and the battery level in her cattle prod. The cans of mace weren't the cheap weak stuff that was sold in spray canisters that had little cartoonish "bad guys" in domino masks and "Beagle boy" hats getting sprayed by clip art women from the 1950's. No this was the real stuff, grade A animal control mace used by park rangers to stop even berserk wolverines.
"Like you're gear is any less pain inducing, besides you know we Dash, I may not look it but I know where you're NOT supposed to shove a pig-sticker if you DON'T want someone bleeding out on you." She said as the doors opened and they stepped out into the chilly Autumn night.
"Let's just hope you'll remember that when you're in there," Twilight said as she pulled up a scale model of the manor on her desk. "Now please excuse the crudity of this model."
"You didn't have time to build it to scale or paint it...right?" Peter said with a chuckle.
"I was going to say I built from what limited memory of the few times I've actually been inside the manor, but that works too I suppose." Twilight said slightly annoyed. "Now, the office where the papers are being kept...is on the third floor at the very rear of the manor, there are no cameras, motion trackers or none of that stuff on the premises...do you wanna know what Freud has installed in lieu of that?" Twilight held up a tiny object from a desk drawer; the object looked like a pair of helicopter blades, they sprung open with a a sharp metal chink! and rotated like helicopter blades in her hand. "Scale model, the real ones he keeps hidden under the floorboards and inside the walls? They're several times bigger and I'm sure you can only imagine what they can do it you." She said shutting the blades off.
"We going after a university professor or frigging Jigsaw Twi?" Rainbow Dash said gulping hard.
"If you wanna back out...I won't blame any of you...last chance." Was all she said.
"No." Dash replied.
"Never" Gilda added.
"There's one more thing." Twilight said taking a file from another drawer, "Freud has hired a bodyguard. his name's Frank "Lock-jaws" Bishop." She said flipping the file open to a photo and an old army record of a man built like a tank. The descriptions in his army dossier described him as discharged green beret with all sorts of training. "Discharged because when he became a drill sergeant he torn a recruit's arms out his sockets...claimed it was an accident and he didn't know his own strength"
"Why do they call him "Lock-jaws?" Peter asked reading the file.
"Because he lost his lower jawbone to lockjaw, but had it replaced with a titanium replacement...and razor sharp metal teeth." Twilight said her blood freezing at the thought of a man like that working for a man like Freud.
Freud's study.
The Door to his study flew open hard as she wheeled the cart with his diner across the long red rug over his cherry hardwood floor. He tilted his head up to see who had brought his meal, he wasn't expecting it to be. "Starlight? I didn't say I wanted you to bring me my food...You know you're forbidden from entering my study." He said lowering his glasses at her.
"I was only bringing you you're dinner, daddy." She said wheeling the cart over to him and lifting the silver covers to the steaming hot plates of food. "And I just wanted to tell you how the first day went, the researchers are already compiling notes on the decline of infractions against authority you're protocol has lead too." She said in a tone that said 'I want you to say I've been a good girl and done well, and want you too say you love me as a daughter.' Freud Picked up a silver fork and took a scalpel from his lab coat, the precision cutting stainless steel sliced a sliver of steak for him to savor.
"I suppose I can forgive you for coming in here if that is why you have...You're a good girl starlight." he said gently patting his daughter's head making her purr like a kitten as it felt like she was finally getting the one thing from the man she knew as her father that she wanted the most. "Here take this bit of my steak as a reward." He said as he placed a bit of the steak in Star's blue cup of macaroni and cheese. She looked into the cup and said with a slight unhappiness.
"Thank you father.'' She took her cup of steak and E-Z mac as her father began cracking the grilled lobster shell and dipping the succulent meat into lemon butter sauce.
Break in
He took the flashlight laser in his hand and aimed the beam over the metal bars of the window. The focused laser beam sizzled and steamed as the he cut the main four bars holding them in place. Peter could hardly believe what he was doing, he and his girlfriends where seriously breaking into the house of a schizophrenic Yale Professor to steal his court papers. Why? because he had no right to do what he did to him and his fellow students? Then why didn't they just go to the adults and tell them what happened?...because there comes a time in our lives when we can't go the grown ups to help us, either they can't; they don't know how, or they won't believe what you try and tell them what your problem is. What adults would believe that a word of this story especially when it came from someone younger than them? That's why they where doing this.
"Come on Peter, you can do this, channel V from V for Vendetta." He said as he pulled them away and opened the window up.
"Just so long as it's not that crappy version by the makers of Jupiter ascending." Gilda retorted with a snicker.
"Hey I like the The Wachowski brothers!" Dash said slightly angered at Gilda's remark.
"It's siblings now Dash...long story." Peter said as he lowered himself through the window. He looked around finding himself in the kitchen; it was as big as one meant to service a restaurant or hotel, complete with all the fancy gadgets and implements one could ask for. "Girls, It's clear." He said as Gilda then Rainbow slipped through the window and into the room with him. The three of them looked around, eyes adjusting to the dim lights of their surroundings.
"Pretty fancy digs...check out the fish." Gilda said putting her hands in a tank of live green swimming fish.
"Gilda no!" Those are Japanese Puffer fish! Their toxin is a highly potent paralysis poison! Peter screamed prompting Gilda to draw her hand from the water. As soon as he calmed himself down, Peter tapped the mic on his head set and sent a call out. "Twilight, we're in but the place seems deserted, I know this may sound cliche, but it feels like...we're walking into a trap."
"Let me just check," She said over the radio as back in the van Twilight connected to the manor's security system, as an outsider she couldn't disable it from the van (yet) but could let them know if something had gone off and was actively looking for them. "The threat levels are at zero, I think you're just being the paranoid one Peter...not that I don't understand your concern."
"Hmmph. Yeah I guess. I guess there are are more important things than paranoia right now."
"Right there with you on that, I'll watch the systems to make sure nothing sneaks up on you guys."
"Gotcha..oh and any idea why Professor Freud keeps deadly blow-fish in his kitchen?" There was a pause as on her end of the line, Twilight was at a loss for words.
"Don't say I didn't warn you he's a dangerous man." And she clicked the radio on her end out.
"Alright, lets move out."
Second thoughts
"She buried her face in her velvet violet pillow and sobbed softly; her bedroom a monument to everything she is." From the photo of Supreme court chief justice John G. Roberts, Jr. to the one that arguably could have been the forerunner to her own stance on bringing conservative thoughts and policies to education, a Framed photo of Oral Roberts. She tried to show something of a personality beyond a control freak, by putting up pictures of kittens; and a few of old epic films like Ben-Hur, but it in many ways...just wasn't her. She looked the late Oral Roberts dead in the eyes of the ancient black and white photo taken of him, She looked around at the dull white walls and tacky decor.
"This isn't who I am." She said to herself..."But..just who am i am a person? Am I just an extension of the man I call my father? AM I?!" She said tearing the photos off the walls before crushing them under her black shoes, not concerned over the glass cutting through the soles to her feet. She picked up a pink Barbie dollhouse (the cheapest one you can get off the shelf at the store) and proceeded to chuck it out her own bedroom window, she watched it tumble down crashing into the sides of the house before shattered in a heap of plastic on the cement walkway. "DO YOU LOVE ME NOW!?" She screamed out her window.
Dark Passage
They opted to tread softly down the red carpet of the dim and darkly lit hallway; to their left and right, ancient suits of armor stood silently on little pedestals, the walls where charcoal and slate black, it was not comforting in the slightest to be traversing the hallway. Peter gave his radio a little tap to make a call, "Twilight?" He said as the girl in the van clicjed her radio handset to awnser.
"How you holding up Pete?" She said back softly.
"Fine i guess, Twilight I gotta ask; in the time you knew her...what would you say Starlight's relationship with her dad was like?"
Regrets
"I've made a horrible mistake." Starlight said looking around her room, her posters and pictures had all been torn to shreds; some old barbies from her little girl hood days had been ripped apart at the clicky ball joints, and her grey dresses and shorts had been thrown around all over her. "Not just ripping my room up like this but..." She couldn't finish she could only bury her face in her hands, and cry.
Traps
"I always saw them both as being in a mostly normal father daughter bond, but I could never see past the smoke and mirrors. Starlight wants nothing more than her father's approval and by definition his love. Even if it meant she'd lose all her chances of making friends by cutting herself off from being social and instead becoming a splitting image of his own control freak nature. I guess being so busy with school given strict a school Crystal Prep...was back before the games, I never had the time to be the friend she needed to be shown she doesn't need the love of mad scientist to fell like someone wanted to love her...I'm sorry." Twilight said on her end her eyes swelling with tears.
"Don't be Twilight it wasn't you're..." But he was cut short when two pairs of hands grabbed the back of his jacket and pulled him back, he was about to ask them what they where doing when a large metal halberd ax from one of the suits of armor came crashing down where he'd just been standing. There where more sounds of clunky suits of armor as they came to life. The arms raising swords; halberds and battleaxes and slashing at the air all along the hallway. It was dangerous to press on, but because armor suits where behind them it was no better turning back. "Thanks girls, I owe you one." Peter said before placing a call to Twilight.
"Twilight; it's Peter, the suits of armor just came to life and they're trying to cleave us in two!" He said before drawing his flashlight laser and aiming it at one of the mechanized arms, he used it to sever the metal and render the suit useless, it'd work to disable a few of them, but he had no idea how much battery life the laser had.
"Let me just check..." Twilight said before adjusting her glasses and checking the monitor of her computer to see what was up, "You guys didn't trip security, someone else did." In spite of what Twilight had said she didn't intend to imply there weren't any means of tracking intrusions, just no cameras or modern systems, just good old fashioned radars and silent alarms, these where some setups in Freud's network to track intruders, though not their visual movement, in the event of a break in. Clicking an icon for the manor's "intruder detected" status, it brought up two unauthorized persons inside, both of which she quickly marked as blips on her radar of the place she had in the van.
"Could be burglars...though I wonder who'd be dumb enough...aside us of course, to break into Freud manor. It's well know the guy knows we're a castle doctrine, stand your ground state, and how far he'll use and abuse that privilege."
No Guts, no glory
He turned to the fire in his fireplace as the red light indicating the manor defense system had been tripped, a smile came to his lips. "Looks like the monotony of the evening has been broken." He didn't bother with cameras, and wired in security systems, because they where in his eyes, symbols of the nanny state society too dependent on others for help. He was a man that longed for the days of prisons that starved and broke the wills of its inmates; not ones that molly coddled them into being better criminals. Of days of strong men and loyal wives taming the frontiers and self making themselves in the world. where home arsenals could start small wars and big game hunters traveled the world. To him, the world he wanted was replaced by one where everything had to be safe and pitifully watered down from what it had been in the ages of ambition and gumption.
Uninvited.
Trixie Lulamoon adjusted the black domino mask she tied around her eyes, it was going to take some getting used too. She had her sturdiest most reliable boots on; her skirt traded in for tight skinny jeans and a jean jacket. The blue denim matching her light blue short cape and witches hat, the cape rustled softly around as she looked around the room she had sneaked into. It was the master bedroom; she took note of the fact that everything from the bed itself to the dressers and furniture had all been beefed up, the dresser drawers where roughly the size of coffins, the bed alone could have able to fit at least five people comfortably. "Heh, Trixie wonders if the good Dr. is secretly compensating for something, Rarity it's clear come in." she said to the window as a face in a Purple mask looked in the window at her.
"Are you quite sure this was a good idea Trixie dear? It's quite dangerous to be undertaking something like this." Rarity said as she joined her friend inside.
"Let's just say some things that happened recently made me really think about things, surely you can say the same?" She said waving her hands and making a few auras of magic appear. Trixie used these auras to blanket the two girls and then vanish, completely invisible. It was a good thing she did that too.
"Alright, who's in here?" A harsh growling voice said as the bedroom, making the two girls freeze almost forgetting the active cameo spell that had been cast on them. The large hulking man they had read about in the van entered the room. He looked them dead in the eyes, had they been visible they'd be dead right then and there. Lockjaws held a twelve gauge shotgun barrel at them both, he looked around the room his finger itching to pump someone's guts full of buckshot, even if they happened to be a couple of teenage girls.
He thought he had us.
"Come on Pete, it's not that hard." Gilda said from down the hall she had traversed with finesse and a gymnastic dexterity past the killer suits of armor. Gilda and Dash being star athletes had crossed the swinging and spinning blades of the broadswords, axes and other medieval weapons of the armor by ducking; diving and a few quite literally split hairs later, they where coaxing him to do the same from across the hall. Which for Peter probably wouldn't work out as well...mostly because.
"Gals...I'm not exactly a world class track meet star...hell the A.I constantly won when i DID play world class track meet on the NES." He said as a broadsword swung down in front of him. Peter reached into a pouch and took out the grapple and line Twilight had given him, as he did so. The floor gave away under him!
The girls held back screams as they watched him disappear through the hole. He felt the rush of air and his organs shifting as he took the plunge, It was the day he saved the Cakes boy all over again, training he never knew he had kicking in as reflexes made him clip the cable to his belt and toss the hook hoping to whatever deities there where to save him in having the hook catch something. It just barley managed to snag the edge of the hole he fell through and again the training he never thought he had kicked in in again, this time giving him the strength to place foot over foot to climb the walls back up.
The suits of armor stopped their swings and settled back into their pedestals. Allowing them both a chance to cross the hall to him, they looked down into the hole and saw him climbing back up, looking down it past him they could see that had he not pulled the hook shot off, he'd have landed on a crash pad designed to capture him alive, for what none of them wanted to wonder why.
"Peter; Thank heavens," Rainbow said taking his hand and helping him climb over the top back up to them. "A second sooner, and you would have been a caged rat." She said brushing his jacket off.
"Thanks for that...hey look the traps!" the manor had gone silent.
"He thinks you're in the trap..." Gilda said looking down to see a cage top lock over the crash pad thus indicating the trap did indeed drop down into one. "Professor Strange here thinks he's got us, he's dead wrong." She said smirking smugly.
Sneaking around.
"I'll find whoever is around here and when I do, I will make you know the true meaning of pain." Lockjaws said as he pointed the barrel of his shot gun under the bed as the two girls in the room, made their way right past him under his nose. Unfortunately the spell didn't muffle their footsteps, making Lockjaws turn his head to the noise and follow it. "You're only making it worse, I was going to blow you're heads clean off but now you're making me consider using...these!" He said sneering and showing a mouthful of ugly teeth. His teeth where like the jagged snapping jaws of amazonian piranha, small looking in such a large man's mouth, but the way they where snagged and sharpened to wicked ends, and looked like they could tear someone to pieces with ease, it made the already frightening giant look even deadlier than normal. With his teeth showing his voice seemed slightly altered to match it, the teeth seemed to make his words sound more feral and like he was snarling between every word as he spoke.
"Chew you're ears off first, then maybe nibble my way to your liver before I bite into your armpit like in the novel IT." He said as the girls made an effort to get as far away from him as possible. "There you are!" He said before charging and slipping his gun into a shoulder rig and taking off in a rampaging charge. At first Trixie and Rarity thought their spell had worn off, but he ran right past them both. Rarity turned to what she presumed was where the break in the active cameo gave way to where Trixie was and said. "Peter."
Against the giants.
"chomp chomp kids!" He shouted as he bared his deadly maw and charged the hallway, the three young adults looked as they opened the door to Freud's study only to feel like a truck ran into them and sent them flying through the door into the room. When the stars cleared from their heads they found themselves looking into the faces of the man from Twilight's little show, and the one she warned them about before they came in here. "Well; well, well, what is this?" The mad Dr. said as he sipped his glass of vintage. "It seems the would be thieves are a couple of teenage punks I so loathe dealing with. Mr. Lockjaws, where are you're manners?" He asked his lackey sarcasm dripping like venom from his lips. He strode over to Gilda first; his eyes looking over her features and head as he reached out and held it. He felt and tapped her skull and took in every detail of her head and face.
"Tsk Tsk Tsk, You have all the makings of a flawed female Ms. Griffin. Your face is misshapen and lacks the soft outlines a normal woman is born with, and these lobes, Shameful. They are definitive shapes that indicate aggression, an ego complexity, and possibly even an insatiable lesbian sex drive...strange given how you accompanied a male, so perhaps you're not a total lost cause, no Misandry to the point where you cannot be repaired. Diagnosis? Misandry, aggression, and unstable female hysteria. I recommend electroshock therapy..followed by a follow up lobotomy if it fails to cure you." He said smiling and releasing her head.
"You should know Dr. that Physiognomy was debunked in the 20's...as was the idea of alternative sexuality being a mental illness in the 70's." Peter said getting to his feet. "But in all honestly I can testify and say Gilda's not as depraved as you think she is." He said smiling as he stared him down. Trying to play it cool as the others got up with him.
"I see you all shook of Mr. Lockjaws' attack quickly, either he held back or you show a symptom of psychopathy, an inability to feel physical pain." He said as his lackey Lockjaws approached them all.
"Frued, YOU'RE a psychopath." Gilda said drawing her bokken from he sheath. as Dash drew her mace pistol. Gilda swiped at LockJaws' jaw, as Dash Pulled the trigger of her pistol sending a mist of brown spray at them both. Frued tuned his head and ran away just barley able to avoid getting a blast of the mist. Lockjaws however only sneered as the mist sprayed him dead center, and the wooden tip of Gilda's sword snappped off!
"My...My sword!..He...broke my sword!" Gilda said looking at the snapped blade. Rainbow continued to spray the brown liquid, he only stood there smiling. Albeit with his eyes turning red and his puffing a bit.
"Foolish girl, I was forced to crawl through pig's blood and entrails in boot camp; I had to be tear gassed and maced until it left me blind for days, your water squirter can't hurt me! and you, That stick against my titanium mandible?" As he said this he grabbed the side of his cheek and dug into the flesh hard with his fingers. He bled only a little bit as he tore into the rubbery molded skin graft, then ripped the skin of his chin and cheeks clean off! exposing the metal lower jaw that even the under side where there is only soft tissue was solid metal! He opened his maw wide and clamped it down causing the room to echo with a metallic clunking and crunching sound.
"Okay tin grin, you wanna play?" Peter said as he began to wind up a punch and aimed right for his diaphragm, 'he may not have a glass jaw, but no man can take getting winded.' He struck him only to have his hand grabbed and squeezed painfully hard! The hulking Giant then grabbed him slightly less hard by the neck and lifted him up. He smiled as he looked him in the eyes, fear locking with triumph. "Girlssss...help meee." He said feebly as he felt his hand bones about to crack and his breath leaving him. Rainbow did just that, her pistol had no effect but maybe having a metal jaw wasn't a good thing.
She extended the cattle prod and shoved the prongs out, jamming them into the metal jaw of the giant, and held the button to shock down with no intent on letting go. Titanium may not conduct electricity well, but 10,000 volts of the stuff surging through a metal connection to the brain, which is full of neurological electric pulses? she didn't need much to send jolts through the giant man's skull. He instantly dropped the teenager in his grip and convulsed at the pain buzzing in his head. In her desperation, Rainbow had forgotten the warning about Peter's graphine armor. He too had received a quick shock of the prod through his armor, thankfully it was only like taking...a 10,000 volt joy buzzer.
Lockjaws was down for the count, his body spasming and twitching as he lay comatose on the floor, just barley alive from having taking that kind of jolt directly to his brain. Peter got to his feet and coughed hard for breath, he finally regained his compsure enough to speak. "alright Frued...all we want are the court papers, you hand those over, and we walk away, or we can take them from you the hard way." He said as Gilda handed Rainbow her switchblade and butterfly knife, before handing him her batons, she herself for drew a pair of wickedly sharp double pronged sai.
"You young people, playing with deadly weapons, for shame." Was all he said as he began undoing his lab coat.
"Give it up old man, your lap dog is toast, and you'll be next if you don't give us what we came here for." Gilda said as she rubbed the sais together. "And F.Y.I. I'm a master of these things.'' She said smirking at him.
"You underestimate me, like the children you all deep down really still are." as he said this, he threw his coat off.
