Chapters Applejack, Rainbow dash, Rarity, Pinkie pie, Fluttershy and Sunset shimmer were running down the hallway! They were being chased by a madman with a knife, he wanted complete and total domination! He was going to take over everything, even if it meant killing who ever was in there way. The girls found themselves trapped in a dead end hallway, the man slowly approached them with a sickening grin plastered on his face. The girls noticed someone who just came into view at the end of the hallway. It was a new kid who had only been there a few months. The guy had long, brown hair. He was wearing all leather and he had tan skin with blue eyes. The guy looked down the hallway and then heaved over as if he was in pain, his screams of pain echoed through the hallway. The man shifted his attention to the boy and ran at him. He didn't move until the man came very close, the boy then kicked the knife out of the mans hand. The man just started beating in the poor boy, who was strangely enough, laughing as he was getting punched repeatedly in the gut. A sudden flash of light came from him, blinding everyone. When they could see again, they saw the same clothes, but a different person... or thing... all together. The body was nothing but skeleton, each bone was a charcoal black color. The thing in question had orange flames flowing off of its skeletal structure, and the leather he wore now looked like it was rough textured.
He grabbed the man by the throat and lifted him up with one arm. The thing had its eyes locked with his the whole time. The girls looked on in terror. The madman pulled a frag grenade from his pocket, pulled the pin and dropped it to the floor. He shifted its attention to the noise, but it didn't let the madman go. The grenade blew up, incinerating the madman and putting the thing into a crater in the wall. Instead of fire coming off of it, there were now faint and short puffs of black smoke coming off of the skeleton. He held his head as it bobbed a few times then stopped all movement. For the thing, it's world began to swim in black.
He was laying down on Rainbow dash's couch, he was still unconscious even though the sun had come up. But it was an overcast day so it wasn't as bright as it normally is out. he would occasionally clench the fabric of the couch really hard and his eyes would look like they're darting around under his eye lids. It was obvious that he was having nightmares. Sunset noticed he was starting to feel warm so she got a wet rag, and started pressing it to the boy's forehead. The boy continued to tense up but at least he was cooling down. He then suddenly shot up right with a short yell, he was breathing rapidly and his head was covered in sweet. He looked around the room and at everyone in it. He moved his feet off the couch and put them on the floor seemly calm in down. "Where am I?" Is the first thing he spoke to the girls.
"Your safe don't worry, we're at Rainbow dashes house. I'm Sunset and this is Pinkie pie, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy and Rainbow."
Sunset spoke while gesturing to each of the girls as she said their names. "Now what's your name?" Sunset asked the boy.
"Richard Garret, I just go by Rich." The boy said slowly. "Would anyone mind taking me home?" Rich asked.
"Sure, I can drive you. We'll take my truck." Rainbow said, everyone looked at her.
"What? I have a sports car to drive for fun and an SUV for when we take everyone some where. Unfortunately everyone takes the opportunity to drive everyone before I can speak up." Rainbow said.
"That, actually explains why we didn't know you have a truck." Sunset said. She helped Rich to his feet, Rainbow led everyone to her car and they all piled in. Rich got shotgun since it would be uncomfortable to be cramped with five others that you don't know.
"So where do you live?" Rainbow asked.
"111 west Canterlot ave." Rich said. Rainbow put in the address and they drove out of her garage. She looked over at Rich to see his hands slightly shaking and he was turning pale.
"You ok? Your lookin kinda sick." Rainbow said.
"Yeah, I just haven't eaten anything in a while so I'm getting the hunger shakes." Rich said.
"We'll go get you something to eat, I'll take the drive through so we don't have to get out." Rainbow said. She pulled up to the machine and listened to the person on the other side speak. "Yeah hi, can I get a hash brown and a coffee? Thank you." She pulled up to the window and stopped to wait for the order. Rich reached to pull his wallet out of his right back pocket but Rainbow stopped him.
"My treat bud." She said, Rich just nodded and shifted in his seat to get comfortable again. She noticed he mostly kept his gaze looking forward and that he always looked pissed off. It wasn't long before she realized what he was starring at, his own reflection in the windshield. As she looked at him she could help but remember that thing he became last night.
"Hey, Rich, what was that thing you became last night?" Rainbow asked, everyone else went quiet at the question. The air seemed thicker at the Meer mention of last night. Rich turned to look Rainbow in the eyes, he starred for a few seconds before looking back at the reflection of himself.
"It's the spirit of vengeance." Rich said. Rainbow nodded and asked another question.
"Why can you become that thing?" Rainbow said, this time Rich didn't even meet eyes with her.
"I don't become it, it's a curse that waits until nightfall to break out." He said. Rainbow had one more question for Rich.
"How did you become cursed?" Rainbow asked.
"What?" Rich said, he locked eyes with rainbow.
"You said it was a curse, so that means you had to become cursed some how. So how?" Rich sighed and began telling the story.
"Me and my friend were bully victims, my friend couldn't take it anymore so he killed himself with his dad's gun. He left me all alone with those punks, I was going to hang myself a few weeks after but a man approached me with a deal. He said there was a way to make them pay for all the suffering they caused me and my friend. All I needed to do, was sign the contract in blood and give my soul. So I smashed a glass bottle with my hand and splattered the blood on the line. Little did I know, the spirit of vengeance was the means of making them pay. So every night I'm forced to try and keep it inside me, and pray that it doesn't hurt anyone else. And killing yourself won't work once you've made the deal." Rich said, everyone was looking at him in shock.
The order window opened and rainbow looked at the lady. Rainbow handed her the money and she took her order. She parked the car so she could drink her coffee and Rich could eat.
"The coffee is mine but you can take a sip if you want, the hash brown is yours by the way." Rich took the hash brown and started eating. Rainbow dash understood now why he looked so angry all the time. That was the face of a person who had his whole world forsaken him, and leave him a shell of who he once was. Where ever he went, his past would always haunt him. Rainbow dash accidentally let four words slip out in a whisper. "Oh you poor thing." Rich obviously heard it and looked at her, he had just finished eating so he had already put the wrapper in the bag it came in.
"I've never had anyone feel bad for me before, most people just say 'serves you right for making a deal with the devil'." He said and looked back at his reflection in the windshield. "But trust me when I say, when you get as low as I did, so low where you don't care if you live or die, you are willing to take any route out. Whether it be murder, or suicide, or a bad deal, you just... Want... Out." He cleared his throat and just continued to look straight ahead. Rainbow dash put a hand on his shoulder and just looked at him. Rich slowly looked over at Rainbow.
"I'm sorry." Rainbow said.
"Don't be. It was my mistake taking the deal, now I'm even lower then I was before." Rich said, he went back to starring straight ahead. Rainbow removed her hand from his shoulder and put the car in reverse, she backed out of the parking spot and drove off. The rest of the ride to his house was silent. Rich thanked Rainbow for driving him and got out. He closed the door and Rainbow rolled down the window.
"What lunch period do you have in school?" She asked.
"Second, why?" Rich asked.
"You should come sit with us sometime." Rich just nodded at Rainbows statement and turned toward his house. As he walked up the path to his front door Rainbow and the group drove off.
Rich walked into the cafeteria, he looked pissed as usual. he saw a table with an open seat right near the door. Perfect for his escape if he blows up again. He as soon as he sat down, everyone at the table got up and moved. Rich let out a sign and rested his head in his right hand.
"I guess they all saw what happened." Rich said to himself.
"Hey hot head!" Some kid threw a paper ball at rich. Rich caught the paper ball and it burst into flames in his hand. Within seconds the ball had completely burned up. Rich slowly poured the ashes out of his hand and into a small pile on the floor. The six girls watched rich, they felt bad for him. He looked miserable and pissed off at the same time, if that makes sense.
"Poor fella, he seems so lonely." Applejack said.
"Yeah, I mean look at how everyone walked away from him. Even though he probably saved quiet a lot of people that night." Sunset said. Rainbow didn't show it, but she felt the worst out of all of them. She hated seeing Rich that way, Alone, miserable, angry, abandoned. She stood up and walked over to Richards table. She sat directly across from him. Rich looked up from the table, his head still leaning against his right hand. He cocked an eyebrow at her.
"Well why aren't you running away like everyone else?" Rich said.
"Because I can't stand to see you like this. Not after what you told me." Rainbow said. Another guy walked up next to Rainbow.
"Hey, why are you hanging out with the freak? Come sit with us, this guy doesn't deserve your attention." He said. Richards left eye socket slowly became a black pit. A very angry looking pit at that. Rich was going to say something but he didn't when he noticed Rainbows knuckles on her right hand where white. It was very apparent that she was squeezing her fork with every once of strength. Rich lifted his head off his hand.
"Your wrong." Rainbow said quietly. She sounded pissed.
"Sorry what was that?" The other guy said.
"Your wrong!" Rainbow yelled. Richards eye went back to normal and he looked at Rainbow with a shocked look, well, as shocked as you can get while still looking pissed. "This poor guy sold his soul to the devil! He was going to kill himself because of people like you! But instead he was offered justice! He turned into this monster and it took its revenge out on them! he's not a freak just Because he can't control this curse!" It went quiet in the cafeteria, Everyone looked at her in shock. Rich quickly stood up and walked out the cafeteria doors. Rainbow followed after him.
"Hey! Wait! Rich I'm sorry, I didn't mean to tell them about your life. Hey look at me!" Rainbow turned Rich around so she could talk with him. "I'm sorry ok, I get a little quick tempered sometimes and then things just come out." Rich saw a group of seven guys come out of the cafeteria. They were approaching fast.
"You might want to leave. Now." He said quietly. Rainbow turned to see them coming their way. See went to confront them but rich grabbed her by the wrist. She looked at him, Rich slightly shook his head at her. He pulled her by the wrist and kept her behind him. The guy from the lunch table incident approached first, he punched Rich in the stomach and pinned him against the lockers. Rainbow lunged at him but she was held back by one of the other six guys.
"What's your problem man?!" The guy said. Rich just sat there, not doing anything. He looked over to see Rainbow hit one of the guys in the face. Richards eyes widened, this couldn't end well. The guy threw her to the ground. Rich felt something click at that moment. His pupils turned a fiery orange color that contrasted with his blue eye color. Rich began to scream in pain as white smoke emanated off his skin. The guy pinning him let go of his jacket and took a few steps backward. As Parts of him burst into flames, the white smoke would be replaced by thick black smoke. With a sudden flash of light, everyone was blinded. When the leader opened his eyes the first thing he saw was two black, angry looking eye sockets. When the leader saw the fire and blackened bones he gasped. The leader stumbled back against the wall behind him. The thing starred intently at the leader. It spoke, it had a rough voice that didn't sound anything like Richards voice.
"Desiple of the cross and champion in suffering. Immerse your self into the kingdom of redemption. Pardon your mind through the chains of the Devine. Make way the Shepard of fire." The thing said. That's when Rainbow noticed that it was holding one black chain in each hand. Each chain had a large hook on the end of it. The thing gave the chain in its right hand some slack, it piled on the floor beside him. He swung his right arm around and the chain followed suit. In one quick swing, the leader was nothing but ashes.
"Dude, book it!" One of the other guys said. They all started running. The thing turned and started walking slowly. That's when it spoke again.
"There is no escape, only eternal suffering for your crimes!" It said. It stopped right next to Rainbow dash, she was still on the floor. It quickly snapped its head around to look at her. It just starred at her for a few seconds. It slowly bent down and scooped her up in its arms. It carried her back into the caffeteria. When it made it to her friends, it set her back down on her feet. It turned to walk off as the girls checked Rainbow. It took two steps before-
"Hey!" Rainbow dash said. The thing slowly turned to face her. Rainbow dash approached the terrifying entity, she stopped less then a foot away from it. Rainbow dash slowly reached her right hand out to touch the thing. Her hand rested opon its bony cheek, she genially stroked the bone with her thumb. It had a rough texture to it. Her heart was racing, and it started racing even faster when the thing grabbed her right hand. It didn't bother removing her hand from its cheek, it just held her hand. It let go of her hand and took two steps backward. The thing turned on its heels and walked towards the door. It left the room and the cafeteria went quiet. Nothing happened for ten minutes. The men who came back in, they were carrying assault riffles.
"Alright everyone! get down under the tables or you will be shot!" They screamed. They saw an orange glow coming from the hallway.
"It's coming back!" One of the men exclaimed.
"Take aim and shoot on sight!" The other said. The spirit of vengeance kicked the door open, he was carrying two chainsaws. The chainsaws started up and burst into flames. The spirit saw its first target, a man hiding behind a pillar. The spirit wrapped its arms around the pillar and brought the moving saw blades to the mans chest. The chainsaw quickly started tearing off chunks of fleash, the sounds of bones snapping became audible. The man turned into ashes when the saw blades cut halfway through his body. The spirit ran at his next victim. The man tried running, but the thing was too close by then. It pushed the moving saw blade into his back parallel to his spine. There was a loud pop and the saw blade came out of the mans chest.
The thing dropped the corps to the floor where he slowly disintegrated. The thing dropped the chain saws and reached into its jacket pockets. It pulled out the chains again, they were glowing a hot red. The thing uncoiled its chains and looked around the room. The only two gunmen remaining opened fire once again, the bullets didn't do anything to the spirit. The spirit swung its right arm around and the chain followed. The hook on the end of the chain had pierced the mans throat. The thing yanked his right arm back, it laughed as a chunk of the mans throat came out. The man was holding his hands over the hole in his throat. The spirit ran up to him and grabbed him by the head. It held him still as it forced him to gaze into its eyes. The man didn't scream, but his face twisted in agony. The man turned into ashes and the thing looked at its next victim.
The final gunman pulled out a grenade launcher and took aim. The spirit swung the chain in its left hand, the hook wrapped around one of the mans ribs. In his fit of pain, the man pulled the trigger on the grenade launcher. The grenade hit the spirit, sending him flying into a near by wall. The spirit how ever, had not let go of the chain. The gun mans rib cage was yanked open and he collapsed. The man slowly turned into ashes. The thing was laying on the floor, there was no fire or smoke emanating off of it. The thing slowly transformed back into Richard. It seemed painful because the skin appeared to be regrowing.
Richard was laying unconscious on the ground. He opened his eyes and groaned. He rolled on to his side where he curled up into a ball for a moment. He rotated himself into a position where he could stand up. He slowly stood up and rolled his head around. His neck cracked a few times, everyone seemed to quietly wince at the audible cracking sound.

Rainbow dash walked up to the front door, the number on it said 111. She knew this was the right address, Richards adress. She had made it a habit to try and frequently check up on Richard, she's hoping that this will help Richard feel less alone. Occasionally when she knocked on the door, no one would answer. This was one such occasion, she was tired of just walking away when no one came. She put her hand on the door knob and tried twisting it. The handle made a click and the door slowly shifted open, Rainbow impatiently pushed the door. The door opened enough for her to enter, she stepped inside to a dark world. The windows were painted over with black paint, and there was dust and cobwebs everywhere. She walked by a shelf with a picture of two young boys smiling. one was clearly Richard, the other was probably his friend.
She spotted a dusty picture frame, laying face down on a different shelf. Rainbow carefully lifted the picture, a small cloud of dust coming off of it due to its sudden motion. She saw a fully grown women, a fully grown man and one small child. It was a picture of Richard and his family. Rainbow dash put the picture down the way she found it and continued through the museum that is Richards house. As she continued walking, she came to a sign that read 'My Office'. Rainbow dash turned the knob and slowly pushed the door open. There was a dusty laptop and a stack of CD's next to it. She slowly approached the seat and sat down. She pressed the space bar one time and the dust covered screen lit up, the computer was already on the desktop so Rainbow grabbed the Stack of CD's. There were ten CD's in total, each labeled with the words 'evidence disc #' then the corresponding number. Rainbow opened the case labeled 'evidence disc #1'. She popped it in the laptop and a window popped up.

Richard was sitting in the chair that rainbow was currently in, the light in the room was on and the place wasn't covered in dust.
"Hello who ever finds this. I'm recording this so you know about me, although it's unlikely you'll believe any of this is real. Anyway, my name is Richard Garret. I'm currently fifteen and today's date is 7/8/12. I'm the host of a, Spirit of vengeance if you will. This spirit only comes out at night, and it is very dangerous. Now I know you probably don't believe me just because I said it. So I will show you some security feed I've 'acquired'." Richard said. What came up on the window was a high quality set off video footage. She can see the guard sitting in his office looking through each camera. The gaurd stops on one particular camera and sees a figure standing there. The window full screens the camera for a few seconds and Rainbow can see the spirit standing there. The gaurd doesn't notice yet, but the fire coming off of its skull isn't moving. The camera is frozen, the gaurd shifts closer to the screen to see the figure more clearly. There is a figure standing behind him and he doesn't realize it. The thing covers the guards mouth and plunges a knife into his stomach, it's slowly starts to pull the knife upward. It doesn't stop cutting at the rib cage, it continues until the gaurd has a big gash running from his stomach to his chin. The thing releases the gaurd and walks away.
"Now, this gaurd was responsible for the accidental killings of two people. This thing doesn't care if it was an accident or not, and the only way to stop it is to use explosives. Bullets will not hurt it, trying to flatten him between two trucks in a head on collision won't stop it, nothing really can other then explosives. And even those are becoming less and less affective, he's gradually building up an immunity to it. Pretty soon he will be capable Withstanding a nuclear blast without a scratch. I fear how powerful he may become, although if I try to keep him from getting out he will gradually lose this immunity due to the fact that he doesn't need it. Well that's all for this clip, you can watch the others if you actually believe me. Richard out." The window closed as Rainbow removed the disc and put it in the case she found it in.

Rainbow put the stacks of disc's down and left the room. She saw another room with a dim light inside, the door was opened just a crack so Rainbow could see a battery powered lantern. She pushed the door open fully so she could see inside. Richard was sitting on his bed, his back against the wall. He had a whiskey bottle in his hand and his eyes were bloodshot. He wasn't wearing his jacket or his gloves, so his black T-shirt was visible.
"Oh my god, Rich! Have you been drinking?!" Rainbow asked.
"Don't worry, it won't kill me no matter how much I drink." Richard said.
"Bullshit it won't! You could die from this if you keep going!" Rainbow said. Richard gave a small burp.
"Do you know what it's like to know that everyone you know and love, everyone you meet, will die and you can't. It's a price to pay for immortality, you become fully grown and then your biological clock just stops. Then nothing can kill you, but hey, at least you live for ever right?" Richard said.
"What are you talking about?!" Rainbow said. Richard gave a small laugh.
"I found out I was immortal a month after I was cursed. I shot myself in the head and the wound just healed. The reason people die is because our bodies can't heal the everyday wear and tear we put it through. But my body does, I can heal so quickly that I can take a bullet through the brain and not die. My organs and muscles just keep healing and rehealing. Therefore I can't age past my current age of eighteen. A week after this discovery I watched someone get hit by a car. It got me thinking about the people in my life, and how they will die and I'll be left alone. It drives you mad, you know that every time you save someone, you are just prolonging the inevitable. That's when I realized that this thing inside me, it's not killing these bad people to save others. It's killing them for its own personal vendetta, because those people broke the mold of what he considers a perfect world. A world without crime, a world without suffering, a world without people killing each other." Richard said.
Rainbow just starred at Richard awe struck. She knew he was really low, but she didn't realize just how low he really was. He was so sad and alone, it was driving him insane. Rainbow walked up to Richard, she grabbed the whiskey bottle from his hand and threw it up against a wall on the opposite side of the room. The bottle shattered on contact, Richard didn't seem to care. Rainbow grabbed Richard by the shoulders and looked into his eyes. She saw the pain and torment behind them, she could help but she'd a single tear. The tear landed on Richards leather boot, he slowly shifted his gaze to the small drop on his boot. He stared at it intently with concerned eyes.
"Why are you crying?" Richard said. Rainbow quickly pulled Richard into a hug and started sobbing.
"You've been put through so much pain. One boy doesn't deserve all this suffering. Nobody does. And because of it you've given up to insanity. I just hope that I can help take some of that pain away." Rainbow said through sobs. "Come with me." Rainbow helped Richard walk, he grabbed his jacket and his gloves but he didn't put them on. She loaded him into the front seat of her car. He sat there with his jacket and gloves In his lap, he was squinting in the light because eyes hadn't adjusted yet.
"Where are we going?" Richard asked.
"My place."
"Why?"
"Because you need change of scenery." Rainbow said, her eyes were still puffy from crying.
The sun was setting, the air was cool, and the crickets were noisy as usual. Richard and Rainbow were walking out of a diner. Richard was wearing all of his gear that he brought with him that morning, his eyes were still bloodshot so he was wearing a pair of sunglasses. They were walking towards Rainbow dash's car, talking about their day.
"You see, it wasn't that bad to get out of that house." Rainbow said.
"Alright, can you take me home now?" Richard asked.
"Oh I don't think so big guy, you seem to have some bad memories in that house. You're staying at my place tonight." An explosion went off across the street and seven trucks sped off. "I'm guessing we're gonna follow them?"
"Yep"
"I'm driving."
"Not a chance in hell am I letting you scratch up your sports car Rainbow. I'm driving, the car won't take damage that way." Richard took the keys from Rainbow dash's hands and got in the car. Rainbow quickly ran around to the other side and got in. The car screeched off and followed the convoy.
"So how are we gonna stop em?" Rainbow asked.
"Let's just say you might want to hold on."
"What do you mean?" Richard quickly flipped the sunglasses off of his face, revealing his eyes. The irises were a bright, glowing orange. The normally white parts of his eyes were black. Richard grew a wild grin.
"IT MEANS BUCKLE THE FUCK UP! AHAHAHAHA!" The car burst into flames and increased its speed. He slammed into the vehicle at the rear of the convoy. The car exploded and spun out of the street. It was obvious that the rider had control at this point.
"Holy shit dude!" Rainbow said. Richard started singing a Christmas tune with a few words changed.
"It beginning to look a lot, like columbine! Everywhere you look! There's bullets in the air! There's an explosion over there! HAHAHAHAHA!" He slammed the car into the side of another truck, causing it to collide with a telephone pole and explode.
"Dude! Calm down!" Rainbow said.
"I use to have one million people to kill, then I killed ten, now I have nine hundred ninety! HAHAHA!" He smashed into yet another vehicle, it flipped over and blew up. "What's that? You want to die in the most painful way possible? And you want me to kill you? ID BE HAPPY TO! AHAHAHAHA!" He gave the car everything she had, and plowed right through the next truck.
"Gee, Richard wasn't kidding about how crazy you are." Rainbow said.
"Yeah I'm crazy, IM A FUCKING PSYCHO KILLER! HAHAHAHAHA!" He turned the car sharply to the left, it pushed yet another truck off the road. The truck flew off into a ditch and blew up. "WATCH ME RIP OUT YOUR INTESTINES AND USE THEM AS A CONDOM WHILE I FUCK YOUR SEVERED HEAD, COCKFACE! AHAHAHAHA!" He pushed another truck into a gas station at full speed, the truck plowed into the gas pump and blew up.
"Ok you are beyond any level of crazy I've seen or heard of, how can one being be this fucked up."
"THANK THE BUTTFUCKING KING OF HELL! HE TORTURED ME FOR FIVE THOUSAND YEARS! AND NOW IM GONNA DESTROY HIS ASS WHEN WE MEET AGAIN! NOW LETS FUCK THIS GUYS TRUCK IN THE ASS! HAHAHAHAHA!" He smashed the car into the rear of the final truck it blew up and tumbled for a few yards. Rainbows car turned back to normal, so did Richards eyes.
"Man, the rider is absolutely batshit insane." Rainbow said.
"Yeah sorry about that, I couldn't hold him in. Hey, can you hand me the sunglasses, my eyes burn from the street lights." Rainbow bent down to grab the sunglasses, her head was awkwardly hovering over Richards crotch as she shifted her hand around on the floor. "I asked for the sunglasses, not a blowjob." Richard said.
"Ha ha, very funny, here are the damn sunglasses. Im gonna take a nap while you drive us back to my place." Rainbow said.
"Alrighty then." With in moments rainbow was asleep. Richard would occasionally glance over at her to check if she was ok. He looked at her for a good second and rubbed the back of Rainbows hair, it was soft. "You've done too much for me." He mumbled to himself. He stopped rubbing Rainbows head and placed his hand back on the steering wheel with the other. They were halfway home when Rainbow woke up. She yawned and rubbed her eyes.
"Hey, can you pull over, I'll take over driving. You need a little sleep." She said. Richard pulled over and the two swapped seats. Richard fell asleep in moments, as rainbow was driving she put on some quiet rock and roll. She drove for about half an hour when she heard Richard speak.
"You know he likes you right?" He said.
"Um sorry, who am I speaking to?" Richards eyes flashed open, they looked like they did when the rider took over.
"Who do you think? Hehehe." Rainbow dash rolled her eyes.
"What do you mean?" She asked.
"I mean your little buddy Richard has a crush on you, and in case you didn't understand that let me explain it a couple of different ways. He has a thing for you, he's attracted to you, you send his heart a flutter, need I say more?" The rider said with a grin.
"No, I got it the second time. Besides, how do I know your not just lying to me?"
"Because then I would be breaking my own mold. HAHAHAHAHA!"
"So what Rich said is true huh? But wait, that means your not lying."
"I told you! Now, I'm curious, how do you feel about him? And don't lie to me or I'll obliterate you." Richard started that sentence with a grin, but he got serious when he mentioned obliterating her. Rainbow sighed.
"I guess I have a thing for him too. He's been through so much and yet he hasn't gone completely batshit like you. I admire that about him. And underneath that rough exterior there's a soft interior. I guess I like him because I can relate. I put on this tough appearance but inside I could be screaming in fear."
"Thank you, oh and about the crazy thing. I TRY! HAHAHA! Well, good night, I've gotten all I wanted." Richards body instantly went limp and fell into its previous position. She glanced at him every so often, she wanted to do something.
"Ah screw it." She said, she gave him a light kiss on the cheek. "I love you big guy." She whispered.
Rainbow pulled up out front of Richards house. She noticed his garage was open, she walked toward the side of the house. She peeked in to see a bike on its kickstand and Richard underneath it. He was tightening some bolts when Rainbow dash tried to get his attention with a cough. His head shot up and he hit it on the bike frame.
"Son of a bitch!" He exclaimed.
"Sorry, I was just going to ask what you were working on." Rainbow said.
"It's alright, and to answer your question I just changed the oil and flushed the coolent. I also gave the bike a carb adjustment so it should sound better." Richard said.
"Well what kind of bike is it?"
"It is a Harley Davidson sportster 48, two people can ride on it. My Honda Magna VF750 over there is a bobber so it only has one seat." Richard pointed to the other bike right next to the one he was working on. Rainbow noticed that they were both painted black.
"Nice color variety." She said sarcastically.
"Nice sarcasm." Richard said. Rainbow stood there for a few seconds while Richard finnished tightening a few bolts.
"Hey Rich? Do you think we could go for a ride on the bike?" Rainbow asked nervously. Richard got out from under the bike, he was wearing a grey, short sleeved T-shirt. He stood up and put his tools away.
"Sure, but your not riding with me on my bike wearing that." Richard pointed to her usual clothes. "Follow me, we're roughly the same size so you should be able to fit in my spare riding clothes." He said. He opened the door leading from the garage to the main house, he signaled for Rainbow to follow. She followed him up his stairs where he grabbed his jacket and tossed it to Her. He pulled out a pair of leather pants, gloves and boots and handed them to her. "That jacket is my lucky jacket, I'm letting you wear it so it can keep you safe. When ever I wear that jacket and get into an accident, I only slide. I don't break anything, I don't get road rash, I just slide after the accident."
"Oh, you don't need to give me your lucky jacket, I'll just use your spare."
"No no, your wearing the lucky jacket. The last thing I want is for you to get injured if we crash, then I would be responsible. Now go Get ready." Rainbow looked around.
"Where?"
"The bathroom is to your right, you can change in there. I'll be with the bike while I'm waiting." He said as he walked down the steps. Rainbow put on the gear that she was given, the only thing that didn't fit perfect was the jacket. It was a little to big for her, she just shrugged and walked down the stairs. As she was zipping up the jacket she noticed the look of the Harley had changed. It was shinnier then before.
"Holy cow! What did you do to it!" She asked with a smile.
"I waxed her and polished her up while you were gone. She was a bit dusty, and I actually had an idea. You could ride the sportster, and I'll ride the Magna. We can use Bluetooth headsets to talk to each other." Rainbow liked the idea. "You do know how to ride a motorcycle don't you?" He asked.
"Yeah i do! And I like the idea! Let's ride!" She said. Rich tossed her a helmet as he put his own helmet on. His helmet was kind of ironic, it had a flaming skull design on it. "Oh the irony." She said to herself.
"Yeah I thought you might like that. Actually, why the fuck am I putting a helmet on? I don't need it." He tossed the helmet aside and started his bike. Rainbow started the Harley and revved the engine a few times. Richard pulled out of the drive way first and Rainbow followed. "His bike is so damn loud!" Rich said with a smile. Rainbow saw him smile and she grew one as well. That was the first time she ever saw him smile, and he didn't stop smiling. They pulled onto the highway and started riding faster.
"Hey! Let's see how fast these babies can go!" Rainbow said.
"Alright!" Richard said, his smile grew as he increased speed. "Oh lord you better hold on! This bitch likes to go! Aaaoooowww! Feel that pull baby!" Richard said with a smile. Rainbow laughed a bit, this was the first time she had ever seen him truly happy.
"that is the first time I've ever seen you smile!" Richard ignored the comment, he was to busy enjoying the Magna.
"I've gotta take this bike out more! I forgot how fuckin awesome this thing is!" They came to a red light so they stopped, Richard pulled out his phone.
"What are you doing?" Rainbow asked.
"Putting on some road music. I think you'll like it." Richard said, he tapped the screen and placed the phone back into his pocket. A song came on through the Bluetooth headsets. It was ozzy ozborn's crazy train. The light turned green right as the tempo of the music increased its speed. The two were jamming out on the bikes, having a good time. Richard made a comment that gave Rainbkw mixed feelings. "I haven't had fun like this in a long time!" Rainbow decided to laugh with Richard. Richard let go of the handle bars and stood up on the foot rests. He was doing an air guitar and the bike seemed to keep steady. He only stopped when he needed to twist the throttle. He sat back down on the bike and they made a U-turn to head back to Canterlot.
Richard was visiting an old castle in the canterlot area. He decided that it would make an interesting day trip, it's not like he could go to school for a few weeks. After the little incident with those assholes, Richard was suspended. He wondered threw the castle remains, looking at all the old stone work. His gaze fell opon an seemingly empty wall. Richard had walked to a dead end, or so he thought. On further inspection of the wall, he found a stone in the middle of the wall that was shaped like a skull. It was a small stone so it was easy to be missed. Richard couldn't help but look into its eyes. He starred for a good thirty seconds before the sound of stones grinding together became audible.
The wall separated down the middle, revealing a staircase. Richard, who was very curious by now, started walking down the steps. The door closed behind him, causing the room to fill with darkness. Richard held his hand out in front of him, a small ball of fire formed. The light was very dim, but Richard kept going. He took two steps when All the torches lining the walls suddenly ignited. Richard made an observation at that point. The secrets of this castle seem to give themselves away when he uses certain abilities. First the door with his gaze, and now the torches with his control over fire.
As rich continued down the stairs, he saw some strange things. One such thing was a statue of the rider, with angle wings. To Richard this was extremely weird, the rider is far from an angle behavior wise. He continued down the rest of the stairs. The narrow stairway opened up to a big room with pillars, statues like the one on the stairs and a throne like thing placed at the back. Each torch holder was in the shape of a skull, and the fire from the torch appeared to come on from the eyes.
Richard felt a strong urge to approach the throne. He slowly walked up to it, he stopped right in front of it. It seemed to have a lot of detail on it that resembled parts of the human skeleton. Things like skulls, ribs or even hands. Richard looked around the room, making sure no one was there. He sat down on the throne, for something made of stone Richard had to admit, it felt comfortable. He jumped when he heard a clank, it sounded close, really close. Richard went to stand up, but he found that his arms, legs and head were being held by the stone skeleton hands. He shook violently, trying to get free, but he couldn't.
He heard the sound of stone grinding on stone again. A statue of the rider with angle wings was sliding into the middle of the room. It slid closer to Richard until it was only a few feet away. With the hands holding his head, Rich couldn't look anywhere but the statues eyes. Richard felt an intense pain, the rider was trying to get out. Richard started screaming in pain. but with in a minute, the screams had turned into psychotic laughter. Richard was violently shaking in the chair, his eyes were wide and he had a massive smile on his face. He continued to laugh as the rider started to painfully change him.
"Merry Christmas you assholes!" Richard shouted at the statue. As the transformation neared completion, the statues eyes started glowing a bright white light. The rider slowly began to calm down as he stared into the statues eyes. Eventually, the throne released him and the rider stood up. He followed the statue back to the middle of the room before collapsing onto his hands and knees. He transformed back into Richard with in minutes. Richard vomited on the floor, when he looked up the statue was gone. Richard looked around, he was panting hard. "I need to find Rainbow, she needs to know what it told me." Richard whispered to himself.
Richard left the castle and made his way to sugarcube corner. School had just let out for the day, so he was bound to find her and her friends there. He sped up to the cakes shop and came to a sudden stop, Richard wasn't usually good at breaking suddenly at high speeds. But he did it like a pro this time. He quickly jogged up to the front door, he pulled the door open and stepped inside. He looked around the room, he spotted the girls in their usual spot. He quickly walked up to Rainbow dash, he placed his hands on the table and looked her in the eyes.
"Discovered something... Must tell you, now." Is all he could get out. Rainbow looked around with a laugh.
"Well hello to you too. Man you look like shit, what happened" She said, sarcastically. He leaned in close to her face, she could tell it was serious.
"No time for jokes, I found something out about ye old psychopath inside me." Richard said. Rainbow pulled up an empty chair.
"Well, sit down and tell us." She said. Richard sat down and took a deep breath.
"You know how it's the spirit of vengeance right?" The girls nodded. "Well, he wasn't always the spirit of vengeance. He was the angle of justice at one point, he was sent to earth to punish the guilty and protect the innocent. Well, the devil tricked him and dragged him to hell. He tortured him for thousands of years, corrupting him, turning him into the spirit of vengeance. And excuse me if I'm talking really fast because I feel as if a big weight was lifted off my shoulders when I found this out. What I think happened, is the rider went insane and couldn't remember if the whole angle thing was a psychotic dream or reality. That's why he kills so ruthlessly. Although, do to the way I found out.... I think he knows what he is now. Normally when you are cursed with the rider, you feel a heavy pit in your heart. I don't feel it anymore and I actually feel a lot lighter."
"Woah, slow down there dude. How did you find out?" Rainbow asked.
"I found a secret passage way in the abandoned castle, it led to a throne room. Long story short I sat in the throne, and it proceeded to hold me down as I was forced to look into the eyes of a statue of the rider. The only weird thing is, the statue had angle wings. It's like it force this information into my head and forced the rider to look at what he really is. I also got a small snip it of something else, it's just six words but I think it's important. It got the words 'more power then he's ever known.' I don't know who or what it was talking about, but clearly something is stronger. I fear It maybe the rider." Richard said.
"Maybe it's a good thing. Maybe now that the rider knows who he is, he'll be more tame." Sunset proposed.
"That doesn't explain why I can't force the rider to come out though. Normally I can just force him to come out, but now I can't. It's like he's fused to me or something." Richard said.
"Well, did you try focusing really hard. Maybe if you focus, you can use the riders abilities. That will only work if the rider really is fused with you though." Sunset said.
"One way to find out for sure." Richard removed a glove, he looked at his hand intently. After thirty seconds of focus, he had just about given up. He exhaled and he felt all of his anxiety leave him. His hand suddenly started smoking, Richard noticed this right away. He tried to go into a meditative state so he wouldn't feel his anxiety, it moments his hand burst into flames. The flames were different though, they weren't their usual orange color. Instead they were blue, Richard stood up when he felt a sharp pain in his upper back. After two minutes of pain, it stopped. Richard looked at his friends, they were all wide eyed. "What?" Richard said. He looked to see if there was someone behind him, but instead his eyes met a large wing with black feathers. He looked to his right and saw another one. He folded the wings against his back and gave his friends a wide smile.
"Dude." Rainbow said quietly.
"This is so awesome! Do you know what this means?" Richard said.
"Yeah, it's the first time the rest of us have seen you smile." Pinkie said. Richard laughed a bit.
"No, not quiet. It means I'm the embodiment of justice!" Richard said. He noticed everyone was starring at him, probably because he just sprouted wings out of no where. Rarity looked at him in horror.
"I hope those wings didn't tear through that gorgeous jacket of yours!" She said, she rushed over to Richard. And looked at his back, sure enough they had. "Oh for the love of Pete!" She said. Richard turned his head a bit.
"Here, let me see if this will fix it." Richard said. He sucked the wings back into his body. It was slightly less painful then growing them, but it was still painful none the less. The holes that the wings had made in Richards jacket slowly fixed themselves. It looked as if nothing ever happened. "Well this is awesome." Richard said, Applejack looked at his hand.
"Uh, your hand is still on fire sugarcube." She said. Richard shook his hand and it went back to normal. An idea popped into Richards head.
"Hey, if I'm going to fight for justice I should probably have a gun." Richard said.
"Well what gun would you even buy?" Rainbow asked.
"Well, I've always wanted a model 1887 bootleg shotgun." Richard said.
"I guess we're gonna have to get you one." Rainbow said. Richard felt something weird inside his jacket, something that wasn't there before.
"Hold that though, what the hell is this." He said, he pulled out the offending object. Lone behold, it was a model 1887 bootleg shotgun. Richard smiled, he let out a small laugh. "I have no idea where this came from." He said.
"Quick, try something else." Rainbow said.
"Alright, how about a custom sword?" He said. He felt another object in his jacket, he pulled it out. It was a sword, the hilt looked like it was made on metal bones while the blade had a fire pattern engraved into it. "Dude, I'm like a walking armory!" He said as he put the sword back in his jacket, it disappeared as he slid it into his inside pocket. "Well, I guess justice is now on wheels."
Richard was riding his Harley down the street, he was following sunsets car to Rarity's boutique. They were cruising along, when sunset stopped the car. Richard got off his bike and walked to the side of the car, sunset had gotten out of her car already and she was staring at something. Richard saw what it was, it was a 15 foot tall, buff demon with a gun the size of a cannon.
"Well shit, this was suppose to be my day off. Might as well see what this motherfucker wants." Richard stepped toward the creature. "They yo what up?!" He shouted at the beast, it snorted and pointed the gun at Richard. "Shit." The gun went off and the round hit Richard in the face. He fell on to his back and groaned. Richard was pissed at this point, he looked back at the girls to see them covering there mouths. "What?" He asked. the round that hit him had also hit a near by car, causing a hub cap to come off. The silver disc rolled toward Richard and fell flat at his feet. Richard picked it up and looked at his reflection, he gasped at what he saw. The round had blow the flesh off of his left eye, the skin was missing for about a centimeter around the eye socket. The socket always looked as if Richard was angry. The socket itself was a black pit, making it impossible to see the back of the socket. Richard didn't notice the damage because he could still see out of the eye, even though it was gone.
Richard clenched his teeth, because the eye had been blown off so suddenly, he didn't feel any pain other than a stinging where the flesh ended around the eye. "You, took my eye out. You, took my eye out! YOU TOOK MY EYE OUT!" Richard screamed in rage, he pulled his sword out from his jacket. "YOU TOOK MY EYE! SO IM GONNA TAKE YOUR HEAD!" He yelled. The creature shot another round at Richard, richard cut the large, round ballbearing in half. He took the hood of the damaged car and carried it with him, the hood slowly morphed into a skull shaped shield. Richard charged at the creature full speed, he transformed and leapt into the air. The sword entered the creatures shoulder first.
Richard used this new anchor point to swing himself onto the shoulders of the beast. Richard removed the sword from the creatures shoulder, and shoved it into the back of its neck. The sword exited the front of the beasts throat, the creatures spinal cord had been severed. Richard pulled the sword out and sliced the beasts head off with one swing. Richard quickly jumped off of the falling monster and took the head with him. The creature hit the ground with a thud, it almost immediately burst into flames. When the blaze went out, the body was just an ash pile, the head did the same. Richard transformed back into his normal state, he started walking towards the girls. He put his new shield and his sword into his jacket where they disappeared.
He came to with in about five feet of them and stopped, they were still looking at him weird. Normally when he went into the rider form, all wounds he had in his normal form would be healed. He rushed passed the girls and looked into sunsets left side view mirror. They eye was still missing. "GOD FUCKING DAMMIT!" Richard screamed as he kicked sunsets car, Richard was furious.
"Hey, it's not that bad." Rainbow said. Richard laughed slightly.
"Not that bad? That's easy for you to say because YOU DONT HAVE TO LIVE WITH THIS FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!" Richard yelled, pointing at his empty eye socket. He sharply elbowed the car beside him, setting off the car alarm. "It's not that bad huh!? IM MISSING A FUCKING EYE! As if it wasn't enough that I'm already going to get stared at in school for exploding on those punk! now I won't be able to talk to anyone without them staring at this!" Richard said, once again pointing to his missing eye. "I'm gonna have little kids screaming at me, all because THAT FUCKING THING DECIDED TO TAKE A DAMN SHOT!"
"Well, I think it looks cool!" Pinkie said. Richard took a deep breath, trying not to yell at her.
"Pinkie, let me put this into perspective for you. I won't be able to make any new friends if I have to move, all because of this. I won't be able to get a girlfriend, all because of this. I will be harassed by people on the street, being told to go die in a hole, all because of this! I WILL HAVE TO STAY INSIDE MY HOUSE! AND PRAY FOR NIGHT TO COME SO I CAN GO OUT! ALL! BECAUSE! OF THIS!" Richard said, pinkie's hair deflated as she realized why Richard was acting the way he was. "I have no reason to be happy, or to laugh right now." Richard said through clenched teeth.
"S-sorry Rich. I, I didn't think about all that." Pinkie said. Richard sighed.
"Pinkie, I know you like making people smile. But sometimes, you shouldn't try to cheer them up. You don't know why there in a bad mood, so don't just break out the party stuff. Ask what's going on first. And if it's serious, like this, then give them there space for while." Richard said.
"Hey, it's gonna be fine Rich. You still have us!" Rainbow said, Richard noticed that her gaze was only on his damaged eye.
"Rainbow please stop staring at my eye. I know it's awful looking, but you are making me really self conscious by staring at it AS you speak to me." Richard said.
"Well, if it makes you feel any better, I think it matches your outfit." Rarity said.
"Rarity, that would make me feel better, if I was into fashion like you are. But I'm not." Richard said. Richard sat down and put his head in his hands. "This is going to suck major ass."

Equestria here he comes! And what the hell happened to him?
Sunset shuffled through her back pack to find the source of a vibration she felt. She knew it could only be one thing, princess Twilight. She pulled the book out and opened it to the freshly written letter. She gasped as she read the contents of the page. This had gotten the attention of her friends, who were all sitting down and eating lunch.
"What is it sugarcube?" Applejack asked. Sunset turned to face her friends.
"Someone is currently attacking equestria, Twilight tried to use the elements of harmony against it. They had no effect." Sunset said with a grim tone. Even Rich was interested now, he knew there was only one thing this could be.
"Tell her to open the portal, that thing sounds an awful lot like Mephisto." Richard said.
The group were following behind Richard as he walked through the hallway of the school. Richard had a serious look on his face, while the others wore faces of concern.
"So are you sure it's Mephisto?" Sunset asked.
"Positive, it wasn't beaten by the elements of harmony. Yet princess Luna was, the princesses are basically like living gods. So if they can banish a living God, they should be able to stop anything that's not supernatural. And guess who's supernatural?" Rich said.
"But won't you go berserk in the presence of the devil?" Sunset asked.
"Well the devil doesn't control the rider so I'm kind of continuing on that." Rich said, he pushed the school doors open and walked toward the statue.
"Are you sure you can beat him?" Sunset asked, Richard stopped in his tracks. He slowly turn on his heels to face her.
"I found out why I was able to fuse with the rider. Because I've been wronged a lot, my soul is technically it's own spirit of vengeance. And that statue gave me my soul back. Basically, I absorbed the other rider making us one stronger, more revenge hungry rider." Richard said.
"You say absorbed, but your not crazy like the other rider, so how are you all one being?" Sunset asked, Richard smiled.
"Who said I'm not crazy." His eyes flashed an orange color and he smiled. He turned and walked through the portal. He felt dizzy as he went through, he plopped down onto the ground on the other side. He was greeted by a small, purple alicorn. It was Twilight, with out a doubt. Richard stood up, on his hind legs. From what sunset had told him, he should be a pony. But looking back into the mirror he was still a human. "Huh, guess the portals magic doesn't work on a spirit of vengeance." Richard said. "So, where is this little problem of yours?"
A cyan blue Pegasus flew into the room at top speed, paying no attention to the human being standing in the room. "TWILIGHT! The thing will be in ponyville ANY MINUTE! Tell sunset to hurry and send this pony already!" Richard coughed, gaining the attention of the mare.
"I think you mean send this person. And I'm already here." Richard said. "I'm guessing we're gonna need to get there fast, so let me just call my ride." Richard stuck two fingers in his mouth and whistled, they all stood there awkwardly for a few moments.
"Uhuh? So where is this ride of yours?" Rainbow dash asked.
"You might wanna step back." Richard said. The two ponies moved just in time, the bike zipped through the portal and came to a stop on its kickstand. The bike was his Harley, but it started doing something after it came through. It began to change, the tire forks became chains, and the front of the bike had a skull on it. The gas tank looked like it had five bones fingers running up the outside.
The last thing to change was the tires, which burst into flames. Rainbow dash just sat there with her jaw dropped.
"What... Is that!?" Rainbow asked. Richard smiled and laughed.
"That's my ride!" Richard got on the bike and twisted the throttle a few times. the bike was in neutral, so it wasn't going anywhere. Richard smiled and nodded his head. "Let's ride!" He said, he quickly dropped the bike into first gear. He twisted the throttle and kept his feet planted on the ground. The rear tire began to spin. because the bike wasn't going anywhere, a cloud of white smoke built up from the friction. Twilight and Rainbow dash moved out of the way, Richard quickly picked his feet up and the bike took off. It smashed through the front doors and left a trail of fire on the ground, Twilight gulped.
"Celestial help us." She said.
Richard was speeding through ponyville, Rainbow dash was flying next to him. Richard gave a few "wohoo's" while he was riding, his bike was going faster then it ever had before. Richard felt his hair whipping around in the wind, but one thing wasn't present. Normally, as Richard rode his bike his eye socket would produce a whistling sound. The whistling sound wasn't there, Richard quickly stopped the bike. He looked at his reflection in a shop window. his eye, it was back! Richard laughed out of pure joy, he quickly twisted the throttle again, Taking off at high speeds. He did a fiery sonic boom on his bike, he laughed as Rainbow looked back to see the fire colored shockwave. He sped passed Rainbow dash and she couldn't keep up with him. She even tried the sonic Rainboom, and she still couldn't keep up with him.
He suddenly stopped the bike with a skid. Rainbow dash could not stop as quickly, and she was approaching quickly. She braced herself for impact with Richard. Richard caught her with one arm like you would cautch a foot ball. She opened her eyes when she didn't feel an impact. Richard put the pony down and got off his bike. "You might wanna go now Rainbow. I've got unfinished business to take care of." He said, eye balling the man who made him a deal.
"Mephistopheles." Richard said.
"Hello, Richard. Nice to see you again, how's life going?" The devil said with a smirk.
"It's been shit since you made that deal. I'm guessing you know that I have my soul back?" Richard said.
"Oh yes, and I'm quiet livid about that. Now, I'm guessing your here to save these, ponies. HA! Your even worse then black heart! Aw, is the big bad rider angry? Ooo, I'm so scared." Said the devil, Richard pulled out duel chains with hooks on them. The Devils smirk faded, he was pissed that anyone would challenge him.
"You should be scared, you haven't seen what happens when a rider goes apeshit." Richard said, the devil grew his smirk again.
"And I should be scared why?" He said smugly.
"Because my soul isn't just my soul anymore, it's a new spirit of vengeance, and it's so powerful that it devoured the spirit of vengeance that you put inside me." Richard smiled, the Devils smile fell.
"But that means you're-"
"The physical embodiment of gods wrath and vengeance. It also means I'm heavens strongest arch angle, that makes me qualified to hand your ass to you on a silver platter." Richard said, the Devil flew at Richard. He was stopped short by a boot hitting him in the nose, he stumbled back a bit. He shook his head and flew straight up, he was a decent hundred feet up when he stopped.
"HA! Try and reach me up here! Heavens strongest arch angle my a-" he was cut short by a heavy chain hitting him across the face, knocking him out of the air. The devil got back to his feet and looked at Richard with a burning hatred. "Ok tough guy, let's see you handle my true form." He said. The Devils body quadrupled in size and muscle, his skin turned red and he grew larg horns and a tail. His legs became equine like, they were red but he had black hooves on them.
"Wow, your even uglier in this form! I didn't think that was possible! Man, you fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down!" Richard said.
"I don't think you should tease him." Rainbow said nervously.
"Well it's not my fault! this ones face looks like it got run over by a Fucking lawnmower! after he fell out of the ugly tree!" Richard said. The devil snorted, he charged at Richard, who wasn't paying attention. He turned to see the horned beast a few feet away from him. "Shit." One of the Devils horns pierced through Richards abdomen, the devil didn't stop charging until the horn Richard was on got stuck in a tree. Richard looked down, he saw the horn going right through his body. "Now, I'm fucking pissed."He said through clenched teeth.
He pulled the horn out of himself, and broke it over his knee. As if that wasn't painful enough, he stabbed the devil in the eye with his own horn. Richard let go of the beast and it howled up into the air as it held its eye. Richard took this opportunity to transform, he burst into flames with a bright flash of orange light. He stuck two fingers in his mouth and whistled sharply. Metal parts from all across ponyville started moving towards Richard, each one fitting onto him a certain way. When the metal parts ran out of room on Richards body, they started layering on top of each other. Some parts aligning to form mechanical systems. With in minutes is was half as tall as the devil.
After ten minutes, the final part fell into place, forming the riders new ultimate weapon. The mecha rider, the mech looked similar to the rider in every way. It even had two gigantic chains in its hands. The only thing it was missing was the fire, which was quickly rectified when the rider took control over it. The mech began to move, taking its first step. It was a little wobley when it walked, but after a few steps it was walking smoothly. The devil removed his hand from his eye, he looked a little worried. That didn't last long, he quickly grew his usual grin.
"Heh, it's gonna take a lot more then that to stop m-" this time he was interrupted by a mechanical fist, it had nailed him right across the face. The rider didn't waste any time throwing another punch, this time it hit the devil with a left handed upper cut. The upper cut knocked the devil onto his ass, he rider tried to kick the devil in the face. Unfortunately, it didn't work, the devil caught his foot and practical threw him. The rider tumbled a bit, before rolling back onto its feet and charging full force at the devil.
The rider didn't bother to throw a punch, he just slammed into the devil at full speed. He kicked the beast across the face, knocking out a few teeth in the process. The devil wrapped one arm around the riders waist, and tucked his body under his arm. He lifted the rider up, and dropped him stomach first over his knee. He kicked the rider in the chest, sending him flying for a few yards. The rider stood up, he saw the colossal beast running towards him. He winded his fist back, and connected it with the Devils face. He then gave the devil an uppercut to the stomach and grabbed his tail.
He spun around, swinging the devil around and around until he finally let go. The devil went flying, he landed right on his lower jaw, causing him to flip over a few times. The devil stood up and the rider rushed at him. He threw a punch, but the devil caught it. The devil threw a punch, but the rider caught it. They were now at a stands still, it was now up to who let go first. The rider pulled his head back, and smashed his head against the Devils head. The devil stumbled backward, giving the rider a chance to land a left hook right in the Devils chest.
Before the devil could fall over from the force of the blow, the rider held him up by his final horn. He kept hitting him and hitting him, until the horn broke off under the pressure. The devil let out another pained cry, the rider proceeded to stab the devil in the stomach with his own horn. As the devil screamed in pain, the rider grabbed him by the head. He held his head in such a way, that the devil couldn't close his mouth. The mecha began to breath fire down the Devils throat, muffled screamed escaped the Devils mouth as he was being burned alive. And what worst is he was being burned from the inside out.
He stopped when he realized that there was nothing left to burn. The rider had eaten his soul, and burned the body into nothing. As the rider walked away from the scene, part after part slowly fell of the mech. Once he reached Rainbow dash, there was nothing left of the mech but a trail of metal parts. The rider transformed back, and Richard smiled at Rainbow dash. It wasn't a malicious smile, it was more of a warm one. He laughed a bit and said one thing.
"Can we get some food, I'm starving!" Richard said with a laugh, Richards stomach growled, confirming his statement. Twilight approached Rainbow with a smile and looked at Richard and She let out a sigh.
"Alright, we can go get something to eat." She said, rolling her eyes while keeping that smile on her face.
It was after school at CHS, and Richard was alone in the auditorium. Or, at least he thought he was alone. When he popped a CD into a portable stereo and took a deep breath, six girls quietly walked in. They were going to set up for a rehearsal, but then they saw Richard, on stage with his eyes closed, and a song beginning to play. Richard had a glum look on his face. He began to sing to the song, Rainbow Dash knew this song all to well, It was numb written by linkin park.
"I'm Tired of being what you what me to be.... feeling so faithless, lost under the surface."

Richard stopped singing as the song ended. The girls clapped, Richard jumped a bit. He laughed before taking a deep breath.
"Jesus, you scared me." He listened to the girls claps and wohoo's. "Thank you, your to kind." The other girls felt excited about him being a potential band member, but Rainbow couldn't help but feel that it was directed at someone. Richard walked up to them with a smile.
"Well ah'll be. You've got one heck of voice on ya Rich." Applejack said.
"Yeah he does! But hey, it seemed like that song was directed at someone, who was it directed at?" Rainbow asked. Richard smile fell and he scratched the back of his neck.
"I don't know, what ever deity is out there I guess."
"Why? Hasn't life gotten better for you?" Sunset asked.
"Not really, I still have to fight this thing for my sanity at night, I have to eat people's souls for what they have done, even if I don't want to."
"Wait, I thought you have control over this thing. Why do you have to fight it?" Rarity asked.
"The spirit of vengeance inside me is a sliver of my soul. Unfortunately, it's corruption is as infectious a cancer cell in a human body. It's slowly turning me, into what it previously was. I can't stop it, but I can prolong the enevitable." He said, dropping his eyes to the floor.
"How long do you have before you.... You know?" Rainbow asked.
"A month, give or take. I've been fighting it for about four months now. Sometimes I get little flare ups during the day, which tells me that the rider will be so strong, that he can walk in the daylight all the time. No other rider is capable of doing that. Some riders have transformed during the day, but for very short periods of time. Probably because they use so much energy to transform in daylight, but the rider... Or I guess I will be able to change effortlessly during the day. But I guess, this is the price of being an angle huh?" Richard said. Rainbow dash shed a single tear, she was grieving for the up coming loose of one of her friends. And to make matters worse, in his place will be a revenge driven monster.
She walked up and hugged him, and she hugged him tighter then she had hugged anyone before. She noticed Richards breathing changed, it was like he was quietly sobbing whilst hugging her.
"I can feel it coming, when I lay awake at night. It whispers things to me. 'Abandoned. Always alone. Never excepted. Thrown away. Broken. Trash. They hate you. They don't really want to be friends with you.' And you start to believe it, hoping that if you believe what it's saying, it will let you sleep. It's whispering right now. It's saying 'never except me. Always alone. Not one of them. Eat them. Destroy them. Make them pay.' And it just, doesn't, stop." He said through his sobs. He let go of Rainbow dash and fell to his knees, holding his head in his hands. "Get out of my head!" He shouted, followed by a short, unexpected chuckle coming from Richard. The chuckle sounded malicious, and creepy. His face wasn't visible because of his hair, which was hanging in front of his face. He began to sing something in a low, raspy tone.
"smiling wide, like you've been told a secret. Knew that you won't keep it."
"And to show you that I know you won't tell what I say, two can keep a secret if one of them is DEAD. "
He stopped singing, and slowly looked up. He had a big grin on his face, his irises were an orange color and the whites of his eyes were as black as night. He began chuckling.
"I guess my estimate was a little.... OFF. " He said, putting a growl into his voice to emphasize the word. He continued to chuckle.
Richard walked out of the schools front entrance. The girls following close behind. Richard was laughing like a mad man, and he wasn't walking toward his Harley. He was instead, walking toward his flaming Magna.
"Rich, Rich where are you going?!" Rainbow asked. He sharply turned to Rainbow dash, the grin still on his face.
"Richard, is dead." He said ominously. He got on his Magna, twisted the throttle twice, letting out two roars from the engine. With the third twist he released the clutch, and the bike took off like a bullet down the street. The thing got to thinking 'no way in hell I'm keeping my name Richard. Well what the fuck should my name be?! Danny? Hell no, that sounds like it's been used. Fuck! What should my name be?!' He remembered his previous name, the name he was given by Richard. 'The spirit of vengeance. Huh, vengeance, has a nice ring to it. Maybe that will be my last name, but what about my fucking first name!? I don't know, Michael!? Wait..... Michael..... Michael Vendetta.... I LIKE IT!! HAHAHAHAHA!' The self proclaimed Michael twisted the throttle even more, pushing the bike to its top speed. Just like earlier, a fiery sonic boom went off. The blast shattered windows and lit some trees on fire, it even conveniently lit a guy's cigarette.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! CLEAR THE FUCKING ROAD!!!!! MICHAEL IS HUNGRY!!!!!" Michael yelled. He suddenly shot his gaze to his left, he was feeling something in that direction. He did a small skid on his bike, stoping the bike very quickly. He looked in the direction of the feeling with a puzzled look on his face. He grew a straight face and planted his left heel firmly on the ground. He gave the bike some gas, causing the bike to turn toward the feeling. Michael didn't even stop to realize that he had done his first heel turn, he just gunned it down a small road leading to the forest.
At one point in the forest, Michael went off-road to follow the feeling. He jumped his bike off of a ten foot tall cliff, and he realized that he was passing over the source of the feeling. He landed and did a small donut, he stopped the gas and looked around. What lay before him made him piss off beyond anything comprehensible. There were two teenage girls, no older then Rainbow Dash, beaten up and tied to trees. Around them were six guys with AR-15's, they were all looking at Michael. Michael got off his bike, and pulled out his Chains. They seemed to be glowing brighter then usual, but Michael didn't care. He looked at the one who appeared to be the ring leader. He quickly approached the man with inhuman speed, he was in front of the man in the blink of an eye.
"Hungry." He said in a deep, growling tone. He began to slowly open his mouth, and the man could see fire in the back of Michaels throat. The man appeared to be transfixed of the fire until Michael suddenly snapped his jaws shut. Michael grabbed the man by his throat, and force the man to look into his eyes. The man began to scream as his skin slowly burned away, and his skeleton fell apart. Michael released the man, and he continued to disintegrate on the ground. The other five men began to open fire. Once they realized that the bullets weren't doing anything they panicked, and they tried running off. Unfortunately for them, Michael could use his chains very accurately. He began picking them off one by one until the last one was on his knees begging for mercy.
"Mercy, you want mercy huh?" He pried the mans mouth open. "I'll show you mercy!" He began to vomit liquid metal down the mans throat, torching the mans lungs and stomach while the metal slowly burned its way to his heart. Michael finally stopped when the mans eyes stopped watering in pain. He turned his attention to the two girls, one had a cut on her cheek and the other had a busted lip. They both began to scream, fearing that they may meet the same horrible fate. They how ever, stopped screaming after Michael cut them free and walked away. They sat there confused for a second, they were sure that it was going to kill them. One of the girls spoke up.
"H-hey!" Michael turned to look at them. "C-can you show us the way back to town? We don't know or way out of these woods." She said nervously. Michael just nodded and sat on his bike.
"Follow me." He said. He drove slow as they walked beside him on the side of the road.
"T-thanks for saving us." One of the girls said. Michael just looked at the road ahead and answered.
"No problem." He said flatly.
"I-I'm Leila. this is my friend, Brooklyn. What's your name?" Michael looked at the girl out of the corner of his eye, then looked back at the road.
"Michael Vendetta." He said.
"Oh, well where do you go to school?" Leila asked.
"Canterlot High School." He said.
"Hey, we're transferring to that school this week! We just moved here, Brooklyn lost her parents recently so she's been living with my family. You see-" she seemed hesitant to finish her sentence. "My dad isn't the best of people, so my mother divorced him recently and he started throwing threats around. Things like he would kill us and stuff like that. So we moved to make sure he couldn't do anything, I guess he followed us though." Michaels gaze shot right at her, she had gotten his attention. "Those guys back there, were my dad and his friends. The 'ring leader' as you would call it, was my father. He was always an abusive son of a bitch." She said that last sentence through her clenched teeth.
The lights of a squad car were seen up the road. The girls immediately took notice of this and got excited.
"Looks like my mom called the cops!" Leila said. Michael immediately put his hood up so it would cover his face. The officer approached them.
"What's going on here!?" He asked.
"This man right here save us from my father, you see, he-" Michael took off at full speed down the street and turned a corner, never to be seen by the officer again. "Did, some, weird, stuff, and he killed my dad and his five friends." She finished her sentence.
Michael pulled up outside of CHS on his Magna again. He had a piece of paper in his hand, on the top in bold letters were the words 'eviction notice'. He stuffed the paper into the inside pocket of his jacket and shut his bike off. He put the kickstand down and climbed off the motorcycle. He started walking towards the main entrance to the school with his hands in his pockets.
"Hey Michael!" A familiar voice said. Michael looked to his right, he saw Leila from the other day. She had jeans on with a white shirt and high heeled boots. Michael also noticed that her hair was a gorgeous shade of brown, he couldn't tell last time because the sun was almost gone. Her eyes were a light shade of brown which matched her eyes. She was waving at him as she walked. "It's so good to see you! Thanks for saving my life by the way." She looked at Michaels bike. "That bike looks just as badass at night, I mean dayum! It's a nice bike." Michael chuckled slightly.
"Thanks. I see that the cut on your cheek is almost gone." He said.
"So how's it goin'?! It's been, like two days but still." Michael sighed.
"Which do you version do you want, they peppy version or the not so peppy version?" Michael said. Leila stopped smiling.
"Which ever one is the truth." She said. Michael pulled out the price of paper he had stuffed into his jacket and handed it to the girl.
"It's been shit." He said. She quickly skimmed the page, a look of concern growing on her face as she read. "I have no idea where I'm gonna stay after tomorrow, my fucking landlord found someone who can pay him more rent then I can. The bastard." He said, he took the paper back from Leila.
"Oh that's so sad to hear. I wish I could help...." She got an idea. "Actually, I think I can help." Michael looked her in the eyes.
"I'm all ears." He said.
"Well, my mother is going on a three month business trip today. So maybe you could stay in our guest bed room." She said.
"Do you have a garage? I have another bike at my house so I need to know if I should buy a tarp or not." He said.
"That won't be necessary, my house has a big garage so you can put your bikes in there. Speaking of which, what's the bike you have at home?" She asked. He pulled a picture out from his right jacket pocket.
"It's a 2015 Harley Davidson sportster 48, I usually ride that one because it was my first bike." He said. She smiled at him.
"I think I like the bike you rode here more." She said.
"Ah, so you like the Honda Magna VF750. Well it's loud as hell, that's one reason I like it. And it does look pretty bad ass, my Harley is just my favorite because of its horse power and its a slim looking cruiser."
"Everyone has there own tastes I guess." She said, the school bell rung signaling the start of the five minutes until class starts. "Oh, I gotta go, but I'll meet you right here after school ok?"
"Sure, I'm techniqually suspended for beating the shit out of some ass whole in the hall, so I'll just be working on my bike in the mean time." Leila put her hands on her hips and raised an eyebrow.
"And what could you possibly have to work on?"
"Well the hand brake is a little to easy to pull and the clutch is a little stiff. When it comes to those things you want some resistance, but not to much. And once that's done I guess I'll just drive around town." He said. Leila just laughed and shook her head.
"Alright then, I'll see you later." Michael nodded and pulled out his multi-tool.
Leila approached Michael after school, her boots making a clicking as she took each step. Michael was tightening a few bolts on his bike, he looked up to she Leila standing there.
"Ready to go?" She said with a smile. Michael nodded and started his bike, he lifted the kickstand and put the bike into first gear. He twisted the throttle, but kept the clutch mostly held in. This way the bike would move as fast as Leila was walking. "I'll take you to my place and show you where You'll be staying, sound like a plan?" She asked.
"Yup." He said. Leila looked at his bike for a few seconds.
"You know I've always wondered how motorcycles work, I just never got the nerve to ask anyone, and Google just made things confusing." She said. "Maybe you could show me."
"Well, this lever on my left, the one I'm partially holding in, that's the clutch. The right lever is the hand brake, you twist the right hand grip for the throttle." He pulled the clutch in all the way and gave the engine two quick rev's. "If you hold the clutch in, the transmission won't transfer the power to the rear tire. That's why I'm holding it in about 3/4's the way in, so I won't be going to fast for you. And if you hold the clutch in, and move the left peg up." He put the toe of his boot under the peg and lifted it up. "You change the gear, I just put it in second gear. Now, neutral is kind of weird on bikes because it's halfway between first and second gear. If you lift the peg to much, it will skip to second gear. It won't brake anything, but it will skip to the gear above it. But that's only for neutral." Michael explained how everything works as they made their way to Lelia's house, after that there was an awkward silence the rest of the way.
Michael put his kickstand down and cut his bikes engine. He pulled one bike up over the seat of the bike and stood. It was a decent sized house, bigger then his anyways. The house had three stories, a garage and a balcony.
"Well, this is it." Leila said, gesturing to the building.
"It's quiet a bit bigger then my house. How the hell do you afford this fucking thing?"
"Why do you think my mother goes on six month business trips?"
"Good point." They walked up to the front door of the house and pulled out her key.
"You'll have to get use to my friend, she's goth." With that she clicked the door open and they stepped inside. The down stairs was pretty open. The kitchen, dinning room and the living room were practically all one room. The place was so open that one of the first things Michael saw was a girl standing In the kitchen. The black haired girl had black eye liner on, black lipstick and black earrings. she was only wearing a T-shirt and her under wear. The girl finished buttering her toast and started walking towards the two.
"Sup numb nuts." She said, taking a bite of her toast as she passed Michael. She smacked Michael on the ass as she passed him. "daaam, nice ass." She said. Michael just looked at Leila with an expression that read 'what the fuck'. Leila just shrugged. Michael looked over his shoulder to make sure she wasn't around.
"The fuck? First of all, how is it she's comfortable with being in her underwear in front of me? And second of all, why did she smack my ass? And third of all, why the hell is she wearing a thong, let alone a skimpy one, at her age?" Michael asked. Leila sighed.
"I can tell you don't have any bedroom experience." She said.
"Hey what's that supposed to mean?!" He asked.
"It means you've obviously never had sex. If you have, then you should know that a lot of girls start wearing thongs like that by the age of sixteen. To answer your other questions, she smacked your ass because she's attracted to you and she's goth so she doesn't care what she wears in front of people." Leila said.
"I heard that!" Brooklyn yelled from the other room.
"Of course she did. Well anyway, I don't know much about you other then you saved my life. So what music do you like?" She asked.
"Well I listen to heavy metal." He said. Brooklyn walked into the room, heading toward the kitchen again.
"I can tell we're gonna get alone just fine." Brooklyn said as she smacked Michael's ass again.
"Could you not do that, my left ass cheek is still numb from the first time you did thaaa holy shit your naked!" He said while covering his eyes. Brooklyn still had her t-shirt on, but she had taken her thong off after she had left and she was now twirling it around her finger as she walked passed.
"What, you've never seen a girl naked before?" Brooklyn said.
"Uh, no not really." He said, his hands still over his eyes.
"Well, just relax." She said while pushing him onto the couch and sitting on his lap.
"Holy shit!" He said. He heard Leila laughing.
"Brooklyn, quit messing around. I still have to give him a tour of the place." She said, she pulled Brooklyn aside. "And let's not forget that I called first dibs." She said quietly.
"What?" Michael said.
"Oh nothing." She said. "Let me show you where you'll be staying." She took Michael up to his room on the third floor. "Here we are." She said as she opened the door." Michaels jaw dropped. He had never seen a bed room that big before.
"This is a bed room? It's the size of a small apartment." He said. Leila laughed.
"I'll let you get settled in. Dinner tonight is going to be pizza." She said.
"Hey, I hope you don't mind me staying here. I'd hate to be a bother." He said.
"It's alright. I mean, you get to stay here and my family gets a guardian angle, everyone wins. I'll be downstairs if you need me." She said. She walked off down the hall and disappeared from sight. Michael let out a sigh.
"A guardian angle huh? Well, she seems like a sweet girl. Although I don't know if you could call me an angle anymore." He said to himself.
Michael was sitting on the couch in the living room when a knock came at the door. He got up and looked out the window to see the pizza guy.
"I'll get it!" He said. He pulled out his wallet and opened the door. The man was standing there with two pizza's and a bottle of Pepsi. Leila walked up behind him and he passed her the pizza's and the Pepsi. "Take those to the kitchen."
"That will be $22.75." The man said, Michael nodded and pulled thirty dollars out of his wallet. He handed it to the man and nodded. "Keep the change." He said.
"Have a nice day." The delivery man said. He turned and walked back to his car. Michael closed and locked the door.
"Alright, so what we got?" He asked.
"I ordered on pepperoni pizza and one extra cheese pizza. Brooklyn likes pepperoni, but I prefer cheese." Leila said.
"So do I, I personally could never get into pepperoni. It gives me heart burn." Michael said. Leila placed a hand on Michael's shoulder.
"I feel ya hun." She said. "Well let's dig in."
"You know I can eat ten slices of pizza before I'll become sick. If I eat anymore then ten I'll get a stomach ache." Michael said.
"Well, you get half of the pie and I'll get the other half." She said. Michael put his hand on his hips.
"How does a girl like you keep that good looking figure and still be able to eat a half a pizza pie?" Michael said with a smile.
"One, thank you for the complement about my figure. Two, I have a fast metabolism. And three, I work out." She said.
"Watch it, she rip your dick off." Brooklyn said, her mouth was still full.
"I doubt she'd last very long if she tried. She'd probably wake up on the floor wondering how long she was out." Michael said.
"Are you saying you would hit a girl?" She said with a smile.
"Not really hit, more like a quick jab in the right spot using my two fingers. Pressure points." He said. Leila chuckled.
"Remind me never to get in a scrap with you hun." She said.
"Noted, now let's stop talking and start eating. And remember, you haven't had enough until you feel like a whale." He said.
Leila was sitting with Michael and his friends, she found that her and sunset had a lot in common. They were both fascinated by the fact that Michael is an angle, they both liked to do things hands on, and most of all they were friends with Michael. They both had a question to ask Michael, but they were quietly discussing who should ask. In the end, it was Leila who gave in and ended up being the one to ask.
"Hey Michael, if your an angle, then why are you stuck here on earth." She asked. Michael looked her in the eyes, he let out a sigh. 'Here goes another sad back story.' He thought.
"My brother is the most well known, and well loved arch angle. But, it wasn't always that way. I use to be the most loved, because of my vow to protect the innocent. my brother became jealous, and cast me out of the aether and striping me of my powers. But before I was stripped of my power, I created a single statue that would restore my power. The last thing I could sense before I blacked out, was a blackness inside his heart. To this day, he still has a darkness living inside of him. I'm sure he isn't to happy with me right now, since I have my power back." Michael said.
"Oh, I'm sorry for asking." Leila said.
"It's alright. Besides, at least he can't try to strip me of my power again. I don't think he can leave the aether." Michael said. The sky quickly became dark with clouds, and a rain began to fall. "Me and my big mouth." He said. From the clouds fell a human like figure with wings. He impacted the group, leaving the ground under him cracked. The rain did not stop, and the sky did not clear. Michael unfurled his wings and stood up to face his brother.
"Hello, Kethos." The man said.
"Heith." He said.
"I see you have your wings, pity I'll have to remove them again." Heith said.
"Yeah yeah, my name is Michael now by the way you prick." Michael said.
"You know brother, I should have destroyed you. But I didn't, I won't make that mistake again." Heith said. He flew at Michael at high speeds. Michael caught his fist before it could connect with his body.
"If we are going to fight we are not going to do it here, to many people could get hurt." He said. Heith laughed.
"So you care for these insects now do you? Very well, where shall we fight?" Heith asked.
"Follow me." Michael said. He flew straight up, high above the city. They stopped about five hundred feet up from the ground.
"So this is the grounds in which you've chosen? I'll say this, you sure know how to pick an open court. Now..." Heith cracked his knuckles. "Let the fight begin." He lunged at Michael, flying at his top speed. Michael made an x with his arms and the fist impacted, the impact created a big boom. Both of them were straining, trying to push against one another. Michael shifted and let the fist fly past his body, he punched heith in the face. Heith was sent flying and Michael followed after him. Heith stopped himself and proceeded to try and lung at him again. He tried to kick Michael, but Michael blocked it with his lower leg.
the girls watched on from below, a look of shock was plastered across their faces. Each blow created a small sonic wave from the massive amounts of force being applied. The two angles went to throw a punch at the same time, their fists collided and the shock wave knocked them back from each other. Heith charged a up a blast of black energy and shot it at Michael. Michael put his hand out and stopped the blast, heith looked on with a smug look on his face.
"I see you can stop my low energy attacks, how cute. But now it's time to die." He charged another attack, this beam was bigger and stronger then the last. Michael put both of his hands out and fired a blast of white energy to counter the blast. The two beams meet and were at a stand still. The two stopped firing two let the smoke clear. Michael flew at heith full force and landed a punch, the punch hit him in the face. The force of the blow almost sent heith flying, but Michael grabbed him by the legend threw him up into the sky. He blasted him with another attack. Heith was a little bruised and beaten up, his clothes were torn and dirty and he was panting.
Heith warped to Michael and gave him a strong upper cut. He warped to Michael again and hit him in the gut before blasting him. Michael had blood coming from the corner of his mouth, and his leather clothes were dirty and beaten. He wiped the blood away from his mouth and cracked his neck. He warped to heith and started delivering punch after punch, his fists were like lightning. He stopped punching and cupped his hands together, he raised them over his head. With a quick swing, he bashed heith over the head with the fist. Heith was pissed, he punched Michael in the gut repeatedly. He warped behind Michael, who was bent over from the blows to the stomach, and used his elbow to sharply jab Michael in the back.
Michael fell a few feet before he came to a stop. He warped to heith, grabbed him, and smashed his spine over his knee. As heith lay there on michaels knee, Michael began to repeatedly smash his elbow into heith's stomach. He dropped his leg down and let heith fall, heith didn't try to stop himself. Michael flew after heith and delivered his strongest punch, this increased the speed of his decent. Heith smashed into the group and just sat there coughing blood. Michael landed next to him, he just looked at his brother.
"B-brother, have mercy." Heith said.
"You destroyed my mercy a long time ago heith." He held his hand out, facing the palm at heith. "Now your gonna feel my wrath." He blasted heith with his most powerful beam of energy. Heith screamed as he was being destroyed, Michael shed a single tear for his brother. When Michael stopped, there was nothing left of heith. The rain did not stop, the storm had become a thunder storm. As bolts of lightning dances across the sky, moving from cloud to cloud, Michael pulled out one of his chains. It wrapped itself around his hand and he raised the hand to the sky. He looked towards the sky with a serious look on his face. He lowered his hand, but not his gaze.
It wasn't until he heard the sound of Leila's boots clicking on the wet concrete, that he looked down. He looked Leila right in the eyes, she slowly approached him. She wrapped her arms around him, Michael returned the gesture. They stopped hugging when a loud crack of thunder erupted, signaling them to get inside. They walked through the front door to see everyone had been watching. They all cleared a path for them to walk. Some gave Michael a pat on the shoulder, some gave him genial hugs, and others just starred at him in shock. He stopped in the middle of the main foyer. He turned to face everyone.
"You will no longer refer to me as a spirit of vengeance, but instead as a spirit of justice." He said, he sat down on a bench located in the foyer to rest. Someone started clapping, and pretty soon everyone there followed. They stopped when principle celestia and vice principal Luna came through. Celestia cleared her throat.
"In spite of these newest events, we are going to expunge your suspensions from your record. We are also awarding you, with the student of the year award." She said, he students behind her started cheering and applauding. Michael smiled and rested his head against the wall behind him.
Two riders are better then one
Lately, things had been calm around canterlot. What with its partially insane gaurdian. It was so calm that Michael had time to play video games. Him and Leila had gotten into a competitive rpg game, Michael had expressed his plans to level up high enough to beat anyone who crossed him. Liela had gotten a smug grin, like she knew that she had to stop him. Leila sat on her couch, watching videos on foomood. She was enjoying a gaming tutorial of her the game she had gotten into, she was trying to learn the mechanics so she could beat Michael. She didn't hear Michael walk into the room, he looked at her screen and gave a big grin.
"What are you doing?" Leila shut her laptop quickly.
"Nothin much."
"Nothin much?"
"Nothin much."
"Thwartin' my plans."
"Thwarting your plans?"
"Are you?"
"No."
"Good cause that'd be bad."
"How bad?"
"I'd have to kill you."
"That's bad."
"Indeed." There was a long pause of Michael just staring with a big grin on his face. "Alrighty then." He said leaving the room. Leila laughed, they were all to good at making jokes/references on the spot. Michael walked back into the room, laughing as hard as he could.
"That was to well timed man! It's al,out like we we're ma-" she stopped when she saw Michael staring out the window. She got up and looked out the window, there was a military hummer with a mounted turret on the top right across the street. The gun man quickly swiveled the turret, pointing the gun at the window.
"Get down!" Michael yelled, the gun started firing as Michael pushed her to the ground. The large caliber rounds passed right through Michael, how ever he didn't seem to be fazed in anyway by the bullets. He killed the gunman and yanked the driver out of the vehicle. The driver slowly went up in flames with the red hot chain around his waist. "Well, that's enough of those motherfu-" he stopped to see Liela laying on the floor. She had a small hole going through her stomach, and she was bleeding a lot. Michael quickly knelt down and inspected her. She opened her eyes a little bit.
"Michael." She whispered. "I love you." She said, slightly slurring her words. She lost consciousness shortly after. Michael checked her pulse, she was still alive, but her condition was critical. Michael had a plan, but he didn't like it.
"I hope she doesn't hate me for doing this." He opened her mouth and started breathing fire into her. The flame was a bright blue, but the smoke coming of it was still black as night. He stopped and collapsed momentarily, he had spent a lot of energy doing that, hopefully it worked. Michael looked at Liela, the bullet hole closed itself as he watched. She suddenly sat upright and took in a gasp of air.
"IM ALIVE?! THANK GOD! AND HOLY SHIT THAT WAS SCARY!" She said. "How the hell did I survive that!? And why do I feel different!?" She asked Michael, she seemed oblivious to the large amount of blood that was soaked into her shirt.
"Ok, now, don't hate me for this. I sort of.... Kind of.... Maybe.... Gave up a part of my soul and turned you into a rider." Liela gasped. "No no no, it was only a small peice! It wasn't like a large fraction of it!" Michael sighed. "Look, I've know you for a while, and you have a strong will. Therefore, the rider won't corrupt you like it did me." 'Uh oh' Michael thought.
"What do you mean 'like it did to you'?" 'Busted' Michael thought. He sighed.
"Look.... My name wasn't always Michael Vendetta, it use to be Richard Garret. I.... Corrupted Richard, and took his body. He was a rider, he absorbed me into himself, but, the rider inside of him became part of his own soul. It left him defenseless against my insanity, I...." He paused, it was clear he was remorseful. "I grew inside him like cancer. I wasn't trying to corrupt him, but my insanity was to much. And now, I have to live everyday with the guilt of knowing that, I practically stole this body, and killed Richard in the process." He said.
"Michael... I...."
"I can understand if you want me to get lost." He said.
"No no... I don't want that!" She sighed. "I believe that you are what remains of Richard, even if Richards passed on. You inhabit his body, and what's more, your using it to do good things! I'm sure he would be proud of you. I mean, he's the reason you exist, he absorbed you and made you into the man you are now. The man that I love." She placed a hand on his cheek. "In a way, he's your father, and I'm sure he never regrets the moment he fused with you." Michael grabbed her hands and held them.
"Leila.... I love you too... Your the only one who excepts the knew me 100%. The others are a little, cautious of me. Like they don't know me at all, and in a way, they don't. But you do... And for that, I will always be by your side. Now I can understand if you want the rider removed from you, it won't kill you to give it up. But it's your choice." Michael said, he smiled.
"I think I'll keep it for a bit, just to see if I like it. If not, then I'll get rid of it. But, I do have a present for you." She said.
"Present? What phhhpppfff!!-" Leila kissed him. She released him to let him breath. "I think I have a present for you, as well." He lead her to the garage and gave her a set of keys. There was a second Honda Magna in the garage, it looked almost exactly like michaels, but it had two name plates riveted to both sides of the gas tank. The plates had the name 'Liela' on them. "Happy birthday." He said, Liela had completely forgotten it was her birthday. She was officially eighteen, old enough to own a motorcycle. She smiled widely.
"Oh Michael!" She kissed him again. "It's beautiful!"
"Hehe, I thought you might want one, since you seemed to like mine so much. Granted, it was Richards, so I could part with MY Magna, but I figured I would get you A Magna." Michael smiled, leaning against the door frame.
"Can we go for a ride?!"
"Sure! Just get some boots on and a leather jacket, you may not be able to die, but that doesn't mean hitting the ground won't hurt." Michael said, smiling softly.
"Ok, Be right back!" She quickly ran up the stairs and came back down. Michael had to admit, even without makeup on, Liela was gorgeous. And her biking outfit was stunning. High heeled Black leather boots, dark blue skinny jeans, a black V-neck T-shirt, and the black leather jacket and gloves. The jacket had a short bottom, and it exposed the midriff area of her T-shirt. "Ready to go?!" She said holding her keys. Michael pulled his keys out and dangled them off of his index finger.
"Ready when you are."
"So... You want me to help you pick out a new motorcycle for the friendship games?"
"Yup." Sunset said cheerfully.
"And you can't use the motorcycle you have for what reason now?" Michael said putting his hands in his pockets.
"Well, my current "bike" isn't really a bike." She said.
"Then what is it?" Michael asked, cocking his head to one side.
"It's a faggio." Sunset braced her self for a laugh, but one never came. Instead there was a sigh, and Michael was pinching the space between his eyes.
"A faggio?" He asked.
"Yep."
"I.... You know what, I'm not gonna get into what's wrong with that. Let's just go get you a new bike." He said.
"Wait, really? I figured you wouldn't want to help after you found out I own a faggio." Michael put a hand over her mouth.
"SSSHHH!!! Not so loud." He said. He removed his hand and signed. "I'm only helping you because you're a friend, and I was planning on getting a new bike. I'm not sure what type I want, but I know it has to be a streetfighter." Sunset raised an eyebrow.
"What's a streetfighter?" She asked.
"It's basically a sportbike, except with out all the fiberglass paneling to make it aerodynamic." He said. "Let's just get going."
The two walked into a Honda dealership, and looked around at the enormous amount of bikes on the show room floor.
"That's a lota bikes." Michael said.
"Yeah..." Sunset gulped. "I don't even know the first thing about picking a new bike!" She said, mouth hung wide open. Michael slowly looked over at sunset, she looked at him for a moment. "What?"
"Really? You don't know step number one?" He said.
"Nope, why."
"You are very shielded aren't you? Well the first step is sitting on it to see if it feels comfortable, once you have that down you judge it on its looks. If you like the feeling but you don't like the look just move on." He said.
"Why would you move on?" Sunset asked, raising one eyebrow.
"Because if you don't like the look of it, your not going to enjoy riding it. All you'll be thinking about is how silly your bike looks." He looked at the first row of sport bikes. Some had the farings, and some didn't. The first bike sunset sat on, was a CBR1000RR. She seemed to like the look, and so far the seat felt nice and soft. Michael sat on one as well, except this one had the farings removed. He liked the feel so far.
"Um, what do we do from here?" She asked.
"We test ride them. Don't worry, I'll pay for the test rides. Let's go talk with the people at the register about test riding these bad boys." Michael said.
They talked with the people at the register and they handed them some forms. Michael filled out the two slips of paper and handed them back to the people at the register. He made sure to include the payment for the test rides. The shop employees put tracking boxes on the bikes and handed them the keys.
"Have fun, but don't do anything stupid." The employee said with a smile. Sunset looked at the plastic box they attached to the forks of the bikes.
"What are these?" She asked.
"Gps tracking devices, they're to make sure no one steals the bikes and gets away with it. Anyway, here is your key." He tossed her the key to the bike, she caught it and put it in the ignition. She pressed the startup button and the bike came to life with a low growl. The shop keepers opened a set of speacial doors that were big enough to fit the bikes through. Michael started his bike and put his helmet on. Sunset put her helmet on and turned on the built in Bluetooth headset. "Can you hear me sunset?" Michael said over the Bluetooth.
"Loud and clear. We ready to roll?" She asked.
"Yup, let's roll." Michael said. They put their kickstands up and gave the bikes the tiniest bit of gas to get the bikes rolling out the large doors. They pulled out of the store and began to pick up speed as they drove off. "I say we take these babies to the local race track, this way we can see what they're made of." Michael said.
"Agreed." Sunset said. They pealed off down the street, zipping by shops and cars alike until they reached the track. They pulled into the unusually empty track and positioned the bikes.
"Alright alright alright, let's open these bitches up." He twisted the throttle and he sped off. Sunset followed shortly after. After only three seconds, they had both shifted the bikes into fifth gear. They both zipped around the first turn. The bikes were now at their maximum speed of 169 miles per hour. They sped down the straight away and pealed around the second turn at top speed. Within moments they were back at the starting line.
"WOOHOO! I think I've found my new bike!" Sunset said. "What about you?"
"Meh, it's fast but I want something with an engine that I can't really feel. I want to be able to feel the vibrations of the engine, I barely felt the engine on this one. I want to be able to feel the power of the engine, this thing seems to be doing this effortlessly." Michael said. "We'll go back and pay for your bike, then you can leave if you want. But I'm gonna look at a few other dealerships to see if they have anything I like."
Sunset decided to go with Michael to these other dealerships after paying for her new bike. They went to places like Kawasaki, Yamaha and Suzuki, but they didn't seem to have enough engine vibration for him. Finally, they went to a Ducati dealership. He looked at all the nice looking bikes, sat on a few, until he came across a black Ducati streetfighter 848 with a red painted frame. He sat on it and he seemed to smile. After another few minutes he was ready to test ride the bike. He pulled out of the dealership and put his helmet on.
"Hey sunset, let's see how fast this baby is compared to your bike." He said.
"Your on!" She said. They took the bikes to the track, and after a 3 lap race, sunset had lost. The bike Michael was test riding could reach a top speed of 200 mph, faster then her new bike. Michael took his helmet of and turned toward sunset with a smug grin on his face.
"What was that you said earlier? You'll never keep up was it? Ah yes, that was it. Well it would appear I just wasted your smug ass." He said with a smile. Sunset gave him a sarcastic smile.
"Are you happy with the bike?" She asked.
"Oh yes, very much. Hehe, come on, let's go pay for this bike."
For Michael, the friendship games were a disaster. Not only did the principle tell him that he couldn't compete last minute, he was stuck on the side lines, sweating amoungst the people in the crowd. He noticed some strange light coming from out front of the school, he got up and went to check it out. He saw the twilight from this world holding something, and a large amount of purple light was coming off of it. It looked like it was getting ready to blow. Michael did the only thing he could think to do. He ran up, grabbed the device and started absorbing the energy. Michaels cries of agony were audible, but he was not visible inside the purple ball of light.
The group of people outside shut their eyes and looked away. They heard the energy disapate, and they heard Michael breathing heavily. The group looked up to see, two michaels. One was different, he had long black hair, and what appeared to be a very detailed full body tattoo of a skeleton on him" His skin was white where the bone was on the tattoo, the eye sockets, nasals and other gaps were colored in with black. He was the one breathing heavily. The other one was looking around, shocked.
"Michael?" Liela said.
"Yeah?" The fully tattoo'ed one said.
"Richard?" Rainbow dash asked.
"Yeah?" The normal one said. The two suddenly looked right at each other. Michaels eyes were now visible, they were black with the exception of the colored parts of the eyes, they were orange."Michael?" Richard asked.
"Richard?" Michael asked.
"The hell happened to you man?" Richard asked, staring at michaels new look.
"Eh, magical shit I don't understand. So how have you been? I mean, I thought you were destroyed!" Michael said.
"Nope, I was always watching what you were doing. I see you have a girl friend, I'm glad it's not rainbow dash cause uh...." He paused. "I've kinda got eyes on her." He whispered. Liela ran up to Michael and looked into his eyes.
"Oh my god your eyes!" She said.
"What about em? Anyone got a mirror?!" One of the girls from crystal prep handed him a mirror. He looked into it. "Holy shit I just scared myself! Damn! Look at my eyes! Look at my eyes.... Look at... My eyes....." He studied his face and other body parts, he chuckled and gave a smile. "I actually don't think it's that bad, I kinda like it. Let me just check to see if it's a full body tattoo or not." He pulled the front of his shirt collar and looked down his shirt. He did the same for his pants, gloves and socks. "Yep, it's a full body tattoo. I've got this skeleton pattern everywhere on my body." He said. He looked over to see that Richard was hugging Rainbow dash, who had run straight up to him.
"Hey, why are you crying Rainbow?" Richard asked.
"I just- *sniff* missed you- *sniff* so much." She said. "I don't ever want to lose you again."
"If it makes you feel better, I need a place to stay because of this. could I stay at your place?" He asked. She released him and looked into his eyes, she hugged him again.
"Yes. Yes! Of course you can!" She said.
Liela and Michael were sitting down together.
"I hope this new look isn't a deal breaker." Michael said.
"Nope, I actually think this is a good look for you. It was shocking at first, but I still love you all the same." She said. Michael kissed her on the forehead and hugged her.
"That's my girl." They were Interrupted by Richard, who was now standing in front of them.
"Hey, I was wondering if I could keep the Harley. You can keep the Magna and the Ducati, but I really love that Harley, so can I have it back?" Richard asked. Michael smiled.
"Sure thing bud, I prefer the Magna anyway." Richard chuckled.
"Yeah, I can tell by how often you ride it. Do you got the keys to the Harley on you?" Michael smiled, let out a sigh, and Rolex his eyes as he reached into his from pocket. His pulled out a key and tossed it to him. "Thanks man. I'll stop by with you to pick up the bike, then I'll be heading to Rainbows house."
"Wait, what about clothes?" Michael asked.
"Well, it's a Friday, so I have a whole weekend to let Rarity make me some new clothes. So, I'm covered."
"Great to hear it man. Now if you don't mind, I would like some alone time with my lady." He said. Richard just nodded and walked back toward the group of girls, while Michael and Liela just sat there in relaxation.
November 2, 2012. Richards current age: 15
Richard walked down the steps leading to his garage. Richard lived with his parents at this time, and his bed room was in their garage. Richard sat on the edge of his bed, tears streaming down his face. He didn't make a sound as the tears fell from his eyes. His parents weren't home, but he just wanted some quiet. Richard was left all alone since his friend committed suicide, they were both bullied in school and his friend jake decided he couldn't take it anymore. Jake had popped his fathers pistol into his mouth and ended his life a few weeks prior to this current period in time. Richard pulled an old rope out from under his bed, he tied it to a hook in his ceiling and turned the other end into a loop. He was finishing the loop when he heard someone speak.
"Hey kid." A ruff voice said. Richard jumped a bit, half expecting it to be one of his parents. But it didn't sound like anyone he knew. He looked over to see an old man stand in the middle of the room, he was holding a cane with a silver skull on the top of it. The man had a slight smirk on his face.
"Who the fuck are you? And why the hell are you in here?" Richard asked.
"Who I am, is not important." He looked at Richards Harley. "Nice ride. But what is important, is what I can do for you."
"What you can do for me?" Richard repeated.
"What if I told you, there was a way to get to jerks to stop messing with you? To get, justice, for what they've done to you, and your friend." The man said. Richard chuckled a bit and put his hands in his jacket pockets.
"Oh really? And how is it you plan to do that?" Richard asked. The man smirked a bit more, he pulled a packet of paper out.
"Just sign this document, and leave the rest to me kid." He said. Richard looked at the paper and shrugged.
"I don't have a pen." Richard said.
"Well, the contract can also be signed... In blood. Even just a tiny drop will do." The man said. Richard looked over at his desk, there sat his two metal chains, each one had a sharpened hook on it. he would normally use the hooks to help hold his bike down on the flat bed of a truck, but they had a different purpose now. Rich slowly approached the table, his heart rate increasing with each step. He grasped the bottom of the hook in his right hand, and used the hook to prick his thumb on his left hand. He put the chain down, and walked over to the man. He was still holding the packet out with a grin on his face. Richard pushed his thumb down onto the paper and pulled his hand away.
The man smiled and rolled the packet up, he placed it inside his jacket and extended his hand as if to shake. Richard took the mans hand, and when he did, he got really hot. His skin started to smoke and burn away.
"What did you do to me!" He said in pain, one of Richard eye sockets was already an empty black pit. Richards voice was already changing a bit from the transformation process.
"I'm turning you, into your means of revenge. You made the deal, after all." The man chuckled.
"You! Didn't tell me that this would happen!" Richard said, his voice was now demonic, and his skin was gone, revealing a charcoal black skull. A thick plume of black smoke was coming off of his skeleton. The metal studs on the shoulders of his jacket turned into six sharp spikes. "Change me back!" The man stopped laughing for a second.
"Hmmm... No." He said, he began laughing again. Richard lunged at him, but he disappeared. Richard put the chains he was carrying into his pockets. He burst into flames and let out a demonic roar. The garage door opened, and there stood Richards father and mother. Richard managed to get one thing out in his final minutes of control over his body.
"Help me." He said quietly. Richards parents looked at him in disgust.
"Richard!? What did you do!?" His father said.
"I.. Made a deal." He said.
"A deal with who, the devil?!" His father said.
"I... I guess." He said he said slowly.
"Richard, this is the last straw! Get out! And don't come back!" His father yelled.
"But... I."
"Out!" He screamed. Richard stumbled back a few steps at his fathers sudden volume. He quickly got on his bike and drove off. Richard felt like he had just died inside. Halfway down the block Richard lost control of his body, and something else took control. It was heading right for its first targets, Richards bullies. There was a school dance that night, and they all were going. The spirit possessing Richard stopped In front of the school, he got off the bike and started walking towards the building. He kicked in the front door and walked toward the gymnasium. He pulled the chains from his pockets and dragged them behind him. He walked through the gym doors after throwing a door man through them. The music stopped and everyone looked at Richard, or rather, what Richard was now. The spirit spotted one of the bullies, He pointed at the boy.
"McLain." He said. The boy looked at him with his eyes squinted.
"Garret?" He said. The spirit swung the chain in his right hand, the chain wrapped around McLain's body. The spirit pulled McLain off his feet and dragged him to it. He spirit picked the boy up the the shirt collar.
"Your constant teasing lead to the death of Jacob Flare, for this you must be punished." The spirit said.
"Punished how?!" McLain said nervously.
"Look into my eyes! Your soul is stained by the blood of the innocent! feel their pain!" As the boy started to scream, the spirit laughed demonically. The boy disintegrated and the thing stop laughing. It looked at all the people who had wronged Richard and jake. from Richard perspective, everything went silent after the death of the first boy. The thing started swinging it's chains around, instantly torching all who had done wrong against Richard. From the things perspective, there was screaming, foot steps and the sounds of clanking metal. But Richards world was still silent out of pure shock. He was a prisoner in his own body, forced to watch as its possesser killed people without mercy. After all the bullies were dead, the thing turned and left the building.
It traveled to the nearby town of canterlot before it stopped its bike and got off. The sun was coming up, and it was transforming back into Richard. After a painful transformation, Richard fell unconscious into the soft grass of canterlot high schools front lawn.
