Celestia took a deep breath. Chrysalis had been sitting in the dungeon for weeks now. She couldn't avoid feeding the monstrosity forever, and letting her rot felt wasteful and cruel.

Celestia applied her lipstick carefully. She let magic seep into her lips as she did so. She did it every morning, to help maintain her royal appearance. The amount of raw magic was larger today. Her lips tingled.

She pulled out the page in her desk. Notes had been crammed onto every surface about the fake memories she had crafted. She took another deep breath, longer and louder than the first. There was nothing for it. Today she would "rehabilitate" Chrysalis. Tartarus forgive her.
