Many believe the place we call home is always going to be happy and cheery, it's not what it seems as for Nix, especially since after his little sister Adrastersa was born things changed almost instantly as his father had become more angrier and disappointed with Nix. Nix's Mother and Father would often fight whenever Nix was or wasn't around even when in and out of public. Nix would sometimes not come home and slept over at a friend's or just slept outside to get away from the fighting.

Nix then was burdened with not only trauma but nightmares after being beaten by his father one day, Nix wanted to start looking after his little sister to make sure the same didn't happen to her. Every time their parents started fighting Nix tried to do everything in his power to keep it all a secret from his sister. Sometimes Nix even tried standing up to his father, and it left him with a broken wing, many bruises, some trauma, and trip to the hospital.
