The Spark

It has been a year since Jason last trained with the assassin. Before the two of them could meet up for Jason's final lesson, the assassin was shot and killed. The man who killed him used a sniper, the assassin never saw the attack coming. That didn't stop Jason from fighting his hardest, and saving lives. He had gotten word that there was a car crash on the bridge that led out of the city. When Jason got there, he saw a car that was teetering on the edge of the bridge. Jason shot his grappling hook into the car and started pulling, he was succeeding at get the vehicle up. But a metal support gave way and the car fell over the edge, luckily Jason still had the car. He was pulling with all of his strength. There was a sharp piece of metal sticking up from the bridge, the ground was wet and slippery. Jason slid for a foot and stopped, the sudden stop caused him to fall forward. Jason had been impaled onto the sharp piece of metal. Jason screamed in pain, he wrenched himself off of the metal and continued pulling. He was in a lot of pain, but that didn't stop him. He pulled the car up onto the bridge and ripped the car doors off, inside was a man, a women and three children. Jason pulled his mask off.

"Are you... Ok?" He said between gasps.

"Yeah, we're fine." The man said. Jason nodded his head and stumbled off, he leaned against wrecked cars and other things to help him walk. Eventually he collapsed and lost consciousness. People were being held back by police officers as the emergency crew were checking everyone. Rainbow was in front of the crowd.

"Hey, did anyone see who The Predator is?" One man said.

"Yeah, he's some kid." Another said.

"Oh my god, is he gonna be alright?!" A women said.

"We don't know, I think he might be hurt really bad." Said the first man. Rainbow dash got a clear look at The Predators face, it was Jason. Rainbow rushed forward, only to be stopped by some officers.

"Ma'am you can't come through here." An officer said.

"That's my boyfriend!" Rainbow shrieked. The officers let her pass and she ran up to Jason. "Jason! Jason look at me!" She shouted. Jason's eyes opened slightly, they looked right into Rainbows. He gave a small smile, he was tearing up.

"Rainbow, I'm sorry. I'm sorr-" Jason stopped mid sentence and closed his eyes, he gave one short breath and then nothing. Rainbow shook him, trying to wake him up.

"Jason. Jason! JASON! Why Jason! Why!" She cried. In the background she heard one of the people from before talking.

"Poor girl." It was the women.

"That kid gavehis life to save us. I don't care what you say, that's a true hero. What did she say his name was again?" The man said.

"His name was Jason." Rainbow said quietly.

"Huh? I think she just said it, shhh, everyone quiet! What's his name?" The man asked.

"His name was Jason Carloan!" She said loud enough for everyone to hear. "He was a kind hearted person, a genius, and most of all.... My boyfriend. We had plans to get married once he turned eighteen. we were both minors when we started dating. I'm not a minor anymore but he still was." Rainbow started sobbing. "He only just recently turned seventeen and... For his birthday we went to a nice restaurant where he... Proposed to me." She said through her sobs. She looked over at the people, they all slowly took their hats off and held them to their chest. Even the officers took off their hats.

"Aw hell, we should do something to remember him. Maybe we should build a statue in town square. Anyone got any final words to say?" The first man asked.

"He was a great hero. He risked loosing his true love, his friends, and his family, all to protect us. And-" the man was stopped by an ambulance worker who handed him a piece of paper.

"We found this in his hand." The medic said. The man opened the paper.

"Here is his will and final statement. I will read the letter he wrote first." The man cleared his throat. "Rainbow dash, I've been a hero for a long time by now. I want you to know that I love you more then anything, even if I put myself in mortal danger everyday. It makes me appreciate everything I have, so much more. I became a hero because I had witnessed two crimes being committed, and both of the people envoy end got away with it. The first one was a hit and run, I used to have an older brother. He was my best friend for the longest time, but I dropped my toy in the street so he ran to get it. The light was still red so no one should have been going though the intersection. A guy was texting and driving so he ran the light. He hit my brother and stopped for a second, he looked out his window and saw what he had done. He put the pedal to the metal and sped off, leaving my brother to die. He died in my arms, I was sobbing the whole time. The second crime was an attempted murder. that guy stabbed you in the stomach and I got the same helpless feeling from my brothers death. I couldn't take that anymore, so I forged a plan to fight crime. I made the suit and the gear and just started fighting people. I wasn't very good so the assassin trained me, I became the hero everyone knows me to be. The rest is history.

I want you to have my apartment Rainbow. You deserved so much better than me and yet you stayed. The last thing I'll say is, I love the people of canterlot city. But I love you the most Rainbow dash, I always will.

Signed, Jason Carloan." The man hand Rainbow dash the paper. Everyone was tearing up. As Rainbow dash red the will, she noticed that a large portion of Jason's things were going to her. She began to cry. he really did love her, and he was going to spoil her even after he was dead.

Rainbow dash walked into her new apartment, she notice a picture of Jason on the table near the couch. She planted a kiss on her fingers and place them on Jason's image. At the bottom right hand corner of the image, there were four words written in cursive.
