He's a steed robust, but not bulky, twice taller than Luna. So as he urged, handing down a deep-black, ponderous necklace, to the young, 'yet to be princess' Luna. "Why now? Why giving it to me??" despite her childlike shriek, Luna was awfully aware that he needed it more than herself. "You're the horse about to go into battles, not me!" said Luna. "Also, that's no necklace, it's just your oversized wristband." But the stallion just responded with a faint smile and shrug, then continued to strap the thing onto Luna's slender neck. "It's a gift, a protection I must give to you, Luna," he explained. "A token of my gratitude...for owing my life to you." "I didn't give you that core of my HeartStar for any jewelry or accessories," Luna whispered, "I do it because I cherish you." "It's just something anypony would choose to do if possible, back then me and Tia just felt ... can't bear watching you sacrifice..." "I know...I can feel that emotion right here, just now!" he replied, pointing to his own chest, "that's why I'm giving this to you." "Now that we are connected this way, I have to do everything I can to help protecting you, otherwise my heart will never be at peace." "...but how is a necklace gonna protect me anyway?" Luna still not buying, "I mean, it's just necklace, not an armor you know~" "THIS is made of OBSIDIAN" the stallion looked back at her inquiring eyes, "it's a black, igneous, glass-like material formed in volcanos, not only is it dense solid yet still kinda flexible, it could also absorb & nullify lots of malicious spell and dark magic!" caressing the necklace while he said this."Luna. you and Tia will soon face Discord in no time, trust me, wear this, for your safety...and my relief,please..." he pleaded. Luna looked down once again at the necklace, the cold and smooth feeling to her hooves touch...gave her little faith. "Razor...none of this would matter if you don't make it back..." Luna threw an almost-begging eye back at him. "Please Razor...can't you just...don't go? Can't you stay with us once more?? Me and Tia might need your help to defeat Discord also!" After almost crying out this sentence, Luna broke into a cuddle, leaning onto Razor's shoulder. "plz...be my escort fellow big brother again and don't leave me...okay?" said her, wiping her tears on his chest. Came no response from the Stallion named Razor Flare, he just gently patted Luna and caressed her mane, giving out his quiet comfort for this brief, but unforgettable, farewell moment. "Luna, you and I both know we have our own mission to do, I HAVE TO GO, to serve as a diversion then you & Tia can have a chance to approach and confront Discord. For Equestria and future of us ponies, we have to do this..." Razor patiently said, even if he knew there's no guarantee of coming back alive... For Equestria... but an Equestria without you is meaningless to me... is equally miserable as it is now... Luna couldn't help to have this desperate thought, loud inside her mind, but remain silently depressive on the outside. Razor closed in and make their nose touch, snuggling a bit. "Luna, sometimes we have to have faith, to move on and stay strong." Though his own voice was shaking too, but not because of any fear. "Star Swirl the Bearded trust you two sisters can do it, and so we trust you too, all of us." said this with much of his pride for Luna, "Trust yourself, have your faith, for me?" coaxed when they gaze into each other. "...then can I believe in you coming back?" Luna asked back, "I need your promise, I need it to stay courageous in my heart." she pleaded. "Yes! Yes my little cutie~"Razor nodded right away. "I'll give out all my might to survive so I can come back to give you a big hug!!" he bursted out warmly, breaking the gloom. "You have my word small princess~ count on it." and he gave Luna a gentle pat. "So we promised! buuuuut I don't want to wait for the hug." said a cheered-up Luna, crashing into another hug into Razor. "Deal?" Luna whispered to his ear while snuggling the hug. "Deal." Razor snuggled back, with much faith. HWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONK!!!! But a cruelly loud battle horn broke this precious moment... and it's the sign of enemy arrival... as well as the parting way of the two... "I must go." Razor reacted instinctively &quickly, giving Luna his last hug-pat,"Remember! have faith!!" and off he dashed. All Luna can tell in the next 10 seconds... is that tall, azure and swift silhouette of Razor, charging downhills and vanishing in the battle dust. It's also the only last thing she remembered of him ever after...... ......But you never returned, never to be seen again...... Waking up from this dream, Luna(as in real life) slowly open her emerald eyes, trying to ignore the tears caused by this memory dream. Unconsciously stroking her chest...the place where she gave out the HeartStar core still feels empty, lonely and void. Can't really say you broke your promise Razor...I believe you did gave all you can...but in result, you were a liar... Enduring all the agony, Luna reach for the obsidian necklace somewhere from the bedside. - a token complexed with emotions and memories, making it a heavy burden...in more than one way. Author's Note just a prologue chapter about Luna's necklace ;) Razor Flare is the main OC in this series, I'll detail him later ;) Chapter One - The Omitted Dark PastWith a poof sound of magic, Twilight Sparkle appeared in front of the hall gate of Canterlot royal castle. (with her teleportation spell of course) "Hi~I'm here to visit princess Celestia, can you lead me to where she is ?" Twilight politely asked the guards at the door's right. "Of course! your highness~ princess Celestia happens to be in the main hall right now, please come in." and so he opened the door behind him, gesturing the allowance of entry. "Thank you, wish you a nice day!" greeted Twilight. The guard replied with a gentle smile and watched her in, then closed the door immediately, resuming position. "Twilight~! What brings you all the way here~?" Celestia called with surprise and delight when she saw Twilight came in, though there's quite a distance from her throne all the way down do the entrance, the favorite student's presence is still familiarly recognizable. "Well...just some tiny teeny little problems I found in my history studying." said twilight, "not really a big deal." "But still, I assume it's somewhat important? Because I can't even remember the last time you consult me about your studying. " Celestia asked back. It's true, Twilight seldom need her assistance in pony since...probably her 4th grade? "Um...well...it's a bit involved in this year's Hearth's Warming Eve but not really that formally... it's just that I felt hard to express this problem in letter properly, and that's why I'm here. " Twilight explained herself in a bit of embarrassment, for she hasn't done this for years. "Don't be nervous Twi, I don't mind it at all," Celestia gave back an encouraging smile while she gracefully trod downstairs from the throne. "In fact I would love you to visit me more often~after all, teleportation spell DO saves WAY lots more time than writing letters, right?" finishing this observation at perfect timing upon her last step downstairs, "not to mention I can see you more often~" then they snuggled for greetings. "I miss you too princess, " Twilight agreed passionately in the snuggle, " been so busy lately I don't have time to drop by here." Laughter occupies the two for a moment, for they really enjoyed this brief reunion. "So, back to the point, you just mentioned something about history problems about Hearth's Warming Eve?" Celestia quoted, "what is it that concerns you?" with a curious look. "Yes! Well it's my turn to be the director of the festival drama this year, so I was referencing scripts to the actual historybooks and..." "Twilight," Celestia had to interrupt her, "'it's still summer though, yet you're already onto events on December ? so soon ??" "I know I know~ it's still 6 months later~ just doing some pre-process check in my free time lately, not overworking~" Twilight ensured. "Then?" And now Celestia is a bit of confused, because Twilight IS acting kinda nervous...for no reason obvious enough for her to tell. "Then I found some completely blank years in the corresponding chronicles, and I can't found any documents or historical records about them, although that won't suggest or change anything about the script but still I just can't let it go as a scholar myself and (blah blah blah)..." "Calm down Twilight," Celestia had to break her hysteria, Twilight 's talking too fast to even keep up, so fast it's kind of monologue. "Speak gently, slowly and simply, forget those routine trivia of yours, what are the 'blank years' you were talking about??" said Celestia. Twilight took a deep breath, looking up to search for Celestia' s caring eyes, then she started, tongue with much relief : "The historical fact that our drama script based on is, Chancellor Puddinghead, Commander Hurricane and Princess Platinum reconciled after all the windigos incident, and this happened at year 495 of the Third Era, right? " paused for Celestia' s confirm. "Yeah, you recalled it pretty well Twilight, it was 495.3E. so as I remembered~"Celestia nodded, "go on. " Twilight continues her question: "It's said after the Fire of Friendship is born, the three tribes decided to name this land Equestria and share it as their one united nation. this is also true, right? " Twilight received another nod from Celestia, only this time she seemed a bit disturbed... "Okay~ but then this must be somehow strange to The Journal of The Two Sisters, which you and Luna authored of course." "It clearly stated AFTER Star Swirl the Bearded entrust the royal duties about Sun and Moon to you and Luna, making both of you enthroned, then our Fourth Era started."Twilight concluded, "That leaves a total 5 years blank between the decision & naming of Equestria to actually establishing it! Also, how come it started as if we'll have Republics, but ended up having our Empires nowadays??" Finally spitting out all that been clouding her, Twilight felt hugely at ease...only until she found Celestia in the complete opposite. ...She even sat down on the floor, her face no longer gentle nor warm like earlier. Instead, princess Celestia gazed at Twilight with eyes full of sorrow, grief and somewhat...pained emotions? At least that's all Twilight can felt... "Huhh...." sighed Celestia, "I knew this day will come ever since you become a princess Twilight... but I never thought it's going to be sooo far sooner than I had expected...way, WAY SOONER than I had in mind, frankly... Your sophistication owed me Twilight...once again..." Neither had Twilight expected this kind of reaction from Celestia, she thought about many possible ones, but not including this one. Celestia's voice became so flat and cold, as if she's trying to withhold emotions in, or avoiding any thought about what she said. Turning around, she murmured a spell and cast a circular magical window floating in the thin air...much like a portal. "Luna? Are you awake?? We have some royally-serious problem." Celestia called while looking through the window. As much as Twilight can see, the other side of this window is a dim room, with little glimmer shot between some curtain gaps. Then there comes Luna, obviously she's approaching form corners of this room which the window can not cover. "What's the matter sister? You haven't woken me up this way for a long time...(yawn)" Luna mumbled, hoof-robbing her eyes, She's clearly just waken up, sounds still blurred, with some fuzzy coat and typical morning mane to show so. "Twilight is here, she...she noticed the lost part in chronicles..." the big princess speaks unemotionally. "What?!" Luna's eyes shot wide open quickly, telling much surprise she's in. "How come now...how so fast..." but she's not in panick. "You know what we have to do, meet us in the royal library in 10 minutes." Despite not fully back from her shock, Luna approved, "Also, clear it out with anypony and express my sorry to the librarian...for this inconvenience, that's all." Celestia finished, then close the magic window and turn back to face a totally confused Twilight, giving out a chilling vibe. "Follw me Twilight, I know where to find your answer...if you are sure you really want to know..." With that said, Celestia turn back again and trot away at once, leaving Twilight freezed from deciding if to follow or not... Author's Note We are closing up to the core of my story Next chapter will be much pacier Chapter Two - A Minority History Book Chapter Two - A Minority History Book "Wait! What did you mean by that?! Princess Celestia! Wait!" yelled Twilight as she was trying hard to catch up with the big princess, Celestia' s 'normal' step is far wider than anypony else...as long as she walks in her normal, comfortable pace. so she's been slowing down for me all the time? That's how fast she normally walks? "Is the history I learned from the books not real? How could that..."Twilight asked yet another question as she can finally tag along behind. "No, Twilight, Of course not..." Celestia glanced back at her and said, "Otherwise it would mean I'm making up stories and lying in historybooks ,which is totally unacceptable," concluded so as she turn her head back forward, as if disgusted by this very thought. "Things you know DID actually happened, Twilight, I assure you." Celestia pat herself in the chest, "It's just that they are more like...an overview, a form of simplified summary of those harsh years, that unrelentingly long winter..." slight tremble in her voice was noticeable. "But...why? you mean there's details left out? Why is that?" Twilight questioned with confusion. "Because we have to." Celestia didn't even hesitate, "It hadn't been this way at first, but these...'details' you're referring to, was simply too disturbing, inconveniently uncomfortable and heart-breaking," sighed Celestia, "Our pony citizens didn't even want to be reminded of their sufferings back then, few even dare to watch it...so we moved those materials out, kept them elsewhere." They arrived at the library. "Which I will show you now. Since you've asked, then it's my responsibility to let you know." She paused in front of the library door, Luna is already here, waiting for the two. "Sister, we only have 45 minutes, that's the best bargain I could get us." Luna reported with anxiety, "The librarian was...well, stubborn." "It's okay, long enough for Twilight, I think," Celestia affirmed, "Our librarians being brick-headed is just normal...no offense, Twilight." "Let's get started then" Luna leaded on as she opened the door, "Thankfully there was only 3 ponies when I brought up the demand." They entered, and the three walked all the way into the library lobby, until Celestia and Luna stopped. "So? What do we do now?" "To the secret chamber display room." Celestia replied to Twilight as Luna preparing some form of spell between them. "You don't expect to find some hidden info on any of these shelves, do you? If that's possible, you won't even come visit me today." With that claim from Celestia, Luna began unleashing her magic, "Stay still and close to me. " said so as her horn raised up and glowed. "Eth - Inv - Ent" !! Luna chanted this strange spell, a whirl of wind gust correspondingly appeared and surrounded them. But Twilight felt not chill, but an afloat sensation, down her spine and to the whole body, as the magical pale-blue wind blew through her. "Wha...What's happening? I've never heard a spell like that!" Twilight slightly panicked because she find herself floating up slowly... And they somehow WENT THROUGH THE CEILING while this occurred...which made Twilight feel even more nervous. "We need to get into temporary spiritual forms to get into the chamber, that's where we store the book." Celestia explained, "The spell you just heard is the abbreviate of Ethereal Invisible Entry," Luna added, "I invented it, you can try to learn it if you want~" "Right...spiritual form...no wonder I feel like a ghost..."Twilight mumbled inspecting her semitransparent self. Can't even touch hooves. Then their heads surfaced out of some floor. Apparently they're here.the chamber...for what? Twilight wonders inside herself. "That's it, we can change back now." Luna undo the spell exactly when their feet all get out of the floor, perfect timing. Twilight looked around and observed the place a bit, and shivered...out of the uncomfortable fact that there's no way out. "This room IS a chamber, isn't it?...I mean there's no door, not even a window, nothing! Just...six stone walls." Twilight felt trapped. "Yes and we're so sorry about having to make it this way, the walls are cast with ventilation spells so breathe in ease." said Luna. Celestia lighted up some magic spheres afloat, sending them to corners for illumination, and now they can see better. It's actually kind of a empty room, with only three bookshelves on three walls each, a glass showcase in the center of the room, and lastly, a crystal ball secured on the floor with a base, it's so tall that its globe centre roughly leveled with Twilight's eyes. "Is that...is that what I think it is? A Palantir??" Twilight couldn't help but ask, "No it's just a memory storage globe."answered Celestia. "Oh...stupid me I guess,"Twilight facehooved herself. what am i thinking?! all Palantirs were destroyed long times ago!! I knew that... "Still, you might have the chance to use it later, if you chooses to, now come here." Celestia and Luna walked toward the showcase. Twilight followed them to the showcase, seeing nothing but small piles of books inside. Through the glass it is visible that there's about 20~30 books in total. And, though they don't all look exactly alike, their size, thickness and dustiness are pretty much the same. "The number of books here, Twilight, represents how many ponies have had the same inquiry as yours. " Luna muttered aside. "Oh~that's some relief! knowing I'm not the only pony...wait," Twilight paused at a second thought of this, "you mean...EVER??" "Only 24 ponies ever came in here in all these 1,000 years? Yes." Celestia replied firmly. "Counting you in, that makes it 25 until today." "By the way, the last one was Cadence, if you want to know." Luna whispered to Twilight's ear once again, and shocked her again... Celestia then opened the case, take out one of the books, cleaned off dust on it, then handed it to Twilight. Gazing at its cover a bit, she saw: "The War Against the Winter - If only we had stood up earlier"recited Twilight the book's title, a bit difficult for there's much peeling on it. "...authored by...you two & Starswirl the Bearded??" She looked at the other two alicorns in disbelief, "...And there was a war ?!?!" Luna: "Of course there was war going on... ponies were starving & frozen to death, in massive numbers, how can a war not happening?" "But we were lucky though, the actual war wasn't really between the 3 tribes, it was something else." Luna rolled her eyes a bit. Celestia: "At the beginning this is only between the three of us, since we had spent so many years to finish it. " her sigh so unignorable. "By the time we thought it's finally time to publish it," sigh yet again, "It was too late... Long after peace and harmony back to us." "After all, who would want to believe that Pegasus, Earth ponies and Unicorns had been once on the brink of civil war, way after THE FIRE OF FRIENDSHIP has brought us together so closely for so many years??" Celestia shut her eyes and shook her head. Luna:"Twilight, you must understand, we ponies are naturally peace-loving races," she turned around and face Twilight straight, "For too long we had been avoiding all those cruelty and brutality happened in this... 'tragedy' that ended the last era." Celestia:"And the crowds...all our surviving subjects, were equally unwilling to remember this," said so as she pointed to the book, "pretty much just like we never had the chance to tell the whole story to the public, since...well, maybe Equestria' s founding." Twilight could not speak even a word, it took her a long while to catch up on all these info, and all the doubt following. "But, what went wrong? I don't understand... how can publishing a book possibly be anywhere bad?" Of course she can't, she loves books. "In the first year we published it and introduced it to the public libraries, schools and all sorts of historical festivals,"Luna paused a bit to recall, "foals and fillies were having thrice as much nightmares, almost exhausting me to the bones, that's how I remembered it~" "And it wasn't any better for the adults either," Celestia continued, "Many came to the old castle to seek my consolation, teachers and parents complaining about difficulty to guide kids through this, and a whole lot of surviving poor old veterans' PTSD triggered." "So yeah...pretty much every single aspect you can think of, went wrong big time." Celestia said so with much frustration, sitting down. "That's how failed this book was, a little lesson for you young princess," Luna sadly agreed, "if we don't face our dark past right away, everybody will forget about it so quickly, that we won't have any chance to get them brave enough to remember it again." she also sat. "We learned this the hard way." Admitted Celestia, "So we retracted all the copies back, obliterated them all and never print any again." "But we kept the original drafts and compiled them, that's one copy for each author and thus 3 books, only for collection." Twilight: "...And let me guess, that was how you decided to use copy numbers to represents how many willing to know all these?" "Clever observation, Twilight." Celestia gave her a nod, "I and Luna had an consensus with Starswirl before he must left us, that is, just like you having the right to know all this, our subjects also have the right 'not to know' all this horror. " She sighed yet again. "Not to mention it was mostly our fault," added Luna, "We procrastinated too long... for such important stuff. Can't blame anypony else." "Sad as it is, but this dilemma will only stiffen itself as time flies by, Starswirl had warned us about this...and it's true." Celestia murmured. "Just...HOW DARK IS THIS BOOK REALLY ?!" Twilight stopped their depressing conversation with her raised volume. Actually Twilight was a bit angry at this point, all the question she asked had only fed back more ... confusion. Celestia: "Why don't you see it yourself? But of course not here, we only have like...20 minutes left. Just take the book home." Luna: "But remember Twilight, the tracking method we mentioned still applies," Luna reminded her, "How many books here represents how many ponies have known the truth, and thus..." "I have to transcribe it down and return with another copy, am I right?" said Twi. "Yes, and with your name as a 'copiste' on it, just for documentary purpose. " Luna pointed out, "at the last page of your copy." "See ~ she's smart, I told you 45 minutes is well enough." Celestia said so and got up, seemingly ready to leave. But not so for Twilight. She opened the book for some brief view on contents or outlines thingy, only to see the dedication page first. "This book is dedicated to Razor Flare, Barklin Timbercoat and Aelion Flamewing, the three front line generals who united us to fight our real enemy. " Celestia and Luna almost instantly froze and stop anything they were doing upon hearing Twilight reading those names out loud. "Who are they? I've never heard of these names...Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, were they some friends of yours??" The two princesses exchanged a look, a very subtle look, as if silently saying "How should we tell her???" and they both act weird... "We'll tell you later...but first let's get out, running out of time already." With the perfect excuse to brush Twilight off , Celestia put off the light and urged Luna to cast them off the room. Eth - Inv - Exi !! and everything back to silence. Author's Note Sorry for the cliffhanging, but too many words for this ch already :o All comments and critics are welcomed CH3. won't be so much dialogue heavy. Chapter Three - The Battle Ponies meets the Wizard PonyThe land of Equestria was not found all the way till the winter ghost uprising... It had been found and explored way before that...by a group of forsaken ponies. They were known as many different names in each pony tribe. The Formidable Hybrid, Self Nomadic Herds, The Striding Outcasts... But in the common tongue with which earth ponies, unicorns and pegasus all communicated, they were recognized in one simple name: THE BATTLE PONIES, the warhorse master race among all the ponies known to this world. Commander Hurricane may boast his comrade pegasi as natural warriors as he like, but pegasi only fight when it's necessary. Earth ponies won't sort to any form of conflict unless both communication and negotiation fail, and let alone the peaceful unicorns. But only battle ponies are the true instinctive fighting steeds, they don't fight for food, property or fame, nor any kind of benefit. They fight, for honor, values they hold faith in, and for questioning, inquiries about what is truly worth fighting for, in their life. No, they're not the battle crazy berserk as you might picture them to be, but rather, they are more like born soldiers, and natural adventurers. Instead of cozy shelter, Battle Ponies prefer to brave through in the wild and live a simple, but much more primitive life. In all the preceding 400 years of peaceful ages, Third Era hadn't been able to witness even one single birth of Battle ponies. Not only because cross-tribe marriage between the three pony kinds were still rare, but also, even there were such uncommon family, their baby would only be born as either kind of their parents. "The Hybrid" would not really occur at individual level...unless, and until, a brewing crisis is near. The Race of Battle Pony hadn't just risen as a coincidence...they came to this pony world at the time of need, desperation and great change. But what their exact destiny is ? remain unknown for 95 years to any pony, until...an old unicorn wizard came along. -------------------------------------------------------- "There you are!" said an approaching old unicorn propping his staff towards a herd of ponies lying around, loosely together. "Why in all, do you blade rangers pony have to travel so much EVERY SINGLE WEEK? I mean, you don't even have any directions or destinations do you??" complained the old one, trying really hard to catch his breath while doing so, with really frustrated expressions. "If you foals are just loving wandering, why bother go so far?? I was expecting to find you somewhere around north border but it took me A WHOLE DAY to finally find you here!! in some bloody wasteland around the west plan field, which is...NOWHERE!!" cursed the unicorn."Now explain yourself Razor Flare!! why do you make an elder search for you so hard yet I informed you my visit 2 days ago ?!" "Urrhhhh..." And so one of these ponies finally reacted upon hearing his own name, getting up and trotting slowly yet looking impatiently uninterested at all. As a matter of size, you might not even consider him as a 'pony', for he's roughly half-time taller, bigger and wider compared to the unicorn wizard in front of him. Sound of heavy steps emitted from his light-azure body, he sure is giant to a pony... "Because I've told you already, old beard. don't even bother to find me!! We just didn't wanna stay there at all." rolling his silver eyes. "Yeah we came to that small north village only to trade some goods, that's all, we come, we trade, we leave, problem?" said one of Razor's companions behind, agreeing with him. "We just come and leave, that's how we live, we're wandering Rangers, you know that, beard." Referring back to whoever said this, Razor give a look that his point is proved, and shrug a bit to play innocent and unintentional. "First of all, could you foals show some respect and don't just call me 'beard'?" The unicorn snorted, "The name is Star Swirl !! " "I might suddenly get into the mood to shave someday you know~! what will you call me then?" he yelled to this crowd in the background with a bit of an protesting attitude, which only received some unbelieving laughter...Everypony know StarSwirl won't shave... "And secondly, I knew very well you are just a bunch of over-energetic steeds that loves galloping, but just why are you fleeing when I have clearly said that I had something to discuss with you, what?Razor?? Does that mean you start hiding from even an old friend ? I just don't understand...How hard could it be, to wait a few days for an old, slow horse like...well, me? " Star Swirl paused and shook his walking stick a bit to remind. The pony named Razor Flare sighed and facehooved himself. "It's not anything personal to you, my old friend, trust me." Said so as giving Starswirl a brief hug of brotherly welcome. "It's just that we...really don't feel comfortable around those normal communities." he sat. "We, are OUTCAST, maybe not banished, but certainly not suited for any of the major societies either, that's all. WE JUST DON'T FIT." "And that, is also why I came here." Starswirl replied with a slight smile, "What coincidence! was going to bring up good news about this." "I know pretty well that we can't force you 'battle rangers' into our world, but we actually don't have to do that to change something." The old unicorn turned back to view the beautifully vast golden bliss as the sun is about to dusk, ending this exhausting day for him. "...Well? to change what? don't just stop there~" Razor sometimes really hated this cliffhanging of him, can't hold it so much, that even his act of drinking from his bottles was annoying. So he is interested after all...this is a sign...that they are not contented with the current situations either...A GOOD SIGN. *gulp *gulp *gulp "Ahr..." Starswirl finished his water and turned back to Razor, this time with a bigger smile. "I' ll tell you more details later~but first, where would you camp for the night? I definitely need some warm and bright campfire." "What...? No,No, we only set fire for nights in winter, it's just autumn now, and we don't really camp, just lay on the grass and sleep!" This time, it is Starswirl who rolled his eyes. NOT BARBARIAN, I KNOW...BUT CERTAINLY TOO B*CKING PRIMITIVE TO ME...!! "Fine, can I at least get a tent?? That's the best an old unicorn can do to survive the wild, and it's not like unicorns are good at this!" Author's Note This chapter could be seen as Star Swirl the Bearded 's memory written in The War against the winter the term Blade Ranger is one of the three kinds of battle ponies, it is the hybrid of pegasus and earth ponies, the two remaining is coming soon All comments are welcome :)
Chapter Zero - Memory Dream of a FarewellThe Necklace "Here, put this on" gently said a stallion, with his thick, magnetic voice. He's a steed robust, but not bulky, twice taller than Luna. So as he urged, handing down a deep-black, ponderous necklace, to the young, 'yet to be princess' Luna. "Why now? "I didn't give you that core of my HeartStar for any jewelry or accessories," Luna whispered, "I do it because I cherish you." "It's just something anypony would choose to do if possible, back then me and Tia just felt ... can't bear watching you sacrifice..." "I know...I can feel that emotion right here, just now!" he replied, pointing to his own chest, "that's why I'm giving this to you." "Now that we are connected this way, I have to do everything I can to help protecting you, otherwise my heart will never be at peace." "...but how is a necklace gonna protect me anyway?" Luna looked down once again at the necklace, the cold and smooth feeling to her hooves touch...gave her little faith. Author's Note just a prologue chapter about Luna's necklace ;) Razor Flare is the main OC in this series, I'll detail him later ;)
Chapter One - The Omitted Dark PastWith a poof sound of magic, Twilight Sparkle appeared in front of the hall gate of Canterlot royal castle. Author's Note We are closing up to the core of my story Next chapter will be much pacier
Chapter Two - A Minority History Book Chapter Two - A Minority History Book "Wait!
