High Flying Love
A Lovely Night
Previous ChapterNext ChapterSoarin walked to town square. His heart shattered. His dreams were devastated. The darkness felt great. The shadowy figures of buildings, lights poking out of some of them. His thoughts were flowing ike the waters of the fountain in Town Square. What if this is a prank. A hoax? He thought nervously. Tears welled up at the thought. He wouldn't be able to handle that level of rejection.
"Hey, you showed up!"
"GAH!" Soarin jumped. His heart racing. Turning and seeing Rainbow Dash. She looked amazing as ever. Her hair tied o the side of her head. He could smell a rainy scent. And sniffed a few times. Dashie now entered the light of a streetlamp. Her eyes making him calm.
"I'm glad you didn't prank me." He said in relief. His eyes piercing through her.
She whispered back "I'm glad you showed up. I wanted tonight to be special. A way to get to know each other."
He shrugged. "Now what?"
"Perhaps we could go and get a bite to eat?" She suggested simply, as if she'd planned to have this done. Her perfume practically made his hormones lose control. He found her attractive.
Rainbow had her heart pounding with a passion more fiery than her rage. It made her feel alive. After all, her and Soarin had their dreams shattered. She needed to find a way to make him feel better. He clearly wasn't okay. She quickly kissed him. His face becoming red.
Soarin was stunned with her speed. It felt amazing to have his lips locked with Dash's. He held her in a hug. Making out with his girlfriend. She enjoyed it deeply. Even in places not to be mentioned as of right now. She loved this colt. She really couldn't deny it.
They went to a simple restaurant where a bizarre, pink maned, bouncy, mare worked. They sat in their booth looking up through the glass to the skies. The skies they practically owned. Those same skies where Soarin once felt at home. Now he couldn't face anypony.
Rainbow didn't know that under that exterior lied a broken colt. One who'd been suffering. Now left behind by everything. His heart crumbled. Collapsed. Shattered. He had enough verbs to describe it. Now he wanted to free himself.
They soon left, and he walked her home. To her family's home. Soarin kissed his lover deeply. Before leaving. She smiled. Going inside and rushing hurriedly to her bedroom. She was beyond joyous. Though this joy slowly fell. She saw him tearing up before turning away. She opened her window and flew out to find him.
