Equestria can't seem to catch a break lately. After dealing with the attack from the Guardian-- and still recovering from the scars it left-- Princess Celestia finds a new threat looming on the horizon, when some old friends from a distant land come with dire warnings. Now, as the Princess reconnects with a past love she thought dead, she must face the oncoming storm of darkness-- that seems to be gunning straight for her. Will she manage to keep her head above water as she fights to protect those she holds dear, or will she slip into the dark...again?

Credit for the universe of this story goes to Wanderer D, who graciously let me siphon off his creative genius when my muse beat me over the head with this idea.
I really started working on this as a side project for when I struggled with writer's block on my novel, and then it promptly exploded into this massive mushroom cloud of story. I'd wanted a universe wherein Twilight was already established as Celestia's daughter, and Wanderer D's Empty Room was perfect. The character Dawn is his creation, I just have the kirin, eastern dragons, (their respective countries) and the character Yinfâng. (No, she is not the main protagonist. Breathe.)

Note: the mature tag is more for the gore than the sex, that will mostly be alluded to; though that might change in later chapters.
