Fallen Hero

1st Person:

*BeepBeep* *BeepBeep* *BeepBeep* *BeepBeep* "Uhh, where the hell am I? What happened?" I open my eyes and the first thing I see is the heart monitor right next to me. Heart rate looks good. Blood pressure looks good. I look to be perfectly healthy. Then I look down at myself. I see that both of my arms and my chest are wrapped up. Uhh now I remember what happened. Fuck my life. Where the fuck is my stuff? That is when I noticed my buddy, Zeus, sitting on the ground next to the bed. God I love my dog, I can't believe I've been with him for 3 years all ready. If anyone hurts him, there will be hell to pay.

Then I heard the door open and it was a pony not a human. Great this wasn't a dream. God I'm still in this unknown land and where the fuck is this place? "Hello Captain, I'm glad you're awake. My name is Nurse Redheart. It has been a little since you arrived. You know it has been several days and well you dog has never left your side. You two must really share a special bond."

I smiled and faced my dog. "Yes we do ma'am. My boy, Zeus and I have been through hell and back together. If you don't mind me asking. How long have I've been asleep?"

"You've been asleep for three days. You know your dog is very aggressive to everyone that tried to get close to you. When we tried to work on you or bring him somewhere else to feed him, he would growl and sometimes even try to bite. We even brought in Fluttershy to talk to him, she specialize in animal care. Even she couldn't get him to leave his post, so we had to feed him here. Don't even get me talking about getting him to use the restroom."

I laughed and smiled at Zeus. I patted the bed signaling him to hop on and lay down next to me. "Yeah he never listens to anyone else but me. He's trained to only receive commands from me and me alone. This way when I'm in combat I don't have to worry about the enemy telling him something." She looked pretty stunned at that fact.

"He does what? He fights for you?"

"Well yes ma'am. We fight along side one another. I am trained along with my dog, to use him to help my men and I in combat. Whether that be finding explosives, guns or enemies. He is also trained to help in fighting enemies too."

"That... that's le-legal?" The face of utter shock on her face was priceless. She knew I was going to say yes but still for some reason had to ask me. I guess animals are not used in the military here, that is very interesting.

"Yes ma'am. Now enough of that, when can I leave?"

"About that, you are not to be allowed to leave until Princess Celestia sees you."

"Why is that ma'am?" I ask nervously, I thought everything was ok with us. She said we would be ok. That lying piece of shit.

"I was not allowed to know. She will be here any second though. Since she comes to see if your condition has changed at around this time everyday."

Almost on cue the Princes walked in. "Hello sir."

"Hello Princes Celestia. Can I leave and see my friend?"

Her mood completely changed when I said that. No he can't be dead. No! Please no! "We were able to stabilize both of you at Sweet Apple Acres. When we got here, you both began to plummet health wise. His plummeted a lot faster and a lot worse than your did. I had to you high levels of magic on both of you just to save you. The side effects of that, on your body, is unknown because both of you seem to have no magic capabilities." No shit. Up until I landed here magic was a fucking joke. "Your friend, is still asleep. We don't know when or if he will ever wake up. I'm sorry but that's all I can say about your friend."

I sat in bed with just a blank expression. Trying to process this information was so hard. I couldn't imagine not being able to hang out with my friend again. I began to get angry and think they aren't doing everything they could. Slowly felt a strange sensations in my forearms, primarily my right one. Though I quickly calmed down and realized that can't be true and they must have done everything they could. I was luckily able to wake up only after just three days but my best friend may never wake up from this. I… This is my fault. He wasn't suppose to go on this mission and I made him. How could I have been to selfish, god dammit. "He… He's still asleep?" She nodded at me. Oh my god I got him to a coma. Fuck. "May I go see him?"

"Yes you may. Follow me. Afterwards we need to talk about a few things and also find out where you are going to be staying. Once that is all settled, I will give you your belongings." I nodded. "Follow me."

"Ok let me get dressed." She just stared at me not moving. "That requires you to leave the room unless you want to see my genitalia." That got her to blush crimson red. Who knew I could make a princes blush. She quickly left the room so I could get dressed. After I threw my clothes on I headed to the door. "Come on Zeus."

Once I was outside of the room she asked, "You ready to go?" I nodded and then we were off. As we walked, we made several turns to the intensive care units. Not gonna lie, for this being a world dominated by ponies. The hospital looks the exact same to what we have on Earth. Even though my friend and I were both out for three nights, I was considered stable since the injuries weren't as bad as his. Finally we got there. "We are here." I nodded before I entered.

Once I entered, I went straight to the bed. Zeus followed and reared up to put his front paws on the bed, he began to whimper sadly. "Hey John. I'm really not good at what to say in these kinda situations. I'm not sure if your body still hears what I'm saying but I'll say it anyway. Just know Zeus and I will be here for you everyday that we possibly can." Zeus howled in a sad tone as I said that. "You know even though he's my dog, I think you're the only person that he would even consider listening too. Well he is the only other person he has listened too. Now that you're healed all you need to do is wake up. I can't believe magic exist, that's what they used to heal us. Can you believe that? Well I can't. Last thing I must say is that I'm so sorry that I brought you on this mission. You're in this situation because of me... Well I have to talk to the princess and find a place to say. I'll be back tomorrow for another talk." After that I left room and went out into the hallway. "Ok princess where do you want to talk?"

"In the library." She responded and began to walk towards the exit of the hospital. Why would we talk in the library? Hmmm well I guess I'll just see. So Zeus and I followed.

When we got outside I could finally see the town where I most likely will be residing. The architecture was far from modern, it had almost like a medieval vibe, if you know what I mean. They don't have electrical poles, so I guess they only use candles. Oh wait they got magic so fuck electricity, I'll just use magic to turn my light bulbs on. On the way to the library we past a gingerbread house. I know how that may sound but I'm saying the truth. This place looked identical to the shit I made before Christmas. Besides that nothing has really blown my mind about what is hear. The only thing I didn't like was all the attention I was getting from the town folks. I'm not use to getting this many stairs, I mean usually I'm trying to sneak through towns. Not straight up walk down the middle of it in broad daylight.

Finally we got to a tree house thing. "So why did we stop princess?"

She turned her head to face me, "This is the library."

She began to walk in and I followed. "This is not a library this is just a fancy, glorified tree house." Once I entered my jaw dropped. "Oh my god it is a library."

"See I told you." She smirked. "Twilight are you here?"

Then I heard another voice coming from upstairs. "Princess Celestia. I'll be right down." And she didn't lie because all of sudden there was a purple flash and she was standing in front of us. "Hello Princess and hello… um I didn't get your name."

"My name is Leo. I'm a captain in United States of America's Navy Seals."

"Well hello Leo, my name is Twilight Sparkle. I'm Princes Celestia's personal student. Welcome to Ponyville in Equestria." That must be the name of the place and country I'm living in now. Then she turned to face Celestia. "Now Princes what is the meaning of your visit?"

The Princes stepped forward, "We are here because I have to talk to Captain Leo in private. Is that possible?"

"Yes Princes, just have sit here and I will go grab tea." We both nodded and had a seat. There was so many damn books here. Everywhere I look there is another book, all organized. Up, down, left, right, there is a damn book. She is such a fucking nerd but hey that's cool.

"Ok princes, what do you want to talk about? Zeus sit."

"Let's wait for our tea. This is something that only you, my sister and I can know about." I nodded. So we waited five minutes in quiet not talking. Finally I heard the kettle begin to whistle and Twilight quickly trotted in afterwards holding the kettle and to cups. I assume she is holding it with magic but I don't know. "Thanks Twilight. We can pour it, now can you actually leave for a little. The conversation I need to have with Captain Leo is well, classified. I'm sorry for kicking you out of your house but that's what I need. I need to make sure no one hears anything." Twilight looked sad but nodded and left. She called for someone named Spike and I saw a lizard thing follow her as she left. Yes I just saw a fucking lizard walk on his hind two legs. What the fuck is this place?

"Ok princes, what's the big deal?"

"You are the big deal considering you just came out of no where. I would think if that happened to you on your world, you would have some questions." I nodded but it most likely wouldn't be this peaceful. "Ok. Why are trying to get to Manehattan?"

"Mane… what?"

"Manehattan. One of my subjects said that while you were in the woods she heard you yell, 'We are suppose to be in Manehattan, not in the middle of the fucking woods!' Forgive my language, I'm just repeating what you said. So why are you trying to get there?"

"Ohhh I said Manhattan not Manehattan. What is Manehattan?"

"Well it's a city to the north east. What is Manhattan?"

"It's a city in the north east portion of my country, in my world. As for what I was doing that is classified. Sorry."

"Can you give me just a little about the mission?" She's good. Like any leader with someone from another military. Always trying to get another's country military tactics and missions.

"No, the only thing I can say is what we were told before we dropped and found out about the real mission. All I can say is that World War 3 was going on. It was started by some mysterious force, four months ago. The war had finally came to the land of my country. The part of the mission I can tell you was that my squad and I was suppose to H.A.L.O. jump to get into that city. We didn't know it was that city at the time of the jump. We only found out once we had left the plane."

"There is that much war where you are from, that the whole world has fought each other more than once? Also what is this H.A.L.O. jump that you speak of?"

"Well it's not the whole world fighting each other. There is just a crap ton of countries fighting each other so they name it a World War. Also yes there has been more than one of these. Yes before you ask a shit ton of people die. In the last one about sixty million people were killed. That is including the civilians and military death. That number equates to about three percent of the worlds population died. But that number varies in how many died. Some say more some say a little less. Now H.A.L.O. jumping is when we jump from a plane at 30,000 feet in the air. When we jump from this hight, we require oxygen mask and have to be completely covered because of the temperature at that hight. That's why I had so much gear on me, when you saw me. Now I would like to get my belongings back."

"That is horrible. How... Uhh I don't even no what to say about that." I nod and give her a look saying you don't have to say anything. "Now for you're stuff you will get it soon. Anyway so humans can fly?"

I nearly fell off my seat from laughing so hard at that stupid question. "Ha. No we can't fly. Human have technology for a machine that flies. We were jumping out of it. Don't ask why we jump out of perfectly good machine. Don't worry there are usually a pilot that does land said machine."

"Ok. Next question, those weapons. What are they?"

"Those are guns, they are what our modern weapons look like. Do you have them with you so I can show you? Don't worry I will disarm them so that they can't hurt anyone when I show you." With that Celestia's horn lit up and all of our weapons showed up. After they showed up I took out the mags and pulled back the slide to discharge the loaded round. The grenades, I just made sure the pins were fully in place. "Ok which one to begin with. Hmmmm. This one. Ok this is an M4A1, it is a fully automatic assault rifle. It files metal projectiles at a high rate speed that can go into and kill a good majority of things with one shot. To fire it you stick this in, it's called a magazine." I pointed to the magazines that goes to it. "This goes here and you pull this to cock it. Now if there was a mag in the gun, a bullet would be in the chamber. Now all you have to do is aim and pull this trigger. For safety they have a button near the trigger that if touched locks the trigger and prevents the gun to fire." Then I pulled up the M9. "This is M9 pistol. It's similar to the M4 but shoots a smaller metal projectile and does less damage. Besides that everything else applies." I then pulled up a grenade and made sure not to pull the pin. "Now this. This you really have to be careful with. This is what we call a grenade. It is a small explosive that uses the metal shrapnel to kill or injure the enemy. To use you pull this pin and let go of lever. Once that is done you have 5 seconds until it explodes."

After I finished explaining I put all the weapons back where they were. After that I looked up and Celestia's face was priceless. "Your… Your weapons are so deadly."

"Yeah they are, it make's my job that much easier. Humans aren't really a peaceful species as you can tell from World War 2. In war, we play dirty and try to take out the most people you can with the littlest amount of things. For instance a grenade. This is good for injury more than killing. One grenade can easily injure two to three people. Which then requires four to six people to cary out the injured. There for you now six to nine people out of a fight for the price of just one grenade." Her face looked unnerved yet still a little scared. Good thing I didn't tell her abut Hitler, when I briefly talked about WW2. "Don't worry I have no intention of harming any of you ponies."

She still looked shocked but nodded. "Now how about that dog of yours. Does he fight?" I told her everything I told the nurse when she asked. "That is insane what humans do."

"I know but him and I take great care of each other. He's save me more than I've saved him. I owe him my life for several situations he's gotten me out of."

"That is amazing."

"Yeah I love Zeus. Any more questions?"

"Yes I have one more. You have some interesting marks on your body. What are they?"

"Oh my tattoos." She nodded. "Well you know how they work. You have one." She looked confused. "On your butt, you have one."

She blushed. "Oh that, that isn't a tattoo. It's a cutie mark, it shows what our specialty it. We only get one once that specialty is discovered."

"Oh well in a way that is kinda similar to a tattoo. A tattoo is a mark that a human can get from a machine with needles that inject ink into our skin that stays permanently. I have a few. On my right side on the ribs I have my dog tags, just incase I some how lose mine. On my dog tags it says my full name, my social security number, my blood type and religion. Then on my left arm I have the logo of the Navy Seals. I have a few others by I don't wanna talk about them." She nodded. "So where am I going to be staying?"

"Well I think I should have you stay with one of the mane six. Who would you like to stay with? There is Twilight, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Applejack or Rainbow Dash. Well except Rainbow Dash, she lives in a cloud. She can explain how that works to you. So would you like to live with?" The fucking pony lives in a cloud. How is that even remotely possible? I must inquire.

"Um lets go with Fluttershy."

"Sounds good. I'll take you there now." With that we were both and my dog were engulfed in a white light and landed in front of another tree house esk type of building. I could tell it was relatively in the country so I won't be bothered by the locals. Celestia knocked on the door. "Fluttershy, it's Princes Celestia. I have a question for you. Can you come here so I can ask you it?"

I began to here the sounds of hoofs coming to the door from the inside. "Um hi princeEEEEK." With that the door slammed shut. Shit well guess I should go somewhere else.

"Fluttershy he's not here to hurt you. He just need's a place to stay and I was wondering if he could stay here with you. Fluttershy."

With that, the sounds of hoofs hitting the floor came back to the door. The door opened beyond slow and she barely poked her head from behind the door. She spoke just above a whisper, "If the princess wants you to stay here you can. Umm hello there. I'm Fluttershy." She said as she hid behind her mane.

"Excuse me?"

"I'm Fluttershy." It was even quieter than the first time.

"What was that?"

"I'm Fluttershy." She was even quieter. How quiet can she get?

"Ok then umm yeah. Bye." I began to walk away when out of no where some ungodly force shoved me out of the way.

"Oh my god your dog isn't angry any more. He's so nice looking now. How did you do that?" Zeus looked slightly confused as Fluttershy flew out to him. Once she flew over to him, she started to rub Zeus around his head. More specifically around his mouth and the side of his face.

"He doesn't like that if he doesn't know you. So I wouldn't do…" Zeus tried to bite her. "that."

"Eeeeek!" She quickly flew back and hid behind the princess. Yup I saw that coming.

"So Fluttershy, I'm Leo and well I need a place to stay. I'm here to ask you if it is ok to stay with you for the time being?"

Fluttershy looked at Celestia, who nodded. She must have wanted to get the ok from someone of importance. She does seem really shy and well I probably did seem scary when first showed up here. "Um yes you can."

"Great. Now Celestia, where can I get my stuff?" Then there was a sudden blast and the rest of my belongings were in front of me. How? Oh wait magic. "Well thank you Princes. Now Fluttershy, where shall I be sleeping?"

"Um in the living room and on the sofa until I can get a bed of your size. If that is ok with you? I mean you can sleep in my bed and I can sleep on the couch if that works better." Right as I was about to respond there was a flash inside the house. No doubt it was from Celestia. As we went inside, Fluttershy went to where the flash came from. In the guest the room is where we ended up. "Um well it looks like the princes gave me a bed for you that is your size. Now I guess you can sleep here in the guest room. If you want."

"I think this will do just fine Fluttershy. Thank you again for letting me sleep in your place."

"Umm you're welcome."

Then I turned to face Celestia. "Thanks for the bed Celestia and thanks for being kind. I mean if this happened the other way around my kind would probably capture you then do science on you. Well even though I've been asleep for the past few day. I'm really tired and would like to go to sleep. Fluttershy, I will talk to when I wake up. Princess, I'll talk to you whenever you're back in town. Night Zeus."

The princess began to talk, "Sounds good Leo. I also have things to do back in the castle so I was about to leave anyway. I look forward to talking with you soon. Bye." Fluttershy said bye, then princes took off into the sky.
