Fallen Hero

"No! No! Nooooooo!" I woke yelling and covered in sweat like I was having a nightmare but I couldn't remember my dream at all. Which is so fucking strange. Why was I yelling? When I sat up after rubbing my eyes, I saw Fluttershy just rushing in the door with a bucket and a wet rag. "Hey, what is with that for?"

"Umm you were having a really bad nightmare. It actually woke me up from the yelling and scared me. When I came to check on you, you were shacking, yelling at something and sweating like crazy. I was putting wet rags on your head trying to help keep you cool. You woke up just I was coming back from getting more cold water."

"I'm sorry for scaring you Fluttershy. Also thank you for trying to make me feel better." Uhh what was I dreaming? Why can't I remember? The last time I woke up like this was from a night terror. It is just I never had someone trying to make me feel better.

Then she asked me what I was thinking, "What was the nightmare? That is if you don't mind me asking."

"I don't mind you asking it just, umm... I really don't know what I was dreaming. I can't remember a single thing from my I dream. I've woken up like this though when I have had night terrors. Usually when I wake up, I know what it is about but for some reason I can't right now. Please don't ask me what they usually are, I don't wanna talk about it. Ok?"

She looked at me questioningly. Almost like questioning, could they really be that bad that you won't even give me the chance to ask you about them. Anyway Fluttershy didn't ask anymore and moved on. "Ok? Well you must have been having a horrible nightmare if Princess Luna wiped you dream completely. I'm sorry for you dream being that bad." The fuck she just say? Princess Luna wiping my nightmare? Don't make me laugh.

"Don't be sorry. Now excuse me, what did you say about my dream being erased?" I barked at her. Fluttershy backed up and hid even more behind her mane. Now I felt bad for barking but I mean who wouldn't.

"Um Princess Luna, the Princess of the Night. Well she can go into peoples dreams. She does this to prevent nightmares from either happening and/or help ponies recognize their fears so you can fight them. She only wipes a pony's dream completely if it is a really really bad nightmare. Like beyond salvageable. I'm so sorry that she went into your dream. She was only trying to help." When she finished, I could hardly see her behind her mane anymore.

"It's… It's ok. You really don't have to apologize for the princess going in to my dream. It's not like you told her to or made her and she was just doing her job. If anything I should be apologizing to you. I'm sorry that I barked at you, I had no right to do that. You were only being helpful and explaining things to me. I only barked because I don't want people to see what I have seen. Also I don't want people in my head." I laughed at that last statement. Fluttershy even let out a slight chuckle. "Now the reason I don't want her to be doing this is because of what I have seen. Some of the is shit I've is some really messed up because of war. I don't know what war is like here because you guys have magic. Overall in the short time I've been here this country does seem quite peaceful, significantly more than where I come from. Even though I love where I come from, war is very common and very graphic in nature. I've killed a lot of bad people and I've seen a lot of good and bad people get killed. Every person I have killed or seen killed haunts me. So I thank that she did get rid of my nightmare, I just don't want her to. To prevent her from seeing how bad my race can really get. Do you understand me?" She seemed scared from what I just said but she did nodded timidly. Crap I probably just scared her from saying I've killed people and everything. "Now don't worry everyone I killed was in fact bad. Those people threatened to or did harm people in my military, my country and other friendly countries. I would never kill someone who didn't deserver it. Trust me when I say I won't harm a hair on you or anyone else here, unless they threaten or harm one of you or I. You understand that, right?" Well all but one of my kills I made was a bad guy. I will never forget that day. I'm so sorry Lauren. Now is not the time to remember and she doesn't need to know. Fluttershy nodded at me, in that she understood my question. "Good, now I need to go work out and I have to stop at the hospital. I'll shall try to be back in like an hour." I said trying to smile but was being prevented as the memory of that one kill began to come back to me. I'm just glad she didn't question it anymore because she could probably tell something was up.

"Just stay of the forest, please. It's really dangerous out there."

"Sounds good. I shall not go into any forest. Now can you please leave so I can change."

"Why? Ponies don't normally wear clothes anyway." Where did that boldness come from?

"Let just say a stallions anatomy and a male human anatomy is quite different." She gave me a questioning look. "Uhh they are different when it comes to the genitalia region." Still she gave me a questioning look. I just shook my head, like really. Like how can you not get the idea. "Uhhh let me use precise words. Us, human males, do not have sheaths that cover our penis. Now do you understand why I would like you to leave?" The mare went from yellow to red in a second, her wings fluttered and I'm pretty sure only half an eye wasn't covered by her mane. When her wings fluttered she got even got more red. Do pegasus's get wing boners? She eeped and then quickly ran out of the room and I just laughed at her response. Quickly I put on a pair of gym shorts and took my short off before I left the room. Before I left the room I turned and faced Zeus. "Hey buddy you wanna come on a run with me?" Bark. "Come on then Zeus. You know the drill." When I went into the living room I saw, a now yellow faced, Fluttershy just sitting in the middle playing with her rabbit. If she was human this would look really cute and adorable. Even though she was a pony, it still look a little cute. Why am I finding this cute?

Once I was in her view and she saw me topless her face went red almost as fast as it did a minute ago. This time her wings even shot straight open and they were stiff. Just like last time her face got even redder. Yup pegasus definitely get wing boners. Now the question is, why is she getting one now? We aren't even the same species. Uhh this is strange, I need to just run and clear my head.

I went back into my room because I forgot to grab my iPhone and headphones. As I past her on my way out, her wings were still extended and I saw her, red as ever, trying to put them down but they weren't going down. It was actually quite comical to see but I wasn't going to keep bugging her about it. When I got outside I laughed at what had just happened as I set my music and put my headphones in. Ahhh now what to listen to. Hmm… I'm thinking start with Post To Be by Omarion Ft. Chris Brown & Jhene Aiko. Very up beat to begin a run and I like it. Now where to run? Pff lets just go and make my way out, go to the hospital and then come back.

I started running from Fluttershy's and crossed a bridge then hung a right. Before I knew it I was singing and enjoying my time. It was a beautiful sunny day, the temperature nice. It couldn't be nicer for a workout out doors. I maybe got 10 minutes into my run before I got to Sweet Apple Acres. I wonder if this is where Applejack works? I mean if she did work here it would make sense. Just as I past the barn my question was answered. Standing there was the blond maned, orange fured, stencil hat wearing pony. She looked to be carrying a buckets of apples to the barn.

Applejack POV:

I was just taking a few baskets of apples I had just bucked back to the barn, when I saw Leo run by. Applebloom was on the other side of me and hopefully didn't see. Celestia though, Leo is hot especially as he runs with his dog. The sweat running down his body and he's so muscular. His muscle definition is so nice. His abs look so amazing. I wonder if all soldiers from his home world look like this. I wonder if John looks like that? God why am I feeling like this, he's not my species. I mean it's legal for interspecies relationships here but it still feel strange. Grrr.

All of a sudden I hear my sister's voice. "Hey big sis. Who is that hot two legged stallion, hairless, ape thingy running with a dog?" Crap, I frowned.

"That is a human, Applebloom and he is a friend. His name is Leo and he's from another world. Apparently he served in his countries military." That is when I looked down at my sister. When I did, I did not like the look in her eyes. "Applebloom remember the talk I just gave you." She gave me that look that says, 'Awww come on sis.' "Yes that still applies to him sugar cube. Even though he ain't a normal stallion, he is still a male. You hear?"

She sighed and nodded but blushed because she knew exactly what I was talking about. Just the other day I had to give her the talk. The whole birds and the bees talk. I'v never been so uncomfortable talking to my sister, than I was during that. Well at least she know how babies are made. Also that ponies do it, no pun in tended, for pleasure. Celestia, I can't believe she's that old that she needed to know that. "Aww but sister. He isn't even a pony."

"Doesn't matter AB. He is still a male and you are still a filly. You understand me? If I catch anything shenanigans, you will have tartarus to pay because I know it will be your fault. He probably wouldn't know better since he is not a pony and all. Do you understand me?" She gulped then nodded but I wouldn't mind that hot piece of flank. It's a double standard but I don't care.

Just as he went out of view, Applebloom went towards her club house and Rainbow Dash flew in. "He Dash, how's it going?"

"It's been going good. Pshhh, it's been amazing if what I think I saw is what I actually did see. Did I just see Leo run by here with his dog? Though I did notice a bunch of markings on his body and I think I saw a even a few scars. I really wonder what the markings are and how he got the scars. He probably got the scars from being awesome, like me." I could tell even she found it attractive. As much as she tried to play it cool, I could still tell how she is feeling.

"Yes you did. You can stay here because if he wants to get back to Fluttershy he will fun past us again. Unless he wants to go through the Everfree Forest."

"Oh yeah. Hang on." With that she took off with her rainbow trail following. No more than like 30 seconds and she was back. With her she had two lawn chairs a two pair of sunglasses and two boxes of popcorn. I just shook my head.

"Um what are those for?"

"For the show of corse. Have a seat." I just laughed and did as she said. Almost a minute after that Leo came into view again. We sat there and ate our popcorn but once he got closer in our view. We stopped eating an pulled our glasses down our snout. "Ahh he's so hot." I looked at Dash and man I've never seen those wings more opened and her face more red than right now. Right as I looked away, I saw Leo stopped and looking at us at the fence to the farm. He wasn't just looking at us looking at him, he was straight up posing or us. Then I saw a grin being to appear on his face. Shit, he knew we were doing, Dash turned more red and I turned red so fast.

He yelled out, "You gotta do better than that if you wanna get a look without me catching you." He began to run again and laughed as he went. As he left, I was able to notice the markings and scars she talked about. I wonder if those markings a humans version of a cutie mark and those scars. How did he even get those? Some of the markings appears to be words and others appeared to be images. For the scars, I couldn't even imagined what he must have gone through. There was a scar that went right through his chest, maybe a few inches from his left shoulder. If his anatomy is anything like ours. What ever caused that injury had to have hit his heart.

Leo's POV:

I had to stop in front and mess with the the two mares that were not so discreetly trying to look at me. I've seen humans do this but never did expect a pony to do this. Well I finally made it back and did my push ups and sit ups. I didn't get to do the swim because I didn't know where to swim. I will need to ask someone about a swimming pool or lake or something to swim in. I also stopped at the hospital so that I could have a nice conversation with John. Yes he didn't talk back but it was nice to feel like he was listening. We talked about the run, about Rainbow Dash and Applejack. Finally I apologized again for bringing him on the mission. I hope he will be able to forgive me the day he wakes up.

When I went to town to see John, similar things happened similar to when I when I was at Sweet Apple Acres. All the mares would stop and look at me. Before I went inside the hospital I put my shirt on, I swear I heard a moan of why. Then when I came out, I took my shirt off and tucked it in the back of my shorts. When this happened, I swear I heard cheers. God these women are crazy. Finally after another 10 minutes I made it home.

I knelt down and rubbed Zeus's head. "Well good run today Zeus, we just ran like 10 miles. Time to go in and see Fluttershy. Hopefully she can handle seeing me now. I am covered in sweat and shining in the light." Once I got inside Fluttershy made eye contact with me. Shit here it goes again, three… two… one… wings and red face engaged. Oh wait this is new, she's falling down and oh wait, she's fainted. "Well shit. Ok let me put you on the couch." I said as if she would be responding to me.

3 Hours Later:

"Hey sleepy one wake up." She opened her eyes shocked and immediately sat up and our head collided. Did… did her lips just touch mine. I raised my hands to my lips, like that was going to solve the mystery. The almighty sherlock hand is on the case, I laughed to myself. "Did you just kiss me?" Now I was the one beginning to blush. Why am I blushing, she is a pony for god sake. Plus I've kissed my fare share of women anyway. Yes, none were a female pony but still they were of the female variety.

"Um… yes. I… I mean no. I… I don't know. I just uhh sat up and next thing I knew, my lips hit yours. I… I... I... I'm sorry. Oh god I have to go take care of the animals." Her face was red again and wings extended. Damn this girl got the hots for me. She tried to get off the couch but I stopped her.

"Fluttershy it's ok, don't worry about it. Also while you were asleep I took care of your animals." The face of shock she wore when I told her that I did that was priceless.

"Really you did? You really took care of the animals for me?" I nodded. "Oh thank you so much Leo, you really didn't have too."

"It's the only thing I could do since you passed out. Now I'm still a little sweaty and of need a shower. I'll talk to you when I get out of the shower." Quickly I got up and headed to the shower. Wow today has been interesting to say the least, what else could happen? Right after I got into my bedroom I heard a knock on the door.

"I got it." Fluttershy called out. I cracked my door open so I could hear them. "Oh hey Twilight. What is it?"

That's when I heard another voice. "Hello Fluttershy is Leo here?"

"Yeah he is getting dressed. Why do you need him?"

"Well I just need to tell him and you that we have gotten invited to Canterlot. The princesses want to talk to him. Specifically Princess Luna, she said it had to do with his dream he had recently but wouldn't put anymore detail in the letter. Anyway we need to leave now. Oh and Leo if ask where the Castle is, tell him to look up the mountain. Well I gotta go, can you give him the news, Fluttershy? I gotta go, bye."

"I shall and see you soon Twilight." With that I heard the door the shut and Fluttershy head back to my room. Ohhh I'm bringing my wing suit. I know exactly how I'm getting back from there. I mean I do need some flight training. "Hey Leo. Um may I enter? If you're ok with that."

"Yes I'm fine with it. Come on in."

"Well I got news from Twilight saying that we have to got to Canterlot and Princess Luna wants to talk to you. It's something about talking about a dream you just recently have. I'm not sure why though, apparently she wouldn't say more than that in the letter. I mean I also don't know why she wants my friends and I to go." She finished and began to head out but stopped. "Oh yeah, we need to leave now and head to the train station. If you wanna see the place before we leave. Look up the mountain over there." She pointed to the left of me.

"Sounds good, I'll be packed in just a second Fluttershy. I'll see you by the front door." Hmm ok defiantly bringing my wing suit and helmet. Gotta make sure my parachute is packed correctly. Now I gotta bring my side arm and rifle. What the hell, I'll bring night vision. That should be plenty incase anything goes south with the people there. Well time to get to the train station and head to the capital. "I'm ready Fluttershy."
