Alone

Jack fired his Mosin Nagant, the can he fired at fell over. He ejected the shell and lined up his next shot, he heard footsteps coming from behind him, it was Rainbow dash.

"Hey, what is that thing your using? It's making a lot of noise." Rainbow said. Jack sighed.

"This is what's called a gun. it fires a really fast moving round that pierces flesh, concrete and a lot of other things. This type of gun is a called a sniper rifle, the specific name is the Mosin Nagant. The reason it's making so much noise is due to the fact that it uses a small explosion to fire the round. Most rifles use pretty big rounds though." Jack said as he continued to line up the shot.

"How big?" Rainbow asked. Jack pulled the bolt open and an unused round popped out. He caught it and held it up to Rainbow.

"About that big. That whole thing isn't the round though. Here hand it to me." Jack said, rainbow placed it in his hand. He pulled out a set of pliers and pulled the metal round away from the gun power and the jacket. He placed the bullet into Rainbow dash's hand. "That is the part that is fired. It's still pretty big though, that's why you don't want to point a gun at your self or others."

"Wow, look at this thing!" Rainbow said.

"And that's not even the largest round. this gun can only shoot that round, but one type of rifle can shoot a round that's almost a foot long." Jack said. "One day soon I'll train you girls how to shoot. You need to be able to defend yourselves from bears. They usually wouldn't come around this area, but since people disappeared they just wonder around."

"Hey, could I shoot a gun?" Rainbow asked.

"Sure, why not? I'll start you with the smaller ones, they have the lowest amount of kick to them. Ok now, you see this switch." Jason pointed at the switch on the side of the pistol. "That's the safety, when its on it will not fire. Right now the safety is on, always put on the safety before aiming it at another person or yourself. This is the trigger, you pull it to fire the gun. This gun is out of ammo, so I'll show you how to reload a gun right now. First, you pull out the empty clip." Jason removed the clip from the gun. "You put a clip that has ammo into the gun." He slid the clip into the gun. "Then finally, you want to pull the slide back and release it. That's all you need to know about shooting pistols. OH! And one more thing! If the gun jams, don't look down into the little hole in the front." He handed Rainbow dash the gun, she turned the safety off and aimed at a can. She pulled the trigger and the can fell over with a clank.

"Wow this thing is loud!" Rainbow said.

"Oh you think that's loud, listen to this." Jack pulled out his Desert Egale and shot one of the cans.

"Ouch! My ears! What is that thing, a canon!?" Rainbow said.

"Nope, it's just one of the largest caliber pistols to date. Let's go inside, it's kinda cold out here and you aren't dressed very warm." Jack said, giving Rainbow a pat on the shoulder.

"I'll live." She said.

"Not if you get frost bite. We don't have the proper equipment to cut something off if you get frost bite, so you'll probably get an infection and die. Not only that but I'm not letting you wear those booty shorts out side. I'm alright with it if you wear them to bed, but don't wear them in front of everyone else. Ok?" Jack said, rainbow nodded and they started walking back to the house which was just forty feet away. Rainbow ran up the stairs to change while jack stood in the middle of the room with his hands on his hips. He was starring at Danny. "The booty shorts were your doing, weren't they." Danny blushed a bit.

"Yeah, sorry. I could help myself." Jack lanes a little bit.

"It's alright man." He looked around. "I have to admit though, Rainbow does have a nice ass." Jack whispered to Danny. The two shared a short laugh. "just don't do that again. We maybe fifteen, but we're not perverts."

"Fine dad, whatever you say." Danny said.

"Well someone needed to grow the old wrinkly balls around here, or we would have never survived."

"What does that even mean?"

"It means someone had to become the mature one, imagine two teens wondering around with the whole world to themselves. That's us right now, now imagine niether of them could make smart decisions. They would survive very long." Jack said.

"Yeah I guess your right. But that means you have the old wrinkly ball sacks and I have young, fertile balls."

"Fool I hope there not fertile yet, otherwise you would be impregnating every chick you've ever banged."

"Hey, how do you know I'm not still a virgin?"

"Because you would constantly talk about it with me. Do you know how awkward that is?"

"Hehe, sorry." Rainbow came back down the stairs, this time she had black jeans on and a sweater.

"That's much better. Thank you Rainbow, hey where are the other girls?"

"They're all up stairs in their rooms, we finally got the whole size thing figured out with the clothes. Thanks for the clothes by the way." Rainbow said.

"It's the least I could do, especially because you all have to live with that pervert right there. The reason I told you to change is because those shorts put focus on your ass. in our culture, the wemons ass is considered a sexual part of the body. Basically he gave you those shorts so he could turn himself on. Isn't that right pervert?" Jack looked at Danny, who was blushing bright red. "I'll be making dinner tonight, I hope you guys like meat because we're having deer steaks. Although, you girls did eat deer stew last night so I guess your use to it." Rainbow gulped hard.

"That had meat in it." She went pale.

"Oh god, oh no honey." Jack hugged her. "Danny didn't tell you that there was meat in it did he?"

"No."

"I'm so sorry about that. Do you think you could eat what I'm making tonight though?"

"I'll try it." She said, jack released the hug.

"Ok good." Rainbow walked off and Danny stared at jack. "What?"

"You know what, you just made a move on Rainbow dash." Jack raised an eyebrow.

"No I didn't, she was just looking sick so I wanted to comfort her. Plus I don't want to be cleaning up vomit, you could learn a thing or two from me."

"Like what smart ass." Danny said with a chuckle.

"Well I have plenty of experience with being friend, and only friends with females. You how ever, see a female and basically shout 'who wants to fuck?'"

"Hey!" Danny said, jack laughed.

"I'm gonna go out on a supply run." Jack said.

"Oh, that power generator I've been working on should be finished very soon. We'll be able to use electricity in this house for once." Danny said.

"Great, tell me when is finished. I'll hook it up to this houses circuits." Jack said. "Girls! I'm going on a supply run! Anyone who wants to go and is t afraid to get dirty can come!" Jack shouted up the stairs. Only two girls came down the stairs, Applejack and Rainbow dash. "Alright, Rainbow dash I'm giving you an M16. This one is made to be semi auto so I think you can handle it. Applejack, I'll take you out side real quick so you can get a feel for what you'll be using." Jack led the girls out side. "You see those windows to the house across the street?"

"Uh, yeah." Applejack said.

"You two are going to get use to your guns by shooting those windows. Rainbow dash, here is your M16." Jack handed the rainbow haired girl the gun. "And Applejack, you can have the model 1887 shotgun." After a quick run down of gun safety and how their guns work, Jack stepped back behind them. "Shoot at the windows when your ready." Jack said.

"Alright!" Rainbow said excitedly. She took the first shot and it hit the window. Applejack pumped the lever on the shotgun and shot at a window, It shattered immediately.

"Alrighty, it looks like you girls can handle the kick from your guns. So let's get moving." Jack said.

"What will you be usin?" Applejack asked.

"I'll be using this." He got his mini-gun out from behind the front door.

"Wow, it looks, so awesome!" Rainbow said.

"Yeah it does. Well, I'll be leading us from house to house. Don't worry about taking the stuff if the house is empty. If it's empty that means the house hasn't been lived in since everyone vanished." Jack turned around and started walking. "You girls cover the back, my gun will more than handle the front." Jack said.
