After Sunset

I am going to princess Twilight.

She can travel to sunsets world.

She can take me to meet my sister.

Mother is telling me I am not to go.

I need to run to ponyville.

I need to see her.

I need to get her help.

I need to make her come home.

Just for a day.

Just to let mother and father know that I am not a disappointment.

Just to do what sisters are supposed to do.

I have made it to twilights home.

I have made it to the portal.

Knock.

The door is slowly creeping open.

A small dragon is at the door.

I tell him of my goal and he leads me inside.

He takes me to the princess.

I tell her what I must do and she objects.

"It is too dangerous"

I begin to cry.

I have nowhere to go without sunset.

I was told not to go.

I will be rejected be mother and father.

She gives in and shows me to the portal.

Shows me the way to my sister.

I feel it's magic.

I feel it's power.

I enter the new realm.

I enter the realm of sunset.

I take a minute to adjust to my new body and begin the hunt for sunset.

I have the same hair as her but mine is purple and silver.

I am the moon and the night sky and she is the sun and the rising sky.

We are different yet the same.

Twilights close behind me.

She leads me into the great castle in front of us to a small room full of instruments.

I see her there.

I see my sister.

She is confused.

I step forward and we see each other truly for the first time.

She knows.

I know.

The group around her looks shocked as they realise.

She asks me who I am.

"I am Moonlight Shine and I am your sister!" I say as my eyes begin to water.

Hers begin to too.

"I have a sister?" She asks.

I hear a crying sound behind me.

The girls sunset was with are crying.

All but the farm girl.

We sit together on the piano.

She will return for a day.

She will help me get our parents love.

She knows what hatred feels like.

She knows what it is to want love.

We walk to the portal and enter.

Sunset and I take the train together.

We walk to our front door.

Mother opens it and sees me there.

She begins to shout about how stupid I am.

Until she sees sunset.

Sunset is taken into a deep embrace.

Sunset is taken inside.

The door is slammed in my face.

I am not welcome there.

Sunset will fix this.

Sunset will help me.

I hear an angry shout from inside.

I hear my mother scream get out.

Sunset leaves the house and the door is bolted again.

She tells me she wanted me to be let in.

She tells me that mother calls me the family mistake.

She tells me mother resents me because I have another mother.

Father resents me because I was his accident.

Because I was his mistake.

Sunset hugs me.

Sunset tell me to come home with her.

That I am a star in her eyes for putting up with them for so long.

The sister I once hated, I now love.

The sister I once hated is now my only family.

The only one that accepts me.

The only one I love.

She tells me she will take a backseat for a while.

So after sunset.

Moonlight shines.
