Reading the prequel story would be highly recommended, as this story won't make much sense without it.

After getting sent to a strange world with the powers of my favorite video game character, Samus Aran, I left the planet, and started exploring the universe I remembered from the games. But my past never left me. I've been haunted by the ghosts of those I failed to save. Oh, and Fluffles, my pet Metroid.
