How I Kissed My Waifu
Chapter 2
Previous ChapterGodson looked at his phone. Which has now been dead for the past three months. Remembering the moments he had in Equestria with it. The notes he wrote during his first trip here. Most of the things that happened at that time didn’t make too much sense for him. Then again, everything was hectic for him towards the end.
“I could always take this over to Twilight, and see if she can cast some spell to charge it or something.” He thought. “But there’s not exactly a whole lot I can do with it. Just take pictures and write notes.”
He looked at the beautiful world around him, and then back to his phone.
“But…maybe pictures aren’t that bad of an idea...”
“C’mon, Goddy! We gotta finish this order!”
He quickly snapped out of his trance. “Right. Sorry, Pinks!”
Godson softly opened the door to Twilight’s Library. Knocking loudly a few times to announce his presence.
Twilight looked at him, and smiled warmly. “Hey there, Godson! You’re actually right on time, I’ve been meaning to ask you a few questions…”
“Oh.” Godson closed the door behind him. “See, I was just gonna come and see if you could charge my phone like you did the last time I was here. That way I could take pictures and stuff.”
“How does such a tiny little thing take pictures?” Twilight tilted her head.
Godson grabbed his phone from his pocket, showing off the back of it. “It’s got a small camera built-in.” He chuckled softly.
“Ah.” Twilight nodded. “Sure, I can probably cast an electrical spell on it to give it a good charge.”
“How did you know that would work the last time, by the way?” Godson asked.
“Heh… Lucky guess, actually.” Twilight sheepishly grinned.
“So… What did you want to ask me?” Godson queried.
“It’s about that ‘cartoon’ you mentioned three months back.” Twilight replied, casting a light electricity spell on his phone.
“What about it?” Godson raised an eyebrow.
“Well. Uh. How do I put it this way…” Twilight placed a hoof on her chin. “This is just me being curious, by the way, you don’t have to answer it.” She noted, then proceeded to ask her question. “Since you know about all six of us, and you know about most of our adventures… I wanna know…” She cleared her throat. “Sorry, this is kinda weird to ask. But… Who’s your favorite, out of all six of us?”
Godson jerked his head back. “Woah, seriously?”
“Y-You don’t have to answer it! I was just curious, seeing how you supposedly knew so much about us! And, considering you’ve already been here for three months.” Twilight quickly spoke, trying to make sure he had that in mind before answering the question.
“Nah, it’s fine.” Godson said in a reassuring tone. “I just… didn’t expect you to ask a question like that. Uh, right…” He crossed his arms. “To be completely honest, Twilight. Even though she hates me, it’s Rainbow Dash.”
“Really?” Twilight cocked her head. “Why?”
“Well, she and I are similar in some ways.” Godson began, letting his arms fall back down to his sides. “Like, for starters, she’d never let her friends down. While I’d at least try, and sometimes fail. BUT, the thought still counts!” He looked at a nearby chair, then back to Twilight. “Do you mind if I sit down?”
“Not at all.” Twilight shook her head.
“Cool, thanks.” Godson sat down, getting a little more comfortable. “Not only that, but… I find her kinda adorable sometimes. I dunno, just… something about her, I guess. I can’t really explain it.”
“Huh.” Twilight blinked. “Haven’t heard anypony called Rainbow Dash adorable before.”
“Really? Hm, first time for everything. I suppose.” Godson thought aloud. “Well, was that all you wanted to ask?”
Twilight nodded in response. “Mhm. That’s about it.”
“Alright. Then that’s about it for me.” Godson got up, walking towards the exit. “Thanks, Twilight!”
“No problem!” Twilight waved a hoof.
And then, the door closed behind him.
“Alright, he’s gone. You can come out now.” She called out. She turned around, quickly noticing Pinkie Pie standing in her path. “Gah!”
“See, Twilight? I told you he liked Dashie!” Pinkie said, bouncing up and down. “I know Dashie isn’t exactly friends with Goddy, but maybe we can do something to bring them together!”
“I don’t know, Pinkie. I mean, Dash told me she doesn’t hate him like he thinks she does. But I’m not sure it’s such a great idea for us to get in the middle.” Twilight shrugged. “Maybe they’ll settle things on their own?”
“No way, Twilight!” Pinkie interjected. “Do you know how long that would take? We need to do something!”
Twilight groaned. “Fine… I think I have a plan…”
Suddenly, there was a knock at Godson’s door.
“Coming!” He shouted. He was able to pay for his own home after working a month at Sugercube Corner, during that time, however, he simply bunked with Pinkie Pie. He didn’t exactly enjoy every moment bunking with her, but it was pretty fun for him until he had his own place. He also had Rarity to thank for him having clothes to wear.
He opened the door, finding no one behind it. He glanced around outside his door, finding nopony in sight. He took one step outside, and heard the sound of paper being crumpled.
He looked down, and noticed there was a note right on his doorstep. He grabbed the note, sweeped any dirt from his shoe. And read it.
“Godson, as soon as you read this note, I need you to check something for me at the library. I mean it, get here as soon as you read this.
~Twilight Sparkle”
“Alright.” He thought. “Guess I’m heading to Twilight’s.”
It was now three months and a week since he arrived. During his walk, he thought about the time he spent here. It sucked. All he did was work, there was barely any free time for him to do anything.
“Yeah, maybe seeing what Twilight needs will bring me a little action into my life.” He said internally. “Even if it’s for a few minutes.”
Immediately arriving at Twilight’s library, he proceeded to open the door, and knocked, announcing his arrival.
Twilight looked back towards him. “Perfect timing!” She cheered. “I need you to keep an eye on the library real quick. I need to go grab something before I explain what’s going on.”
“Uh. Alright.” Godson dumbly said, confused over his sudden role over protecting the library.
“‘Kay, thanks!” And with that, she ran out the door behind him. Leaving him all to himself.
He tried to understand what just happened, but shortly shrugged, figuring it was best not to think too hard about it. He walked up to the bookshelves, looking at what to read while he waited for Twilight to return. He sat down on a nearby chair, flipping through the pages of his book.
“Right!” A voice called out, as well as the sound of hoofsteps going down the stairs. “Now, what was it you wanted to show me, Twilight?”
Godson looked up from his book, and noticed a certain rainbow maned mare standing at the end of the staircase. “Oh, uh… S-She left. She went to go grab something, uh, I’m not exactly sure.”
Dash’s eyes widened. “O-Oh. Alright. Uh, yeah.” She looked toward the door, then back at him. “I’ll just… head out then?”
Godson nodded. “Alright, that’s all on you.”
Dash turned to the door, grabbed the knob, twisted it, and found herself unable to pull the door.
“Huh?” She thought aloud, catching the human’s attention. “I can’t open it!”
“Hm?” He hummed, putting the book down. “What do you mean you can’t open it?”
“I mean I can’t open it, idiot!” Dash barked. “What else could I possibly mean?!”
Godson got up. “I don’t know, that you were probably faking it?” He walked towards the door, gave the knob a good twist, and pulled. And yet, it felt like the door wasn’t even a door, just a wall with a door knob attached to it.
“Welp. We’re stuck.” Godson concluded.
“Thanks, Captain Obvious.” Dash rolled her eyes. “I’m gonna go check the windows. You do… whatever it is you do.”
Godson scoffed. “Fine. I’ll just go back to reading my book.”
Dash jumped up, using her wings to fly around the library, checking every window there was. Every single one of them, however, left with the same result.
They were unable to be broken. Not even cracked in the slightest.
She flew back to the living room, where Godson was already sitting once more, continuing his book.
“How could you be reading at a time like this?” She inquired. “We’re trapped in a library, and all you can do is just read books!”
“What do you expect me to do?” Godson countered. “If you obviously can’t leave through the windows, then what point is there to worry?” He placed the book down again. “We’re in a friggin’ library, why not read?”
“You’re an egghead. You know that, right?” Dash grumbled, landing back down on the ground.
“So’s Twilight, but you and her get along pretty well.” Godson nodded. “What is it you have against me, anyway?”
“Huh?” Dash cocked her head to the side. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“You’re trying to avoid me.” Godson narrowed his eyes. “The minute you saw me, you tried to leave.” He stood up. “Seriously, why do you hate me so much?”
“I don’t hate you!” Dash shouted. “I just hate the fact that the only thing you came here the first time for was just to steal the Elements and take over Equestria.”
“To be fair, Celestia did let me win. It was only supposed to last about ten minutes.” Godson chuckled. “And then you six showed up, and now here we are today.”
“Still, how am I supposed to believe that you were dared to take over Equestria?” Dash paused to take a breath. “And by some random idiot on your ‘phone’?”
“Hey.” Godson retorted. “He’s not just ‘some random idiot’.” He crossed his arms. “He’s a good friend of mine… With some idiot moments.” He laughed softly.
She caught on to his laughter, causing her to giggle a bit as well. “But… doesn’t that make you a villain or something?”
“Nah. Do you know how much work that would be?” He shrugged. “Besides, I don’t have what it takes to be a villain.”
“So… why’d you do it?”
“Honestly?” Godson scratched the back of his head. “I never thought I was gonna be able to do it in the first place” He stood from the chair, getting a little closer to Dash. “I guess it was just that kind of thing you do to tell your friends ‘Ha! I told you I could do it!’”
“Yeah, I get ya.” Dash smirked. “I’ve had a few of those moments myself.”
“See?” Godson smirked back. “I’m not that bad of a guy.”
“Alright. Fair enough.” Dash agreed. “Now it’s my turn; What is it you have against me?”
“Huh?” Godson jerked his head back.
“I mean, you’re trying so hard to get me to realize you’re not as bad as I thought.” Dash placed a hoof on her chin. “But, anypony else probably would’ve just ignored me for the rest of their life. But you didn’t.” She tilted her head. “Why?”
Suddenly, Godson’s eyes widened, he crossed his arms. “Well. It’s… It’s not ‘cause I… like you or anything…”
Dash’s pupils immediately shrank. “O-Oh…” She shook her head, her eyes returning to normal. “Y-you mean like… like me?”
“No, I mean like you as a friend.” Godson said sarcastically, “Of course I like you like that!” He facepalmed. “Y’know what, just… just forget I said anything…”
“Nonononono, wait!” Dash quickly interjected. “C-C’mere…”
“No, forget it, it was dumb anyway.” Godson removed his hand from his face, shaking his head.
“You only have this one chance.” Dash stated. “C’mere.”
Godson sighed, and obeyed. He got closer to Dash, kneeled over, that way they could look at each other face to face.
“Just… answer me this…” Dash breathed softly. "W-why me?"
Godson took a deep breath, and sighed. "Well, 'cause... Y-you're awesome! You never leave your friends behind, you never back down from a challenge..." He placed a hand on the back of his head. "I can't get over how pretty your mane is, just... Everything about you is adora—" Suddenly, he found his speaking become muffled. He focused his sight, realizing Dash's lips were pressed against his own. As soon as he figured out what was going on, he closed his eyes and kissed her back.
The two broke the kiss after a few short minutes, staring at each other's eyes. Dash then took the initiative and practically pounced on him, landing on his back and having her on top. She wrapped her hooves around his back, while he stroked her mane, as well as petting her back every now and then as they made out. Breaking apart just for quick breaths, they never wanted to let go.
Eventually, they broke the kiss.
"Heh..." They both breathed, almost breathless over their previous actions.
"T-that was..." Dash cooed.
"Yeah..." Godson smiled sheepishly. "So... Uh... W-what now?"
"Well, you and I are here, trapped... Alone..." Dash smirked.
"O-oh..."
"Got any three's?" Godson asked innocently.
"Go fish..." Dash grumbled.
Twilight opened the door to her library, and walked in. Thus ending the spell.
"Alright guys, I'm ba—" She froze in her tracks. Noticing two sleeping bodies cuddling together on the floor.
"What? Did they make up?" Pinkie asked behind her.
"It looks to me they did a little more than just make up." Twilight replied.
"Lemme see!" Pinkie exclaimed, pushing Twilight out of the way. Seeing the sleeping cuddling duo.
"Oooooh." Pinkie smiled. "I bet they made out..." Her expression changed from a smile to a full blown grin. "Welp! Two more satisfied customers! My work here is done!" With that, she bounced her way back home, leaving Twilight with the sleeping bodies.
She walked inside, closed the door behind her. And walked closer to them.
"They look so cute together..." She whispered to herself. Her horn began to glow as she levitated a blanket to cover them.
"I'll let them have their sleep..."
