Shades of Violet

"What the hell are you doing here dad?" Violet said, still confused as to why her dad was standing in front of her. "My team and I are here to get you out of prison and where you belong, at our HQ."  said Violets father, Indigo.

     "Well how do you plan to do that, because every guard in the prison is heading to this spot to kill us?" said Violet.

     "Yes, and I was planning on it" he said as he levitated a small hand gun to her, and a second to Ditzy. "Hope your not to rusty." Then the sound of hoof steps came from the stairwell at the end of the hall. "What about the rest of my ex-squad?" said Violet, "Are we taking them with us?"

     "This is what used to be the Princesses army, we might have changed a few things, but we still never leave a soilder behind." Then handguns were passed out to the other now free prisoners. The hoof steps of the gaurds grew louder in the back ground. "On my mark we move out!" Then everypony loaded their guns and got ready to fight, "MOVE OUT!" yelled Indigo and the ponies responded with a chorus of "Hoorah!" then they filed out the door to the stairwell, intercepting the gaurds and the sound of gunshots rang through out the prison.

     Several of the gaurds had been killed before Violet and Ditzy had gotten through the door. The gaurds had managed to fell two ponies, one a prisoner and one from the rescue squad. Violet stepped out and a shot hit the railing next to her and bounced off, finding a home in the concrete ceiling. Violet crouched and levitated the pistol so she could line up the shot with the gaurd pony head. With a slight pull of the trigger, Violet had given his head a new hole and the wall behind him a new paint job, red with pink chunky pols dots.

     Violet slowly crouch-walked down a flight of stairs, avoiding being shot, till she reached the landing. She then stood at full height and fired five bullets into a gaurd. He looked like Swiss cheese then slowly fell to the ground. Another gaurd quickly replaced the one Violet had just killed, he then shot at Violet three times, two missed and found homes in the wall behind her, but the third hit Violet in the side, it cracked a rib. Violet immediately winced at the pain and was to distracted by the blood slowly flowing out of her and soaking her lilac coat to shot back. The gaurd would have killed her if Ditzy hasn't been there. She lined up the shot with the speed of a jet and fired twice. The gaurd's head suddenly exploded as two bullets ripped through his head, turning it to red and pink applesauce with a few teeth mixed in.

     The escapes prisoners and combat squad fought the gaurds for the better part of a half hour, there seemed to be no end to the amount of gaurds coming from the lower floor. The gaurds had many casualties and lost three floors after the half hour. The combat squad had lost 5 ponies and there were 8 of the 30 prisoners left. The combat soilders fed the prisoners into the hallway of the fifth floor the led to te stair well.

     "There is no way we can fight our way out, there's to many!" One of the soilders yelled as she fired upon the prison gaurds.

     Violet then got an idea and screamed to her father, "Got any frags?" While she too fired upon the gaurds. Then Indigo threw a baseball shaped item to Violet. She grabbed it in a telekinetic grasp and threw it down two floors, only keeping the pin behind. There was a chorus of screams from the lower floors and three seconds later, a small boom. The gaurds and and most of the stairs were gone.

     "That was great how you got rid of 'em, but how're we supposed to get down now?" said Ditzy.

     "We'll you can fly us down one at a time or we could jump... But I prefer the first option, only if your up for it." Violet said.

     "Or we could take the slide?" said Indigo as he pointed at the laundry chute.

     A few minutes later they were all in a giant laundry basket one by one, jumping over the sides and landing on the floor, some on there feet, others on their face. The room was dark, the only soured of light came from the small window of the back door. The group of prisoners and soilders slowly moved towards the door. Violet looked out the window and didn't see any pony. One of the soilders slowly opened the door and looked around, still no pony around. The group slowly exited the laundry room one by one, and the last pony out closed the door as quietly as possible, so no pony would know they went out through the laundry room.

     Then they looked around for the extraction point and found a group of similarly dressed combat ponies.

"On the count of three, we run for those ponies and don't look back, they're our ticket out of here. 1, 2, 3!" Then everypony ran for the hills like they were being chased by murderers. After a full minute of sprinting, the group had made it to the trees and meet up with the second group of combat ponies. "Welcome back exfill team, was the mission a success colonel Indigo?"

     "Heavy casualties... Got primary targets.... Prison on high... Alert." Indigo said between breaths.

     "Time to roll boys!" The combat pony said, then four ponies started up their trucks. The prisoners were put in one truck, Violet, Ditzy, and Indigo were in the second truck. The rest of the exfill team got into the third and team two got into the final truck.

     "Next stop, rebel HQ." said the driver and the truck rolled away from the prison.
