Fluttershy nodded, embarrassed, as Pinkie Pie continued explaining. "Yeah! She wasn't even being herself! It's like she was the Element of Unkindness instead!"
"Hmph, that's strange," Twilight pondered, using her magic to fetch a book nearby. "Very strange indeed," she added as she closed the book after scanning through all of its pages, having failed to find a logical explanation to why Fluttershy would have an outburst unknowningly.
"U-Um... I don't mean to interrupt," Fluttershy said just as Twilight opened up another book, "but what if it has something to do with that glowing b-book the other day at the castle?"
Pinkie tilted her head. "Yeah, that's right! It has to be that glowing, weird, magical book of magical glowingness! It's a book that glows after all!"
Twilight nodded, acknowledging the possibility that the cause of the outburst was the book. "I think you're right, Pinkie... it should have something to do with it. Are you sure though that it wasn't just you, Fluttershy?"
"O-Of course not! I'd never yell at a friend just because a cake fell on me!" Fluttershy exclaimed in response.
"Oh yeah!" Rainbow Dash's loud yells of excitement from outside caught the three ponies' attention as they trotted over to the window in unison, only to witness Rainbow Dash clearing the clouds that had gathered near the middle of the sky. "This is awesome!"
"Looks like somepony's having fun," Twilight chuckled, her eyes tracking the rainbow-maned pegasus as she rid the sky of troublesome clouds.
"Speaking of fun, Twilight, I gotta go; I've got a party I need to set up! I can't believe I forgot!" Pinkie suddenly said, jumping up. "I'm sure you'll figure out what's wrong with Fluttershy, but for now, bye!" She zoomed out of sight before the others could say goodbye.
"W-Well-" Fluttershy began to speak, only to be interrupted by Twilight.
"You should probably get some rest," Twilight laid a hoof on her shoulder. "I imagine you're terrified from what happened today. No worries, I'll get to the bottom of this."
"T-Thanks, Twilight, I w-will." Fluttershy waved goodbye before flying out of Twilight's treehouse and in the direction of her cottage.
