Load Full StoryNext ChapterThere is tell of a legend in Equestria... one that you will not find in any book... one that tells of a hero, one of a royal bloodline long forgotten, an Alicorn of noble birth. They will be Equestria's hope for continued harmony when the dark king shrouds the land darkness, they will be the light in the darkness.

"Well... that's foreshadowing if I ever read some." I mused, looking at the transcript Twilight held in front of me. the purple pony of purpleness brought me here to her castle, away from my bed mind you to read a transcript she had found in the Canterlot Archives after a brief visit last week. At first, when she called me over I contemplated just staying asleep... but then she just teleported me into her castle... in my underwear no less.
Don't get me wrong, I have no problem walking around in my underwear, I do so normally when I'm home alone, or around guests... because I do not care at all. So here I am... standing in my underwear, reading something Twilight threw at me. I had no idea why she wanted me here though, I was still trying to wake up but I did manage to read the crap.
Scratching my stomach and yawning wide, I asked. "Why show me this rock, Twi Twi?" I asked her, I was genuinely curious, and also a bit peeved I was denied sleep. The words were printed on a really old rock, like something you'd see in Skyrim or something, it was interesting, if the last bit wasn't worn off. How convenient, screw you story mechanics.
Twilight, being the ever so adorkable nerd she is, squeed silently and pointed to the warrior bit on the transcript. "One of these friends, will be a strange creature from a land of war, one that is skilled and talented. A warrior with a pure heart, and a tactful mind. Do you know what this means?!"
"... it means... that whoever this warrior guy is... is... strange?" I asked, squinting my eyes and tilting my head. I wasn't too keen on the guessing game, I already do that with Pinkie Pie, and it is annoying as balls. I love the girl but holy crap.
Twilight sighed heavily, facehoofing before saying. "No! It means this warrior, could very well be you, Lee!" She told me, much to my shock. "A warrior with a pure heart, and a tactful mind. You possess these traits! And from what you told me of your world, there are always some wars and battles going on, and I've seen you fight Lee!"
I could only sigh, was she really going down this road? "Look Twilight, I'm not a warrior. My dad was something like that, he was a soldier, I didn't go down that route in life." I cracked my knuckles, relieving them of the stiffness. "If I did, I probably wouldn't be here today. And as for Tact," I pointed a finger up in a know it all manner. "I am about as tactful as a blind bat."
Twilight just giggled, saying, "Some bats that are blind are pretty tactiful ya know~"
"Anyway," I continued, poking her nose. "I am not pure of heart, I mean, come on. Have you met me Twilight? I'm about as pure as a Russian prostitute infected with gangrene, herpes, and a bad case of skin disease." I explained to her, waving my hand around in a general, You know, fashion.
"But it mentions a strange creature! Lee, you were pretty strange when you first came here until you managed to explain what you were! And like I said, we've all seen you fight!"
"Twilight, you could kick my ass in hand to hoof combat, and you're a lovable nerd who's kinda pudgy." I retorted, poking her side. She was only a little pudgy, but that just make her more huggable if you asked me. Of course, Twilight didn't think as much.
I spotted her looking down at her body, brows furrowing in concern. "Am I really pudgy?" She questioned, poking her stomach with a hoof. "I must be eating too many of Pinkie's Pies."
That sounds... weird... Shaking my head, I looked down at Twilight. "You're not pudgy Twilight, at least, not a lot." I quickly picked her up, making her squeak. "You're just pudgy enough to be huggable, like a teddy bear~"
Suddenly, I heard a crash from upstairs, followed the sweet sounding voice of a tomboy. "I'm good!"
Oh Rainbow, silly crashing pony.

"Oh hey! Its Rainbow!" Chuckling, I started upstairs, Twilight however didn't seem too keen on me carrying her upstairs with Rainbow around. I could feel her struggle against my hold. Now, I was no strongman, but I had a significant strength over ponies. They were practically powerless one I picked them up.
"Lee! Rainbow's not going to like this, let me down!" She ordered me, poking and prodding my arms and chest. Her hooves felt kinda rough, yet a bit soft. Weird.
"Mmm, naw."
"Lee, come on!"
"Nope."
"Please?"
"Mmmmm, no."
"Come on, Lee, really?!"
"Yeah, really."
"I am a Princess! of Equestria no less!"
"Well I am the king of nacho tacos... so I win." I retorted smugly, holding her tighter as I walked up the stairs. Twilight was actually pretty light for a Alicorn, of course her struggling didn't help matters any. Eventually I arrived upstairs and, with the elegant grace of a Russian ballerina, I roundhouse kicked the door open, sending it flying open as I eyed my girl Rainbow. "Hiya Rainbow!" I greeted, waving one hand while my arm was wrapped around Twilight, who was now blushing.
Rainbow Dash turned around, her mane flopping s she did so. She had grown it out quite a bit after a whole year of us being together, her tail was longer as well, making her all the more fluffy. I loved it, and she seemed to as well, giving how much she show it off, along with that little tuft of fur sticking out on her chest, she doesn't show that off but she does make a big deal out of it. Not sure what it means though, must be some pony thing.
Dash arched an eyebrow at me as she saw who I was carrying. "Why are you carrying Twilight?" She asked, poking a hoof towards the mare in question. "Secondly, why are you in your underwear?"
"Well, Twilight agreed to a three way, we were just waiting for you." I smiled innocently as Twilight no doubt froze, I could literally smell her eyes widening as she sputtered out a reply.
Twilight managed to get out of my grasp (IE I dropped her) and she quickly got to her hooves and waved her forelegs around. "No I did not! I just wanted to show Lee something really interesting I thought he would be intrigued by!"
"Her luscious looking flank, obviously."
Twilight used her magic to zip my mouth shut, much to Rainbow's apparent glee. "NO! No no no no no! I just wanted to show him this!" She teleported again, eventually coming back with the rock she showed me earlier. "See?" he floated it over to Dash who eyed it, before shrugging.
"Its a rock, with scribbles on it... so?"
"So? SO?!" Throwing her hooves up into the air, she fell onto her haunches as her wings drooped to her sides. "This rock tells of a legendary hero with royal blood who fights alongside a strange warrior from a different realm!! MEANING! This warrior could be you, Lee!" She practically yelled, pointing at me. "And this hero is an Alicorn! And you know there's only four!"
Again, I was lost. I loved history a much as the next guy, but, again, I just woke up. "Mm mm m mm mmm mmmmm mmph." I told her, waggling my finger as her in a know it all manner, obviously I knew what I was talking about... I went to college!
She seemed confused for a second before looking sheepish. Quickly casting a spell, she got rid of the zipper on my mouth and gestured for me to repeat.
I hate repeating myself.
"I said, yeah I know there are four Alicorns. I'm good friends with them, herp derp." I yawned again. "And I really don't believe I am a warrior, yeah I can fight but that's only because I'm a dumbass and have a black belt in Jujitsu or some shit." I decided to sit down on the couch, leaning back and feeling of the fabric against my bareback. It felt amazing, so cold and just oh so right.
Rainbow seemed content to fly over to me and sit next to me, leaning against me and nuzzling her muzzle into my neck before laying her head on my shoulder. "I don't know Lee, you look like warrior material to me." She commented, her eyes flicking down to my chest.
I was in pretty decent shape for my size, having worked all over Ponyville and running errands for everyone I had gained quite a bit of muscle. Enough to make me look healthy and bat a few eyes maybe, but not enough that I looked like a fucking monster. I was average, and I liked it. Exercising with Rainbow kept me in top shape, I could actually keep up with her in a sprint race, which is quite a feat everyone tells me. Also my training in Jujitsu kept me in good shape as well, and eating right of course.
"Whatever you say Dashie but still... I'm no warrior." I told her, my hand draping around her and my hand finding its way to the top of her head where I absentmindedly scratched the area between her ears. Much to her delight as she cooed softly, leaning into my touch. Ever since that day one year ago, she's gotten more affectionate, of course she's still her hardheaded brash self, but after some time together I found she had a soft side to her. I liked both sides to her. "I mean, seriously. I'm flattered you guys think I'm some badass, but eh, I'm just a guy, nothing special."
It was true, I am nothing special, despite what they all think of me, just an ordinary guy. Rainbow didn't think so however, she thought I was the best human ever, even though I am the only human in Equestria ever. I felt her move a bit, pressing more of herself up against me and saying. "I think you'd make a pretty damn good warrior."
I heard a throat clearing next to me, and both Rainbow and I looked over to see Twilight looking at us both with a smile. Rainbow saw fit to quickly pull away, she had an image to keep after all. Ah! The rock, I need to know more about it. "So why did you want to show me that rock again?" I questioned her.
"Because it also tells of a dark king... and there's only one king we all know about." She explained, trotting over to some books.
I thought for a moment, thinking about Equestria's kings. There weren't many male rulers in this part of the world... save for... My eyes widened. No way... she couldn't mean. "Are you talking about King Sombra?!" I asked her, she couldn't mean him! My slight outburst got Dash's attention, she perked up and looked over at me at the mention of Sombra. "The King Sombra?"
"Sombra?" Dash looked at me, then Twilight. Her own eyes reflecting what I was thinking.
Twilight nodded, confirming my suspicions. "Yes, this transcript is talking about Sombra." She reached with her magic, pulling out a book from somewhere and opening it up. "King Sombra... is going to make a comeback."
Now see, that didn't make any sense to me. I know for a fact Sombra was dead, Celestia and Luna told me all about it when Cadence visited the castle the one time I was there, such a sweet mare. Anyway, she told me that Sombra was defeated by Cadence and the elements, and Spike of course, somehow. Sombra was dead...
Right?
"But, he's dead." I said, looking at Rainbow, seeing her nod as my eyes flicked back to Twilight's. "Right? I remember what Princess Celestia told me about him, and how Spike kicked his ass or something. He's supposed to be dead, how is he making a comeback? How could he?! He was blasted by magic!"
She could only sigh in response, levitating the book down with a tired expression. "I don't know how, but... most legends in Equestria tend to come true... maybe this is all a hoax, but the Princess seemed very adamant about this happening... and... all I can do is just hope she's mistaken for once." She looked at the rock before putting it down, eventually turning around and walking over to the door, leaving the room.
Rainbow and I remained, contemplating what she told us. I just sat on the couch, leaning forward and staring at the floor. I held my hands together, my thoughts turning to Sombra. Long ago, he was an evil king who ruled over the Crystal Empire over three or four thousand years ago, and the empire suddenly vanished for some reason only to return. This was like, four or five years ago of course before I came here. From what I understand, Sombra was defeated by Cadence who used the Crystal Heart, some weird funky magical object of great power.
Sounds like some cliche magic thing you get in Skyrim or something from a cartoon.
I could only sigh, if he's coming back...
My thoughts were stopped when I felt Rainbow's arms encircle me from behind. I felt her pull me closer to her, I let her. "You thinking about Sombra?"
I nodded, pulling back slightly to put my arms around her. "Yea, I hope Twilight is wrong though. That guy is not an easy dude to deal with, if what I read about him is true that is." He was said to be really powerful, and skilled in dark magic... what a cliche bad guy. "If he is coming back... we're going to kick his ass." I grinned, looking Rainbow in the eyes as she smirked back at me.
"Glad you weren't being all depressed about this, I wasn't really keen on playing the pony that had to reassure you." She told me, poking my bare chest with a hoof.
Grinning still, I brought my hand up and cupped her cheek. "I'm not one to get depressed easily Dashie," I told her, leaning towards her ever so slightly. "As long as I got you guys, ain't nothing going to stop me. Warrior or no warrior, Sombra will get his ass kicked if he thinks he can take us on." I chuckled before Dash cut me off with a kiss, her foreleg wrapped around the back of my neck and pulling me in close.
I'm also dating Rainbow Dash, did I mention that? Alllllllrighty then~
We pulled away once more, her magenta eyes staring into my blue ones before she laid her head on my chest. I held her close, leaning back and laying my head on the couch arm rest. She laid in my lap with her upper body across my chest, her head resting just below my chin. I passed the time by running my fingers through her silky mane, despite its shaggy and messed up appearance, it was quite soft and smelled incredible. I could feel her heartbeat, it was slow, and relaxed.
We laid there for a while, just listening to each other's breathing. I couldn't tell what Rainbow was thinking, but whatever it was had her eyes staring off into space. I kept running my hand through her mane, occasionally scratching one of her favorite spots and eliciting a sigh from her and a smile. These were the kind of moments I enjoyed, just the two of us relaxing... I loved it.
"Hey Dash," I kept watching her for a while, and she was looking like she was thinking about some serious. Despite being together only a year, I knew most of her signs. "You alright?" I asked as she looked up at me.
She smiled in response, reaching up to peck me on the lips. "Nothing you need to worry about Stretch, not yet anyways." With another smile worthy of Discord she shot up and flew out of the window she came through, leaving me alone before coming back. "See you later!"
"You too Dashie," I winked at her, flashing a pose as I stood up and watched her leave. After watching my prismatic girlfriend dash off into the skies, I turned around and walked out of the room. As I felt a breeze pass by me, I was suddenly reminded of my being half naked. "Eh, oh well." I murmured as I strutted down the stairs, past some cute mare guards who blushed from the sight of me, past a furiously writing Twilight, and outside where I was basked in the glory that is Celestia's sunlight.
And it seemed I had a few onlookers.
"Bask in the glory that is a half naked me!" I demanded, striking a pose. Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw a few mares raise an eyebrow at me, whether it was because they were starstruck by my amazing looks, or because I looked like a total goob. I wasn't know for my smarts, I was known for my idiocy!
I could hear giggling coming from nearby, and when I looked I saw a familiar mint green pony, followed by a flash of light. "Well~ It looks like I have something occupy myself with tonight~" She said, smiling pervertedly as always.
"Glad to have given you something to fap to Lyra." I smiled in return before strutting away, swinging my arms about. I heard Lyra quickly gallop away, no doubt to get her picture developed. Oh Lyra, you're such a perv. I grinned, she was a good kind of perv. The kind of perv you wanted as a friend, well... the kind I wanted for a friend, anyway.
Today was a lovely day.
