Firespin's Return, Luna's Surprise, and Magma Blast

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

You have got to be kidding me, of all the days to run into someone I don't like and it had to be today and this idiot of all ponies? I couldn't suppress the groan as I smacked my face several times. Firespin is in this city? I thought he was in jail, damn it all to hell, what's going on with life?!

Firespin laughed, his orange eyes looking between me and Dash as I wished with every fiber of my being he would implode. "Didn't think I'd see the monkey and his bitch anytime soon, hehehe."

Rainbow stomped her hoof into the pathway, hard enough to actually crack it. "What the hell are you doing here Firespin!?" She demanded, I was curious myself.

The stallion only smirked, "None of your business you bitch, I'm here to talk to your pet monkey!" He cackled as I saw several more stallions come up from behind him, it was just then I noticed them all wearing fire red suits.

Next to me Rainbow bristled, eyes wide as she snorted. "...Monkey? You're still calling me monkey?" I sighed sadly, shaking my head from side to side. "You need some better material dude, serisouly, I've been called monkey by every pony in this place. You calling me it is not going to hurt my feelings."

"Am I missing something?" Cadence asked, eyes narrowed as she looked between me, Firespin and Dash.

I could only sigh, turning to face Candy I said, "Firespin is an asshole that Dash and I met when we went out to a bar together one night before we started actually going out together, he tried hitting on a mare in the back area who didn't want anything to do with him, so I stepped in." I groaned, remembering that night I had lost my shit, rubbing my eyes. "Me and Dash stopped him, but he ended up punching me, and then Dash came up, they argued and he hit her in the face and I... I lost it." I looked down, shaking my head and adding. "He's an asshole ex-Wonderbolt who needs his ass kicked again, I thought he was in jail." I scowled, looking towards the stallion as he kept that smirk on his face, talking to his cronies in uniform. "I don't know how he's out, he's supposed to be in there for another year."

Firespin looked at me, his eyes sizing me up. "Why are you here? Here to get your ass kicked by me again?" He wondered, snickering as his friens joined in.

I rose an eyebrow. "I'm sorry?" I asked, did he seriously just say that to me?

"Our captain kicked your ass in a bar called The Green Dragon!" One of his lackies behind him chirped, laughing afterwards. "Or do you not remember cause you're a smelly monkey!"

I stared at him, then coughed. "... Uh yeah, that's not what happened," I said as a chuckle escaped me. "Nigga!" I looked at Firespin, grinning, "I threw your ass out of a window, and you screamed like a little bitch when you crashed onto the ground, screaming for your mama!" I laughed, getting a laugh from Rainbow. No doubt remembering and cherishing that night.

"That's all a lie!" Firespin yelled, stomping his hoof into the ground several times. "You know I ki-"

"Oooh!" Candy suddenly chimed in, her voice a pleasant and lovely relief from Firespin's whiny Blueblood-esque voice. "You're the one Aunty Celestia told me about, the really whiny prisoner who wouldn't stop calling for his daddy to come save him."

...

"Omg." I chuckled, Rainbow joined me and before you knew it we were both laughing our asses, Firespin's face was rapidly growing a lovely shade of crimson as his boys suddenly looked intimidated. Probably cause Candy mentioned she was the niece of Celestia.

"She knows the princess?!"

"No way, she's her niece!?"

"You cry for you dad?"

"BANANA!"

Firespin rounded on them, turning on his hoof and glaring at each of them. "I do not call for my daddy! They're lying!" He turned around again, quickly flying up to Cadence and glaring at her. "Just who do you think you are?" He looked at her wings, his eyes flicking from her horn to her wings and back to her eyes again. "Some kind of alicorn wannabe, some reject the Princess made?" He raised his hoof, "I oughtta kick your a-!"

He was about to strike, and Candy ducked back, Rainbow taking flight to intervene, but she stopped... everyone stopped when they saw me. I stood stock still, my sword out and the blade inches from his throat. His eyes were wide as he looked down at the black katana in my hand, everyone stopped to stare at me, some of the bystanders on the street as well had stopped what they were doing to gawk at this strange creature holding a black - and albeit a slightly evil looking - blade to some pony's throat.

I won't lie, I may have looked really evil just now. My eyes were wide, set in a vicious glare directed straight at Firespin, my mouth curled into a frown and my hand gripped onto the katana. I felt both awesome and slightly tired as I growled at Firespin. "You don't touch her..." I told him, moving forward as my blade came closer, he retreated, keeping the blade from touching him. Sweat trailed down his forehead, and he looked about ready to piss himself. "Her name is Princess Mi Amora Cadenza of the Crystal Empire, she's my friend... you fuck with her, you fuck with me, and believe me when I say you don't want that." I growled, baring my teeth.

The rest of his crew backed away, no doubt wondering who the hell I was, also it was probably the fear of being stabbed up the butt by my sword.

"Sh-she's a bucking princess?!" One of his lackeys, a pegasus with a brown mane gulped. "I thought you said we would be dealing with some loser who took Rainbow away from ya!? Not a friend to the princess!" He cried, turning tail and running. "I'm out!"

"Me too!" Another one yelled, running after his buddy.

"Don't leave me!" Firespin cried, watching as his team left and disappeared around a corner, he turned back to me then spit at my shoes before zipping off faster than I could do anything. "I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU JUST YET HUMAN, MARK MY WORDS!" He screamed before flying off after his team. "GET BACK HERE YOU PLOT SUCKING MAGGOTS!"

Rainbow growled next to me, flapping her wings and glaring at here he ran off to. "You little punk!" Rainbow cried, but I stopped her by holding out my arm. "He jus-"

"Leave him, he ain't worth it Dashie." I told her, he wasn't worth two shakes of a boar's ass. "Damn scumbag." I muttered as I put my sword back into its sheath, getting some sighs of relief from the ponies around me.

Dash gave me a slightly peeved look before sighing as well. "You're right," She agreed, standing next to me. "But if he comes back again..."

I clapped my hands together, looking at Dash. "Then I give you full permission to beat his ass into the ground." I smiled, kneeling down patting my marefriend on the head.

That got her to smile, "Good, you couldn't stop me otherwise." She said turning up her nose and nodding.

"I know, I know." I chuckled, standing back up as she started flying next to me. Looking over at Candy I saw her smiling in our direction. "Wha?"

She made a hmm sound, then giggled. "Its just, you two..." She started, trotting next to us as I started walking. "I've seen many relationships bloom and flourish, but every time I think about yours, I'm amazed." Candy chucked again.

"Why's that?" I asked, rather curiously. What was so amazing about our awesomeness?

"Its just, you two have such a wonderful loving relationship and it makes me really happy." Candy told us, I could practically feel the happiness radiating off of her. "You two squabble, argue, and fight even, and poke fun, yet you two manage to still love each other with all your hearts... its inspiring really."

I smiled, looking over at Dash as she nuzzled me, I returned it and kept walking. "Its nothing special really, that's just how we are Candy." I told her in a 'eh' sort of tone. "I've been like this since I was a kid, and I'm sure Rainbow was too." I looked into Dash's eyes, her own reflecting what I thought. "We're just..."

"Awesome." She finished with a genuine smile.

I returned her smile with one of my own. "Exactly." I looked back over at Candy who was giving us one of those looks one would do when they saw something cute. I only shrugged, keeping my stride. "Sooo... anything else to show us?"

"Oh yes! Over there is a nice little donut shop, and over there is a-"

Does she know every place in the city? I wondered with a chuckle as we walked, Dash sneaking me a kiss and flashing me a smile before going back to walking by my side, brushing up against my leg.

This is a good day.

Good golly what a day, what a day. I sighed, sitting outside at one of the restaurants in the empire. I had taken my sword off and had it placed to my side, leaning against the chair with the hilt facing me. Rainbow had gone to the little fillies room and Cadence was sitting across from me sipping a cup of coffee. A bit late in the afternoon if you ask me, but who am I to judge? I myself had a can of coke... well... the pony equivalent, tasted like butt and salt but it got you going...

...

... to the bathroom for the runs that is, OH!

"So Lee," Cadence started, sighing once she sat her cup down, something told me I should have gotten a cup of coffee instead of this nasty ass soda, that delicious black liquid that tastes like ass unless you add creamer.

I looked up at her, nodding. "Yeah?"

"About Sombra..."

A sigh left me, somehow I shoud have seen this coming. "Look, Candy... I'm not going to run, I said that before."

She nodded quickly. "I know I know... its just..." She looked away, towards the ground before sighing. "Sombra is really dangerous, you've see how powerful his magic is first hand with that..." She looked around, as if afraid someone was listening in before saying. "Zombie."

"In my defense, I had no weapon." I told her, my hands drifting to my sword. "If I had this sword back then, or even a gun then I would have been able to handle myself." I told her, reaching into my pocket and pulling out my wallet before sifting through my membership card, "Aha!" I found them, pulling two cards out, I handed them to Cadence who took them in her magic.

She squinted her eyes to read it, it took a few moments as she sped read through it. "National Rifle Association of America? Annnd," She looked at the other. "Certified Firearms Instructor?"

I nodded with a smile. "Yep, I was trained by my dad and a few of his Marine buddies in how to operate firearms and stuff. I became a member of the NRA shortly after, mostly for some of their cool stuff." I leaned back, thinking about the gun safe I had back home in Southern Texas... yeah, I'm from Texas, it's where I was raised after my mom moved us both to America from Tokyo. I had a lot of neat guns, a pang of sadness hit my heart as I thought about one firearm I had in my personal safe under my bed. A glorious Heckler & Koch USP Match with a Compensator, it was a nice gun and my dad bought it for me on my birthday one year.

It fired like a boss, I've fired bigger and older guns, but the H&K USP is my all time favorite. Easy to hide in a coat, fires a good amount of ammo, and packs a decent punch. I wish I had had it when I was on the train, maybe then I wouldn't have been so damn useless during that fight.

"So," I nodded. "Yeah, I know how to use most of my world's most dangerous weapons."

Cadence nodded slowly, a thoughtful look blooming in her eyes. "What exactly is a firearm. I've heard of them from Princess Luna when you told her about your world's... umm..."

"Our outrageous violent history throughout time and space where we pretty much killed each other?"

"... yeah, pretty much..."

I laughed nervously. "Ehehehe yeah," I agreed as Rainbow came back, sitting down at the table with a snack she picked up from one of the shelves and paid for. "My world is a pretty dangerous place, we don't have magic so we had to improvise with technology. What we lack in the arcane arts, we make up for it with the power of invention. We've come a long way in the past, two, three thousand years?" I murmured, I can't seem to remember. "We've got a lot of dangerous weapons, including some that could end the world ten times over and kill all life." I added nonchalantly, leaning back with a sigh.

I only got silence as my answer... for a bit actually, everything was quiet actually.

I tilted my head, looking back up at Candy's shocked face and Rainbow's eyebrow raise. "What?" I asked, wondering why they were staring at me. Did I have a boogie?

Before I could even think of picking my nose in the most manliest display ever, Candy interrupted me. "You... you have weapons that could potentially end your world?" She asked, shock lacing every one of her words.

"No no no," She looked relieved, but I ruined that as I said, "they absolutely can end the world, kill millions, destroy everything that was built, all in a few seconds I think... complete destruction." I told her, making her eyes widen. "Didn't I tell you guys this already when Celly asked me about my world?"

"You didn't tell us your world had weapons that can destroy an entire bucking planet!" Rainbow hissed, looking around as a few patrons around us looked our way. Guess they heard?

I thought about that for a moment, I didn't? "I honestly thought I covered everything... eh, I forget things." Admitting my mistake, I sighed again and took a sip from my nasty ass soda before putting it back down. "Anyway, a firearm... uh, picture a handle," I said, holding up a bottle of ketchup. "Then picture that handle having a tube on top," I then held a water bottle off of the ground on top of the ketchup bottle, the hole facing forward. "Now imagine me clicking a small lever where my index finger is, and a small metal projectile," I put both bottles down, holding up my fingers several inches apart from each other, "this big, hurtling towards you at like, seven hundred miles per hour and blasting a hole through your body that's hotter then a lit match."

Both Rainbow and Candy looked horrified at that explanation, Cadence more so as she was reaching over to touch her side. "Why would your world need such weapons?" She asked, rubbing her side.

"Simple." I leaned forward on my elbows, cupping my hands together and saying, "for war." In my mind flashed hundreds of pictures and films about war, World War 2, the Iraq war, Operation: Desert Storm and several other all the way up to ISIS. "There are a lot of bad people on my world, some that'll take your life without even thinking about it just for a few bucks or just to kill you for looking at them funny." I tapped the table a few times. "My world may seem horrible from what I've said," I said, catching their looks. "But we're not all bad, there are millions of good people. Like me for example, I tried helping out where I could, but I could only do so much, after all I'm only one guy..."

Rainbow leaned over to me, planting a kiss on my cheek. "I'm sure you did some pretty awesome things back on your world."

I smiled. "Yep."

"You ever miss it?" Candy asked me, I fell silent... I guess she thought she said something wrong because her eyes widened and she waved her hooves in the air. "I'm so sorry, I did-"

I stopped her. "I miss it everyday." I admitted truthfully. "My mom, my dad, my friends, what little I had anyway, and my stuff... good lord do I miss my stuff!" I sobbed, planting my hands into my face and sobbing loudly and dramatically, like any man should. How would you feel if you had an entire season of Fairy Tail on your laptop and couldn't get to it because you were billions of miles away in a different solar system. "I want to watch my favorite shows, damn it." I moaned, wiping my tears away.

Rainbow just slugged me in the arm as Candy shook her head, bemused.

I reeled back from the hit, "Um, ouch." I said, rubbing my arm.

"Get used to it you big baby." Rainbow cooed, nuzzling my neck.

I'll try Dashie. As i thought that, a pop sounded and a small scroll appeared above the table near Cadence who grabbed i in her magical grasp, that still weirded me out even after enduring it for four years. I watched as Cadence unrolled it, reading it at light speed as she always did, I wondered who read faster, Candy or Twi... I need to pit them against each other and see who reads faster. hehehe, that would be pretty fun I think.

"Oh, this is interesting." Candy chimed, handing the scroll over to me. "Its from Luna, it's for you, Lee."

Tilting my head, I grabbed said scroll and read it aloud.

To my human friend, Lee.

I hope this letter finds you well, as I have an offer for you. Given your stubbornness regarding your fight with the Dark King Sombra, I have taken it upon myself to find ways to help you with your fight. I know you have been granted Faust's Blade, the blade having chosen you as its next wielder. I speak with experience when I say this blade is no normal one, it is very difficult to use, even for one such as myself.

As such, I am offering you a chance to practice with the blade in a secluded and protected area within the castle, it is an old training area my sister and I used in the old days of war with Griffonia before the empire disappeared. It shall serve you well.

Also, I have a bit of a surprise for you once you arrive at the castle. It is something that will hopefully aid you well in your battle with Sombra. We expect you soon, and hope you remember the way back to the castle.

From your friend, Princess Luna.

PS. Game Night is still on, don't think you can chicken out Lee~

A chuckle escaped me as I finished the letter. "Well then."

"What is it?" Rainbow asked, looking at the letter herself.

"Luna wants me to come back to the castle to train with the sword, which is apparently called Faust's Blade, catchy." I told her, looking down at the blade. The shimmering orange colors across the sheath pulsed like a heart beat almost, that's weird. "And she has a surprise for me, something that'll probably help me in the battle... truth is, I'm going to need all the help I can get."

That was very true, I'll need all the help I can get, cause I have a feeling this fight... will not be an easy one.

Rainbow's Perspective - One Hour Later

After our conversation, Cadence had escorted us back to the castle. Lee had given me a hug before leaving to go see Princess Luna about training with his sword, something that I knew, deep down in my heart he would do well at. Cadence had left us to go talk to Princess Celestia, I'm not sure about what however. That just left me, alone in the castle halls to wander. I'd go watch Lee train, but I think he needs to be alone for this, and besides... I had my own agenda to attend to.

Lee was learning how to fight, he was going to fight against Sombra, and so are me and the Elements. But I felt like we needed an edge, while we each had our own abilities and strengths, something told me that wouldn't be enough. We have the Elements of Harmony, but they might not be enough for this.

I sighed, stepping outside and taking flight. I soared up into the sky and just floated for a bit, my eyes taking in the scenery. Guards moved about, doing their patrols and keeping an eye out for dangers. I saw Flash Sentry walking among the guards, one of the few guards who wasn't a Crystal Pony, he was a regular orange pony. I didn't know him well, but I knew Twilight was weird about him, saying he was like that human she had met in the Mirror world of this one where everypony was a human.

Weird as fuck.

I flapped my wings, deciding to do a fly around of the castle. The crystal structure was almost like the castle Twilight had back in Ponyville, albeit a lot smaller and more... purple? It was a big castle though, had a lot of rooms, hallways, stairs and crystals... lot of those. The Castle of Friendship it was called, where me and the other girls conducted Friendship Business, mostly involving the map. Whenever we need to do something, our cutie marks start... uh... vibrating and its... weird... but, it happens and we have to do our friendhisp solving stuff.

Hasn't happened in a while actually, ever since Gilda, nothing bad has happened.

I wonder how she's doing? I wondered, thinking back to my friend Gilda the Griffon. She was a bit of an arrogant griffon, like most of them are, and a bitch when she started douching around when she first came to Ponyville, but she changed for the better. Which I'm glad for...

She was my first friend.

Looking around the skies, I settlled on a spire nearby. Flapping over to it and doing a once around, I perched myself on top, wings extended as the wind blew past me. My eyes scanned the skies north of here, to the mountains, the clouds, and the distant city of Skyspire. As I stood up here, my thoughts turned back to how I was going to help Lee. I knew he was intent on fighting Sombra, and if he was, then so was I... this was not something he was going to do alone while I cower on the sidelines. He's my stallion, I'm his mare, we stick together, though all the good and the bad.

So... how can I help fight? I know several Pegasi fighting manuvers, I can fly faster then any pegasus, and I'm the Element of Loyalty... I furrowed my brows, frowning. And none of that helped me during the first fight with him... now did it? I groaned, hanging my head as the wind blew my mane out of my face. I need something... but what?

"~I can help you with that, Rainbow Dash.~" I heard the voice say, coming back for another round it seemed. I looked around for the voice, once more finding nothing except myself, along with the sky and clouds.

"~Who are you?~" I asked, keeping my grasp on the spire tight. This time I was in control, at least. I hope if I found myself losing control of my body, somepony would catch me if I fell from up so high.

"~If you wish for a name, call me... Faith.~" She told me as a breeze blew by, flicking several strands of my mane into my face.

"~Faith huh?~" I asked, raising an eyebrow in question. An odd name for a ghost. "~Okay... next question, why did you heal me?~" I looked up into the sky, my thoughts turning back to when the voice decided to heal me for whatever reason. "~I'm not hating it or anything like that, I'm just wondering, why?~"

"~I have my reasons.~" She told me, before I could ask anything else she cut me off. "~If you wish to help your human lover,~" I blushed at that, but said nothing. "~Head north, past the mountain and into the gorge below.~"

I looked to the north, spotting the mountains I was looking at previously and seeing the clouds, and what looked like a massive crack in the earth. "~Why are you helping me?~"

A moment of silence, then, "~Again... I have my reasons... now go.~" She told me, disappearing.

I could only sigh as I kept my eyes on the mountains to the north... If I want to help Lee... I have to go north, and into the gorge... but why? I could only shake my head before taking flight and flying back down, I circled around the tower once before heading down to one of the small towers where me and Lee were staying. Cadence was nice enough to let us have our own room, I think a part of her did that out of a sort of dark perversion of hers to have me and Lee... uh... do things. I was still looking for any hidden cameras or recording crystals. I wouldn't put it past her.

I loved Cadence like a sister, but sometimes she could be a bit... perverted, even more then Lee sometimes... I think they compare notes or something, might explain why she's like that sometimes. I shook my head as I landed on the balcony and went inside, and cantering over to a desk I quickly grabbed some parchment and a quill before dipping it in ink and writing out a quick note. Once I was satisfied, I rolled it up and put it on the bed and flew back outside, my destination.

The Wispy Mountains.

Lee's Perspective - One Hour Later

"Uhh..." I could only gape at the four fluffy bat pones in front of me, the ponies of Luna's Night Guard were all lined side by side. four from her night guard were all fully clothed in their guard uniforms, manes neatly done in their own style and expressions stoic as Luna and I walked around them, inspecting them.

The first one was a deep charcoal black with an ebony colored mane and tail, and brightly colored gold eyes narrowed into slits. She donned her armor, which was a pretty standard form of armor for the night guard, colored a midnight blue to match Luna's coat color, and had the slitted eye on the front, the mark of the guard. On her side I saw a short sword with a small dagger near the hilt, and in her hoof I saw a long spear pointed up, like the other two. Neat looking leathery wings were folded to her sides and she nodded to me as I passed by her.

The second guard was more colorful, almost having the same colors as my sword. Her coat was a striking silverish/black color with streaks of crimson red and a darker orange color in her mane and tail that was spiked backwards, and her eyes were a cheerful red color that held a youthful innocence that I didn't expect from a guard belonging to Luna. I saw two small blade devices hanging off of her armor that could be attached to her hoof armor, I had no idea what they were though. And her armor was blackened and was fixed over what looked like a robe. She smiled at me as I passed her.

The third guard was... really big, probably bigger than the other two guards and only slightly smaller than Big Macintosh. She, yes she - I could tell because of her eyes and a not so innocent glance at certain part of her body on one pass around - was a bat pony as well, with massive leather wings, and she was carrying a hammer that was hanging off of her back. Her coat was a jet black color, with bits of fluff sticking out in tufts out from under her thick and heavy as balls looking black armor. She wore a helmet over her head that covered a curled three tone purple, pink and silver colored mane that hung in front of bright pink eyes. The mare gave me a nod as I passed by, along with a smirk.

The final mare was a more sleek built one, she had a body that reminded me of Rainbow's. Built for speed and agility, and also, for stealth it seemed given her attire. She wore a light armor made out of a shiny black metal with overlapping plates, and a bandoleer that held small shiny things that looked like bullets. Hanging off of her back, was something that made my eyes widen, it was a rifle! Or something resembling one anyway. It was long, made of wood and metal and made me think of something out of steampunk. Bolt action, a long scope and a large trigger and a small clip that was on the side. She wore a hood also, covering neon blue bangs that was swept back like her tail, her eyes gleamed in the darkness, a bright blue color that contrasted nicely with her silver coat. She winked at me as I passed.

"Do you approve, Lee?" Luna asked me as we stopped in front of them, admiring the four guards.

I crossed my arms. "Umm... well, they're decently armed, I'll give you that." I gestured to the third mare, and her giant frame. "She's massive, but still oh so adorable~" I cackled, getting a snort from her. "But I'll stop there cause I'm pretty sure can can crush my chest if she bucked me with those legs of hers." I added, getting a satisfied smirk from the mare as I looked at said legs, She could probably give Big Mac a run for his money. "But... I'm not sure what you want me to say, who are they anyhow?"

"Lee," She trotted forward, going up behind the four and standing tall as she gesturing to them. "These are your personal guard, as of now." She smiled, getting an eyebrow raise from me. "As of now, I have assigned them to guard you and aid you in your right against Sombra." She said proudly, getting the mares to stand up tall and face me.

I looked at each of them, they looked like capable fighters. So the surprise, was that she got me some backup?

"I understand that, you may be," Luna waved a hoof in a circle. "Hesitant, in accepting these four as your guards, bu-"

I shrugged, hands in my pockets. "I'll take em," I said finally, getting a shocked look from Luna.

"You... you do not oppose?" She asked me, tilting her head as the guards remained stoic.

I nodded, they looked neat! "Heck yeah, I like em!" I walked up to the cheery looking mare in the middle, the one wearing the robe and knelt down to get a good look at her. "And what is your name?" I asked, holding out my hand. "If Luna hasn't told ya, I'm Lee."

The mare smiled and took my hand, somehow giving me a firm yet gentle grip. "I am Lieutenant Gentle Breeze," She introduced, her voice reminiscent of someone of Canterlot birth, basically she sounded british which was awesome. "I am, like Princess Luna said, one of your guards, and I have sworn an oath of fealty to you and your marefriend, Rainbow Dash." She bowed her head, closing her eyes.

Whoa, that's some serious shit. I remarked mentally as I sat down in front of the four, my eyes going over GB's face. I had picked up some minor investigative interrogative skills from Law & Order, and I could tell from ho her face was relaxed and the tone in her voice she was serious about this. I looked towards the other two mares, who likewise bowed their heads. "Um, the whole fealty thing, isn't that something you do to Royals?" I chirped, looking up a Luna as I puffed out my cheeks.

The princess walked around to me, sitting down and saying, "That's something for another time Lee, for now, these four will do as you say." She told me as a smirk started to grow on my face.

"Do as I say, eh?" I asked, my smiling growing as Luna facehoofed.

"Oh no."

-ooo000=+=000ooo-
Celestia's Perspective - A Few Minutes Later

I wonder how Lee is handling his little gift Luna has given him? I wondered as I cantered to the training room in the castle, passing by several guardsponies and crystal pony workers. I gave each one a smile and a nod as they passed by me, going about their duties. The light from the sun peering in through the windows seemed to bounce off of the crystals, the light radiating off of them and creating a beautiful lighting that filled the halls and the castle itself with a beautiful sight.

I couldn't help but smile...

Sadly that smile quickly faded as I heard something coming from the training room.

"This is ridiculous!" I heard from inside.

"Come on, lemme ride ya!" I heard Lee whine.

"No way!"

"Well you did swear an oath to me, so I do believe I am allowed to ride you whenever I please."

"Yes sir, I did, but not to be ridden!" A mare cried in a rather tomboyish voice.

Oh sweet Faust. I groaned, what was Lee doing? And should I be concerned?

"~its Lee, of course you should be concerned.~" A little voice told me in the back of my head.

"Touche." I remarked, shaking my head as I trotted over to the door and flicking my head to the right, I opened the door. I expected to see... something unsavory, after all, Lee - along with Cadence - is a bit of a perverted mess. I expected... something disgusting, something that would have violated Lee's relationship with Rainbow Dash...

Instead I found Lee sitting precariously on a large bat mare's back, his sword held outward as he cried. "Onward to battle my steed!"

I swore I heard something crack within the mare's mind, her eye twitching. "Princess Luna, permission to buck him off."

"Hmm..." Luna hummed in thought, before nodding. "Granted."

"Wait, wha-" The mare reared up, stomping onto her front hoofs and launching Lee off of her as she kicked her legs out and sent him flying across the room. "ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS!"

*CRASH-BANG-THUD*

I walked into the room, my hooves announcing my presence, all four guards turned to me and bowed. "Princess." They bowed as I came in.

I nodded, "Rise." They did so as I turned to Luna, who was smiling my way. "I take it these four are the ones you have chosen to acompany Lee?"

My sister nodded, pointing to the four as they stood in a neat line. "Yes," She pointed to the one donning a robe under armored plates. "This is First Lieutenant Gentle Breeze, of the Mages." Said mare bowed her head my way, her eyes glowing for the briefest of seconds.

A Thestral Magic user? I have not seen one of them for centuries. It was not unheard of for creatures who were not natural born magic users to find a way to wield the arcane forces, I remember a thousand years ago there was a university built in Hollow Shades that taught many Thestrals there how to wield the darker forces of magic. I do not know what happened to it though, but it seems it is still teaching to this day if a Thestral is here and can wield a magicka.

"The larger mare Lee attempted to ride-" Luna started as said mare snorted, flicking her ears. "-is Captain Breaking Dawn, of the Berserkers."

Captain Dawn looked pleased with the announcement that she was a part of the Berserkers. She was a very well built mare, plenty of muscle and carrying a large hammer, possibly too large for any normal pony to wield.

The next was the pony that had the strange long pole on her back and wearing a hood, she winked in my direction, making me raise an eyebrow. "This is Second Lieutenant Sharp Sight, of my newly established Rifle Corps." Luna told me proudly, the mare likewise looking proud of herself for being a part of such a division.

Rifle Corps? I looked the mare over from where I stood, she looked like she had a fast flyer's body and could very easily blend in with a crowd should the need arise. I looked at the weapon on her back, no doubt a concoction created by one of Luna's researchers after she learned of Lee's world and their unique weapons. That must be a rifle, judging from the length and the scope... long range perhaps?

My thoughts were cut off as Luna pointed to the final Thestral, the one who was looking my way with a small smile. I could see a small badge on her armor that labeled her as a Major, she must be the leader given her rank and stature. "And finally, we have Major Black Heart, from the 33rd Armored Division."

The Major stepped forward as Lee attempted to climb out of the armor pile he fell into, she looked at me with a smile and bowed her head. "We will do our best to protect both Lee and the Element of Loyalty, your highness."

I nodded to her as Lee sauntered over, a newly formed bruise on his forehead and a dumb smile on his face. "I have no doubt that you will do your best." I told her, smiling in return.

"So..." Lee looked toward Luna, a smirk on his face as he asked, "I believe you said we would be doing some training... care ta explain?"

I stood to the side and watched as my sister's eyes started glowing purple, the four guards took to either side of me, all watching as my sister conjured a pair of blades to flank her on either side. The magic from her horn engulfing the ghastly looking blades of the night matron.

Lee's smirk fell, "oh my..."

Rainbow's Perspective

"Jeez it's cold up here, and I'm a pegasus for crying out loud!" I grumbled as I flapped my wings and soared through the mountains. I had left the castle and entered into the mountain range, and now I was freezing my tail off, crap! I was used to such high altitudes, more so than any most pegasi were capable of, and as such I was used to the cold. But the cold in this mountain, it felt different. Almost constricting, it got up under my fur and nipped at my flesh, making me shiver.

Somehow I had flown into a stretch of unknown territory, a part of Equestria that was completely off the map. I felt it when I passed by the mountain... I wasn't in Equestria anymore, I was somewhere else entirely. The snowfall was intense, the winds strong and my vision surprisingly little to zero. I had extremely good vision, all pegasi did, but now that counted for jack shit in this blizzard, speaking of which, where did this even come from?! I don't remember any storms of blizzards scheduled for today.

"~You're getting closer~" I heard the voice speak to me, seemingly echoing off of the winds surrounding me.

"What do you mean I'm close?!" I called out, I had no idea if she could hear me or not.

"~Look down, Rainbow Dash.~"

I shook my head, knocking off a small pile of snow as I peered down through the harsh winds, down below I could make out a chasm I hadn't seen before. She told me there was one, but I didn't think I would come up on it so soon. I had expected to fly for a while longer before finding it. it went down far, but if I wanted to help out Lee, and save everypony, then I had to go down there. "Alright then, bring it on!" I yelled, folding my wings to my sides as I dived down, flying down hard and fast, soaring past wisps of snow and whatever clouds were down here.

I kept falling, and at the last moment when I entered the chasm I flared out my wings, slowly my descent and leveling out. I felt the wind rush past me and I felt my wings strain against the g-forces, eventually I stopped and I managed to get a look around. The rock walls looked like every other rock wall, but these were covered in ice and snow. Small ice creatures scurried away as I landed on the ground, the cold chill somehow even worse down here then it was up above.

I started forward, my eyes adjusting to the darkness surrounding me. I could hear some small critters scurrying around in the dark, knocking over pebbles as I intruded on their territory. What was down here that could help me?

"~There are plenty of things down here Rainbow,~" the voice told me. "~Most are hidden, but for you, the light will show you the way.~"

"~What light?~" I asked, it was pitch black down here! The sunlight was barely giving me anything to work with, and it was rapidly getting aggravating. But then, I started seeing a glint of light from up ahead, "Oh." I murmured, trotting towards it. Only to end up slipping and falling down, away from the light. "Fuck!" I screamed, flaring out my wings and trying to stop falling, but it failed as it felt like I was being pulled down by some unseen force...

Of course it was unseen, it was once again, pitch black down here! I couldn't see shit!

"Damn it damn it damn it!" I cursed as I fell into the blackness.

Lee's Perspective - One Hour Later

"Not cool not cool not cool!" I yelled as I ducked under a swing Luna threw at me, I felt the top part of my hairs being singed off by her blade's flame. "Jesus Christ!" I cursed as I rolled to the side, barely blocking Luna's downward slash. She was going all out!

"Put your back into it!" Luna yelled as she swung again, the sheer force of her attacks nearly snapping my arm.

"I thought you said training, not MURDERING!" I cried as I did a leg sweep and somehow knocked her off of her hooves before getting up and running away, heading towards the wall.

"And where do you think you are running to?!" Luna yelled as she gave chase, her hooves stomping behind me as she cackled.

I bit my lip as I sprinted faster, as soon as I reached the wall I jumped at it, trying to scramble up the wall and do an epic backflip... only to fuck it up and fall down onto my ass. "I meant to do that!"

A sigh and I saw Luna behind me, before both swords came crashing down. I instinctivly closed my eyes as both of them went into the floor next to my head on either side. I could feel the intensive icy hot sensation next to my ears. I opened my eyes and msiled sheepishly, as Luna peered down at me with a disappointed expression. "Lee," The princess started. "How do you expect to fight Sombra if all you do is run away?"

I frowned, "I have a plan for attack."

"And that is?"

"Juke."

"Juke?"

"Juke."

"Prey tell, what is a juke?" Luna asked me, tilting her head.

I facepalmed, "seriously? Luna, a Juke is that thing you're always doing to me in that knock off of Call of Duty you guys have. Call of Colt, or something like that."

Luna made a face of recognition, eyes widening as she smiled brightly. "Ah, you mean the move that I utilize that involves stabbing you when you come around a corner!" She cheered, laughing like a school filly.

I only gave her a flat look, one that told her I was not amused. "That is called Juking, it is a move that some people use to troll others, IE, that you use to troll me. The ever so lovable human, Lee Jacobson!" I yelled, shakig my fist at the princess.

"Your last name is Jacobson?" Celestia asked from where she was sitting, the four guards of mine were conversing with each other, over what, I wasn't sure.

"Yeah, why?" I asked, sitting up as Luna yanked her swords out of the floor and swirled them about like a pro. I looked over at Celly, only to see her look down, her eyes closed and a frown on her face. "Uh, Celly?"

She looked up, eyes wide before she composed herself. "It is nothing," She said, standing up and trotting over to the door. "I shall return shortly, continue with your training Lee." She told me, disappearing out of the door and down the hall. The sound of her hooves fading away into nothing.

I watched her leave, my sword resting on my shoulder as I turned to Luna. "You know what that was about?" I asked, raising an eyebrow in her direction. Was she weirded out by my last name? Yeah, while it's may not the best name in the world, its still my name.

Luna, however said nothing about the matter, only turning to me and lifting up her sword to point at me. "We shall continue with your training Lee, now..." She held her swords away from her, blades pointed to either side as she sent a glare in my direction. "Hold your sword up," I did as instructed, holding it with two hands. Proper Katana etiquette required two hands. That one Wolverine movie taught me that. "Good, now defend!" She cried as she suddenly swung one of her swords at me, I barely got my blade up in time to block it.

But thankfully I did, and the sword clashed with mine sending a wave of sparks flying. I held under her attack, my instincts kicking in and telling me to push back, and push back I did! I pushed back against her blade, Luna smirking lightly as her other blade came around making me duck. I felt the sword nearly clip my hair again and I scowled, jeez, this is training, no need to try and actually kill me Luna!

Looking towards Luna's legs, I smirked as I realized I could do something here. Pushing back on her sword I moved my legs to the side and rolling on my hip I swept them under Luna's hooves, but she just reared up. And in that split second she did, I shot up and grabbed her by the barrel, pushing against her. Before I knew it, she fell back, her swords falling from her grasp and landing to the floor, Luna fell onto her back, and dragged me with her, and before you knew it, we ended up in a comical situation with me on top of her.

...

I stared into bright blue orbs... "Sup." I smirked, and I was then rewarded with a punch to the face and sent flying back. I skidded across the floor where I hit the wall, my eyes spinning and my head swimming. "Ouchy."

Luna merely sighed, standing up but not without a blush adorning her face. She grabbed both of her swords and made them disappear. "We shall continue again later, for now I wish to see what my sister is up to." Without another word she turned towards the door and left, leaving me alone with the guards.

I looked over at them, shrugging as I stood up and sheathing my sword. "So... anything you guys want to do?" I asked, I wonder if they did anything fun?

I got a collective headshake.

"Balls." I groaned, slumping my shoulders as I felt a weird heat sensation from my back. Shaking my shoulders I started for the door, the guards falling in step behind me.

We stepped out into the halls, walking through them with nary a bit of conversation. Breaking Dawn trailed behind me, Black Heart was in front, with both Sharp Sight and Gentle Breeze on either side of me. They walked in formation, a nice easy formation. I took the time to look at the walls, my thoughts turning back to the training session. It was only an hour of slashing and getting my ass handed to me, and I cursed my lack of decent sword fighting abilities. You think I would have some good sword skills...

Yeah, I'm actually for some stereotypes, but unfortunately those did not apply to me at all.

Luna taught me how to wield one properly, and some stances she knew... but those mostly applied to ponies and minotaurs, and they barely fit me. I had to show her a few human stances, one that I nearly laughed at when she tried to mimic them. Most of the ones I used were from movies and games, while accurate to a degree, didn't help me any with fighting off Luna's insane style of fighting. She was fast, brutal and unforgiving in her attacks, hell I think she got lost in her own little world there for a minute.

If I can't fight her, what good can I do if I do go up against Sombra? I shook my head.

I need to stay strong and keep my head in the game... not only does my life depend on me being able to fight well, but my friends also. I had to train with Luna, she said she could help me, and I was going to do it!

"~I may help you as well, if you so wish for it.~" I head a voice in the back of my head say, making me stop.

"Did you guys hear that?" I asked my guards as they stopped to look at me, I cupped a hand to my ear and listened.

"~You won't find me, not that easily.~" I heard the voice say again.

Seriously? Voices in my head... not sure how I feel about this! I looked around again, my guards doing the same.

"Are you sure you hear something sir?" Gentle Breeze asked me, her slitted eyes scanning the area.

I nodded back. "Oh yeah I do." Looking up at the ceiling. "Alright, come on out ghosty!"

"~As you wish, Lee.~"

Suddenly the air in front of me felt super hot and I yelped, falling back as my sword shook. My guards came to my sides, instantly pulling out their weapons as something flashed into being in front of us. The air around me felt hot, like... really fucking hot. Beads of sweat trailed down my brow as I saw the hall in front of me was covered in a wall of white, my eyes burned from just looking at it. But in the middle of it, I saw the silhouette of something... a pony from the shape and size.

The figure stepped forward, the white fading into nothing. The floors behind the pony were on fire, parts of the curtains and even a few vases melting into slags of flaming piles. The pony before me was... hot... and I mean that in both a metaphorical and literal sense. She was a mare, judging by the... uh... curves and eyelashes, and a pegasus pony. Fire red eyes pierced into my own, making me sweat profusely.

Who is this?

"Hello Lee," she spoke, her very words carrying over like flames. "My name... is Magma Blast."
