Fallout: Equestria - Heart of the Goddess .
Ch.1
Load Full StoryNext ChapterIt was a beautiful day in Manehattan, one of those pleasant, warm and windless .
Not to mention the fact that it was a day off for the local gun manufacturing company, the Cog's Armaments .
The inn, a pile of sheets stuck on an old decaying building was full of workers, and even they were full, but of money to spend on whiskey, apple cider and other alcohol to drown the effort and awareness of working for one of the meanest ponies that the megaspells had spared .
However, it wasn't a problem for the innkeeper, that day .
Lots of drunks, lots of money...
" Hey, bartender !"
And a lot of pain in the ass .
A regular customer, a pony with a mane dirt of oil and a yellowish coat, always drunk and very whiny .
The innkeeper, Thin Chain, a ghoul, approached the pony and, after taking a deep breath, began to speak with him .
" What is it this time ?"
" This whiskey sucks ! I want to be refunded !"
" … really ?"
Knowing that the pony was just a whiny, Thin Chain pointed with her hoof other three empty bottles and, sarcastically, she asked him a question .
"Even those bottles were so bad ?"
Probably, it was a bad days for the yellowish pony .
The pony stood up and took Thin Chain by the mane, banging on the counter in front of the two and holding her head with a hoof, while pointing a gun .
" Listen to me, you kind of a ugly walking corpse, or you give me back my money, or I swear I'll -"
The pony was unable to finish the sentence that he was without one of the hind hooves .
Among his excruciating cries of pain and the blood spurted, he saw a huge white unicorn, with a cybernetic leg and, apparently, without the left cheek, coming towards him angrily .
" First, the customer has hardly ever reason. Second, if the customer disturbs other customers he will be escorted out by kicks in his ass ! And third..."
The pony on the ground felt something cold and sharp on the neck .
It wasn't a good sign .
" No one call my sister a walking corpse, you subspecies of ugly, rotten scumbag ."
The yellowish pony was praying the unicorn to let him go, and that he would never come into the inn anymore .
Obviously, the unicorn wasn't minimally listening, and was, instead, preparing to finish it .
" Bone Saw !" Shouted Thin Chain, " Don't do it !"
" And why ? This son of a bloatsprite would kill you if I hadn't arrived in time !"
Thin Chain looked down, speechless by her brother.
" Please ..." said the yellowish pony , almost half bled and crying, " I... I will c-change city, I swear! Please don't kill me !"
Bone Saw, if somewhat reluctantly, decided to let the pony go and took him out of the inn, leaving him with two customers who had offered to take him to hospital.

later, that night, after closing the local and having activated the alarms, the two went to their apartments above the Scrambled Wings.
Although it wasn't the best place that that sewer hole of Manehattan could give them, it was still better than where they lived as foals.
Thin Chain was still angry with his brother, and Bone Saw felt the same feelings towards his beloved sister.
" I would have killed him ."
" That's what you say ."
" We were born and raised in Fillydelphia, Sawie. Do you really think I couldn't manage to resolve the situation ?"
" I remind you that I'm the one who, between you and me, risk his own skin !?"
Inside the room, a deep silence fell down. The day had gone completely wrong, and the following day the two would have to discuss with the local authorities and with those of the Cog's.
Or both.
Without even looking at each other, the two stretched on their beds and turned off the lights, looking for, if not to sleep, at least to relax a bit.
" At least you were close to something to break his head on ?"
"... I had one of my hoofs on one of those bottles that asshole had drained. A few seconds and I would knocked him out ."
" Well done, my Thinny ."

Sultriness, air laden with toxic fumes and clouds full of ashes that almost covered the sun, that's how the day was for the workers of Steelhoover, the "Little Fillydelphia", as it was called by the locals, a concentration of slaves and desperate, to work in the biggest venue of the Cog's, in appalling conditions and risking their lives every day.
And in his office, Melting Cog, the undisputed president of the Cog's, a ghoul dressed in a pre-war suit all patched up, was arguing with a quartet of his slavers partners of some problems encountered in Manehattan.
"My dear fellow, may I know what's happening in Manehattan ?"
"You tell him ." Whispered one of the slavers to another.
"Fuck you, he's gonna kill me !" whispered the another.
"You ! Tell me what's happening in Manehattan, now !"
"Well... uhm... I don't know how -"
The slaver even managed to finish speaking that found himself with a bullet in his head.
"Now, you filthy, stupid bastards, or you answer me or you need to deal with Broken Horn ." said threatening and with clenched teeth Melting Cog.
After a minute of silence, everyone present began to yell something confused on a stallion and an inn, but with all that noise, the ghoul couldn't understand anything.
To fix everything, Melting Cog took the microphone of the facility's speakers and shouted the name of his most trusted mercenary.
From the large office window behind him, entered a reddish alicorn, with a lightweight battle armor and a kind of metal plate anchored to the horn. The alicorn landed in front of the slavers, muting and paralyzing them in fear of being killed by that beast.
"Now, one at a time, can someone tell me what you were talking ? Who is this "unicorn" you were talking about !? "
"Sorry, uh, boss," said, raising a hoof, a slaver, "from what little we seemed to understand, there is an innkeeper who... well... bated up some of your workers, all here. "
"It's true! is a giant unicorn, white and bald!"
"Yeah, sir, It's high as... well... as Broken Horn, I swear !"
Melting Cog began to think.
This mysterious innkeeper has been a problem in recent months, but on the other hand the headquarter of Manehattan began to be profitable only recently, so the problem could also be dealt with another time, more calmly. Also because there was the other question, more important of the loss of a few months of profit.
But he judged that it was better to do something right now, so at least the innkeeper wouldn't have caused problems later.
"Broken Horn, take a couple of mercenaries with you and go find this innkeeper, and remember to bring him my regards ."
Having said this, Broken Horn nodded and flied away, out of the window.
"And you all," said again irritated Melting to the slavers, " if you don't have to do something, at least try to fix my window !"
