(May,4,1945, USS Morrison, Okinawa, Japan, Lt Torian Scotterian POV)

As a 21 year old Lieutenant aboard the Fletcher-Class Destroyer, The USS Morrison, I had my fair share of seeing how nasty the war could get, but there was no one else who always had my back than Jerry Vinstile. We have been good war buddies since training and fought along side one another throughout the war. I`ll start from the beginning.

I entered service aboard the Morrison since 1943, She was a beautiful destroyer since she was built a few months ago. During the campaign on Guadalcanal, We have fought many Japanese warships trying to regain control the island and Henderson field. The Marines captured the airstrip on their first assault on the island and the Japanese tried over and over to recapture it. There were times when we attacked them in 'The Slot', which was a wide channel that runs from Guadalcanal to the Japanese base on Rabaul.

When Guadalcanal was ours, We headed North to the Philippines and fight off any enemy resistance at Luzon and Manila. It was not long before the Philippines were won then it was to the Marianas, Samar, Palau, Peleliu, Saipan, Guam, and finally Leyte Gulf, which was the bloodiest of naval battles we have ever encountered and the introduction to the Japanese newest, deadliest weapon, Kamikazes, suicide planes rigged to explode to destroy our fleet.

In April of 1945, it was time for the invasion of Okinawa, but it would not be easy knowing that this is near the Japanese home islands and they know this territory far better than we did and a battle does not come lightly as we have lost many marines and army troops on the island. But this is where everything changed forever.

It was May,4,1945, In the heat of battle, Me and Jerry were at our 50 caliber MGs shooting at the attacking aircraft surrounding our fleet after an AA gunner was killed, so I assumed control. Every sailor knew how relentless the Japanese can be and how desperate they are to turn back the tides. But as we blazed the enemy, I saw a B5N2 'Kate' broke through the AA fire and flew into the destroyer, I was only able to damage it but the plane kept coming until it slammed into the #1 funnel and bridge possibly obliterating anyone inside it.

Almost 2 minutes later another plane came close to crashing into the Morrison, but I shot the plane down, but the plane exploded as it hit the water and shrapnel flew towards me, One 3 inch piece of shrapnel lodged itself above my left eye. Then 3 more kamikazes rammed the ship like torpedoes and the Morrison became a floating fire of wreckage and it only took less than 3 minutes to sink. As I abandoned ship, I saw Jerry being picked up by LT 046.

I tried to swim as fast as I could but I was sucked more than 20 feet from the surface before the superstructure of the Destroyer`s #2 funnel slammed into me and I faded into the darkness, but I never knew that fate had other plans for me.

(Horseshoe Bay, Equestria. Twilight`s POV)

I was out with all my friends on a nice picnic at Horseshoe Bay and we enjoyed the lovely summer breeze as Rainbow Dash and Applejack began to compete against each other, Pinkie building sculptures out of sand, Fluttershy was studying the marine life on the shore, and Rarity was sunbathing on the beach.

Me and my friends had recently saved the Crystal Empire from King Sombra, an evil unicorn king who tried to reclaim the Crystal Empire. Now it reflects all the light and love across Equestria thanks to my brother, Shining Armor and his wife, who is also my Sister-in-Law, Princess Cadence. Princess Celestia sent a letter for us to take a little vacation from the saving Equestria and enjoy ourselves. My friends and I picked Horseshoe Bay because of the beautiful beaches.

Applejack and Rainbow were tired and hot from their competitions they had to see who was better and I can tell from their sweaty faces and the looks of them passing out.

"How doggy, I`m as hot as a rattlesnake in the desert." Applejack said in her southern accent.

"I agree with ya there." Rainbow agreed.

"Hey want to come inside my sandy beach hut?" Pinkie offered. "It has an AC."

Both Applejack and Rainbow Dash looked at each other with a puzzling look and went inside, to their surprise there was an actual AC unit inside her hut and Pinkie only smiled from ear to ear.

"Where did ya- never mind." Applejack diminished the question, knowing that there was no logical explanation for it.

"Hey- um Twilight, um I was searching the beach for new creatures and um I found something laying on the beach and um I was wondering if you wouldn`t mind if you took a look at it?" Fluttershy said timidly.

I honestly wanted to study something outside Equestrian history, spells, and creatures and look at something foreign. All my friends gathered around to see what was happening.

"What seems to be happening, Twilight darling?" Rarity asked in her polish voice.

"Fluttershy said she found something on the beach and we are going to check it out." I said with enthusiasm.

"Sounds like a boring egghead thing." Rainbow groaned unamused.

"Who knows what this thing is and if it is a creature we have never seen before, Celestia knows what could happen." Twilight said as she thought about the possibilities.

"Alright, fine if it attacks, I`m going to give it a taste of the pain-bow." Rainbow said pressing her hooves as if she were ready for a fight.

"OK, Fluttershy can you lead us to where you saw this thing you mentioned?" I asked. She nodded and we all followed our friend almost 5 minutes up the beach before we saw something blue on the sand.

"What is that thing?" Rarity asked trying to get a better view.

"Only one way to find out." Rainbow said as we all moved closer to the object. It was pale with black hair on it`s head, no horn or wings, had some torn clothing and had a piece of some shiny object across his left eye.

"What is this thing, Twilight?" Fluttershy asked a bit frightened.

"I`m not sure Fluttershy, but what ever it is we need to help it." I said concerned on helping this creature.

"But, Twilight, what if it`s dangerous and attacks?" Rarity asked with a little fear.

"We have the Elements of Harmony remember silly?" Pinkie said happily.

"That`s right, now lets get this thing back to Ponyville." I said as we all worked together to find out more about this bizarre creature.
