(King Sombra`s POV)

I reached the Crystal Empire at night so I can use the darkness as my cover, but as I was about to enter, the love shield was once again being formed to keep me out. Not wanting to hesitate like last time, I rushed toward the Empire and I managed to jump in before the shield was too high. Now inside the Empire, I started plotted out a 3-part plan:

1. Steal the Crystal Heart.
   
2. Lock away the Prince and Princess that rule over.
   
3. Get the ponies I fought earlier to do my bidding.

With my plan in place, it was time to execute it. I saw the Crystal Heart in its place with 3 guards standing around it. being as slick as I am, I grabbed a rock and tossed it over to a nearby alleyway and used my magic to manipulate shadows to form a ponys and make it seem as if the pony was running away. The plan worked as the guards shouted.

"Stop in the name of the Prince and Princess!" and all of them ran off into the alley. With the Crystal Heart now unprotected, I swiped it into my possession and began part 2. I went inside the castle and used my dark magic to locate the rulers, Once I found them I slowly opened the door and saw them asleep. I slipped into the room and casted anti-magic and anti-flight spells upon them before they woke up with the princess screaming.

"Hey, what are you doing here, S-Sombra?" the prince said sternly before going into confusion.

"Yes, I have returned and now you must pay for what you`ve done." I said with a evil glare as I charged my horn and teleported them into the Crystal Dungeons.

After teleporting the Prince and Princess, Guards rushed in because of the Princess`s screams.

"Stop in the name of the." The guard shouted before I used my dark magic to mind control them.

"You will obey me and do as I command." I said as my new guards saluted in understanding.

"What shall our orders be, my king?" The guard asked.

"Place the Empire in total lock down and make sure nopony enters or leaves without a search to try and overthrow me." I ordered as the guard saluted and ran off to tell the others of their new orders.

With everything in place, I went onto the balcony and changed the Crystal Empire into my kingdom I knew and I knew that I had finally won and reclaimed what was rightfully mine.

(3rd POV)

On board a train heading to the Crystal Empire as the morning began, Everypony was asleep, except for one, Minuette, who was staring into the night and remembering all the fun times she and Torian had. She let out a sad sigh before somepony walked in, Twilight and sat next to her.

"Hey Minuette, you doing alright?" Twilight asked with concern for her friend.

"Oh yeah, everythings great, its just that I can`t seem to sleep." Minuette trailed off still a bit sad.

"Minuette, you know we are friends, why dont you just tell me whats wrong?" Twilight asked to help her friend.

"Twilight, I miss Torian and I just cant stop thinking about him knowing hes under Sombra`s control, and I really want to be with him for the rest of my life." Minuette said with panic in her voice before sobbing a little.

"Dont worry, well get our friend back and defeat King Sombra." Twilight comforted her friend.

"Thanks Twilight, that means alot." she sniffed and smiled a little.

"Next stop Crystal Empire!" The conductor called out as They all looked outside to see the Crystal Empire under Sombra`s rule. Minuette began to fear the worst.

"It`s too late." She said about to cry again.

"No it`s not, we still have the Elements of Harmony to defeat him with." Twilight said confidently.

The train pulls into the station and the ponies began to disembark and save their friend. As they approached the Empire, they saw the Crystal Ponies in chains looking sad.

"Oh...my... those poor ponies." Fluttershy said with sadness.

"Lets kick Sombra`s flank." Rainbow said raring to go.

"Now hold on there, we need a plan to pass those guards." Applejack said looking at Twilight, knowing she`ll have a plan.

"OK, Ill try and teleport us all to the doors of the throne room, so we wont run into any guards." Twilight said as the group agreed to the plan.

Minuette looked at the castle where her boyfriend was in trouble and thought to herself.

"I will save you Torian, I won`t let you down."

With the plan in place, it was time for King Sombra`s reign to end. Twilight charged up her horn using as much energy and magic she can muster and teleported everypony to the doors that lead inside the throne room.

"Alright ponies, lets do this." Rainbow said as Twilight was catching her breath from the amount of magic and energy she used. Rainbow busted through the door and as if they were hallucinating, they saw King Sombra holding the Crystal Heart in one hand sitting upon his throne.

"Well Well Well, It seems as if I was right to know you would try to overthrow me and reclaim your friend." Sombra said getting off the throne.
"But it seems you have a choice to make, either surrender to me, or I smash the Crystal Heart and banish you all to the Dungeons with the Prince and Princess."

"My brother and Sister-in-law are in the Dungeons!" Twilight shouted in fear and tried to find a way to stop Sombra but she couldn`t think of anything and was about to surrender when all of a sudden, A window shattered and to reveal Princesses Celestia and Luna, wearing armor and wielding spears as if they were ready for a battle. The ponies cheered to see their rulers help them stand up against Sombra.

But in the moment, Sombra threw the Crystal Heart to the ground causing it to shatter into 5 pieces. The ponies gasp knowing that the Crystal Hear is what spreads light and love across all of Equestria.
