(Canterlot, Equestria Torian`s POV)

It was the time of year what everypony looks forward to, The Grand Galloping Gala. From what I was told is that every year the gala turns into a catastrophe. Which is pretty hilarious when I think about the chaos and even Discord would be pleased. I so happen to be invited myself by the Princess for my few counts of heroic acts such Stopping a Changeling invasion and Stopping King Sombra and my brother.

Rarity made me a tuxedo to wear at the Gala and for safety reasons, I brought my obsidian sword. Once me and all my other friends were dressed and ready we headed to Canterlot, We reached the castle with haste and showed the guards our tickets before entering to see Celestia in a beautiful gown herself.

"Why hello there Twilight and friends." Celestia smiled warmly as we all replied.

"So this is what a grand ball is like, seems alot like some of the parties I`ve seen back in America." I pointed out as I looked at the scenery.

"I hope you will have a grand time, Enjoy yourselves at the Gala." Celestia said as I we all split up to do our own things.

Twilight stayed with Celestia, Rainbow Dash went to hang out with the Wonderbolts, which were alot like the Blue Angels Squadron back on Enterprise, Rarity went to talk with a stallion named Fancy Pants, Pinkie went to eat at the food table, Fluttershy was in the Castle Gardens, and Applejack was selling some of her apple-related food. I on the other hand went to the band to see Octavia, the cellist who survived the Warrior playing with a new band.

Then I remembered a classical song my Dad used to play during Thanksgiving or Christmas that was always a pleasure to hear. After the song ended I went up on stage and borrowed the piano and began to play, luckily the rest of the band caught onto the tune and began to play along.

As the song ended, I never realized that we attracted a crowd who began applauding. I took the leave and bowed in gratitude. I got off the stage where I was stopped by Octavia.

"That was quite the song we played, Do you happen to know what its called?"

"The Entertainer, By famous pianist Scott Joplin." I replied.

"Well, I see why it got it`s name, the crowd simply adored it." Octavia pointed out.

"Yeah it did, it was something I loved to listen to during the holidays back on my world, I listened to it so much I actually can play flawlessly." I explained.

"Yes, well I should get back to the band and if you so happen to know anymore songs, please dont hesitate because wed love to hear some." Octavia said about to leave.

"I`ll be sure and do so." I said as I went to get something to eat.

As I was about to grab some food, A dark crystal appeared right from the center of the entire room and the inevitable showdown was about to commence. Jaylen stepped out of the crystal, wielding his shadow sword and took a look around the room as ponies looked at him with fear, I quickly hid away to survey the situation and not instantly leap into action.

"Well, well, well, If it isnt the Grand Galloping Gala, the biggest party in Equestria, sorry to intrude, but Im afraid party`s over for I shall take over Equestria after I tie up a few loose ends." Jaylen said with a smirk as Princess Celestia, The Royal Guard, and the Element Bearers came in.

"Jaylen, you shouldn`t have shown up here, your outnumbered, Surrender or Die." A guard said, but Jaylen just held up his hand and choked the Guard til he stopped breathing.

"I`m conquering this place and there will be no one to stop me." Jaylen activated his dark magic and the Royal Guard charged or flew at him with their spears at the ready, but unfortunately failed as some met an untimely death by crystals impaling them.

The guest began to panic and run to safety while Celestia and the Element Bearers began to try and use their magic, but as futile as it was, they all were pinned to the wall. Jaylen reverted back into his original form and laughed with triumph as I came out and he stopped.

"Jaylen, It`s just you and me now."

"Oh Yes, the battle of brother against brother, how fun it will be to watch you die like the rest of my so-called family." Jaylen said with a smirk.

"Jaylen, its not too late to change, we can be a family again and be brothers again, please, I want the brother I knew back, not some corrupted monster." I said begging, but to no avail.

"Jaylen is gone, once I take the throne, I shall be known as King Darkness." Jaylen praised as I let one tear drop before showing the anger upon my face.

"So be it." Was all I said before wielding my obsidian sword and got to my battle stance.

"Let the fun begin." Jaylen smiled as he charged for the first attack.

I blocked the sword and went into defensive, blocking and evading his attacks. I looked and saw there was barely any room for me to fight so then flew up a little and flew away to find a more spacious area since crystals were all over the place.

"Where so you think you are going?" Jaylen asked before assuming his shadow form and chasing me.

I flew as fast as I could trying to get to higher ground and came upon the throne room where I was facing away from the throne while Jaylen faced toward it.

I then charged in while Jaylen volleyed shadow tentacles to smack me but ended up missing and being deflected as I closed in. I then flew up and tried to jab his head, but a tentacle uppercut me and flew back a few feet before landing on my feet. Then A tentacle screamed toward me, but I blocked it and caused it to swing around and break a few stained windows. The moonlit night shone through the broken windows as I maintained my ground and Jaylen reverted back to his original form.

I screamed in and flew to him for a quick hit and run but as I pulled out, a stinging sensation erupted in my back just below my wings causing me to fall and drop my sword. Jaylen then stepped on my wound as I held in the urge to scream he then grabbed my mis-matched wings and whispered into my ear.

"You cannot defeat me brother, this is the end, the end of you." He raised his sword in attempt to slice my wings off, but as I awaited a painful end, it never came, but the sound of running hoof steps toward us and it was Minuette who ran at Jaylen knocking him off balance and dropping his sword as he was rammed at. he soon punched my marefriend and she skidded toward the throne and laid unconsciously.

I saw her body and I thought she died, Anger flowed through my veins as I got up, ignoring the pain in my back and me and my former brother began to fist-fight. Throwing punches and kicks at one another until each of us were bruised and or had a black-eye. but Jaylen then ran at me with such force that we tumbled onto one another and out a broken window. But when we stopped, I was still safe while Jaylen held onto my left arm to avoid falling to his death.

My sword so happened to be at my foot`s reached and past it on to my free right hand, while doing so, Jaylen had fear showing into his eyes and began to beg.

"T-Torian, please, we can talk about this, please, we are brothers, family remember?"

"I recall a time when you said "so-called family" as in you don`t care about me?"

"Please, come on you know I can change please, give me a second chance?"

"Sorry, brother I tried to give you one, but after attacking my friends and possibly killing my marefriend, you don`t deserve another chance, good bye- brother."

I then had my sword at my brothers hand that held on to me and with one swift cut, his and held onto me as he plummeted about 30 feet. His screamed echoed until it was silent as I threw away his detached hand off me. Jaylen had died and me being the last of my original family, but with Jaylen gone, Sombra was still a threat to Equestria, but my biggest concern was Minuette I ran over to her and checked her over. She was still breathing, meaning she was unconscious, I was relieved and picked her up and went to see how I can save my other friends.
