(3 Days Later, Torian`s POV)

For the past 3 days have been great spending time with Jerry by trading a few jokes, Telling him about this world, and his time without me after the Morrison, but out of the blue like a kamikaze, Twilight bursts into my house with a letter from Princess Celestia which read.

"Dear Twilight and friends,

I regret to inform you that King Sombra has once again reclaimed the Crystal Empire, but he wasn`t alone. He has an army of Changelings by his side and easily conquered the Empire. I need you to head over there immediately to free the Empire once again and defeat Sombra and his Changeling army. I have faith in you.

Signed Princess Celestia."

I grabbed my sword and Jerry got the 50 caliber MG, and Twilight grabbed her friends and we met at the trains station to go to the corrupted Crystal Empire. Jerry then broke the silence during the train ride.

"So Torian, what are these Changelings?"

"Creatures that can take the form of anybody or pony it sees and are very good manipulators." I replied. "I even killed their Queen a few months back."

"So whats the plan defeating them, darling?" Rarity asked Twilight.

"I don`t know, but Sombra is our number 1 priority and we can deal with the changelings later." Twilight replied while thinking of a plan.

Meanwhile Jerry and I looked at each other and smiled thinking exactly the same thing, pretending each Changeling was a Japanese aircraft and use our guns to take them down. Jerry tossed me a gun and some ammo clips as we approached the station.

Once at the Empire, it was swarming with Changelings and the ponies were in chains. This rips my heart to see innocent lives being treated like slaves, I looked over at Jerry and he looked at me.

"You ready, old timer?" Jerry asked.

"Please, lets see if you can actually aim." I joked back at him then looked at Twilight. "OK, Twilight, Me and Jerry will provide cover for you and your friends so you can free Princess Cadence and Shining Armor, then we`ll meet you at the throne room."

Twilight nodded as I joined Jerry and we ran in like troops trying to infiltrate a bunker, got to a few crystal buildings and began to fire upon the doppelgangers. We shot a few down and caught the enemy completely off-guard, but since they have numbers on their side, some reacted quicker than others and flew straight at me and Jerry.

Our 50 caliber guns tore apart Changelings almost as fast as more came in, But as Twilight and her friends slipped in toward the castle, she signaled me that she made it and left to save her brother and sister-in-law. Jerry and I were literally having a blast since it brought up great times for us since the Morrison and the days we served onboard her.

But we had to get moving, like a soldier in a battle, I motioned Jerry to follow me toward the castle. We kept firing at the until we reached the castle doors and slammed them shut and barricaded them to hold them off.

"That was quite fun though." Jerry panted as we were catching our breathes.

"Yeah, now lets get ourselves to the throne room, that barricade won`t last forever." I said as we headed up to the throne room doors and were ready for the finally fight. Twilight and her friends soon arrived with Princess Cadence and Shining Armor from the dungeons.

When everypony and Jerry was ready, we burst through the doors and saw King Sombra upon his throne.

"Sombra, after the many encounters we`ve had this will be the last." I started as he just stared at me.

"Ah yes, I do believe this is the part where I`ll kill you and all your friends, Lets end this shall we?" Sombra then leaps from his throne and an army of Changelings poured in and attacked the elements and Jerry and I faced Sombra.

The Shadow King charged up his horn and fired a beam which I deflected with my sword and Jerry was firing at him, but had no effect and the bullets were just absorbed into him. I then charged at Sombra and tried to attack him but his dark magic formed a crystal slammed me back to Jerry.

"God, Sombras more powerful than I previously thought." I said to myself and lifted up myself off the ground. Then Sombras horn charged once more, but a more powerful spell was taking hold and time seemed to slow down as he fired his spell directly at me. I then awaited the pain to arrive, but it seemed as if it didn`t as I look to see Jerry, taking a bullet, or spell in this case for me. the magic was at his heart and he skidded a few feet and twitched a little as the dark magic flowed through his body.

"Jerry! Jerry!" I screamed hoping he would respond, but I looked at Sombra who charged his horn once more.

"Your next!" He said with a sinister smile as I got to my feet.

He shot another beam of dark magic and without thinking, I pulled my left arm out and like catching a ball, I gripped his magic. I then placed it on my sword to give it a dark magic ability. purple smoke leaked out of my eyes as the turned green and the pupils red. Sombra was surprised at this and could only watch.

"King Sombra, your reign here is over, It is now time for you to return where you once came." was all I said as I used my sword and used it to cast a spell and strip Sombra of his dark magic. I then stabbed at the floor to create a hole in the ground and forced Sombra into it and trapping him beneath the earth.

After the battle concluded, My friends fended off the Changelings and the Crystal Heart was back in place and restored the Empire once more, but I go over to my friend`s body and see that he has been in excruciating pain.

"Jerry, Can you hear me buddy?"

"G-Golden, I`m dying." Jerry responded breathing heavily.

"Don`t worry Jerry, We can still save you, let me just get Cadence and-" I was cut off by Jerry holding my shoulder.

"Its alright, I had a good run, Ive served my purpose and Im glad I was able to see you once more." A tear streaks down my face as he was about to die.

"I`m glad I was able to take that shot, You have a life here and I-I want you to l-live it, Please t-tell my tale my dear friend. Good-bye." With his last exhale, Jerry died peacefully. All the ponies were saddened by this and looked down and Applejack took her stetson off in respect.

"Twilight, write a letter of the good news and bad news and tell her to meet us at Horseshoe Bay." Was all I said as Twilight began to write, I`m willing to give my deceased friend a proper send-off.

(2 Days Later)

At Horseshoe Bay, I stood by the funeral boat where my friend was laid with an American flag, made by Rarity covering his body and the Navy hat he wore over it. Princesses Celestia, Luna, and Cadence, Shining Armor, Twilight and her friends, and Minuette stood in sorrow to mourn the loss of my fallen comrade.

After the services concluded, I slid the boat into the bay and it began to drift out to sea. I ignited the tip of an arrow and fired it from a bow, hitting the boat and the fire spread burning the body with it as I saluted in respect of my friend. On the last beach me and Jerry sat on, he told me not to wish for war, and he was right, I`ve seen more blood flow than any man or pony should see in a life time.

Author's Note

Hey ponies and bronies, Golden here and This was the sad, but noble death of Jerry Vinstire. I had no intentional plans for him in the future so I had to send him off, But its the small things in life that make people stronger and to push out of these situations.

But onto better news, Im 1 follower away from the Double Update I promised and Ill be so glad to do this and even on The Adventures of Canterlot High.
