Having been a princess for a couple of years now, Twilight receives a visit from her old mentor, Celestia. However, this is no mere meeting between friends, but rather Celestia here to tell her of an age-old tradition amongst Equestrian princesses. For while she has much in her life and has accomplished many feats, there is one thing a princess is required by this ancient tradition to have; a consort.

Naturally, Twilight is uncertain about all this, as anypony would be in her place. But, unfortunately for her, the call has already been sent, and the most notable stallions of Equestria now arrive in Ponyville to win her hoof, if they can.

For Twilight, it's going to be a strange time.
