Exploring The Mind of Pinkamena Diane Pie

The 6 mares sat back in awe, contemplating their surroundings. Pinkie Pie's mind was almost as decorated as her parties, balloons and streamers decorated on the walls. Tourist Pie grinned slightly at the 5 girls, she had taken a liking to them quickly. Tourist Pie clapped her hooves, getting the mares' attention.

"Let's begin our tour, shall we!" said Tourist Pie, dimming down the lights of the boat. She picked up a lantern that was laid on the floor, and spoke in an excited manner.

"On May 3rd of 1998, Pinkamena Diane Pie was born to Igneous and Cloudy Pie!" Tourist Pie exclaimed.

"I better start writing this down." Twilight told her friends, taking out a notepad and quill from her saddlebag. A magical aura lit around the writing quill as Twilight started to write.

"She was the youngest child of her three sisters! And the pearl of her parent's eyes." said Tourist Pie.

"Pinkie Pie had 3 sisters?" Applejack asked the 4 mares. They all shrugged as they put their attention back on the tour guide.

"As you all know! When Pinkie Pie was born, Pinkamena was in charge of Pinkie's every move!-" Tourist Pie began.

"Wait!" Rainbow Dash interrupted, causing all the Pinkie's and her friends to look at her.

"Yea?"

"What are you talking about? Of course Pinkie Pie was in charge of her movements.." Rainbow grunted, these Pinkie's confused her even more then the original. Many of the Pinkie's on the boat whispered to each other, Tourist Pie replied with a bright smile.

"You 5 are new here aren't you?"

The 5 mares nodded, relived someone had noticed.

"Well you do look different.." the tour guide agreed. Rainbow Dash almost rolled her eyes, had they just recognized that?

"Well you see, Pinkie Pie is made of 2 different subconscious mares who control her thoughts, moves, and about everything else. Their names are Pinkamena, just like Pinkie, and Surprise. Surprise was created later on, after the rainbow Pinkie Pie saw, but she is the head subconscious mare currently. Before the rainbow, Pinkamena was in charge of Pinkie Pie, and boy she was a depressed and lonely little filly. I wouldn't blame her though since Pinkamena is supposed to be a more dark and sad side of Pinkie Pie. One that others don't often see. Surprise is the Pinkie Pie that most ponies know, the hyper, funny, and party-mare side of Pinkie Pie. She's been in control ever since Pinkie got her cutie mark."

The 5 mares nodded in unison, finally understanding how everything worked. Fluttershy rose her hoof in curiosity.

"Umm..Excuse me..But if that's true, then what about Pinkie's emotions and her personality?"

"A smart question my friend. The answer is simple. Pinkamena and Surprise aren't Pinkie's only subconscious mares, there are smaller ones that get to control Pinkie, but only in rare cases. Such as Kinkie Pie, Pinkie's prankster subconscious mare, or Golden Eye, Pinkie's evil and mischievous side. These mares are hardly ever in control, though."

"That explains so much." Rarity nodded, her friends nodded in agreement.

"Any other questions?" Tourist Pie asked the group of 5, each shaking their head. "Good, then let's continue are history lesson!"

The other Pinkie's cheered at the continuation of the tour, each crossing their back hooves in a childish position, and waiting eagerly for the tour to commence.

As the tour continued, Twilight, Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy talked quietly in the back.

"So the Pinkie Pie we know is actually made up of other Pinkie's?" Rarity asked.

"Ah' guess so..?" Applejack replied uncertainly.

"Well that does explain a lot about how quickly her mood changes.." Rainbow Dash added.

"But what about this Pinkamena she was talking about, do you think that's the side of Pinkie Pie that we saw that one birthday?" questioned Fluttershy.

"Maybe.." Twilight answered." We will need to look around more to figure out for sure."

The girls nodded in agreement as they came to a stop at the end of the tour.

"And that is the tour! Please step off carefully when you reach the candy platform!"

"Candy Platform?" Rarity said before stepping off the boat. She landed on a moving platform, made of gingerbread. Rarity chuckled.

"That's our Pinkie Pie." Applejack smiled. She stepped of the boat, along with the rest of her friends.

"Watch were your going bum!".

A voice interrupted the girl's conversation, Fluttershy had unknowingly bumped into a Pinkie exiting the boat. This Pinkie looked different though, she had a short mane with black highlights and a huge frown on her face.

"I-I'm s-sorry.." Fluttershy spoke. Her face hid in her mane, as her friends came to protect her.

"Hey leave her alone!" Rainbow defended.

"Ya!" Applejack added.

"And who do you think YOU are talking to?" the short maned mare argued.

"We're talking to you!" Rainbow put her muzzle in front of the mare's face, they both growled at each other.

"Enough!" Twilight shouted, teleporting in between the 2 mares. "Apologize to each other right away!"

"But she hurt Fluttershy's feelings!" Rainbow argued. Twilight simply stared at her coldly.

"Fine..Sorry.." said Rainbow Dash. The other Pinkie only turned away." Hey! You need to say sorry, too, you brat!"

"Bully Pie doesn't do apologies." the pink mare replied.

"Bully Pie?" Rarity asked." Why are you named that?"

"Are you that dumb?" Bully Pie grimaced, Rarity frowned." I'm named that because I am the side of Pinkie that likes to bully others!"

"But why do you do it? You don't have, too!" Twilight questioned.

"Look..your new here right? You should know that all Pinkie's need to do what they were made to do! And for me, that's bullying! Besides, I like it, since that fluffy maned buffoon doesn't like me, that means I can just chill and do whatever I want all day." Bully Pie said.

"What fluffy maned buffoon? Pinkie Pie?!" Rainbow Dash asked.

"No you idiot's, Surprise.." Bully Pie snorted. She ran away before she could get questioned any further, leaving the girl's with scowls.

"Well she wasn't very nice." Applejack grunted. The 4 other mares nodded in agreement.

"Thank goodness that isn't the Pinkie Pie we know." Fluttershy smiled slightly.

"Your right." Twilight said." The Pinkie we know would never do that."

"Your right." Applejack smiled.

"Yep!" Rainbow Dash agreed.

"Well, we better go find this Surprise and Pinkamena. Then clear up this Pinkie Pie thing even faster then I thought!" said Twilight.

The 5 mares agreed before walking away from the train station and deeper into Pinkie's mind.

"Pinkamena, please pay attention for once and stop moping around." Surprise shouted to her co-worker.

The 2 subconscious mares were seated at Pinkie's control center. This is were they would control Pinkie Pie's every move and thought, and were her 2 main personalities lived.

"Who cares Surprise, your the lead subconscious, shouldn't you be working at the controls." Pinkamena replied bitterly.

"Don't you remember, Pinkie Pie is asleep!" Surprise grunted.

"Oh ya..How would I remember if YOU were at the controls!"

"Pinkamena, we've been through this!"

"Surprise, you turned Pinkie Pie into a imbecile! I should be in charge again!"

"You were in charge before! And you made life miserable!"

"One day! I'll show you Surprise! I will be the only subconscious mare! And Pinkie Pie will lead a boring, normal life like ponies should!"

Pinkamena walked through a door in the control room, slamming it behind her. This left Surprise with a fowl expression. No matter how many times she didn't want to believe it, it was true. Pinkamena would be in control one day, and she had to get ready for that.

"Protective Pie!" Surprise called. A security guard showed up at the door.

"Yes m'am?"

"You know Pinkie Pie's 5 friends?"

"Yes."

"Bring them to me.."

The guard nodded, he exited the room. Surprise sat down in a chair in the far left. She relaxed and let out the tension and stress she had from the day.

"Oh Pinkie Pie..Sweet Dreams." Surprise smiled slightly before falling into a relaxing sleep.
