Love vs. Madness

Scientific Method awoke at 6 am even though he did go sleep late. He slowly gets out of bed and walks around his new house, he walks through the kitchen, the living room, the bed room. he walks past a door, he stops and looks back,

"Where on Equestria could this door go," He thought to him self, "Could it be a basement?" After the words left his mouth a creepy, evil smile crept across his face. In a deeper voice, almost like another pony, he says,"Perfect." he starts to laugh, but then is cut short by knocking on the door, "How is it?" he asks in a normal voice.

"Um... its me... Twilight..." Twilight said hesitant, she goes to turn and run from the door, but Scientific opened it before she could flee.

"Hi, what brings you here, " Scientific said now realizing that he feels something inside him... no he can't be in love with this beautiful mare.. oh Celestia he was. this realization made him start to blush, but then quickly hides it from Twilight.

"I just wanted to come by and say sorry for running of last night," Twilight said, "It was so rude of me."

"Its ok, " Scientific said, " Would you like to get some breakfast?"

"OH, i would love to," Twilight exclaimed, this make Scientific's heart jumped, "but i have to meet my friends sorry." Scientific's heart didn't land after its jump it just fell into the dark recesses of his chest.

"oh... ok," Scientific said, " well maybe some other time, then"

"Yes, oh i have to go bye," Twilight said while trotting away. Oh she even trots beautifully, Scientific thinks in his head, but walks back to the basement. He walks to the basement door and descends into the darkness, he lights up the spacious room with his horn. He looks for a lamp and finds one, he turns it on and it ignites as do the other lamps fully illuminating the basement. Oh its so big, he thought to him self, but a deeper more sinister voice arose in his mind.

"Perfect for out test," the voice said, but where is it coming from? The only pony in the room is Scientific Method, "So spacious and dark, no pony will know about it or escape." The voice was coming from Scientific Method, but he was darker in coat and his red pupils are as small is pin pricks, an evil smile stuck on his face. He begins to laugh, louder and louder, until his coat turns lighter, his eyes turn back to normal, and the smile leaves his lips. " I must order my laboratory supplies," He says in his normal voice. He quickly runs up stairs and grabs a piece of paper and a quill, and scrawls a note to his old friend in Canterlot, who owes him a favor. the note asks this pony to send his laboratory equipment from his old house in Canterlot to his new one in Ponyville. He finishes the letter and then bolts outside.

"Hey you, the gray pegasus with a bubble cutie mark," He yelled, this made Derpy turn her head and fly to the unicorn, "Are you the messenger pegasus?"

"I sure am," Derpy said enthusiastically, " Where do you need this letter to?"

"The address is on the letter," Scientific said, " Just get it there ok?"

"Yes, siry," Derpy said just before she flies off, but hits a lamp post on the way up, "Don't worry I'm ok!" Oh god what have i done, Scientific says in his mind, i gave a very important letter to an incompetent horse. Don't worry, the Deeper Voice said, she will get it there and our old Experiments can commence! Scientific starts to laugh but stops him self since he is in public. He walks quietly to his home and eats his breakfast, now thinking of the beautiful Twilight Sparkle.

"She would be a good test subject," The Deeper Voice said, but this time out load.

"No! not her," Scientific yelled out, "You can not touch her!"

"All right, all right," The Deeper Voice said, "she is all yours, there are plenty of other ponies in Ponyville." The laughing starts, then become louder and louder until it crescendos and Scientific Method passes out on his kitchen floor blood trickling from his nose.
