Exploring A New World

The four of us followed these two legged walking pony things back to a castle passing a tree house that is actually a library. The whole time the blue one flew circles above us making sure we only walked where she wanted us to. Applejack, the orange one, also looked a little uncertain and followed behind us. She was accompanied with Rarity and Fluttershy, I believe that is the other two’s mares name. The orange one though, even if she was only a little uncertain looked ready to pounce if we so much as twitched in a way that she did not like.

I leaned over to Diana, I didn’t want anyone to hear what I was asking. Rainbow Dash gave me a questioning look but didn’t stop me from leaning to talk. Quickly, I began to whisper, “Hey Diana, I was wondering how much more power is this moon giving you?”

She looked around but only moved her eyes to make sure none of the ponies were close enough to hear her. Then whispered back, “Oh you don’t even know. Just to give you an idea of how strong it is. Usually I need a break in between my Lunar Rush unless I land a Cresent Strike before hand. Here though, I could Lunar Rush for days and I will never get tired or be out of mana. No lie I probably could go around the world with out getting tired from using my magic. That is the amount of power that is radiating off this planets moon.” That is just insane, the power being emitted from this place is so high. If that is coming from the moon, I wonder how much stronger Leona would be from the sun here. I'll save that for another expedition.

After a little while I could see a town coming in to view. The architecture was completely different then at the league itself. Though, I do think the architecture is partially along the lines of how Demacia is built. Twilight, the purple mare, turned her head to face Diana and spoke, “Diana is it?” Diana nodded. “So you’re the Scorn of the Moon? What does that mean?” With that I could see all the mares turn their heads to look at Diana, waiting for a response or they at least kept and eye on her.

Diana clearly had a look of being in deep thought of how to answer. It actually took a little bit for her to respond. I just hope she doesn’t mention that she gets power from the moon. God knows how that will end our relation if they find that out right now how strong she is. Then she began to speak, “Basically where we come from, I was exiled from my homeland because of my belief. The belief that the moon does have power, being like a god in a sense. That was a problem because in my land people only believed that only the sun could hold power and nothing else could. If anyone praised anything else besides the sun, they were converted through harsh means or even killed. If you were lucky you could escape, which is what I did. Before I left I tried to reason with the elders but they would not listen. I actually escaped during my execution, I had to kill the elders to escaped. That’s enough about my past and title. If you want more you have to earn it.” Diana began to grit her teeth more and more as she talked. By the end her mouth hardly opened at with each word. It seemed that something about it was really bothering her. She's told me her past before but she never got this worked up about it. What could have happened that she didn't tell me? Now I wasn’t expecting what she did say though, but it was better then saying, ‘you know I’m known for that because I get my power of magic from the moon. Those who don’t understand fear me because I have killed people that tried to harm me for my different beliefs and getting power.’

When Diana stopped talking, the look on the ponies faces were interesting. See up until the first time she mentioned killing, they seemed interested. After that then, they all cringed especially when she flat out stated she murdered the elders. Well she used the word killed so it doesn’t sound as harsh, but everyone on Runeterra knows that it was murder. “So um you’ve killed people?” I could hear the fear in the purple ones voice. The yellow mare practically disappeared behind Rarity. Only her eyes could be seen from behind the purple mane. I'm just glad Twilight didn't ask if Diana does get power from the moon. I guess it is a good thing that she mentioned that she has killed people. Even though that may or may not be a good thing in the long run.

“Yeah I've killed.” Diana flat out said with no emotion. Basically it came across as yeah I have, what's the big deal? That is when Fluttershy fainted and Pinkie Pie’s and Rarity’s mouth just fell open. God damn it Diana, you acting like that isn’t helping us. “Where we come from there is a considerable amount of war. It happens quite frequently.” Don’t you do it! Don’t you talk about the League. The way they are acting, they couldn't handle all the killing we do. Even if the person you kill does respond to be fully healthy again. You are still killing them and usually multiple times in a match. “All of us here are solders that have fought for our homelands and our beliefs at one point or another. Some of us have fought more than the other. Grant here…” Of coarse she has to bring me up, I just gave an awkward smile. “Is basically like our commander and helps in telling us what to do.” Shut it. Shut you mouth now please. The ponies all looked at us with fear and shock. It was mostly fear though. I think for some reason, they just realized the four of us could easily take the six of them out if we wanted too. Fuck. Now they probably think we came here for war. Double fuck. “Don’t you guys have war here?” Well at least she didn't talk about the League.

Stuttering the Twilight responded, she was clearly very nervous and scared of us now. “N… No we… we don’t. It is, well, very uncommon for war to umm... strike here. There really has only really been war two times in the last three millennia, give or take. There was this time recently when an old Lord came from Tartarus and I had to kill him to save my friends, the princesses and the world. That was more like two creatures fighting, not armies fighting each other.” Ok I take back what I said earlier. Maybe we could take all but her. “I only won though because the princesses gave me their powers before they were captured.” Never mind, we could take all six if we want to. Now the princesses on the other hand, I don’t know. “That along with the Changeling invasion was the only time we really had really had combat. The Changelings weren’t killed they were just brought down with non-lethal spells and the Power of Friendship." She stopped but it seemed more like a pause then, 'I'm done talking' kinda stop. "Now that I think about it, before I was born the two princesses had a war with the Crystal Empire against King Sombra. He was also defeated and frozen away in the ice with the Power of Friendship too. So I guess that makes it three times and not two times.”

That is when if I had something in my mouth it would have been spat out. I was holding back my laughter so hard, luckily no one saw this. Power of Friendship, really? God this place is hilarious and everything is non-lethal this, non-lethal that. What is with that? I don’t think anyone here could handle being in the League. Sorry if that is rude but really. The League basically has the power of every fucking thing except Friendship and non-lethal means. The only things that are not lethal are the healing spells and escape spells and abilities. She wasn’t kidding though when she said there wasn’t really any war or fights here. That I will give them props for, for keeping this much peace in the world. Not gonna lie, I sometimes wonder what life would be like on Runeterra if there was no war and just peace. I mean in three millenniums, only have three things that are war like and only one maybe two being an actual war. In Runeterra in that time there would probably be hundreds of wars.

As we walked in the town, it was funny. Thresh, well for lack of anything better to say, can be very very intimidating. When we walked in to town ponies went flying every which way to clear the streets as soon as they saw him. Some ponies actually just fainted. There was a grey one that literally flew into a fucking cement wall. She legit left a mark of her body in said wall. Luckily the residence here only saw his green form. His Blood Moon is defiantly more scary and his Deep Terror is just creepy but also scary. If he did have his Blood Moon up I'm pretty sure all the ponies would definitely pass out in fright, if not some of them be frighten to death.

I know at some point they are going to ask what we eat but I hope they don’t ask that. Even if the are bipedal, if they’re anything like the horses on our world they only eat plant life. Which three of the for in our group can do. Said three though, also eats meat too. That is what I don’t know how they will take. Then there is the whole other beast of what Thresh doesn’t necessarily eat but still needs to allow him to live. That is he needs souls and if I don’t know how they will react to meat, I really have no fucking clue on how they will react to consuming souls. Yes, if Thresh needs it he can just go into the forest and kill something, a normal animal. We can also go vegetarian for this exposition, once the food that we pact runs out. Let’s jut hope the initial shock isn’t too high from the fact we eat meat for them to be beyond scared of us.

“So what are these Changelings, that you’re talking about?” I decided to ask after a little bit of silence.

“They’re shape shifters. Their base form kinda looks like us ponies. Though they all have bug wings and a messed up horn on their head. Even though they have wings and a horn they are by no means an Alicorn. Their bodies also have holes in there legs and arms. They feed on consuming the love from their prey. The feeding doesn't necessary killed the victim but is usually does because when the Changeling begins to feed. They lose control and it take a lot of will power for them to stop before the victim is killed” Yup they're definitely not gonna like Thresh in the slightest of bits, since he needs to kill to get what he eats.

We passed a giant ass tree house thing. No lie this tree was giant and looked to be completely hollowed out. Twilight seemed to catch me looking at it in almost an aww sort of state. “That is a library, it’s where I use to live. It’s has multiple stories and is filled hundreds of books. I lived on the upper story. Once I became a princess though, I moved into a castle of my own.”

“Damn, well it looks very nice.” Her face cringed a little when I said damn. Ok guess swearing isn’t as common and/or the words are worse than with us. I figured I should ask, don’t want to insult or offend anyone. “So I noticed that your face cringed when I said, ‘Damn.’ Which it just did again. So are curse words just not commonly said or are they just more worse than what I’m thinking?”

“Well they aren’t common at all and they are a little more worse than what you’re probably thinking of.”

“Oh ok, sorry for offending you early when I said one. I will admit, it is nice that we do speak the same language as each other. It does make this a lot more easier than it could have been.”

She nodded, “Thank you for apologizing. Since you just got here and didn’t know how they were here, it’s not that big of a deal. Just try no to say them to much around ponies. And I will agree with that. Speaking the same language does help a lot.” I just nod as we continued to walk by the library. That tree though, it has to have magic in it keeping it alive. I mean a tree being completely carved out can’t be good for it.

Finally we arrived at this castle that was made out of crystal? It was finally the sun had come up. The castle though is defiantly being elevated off the grown and sitting in a tree made of crystal. As we got closer the castle was definitely made out of crystal. When we entered it looked amazing. There wasn’t much lighting besides torches and candles but because of magic it was really well lit up. The crystal was a very nice shade of blue. Well blues, there are multiple shades that compliment each other. The crystal isn’t also to reflective too, so the light isn’t blinding.

As soon as you enter, you go up a set of stairs and enter what I assume is the throne room. There is a giant table in the middle that is gold on top with a white six pointed star. Each point, pointed at a chair that sat against the table. On the back behind what is clearly the main chair, there are so many window, that go all the way up to the ceiling. The ceiling has to be at least 30 feet high. The fact that is exist is just unimaginable. On Runeterra there, isn’t something that is built this insane.

The closest thing is Ashe’s castle in Freljord. “Princess Twilight, your castle is amazing. No castle where we are from are nearly as nice. The closest one has to be the one that belongs to Ashe and her tribe of Freljord. Then next has to Jarven the Third of Demacia's castle. Those two castles are amazing but this has to take the cake.”

Twilight nod and Rarity spoke, “If you think this is nice, wait till you see the castle where Princess Celestia and Princess Luna live. That one is phenomenal, it is built on the side of a mountain. Then city that surrounds it is also built on the mountain. The whole thing is a sight to see.”

“Damn… I mean dang, that is awesome. Gonna have to check that out before we head back to our home world.”

Twilight spoke up, “Well the princesses are gonna want you to visit at some point anyway. Well you all can hang out in the library until the princesses get here. I’m gonna send a letter and then they should be here shortly after that.”

"Sounds good, we will get changed then into our formal wear for this." Twilight nodded and the orange mare led us to the the library to the closest room to get changed. Quickly we changed except for Thresh who has no need to change, then Applejack lead us to the library.

Dear Princess Celestia,

I’m sending a letter not because of a new finding on friendship but because I have guests from another world. The people as I will call them, since they are not ponies like us, are from another world called Runeterra. They haven’t said much about it but they do seem like peaceful group, though from what I understand the place they are from isn't. The purpose of their visit was that, people that study magic on there world found a portal here and just wanted to make contact with the indigenous life of our world.

The contact party consist of a male human, two female humans and the last one is spectral reaper. The names are as follow, (I include titles)

Male Human: Summoner Grant. He stands at about your height and has a black mane. (He is clearly the leader of this group. His attitude make him seem like the most level headed of the group. Even though no one the group seems like a hot head. Everyone else seems to respect him and are very well disciplined and only act as they are told.)

Female Human (With White Mane): Diana; The Scorn of the Moon. (I wonder if her and Princess Luna will get along. Clearly is the second in command. I feel like she has feelings Grant but I’m not sure, I was never good with sensing those feelings. If she does though, I'm not sure if the feelings are reciprocated but I have a feeling they are. The two are clearly not a couple yet though. Finally she has said she has killed other humans on her world. But it was out of self defense because she was about to be executed for praising the moon in stead of the sun. Apparently where she is from everyone just praises the sun and will do horrible things to people who don't. She was someone who didn't.)

Female Human (With Brown Mane): Caitlyn; The Sherif of Piltover. (I assume Piltover is a city there. She has a little different accent than the others. Well the other two humans, the other one hasn't talked that much for me to really tell to much. Her attitude seems good, since she is on a police force.)

Spectral Reaper: Thresh; The Chain Warden (Really don’t know much about him. He does look very creepy and scary. I would not want to see him if he gets angry. Hasn’t really spoken at all besides to laugh at Rainbow Dash, when she claimed to be the best flyer. He sticks out pretty easily don’t know how that helps him. One of the things he carries is this glowing lantern, that seems to be held by magic. Though this lantern has something erie about on some occasions I swore I heard a scream or voice come from it.)

Right now they are in the library. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Twilight Sparkle

Twilight sent it quickly before going to her room and looked at her books on other species. To see if she had anything on any of the two species that are now residing in the library. Especially to see if she had any books on what Thresh is. She brought Spike along so she could get the response as soon as one was sent back. About fifteen minutes later there was a response.

Dear Twilight Sparkle,

I’m glad that you have made contact with these new species. I will say though be very careful and keep an eye on all of them since where they come from is supposedly not peaceful. Have an eye on Diana but also have one closely on this Thresh. If what you heard is true then this could be very dangerous. We will need to figure out what is with that lantern.

Lastly we don't fully know if these beings are peaceful. We only have there word that they are. When we get there we will see if they really are. So let the elements know and give them their elements. Have them stay close too you just in the case something bad does happen. Now don’t try really anything besides maybe a light conversation at most until my sister and I can arrive.

Your messaged arrived right after my first thing in day court had finished. I will end my court now and go wake my sister up. Expect us there with in the next hour or so.

Finally after about five minutes of walking we arrived in the library and I must say this is one giant ass library. Once we had entered Applejack turned and left shutting the doors behind us. I could tell that they clearly don’t trust us yet. Now though we get time to be with each other and not have to watch what we say.

“How’s everyone feeling?”

“I could go for some food.” Caitlyn said as she laid her bag and guns on the table in front of her. After that she just sat down and exhaled greatly before sighing. I reached into my bag and grabbed a granola bar and not the beef jerky. You know cause that is meat and all. I threw it and she nodded in thanks when she caught it. When Caitlyn had spoke, Diana gave me that look that she was agreeing with her in wanting to get food. In which I tossed her one too.

“First thing we need to talk about. Thresh when they ask us what we eat, you say you eat nothing. Until we get a little better feel, they don’t need to know that you feed on souls. Especially after finding out that Changelings feed on love and that they do not like that too much. That is nothing compared to a soul.” Thresh nodded before he sat down and rubbed his hand on his scythe.

After that I began to walk to a table, and rubbed my head on my way there. Uhh what are we gonna do, Grant? This is annoying, we are trapped on an unknown world, that believes friendship is the ultimate power. Don’t get me wrong, friendship is good in a fight or a war because that brings trust among the army. But, friendship is not the ultimate weapon. Finally when I did sit down I put in my head in hands. God help me.

Diana must have seen me really beginning to stress out because she came over to me. “Grant, it’s ok. These ponies seem peaceful, they haven’t hurt us yet. I’m pretty sure they would have tried to hurt us by now if they were going to. Also it isn’t your fault the portal collapsed that, is on the Institutes hand that that happened. When they do reopen it and we do get back, if you don’t than I will go ream them out for leaving us here.” I just chuckled at the last sentence. I’ve seen Diana pissed of, you do not want to be on the end of it. “Are you laughing at me?”

“Yes I am.”

“Now why would you do that?”

“Because I was thinking of when you reamed me out after our first matched when I forgot to use your Moonfall to bring in the Viktor to secure the kill. Then after you finished yelling in my face I reminded you that a minion finished off the kill. Then I was trying to imagine you doing that to the head Summoners.” When I stopped I looked up and saw Diana blushing. She never blushes, why is she? I will admit though, she does look cute like that. “Are… Are you blushing, Diana?”

“No I’m…” She stopped and realized she was. “Oh just shut up you.” She shoved me but her blush just got brighter.

“In all seriousness, you do look cute with a blush.” Crap did I just say that out loud? Fuck I did because I could see her face. It was a face of shock, her eyes were wide open.

“Duh… Um… I…” She was stuttering, while clearly trying to say something.

"Diana I know this is gonna change the mood. That I'm sorry for, but I've had this question for a little while and I want you to answer me when I ask it. Can you do that for me?" She nods at my request. "I know that when ever you have talked about your past you always seem to tense up when you start mention your execution. It is almost like you are holding something back, something you aren't telling. Now we have been friends for ever it feels like. Now what aren't you telling me, Diana?" She immediately looks upset and angry at the same time. She began to stand up.

"I'm not hiding anything. I've told you everything."

She is clearly hiding something. She's never been the best at keeping things from me. This has to be the worst job she has tried to hide something. "Diana answer me. What aren't you telling me? What actually happened when you were captured?"

"I will not tell you. What happened, happened, and no one but me and the people that are dead need to know about it." She yelled and threw the chair back to where it was. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at us.

"Diana come on. Trust me, you can tell me." I began to step towards her with arms open and I did she backed up. She actually casted her Pale Cascade. What happened that would cause her to react like this? I got barrier and flash ready to cast if she was to attack but it seems like she is just being very defensive. Thresh and Caitlyn, along with all the other ponies were all looking at us. The look of shock was real from everyone at this moment. I decided to back off but I will bring back up when we are alone. "Diana, calm down. If you don't want to tell me that is fine." I take a step back conceding defeat.

"Thank..." Right as she was going to thank me, she was quickly shut-uped and dissipated her magic when the doors behind us slammed open. I didn’t have to turn around but Diana did. Everyone stood still out of respect and because of what looked to just about to happen. Twilight entered by two other ponies. Though she had some new crown on that she didn't have on before. I’m assuming the ponies behind her are are two princesses. The three ponies entering look none the wiser of what was happening right before they had entered. Thank god.

I stood straight, Diana joined me as she is second in command in our group. We took a few steps closer before stopping, standing straight up with my hands behind my back. I looked over at her and she didn't even notice. She was trying to hide her emotion of what I must of brought up and was doing a pretty good job but I could still see it. If I knew this is the reaction the Scorn would have, I wouldn't have pushed her so hard.

The white mare finally stood in front of me. Her height was equal to mine and was slightly taller than Diana. Since Diana stood up to my shoulders. The mare had a pale rainbow mane and tale, that blew in a windless breeze. She was the first to speak between us. “Hello I’m Princess Celestia and that is Princess Luna.” She said pointing her hoof at the slightly smaller mare that has a black coat. Her mane look like the night sky. Both manes seemed to be blowing in a nonexistent wind. She stood at Diana's height.

“Hello Princesses, I’m Summoner Grant. This is Diana, my second in command. Caitlyn and Thresh are standing behind us. It’s an honor to finally get a chance to meet the leaders of this fine nation. I assume you would like to talk." They nod. "Where would you like to talk?”

“I think the table behind you and Diana would do just fine.” I nodded before heading back and waited to take a seat until the princesses sat down. “Now...”
