Lyra is tied to the human world. She's also abscessed with Anthropology. She finds Cantorlot's portal and sneaks in it, finding a way to get through everyday, but soon starts heading to the crystal empire, because they move it. Finding out that her, and studies it as much as she can. Intrigued, she comes and goes to the human world, and she's even met her human twin! Who is abscessed with ponies. Soon, she goes to the human world regularly, doing secret thing there, and becoming a human.
For years she has kept this secret, even from her best friend, Bonn Bonn. It's for everypony's safety.
On one of Lyra's secret missions to live in the human world, she decides that she needs to find a way to live there for the rest of her life. But she is interrupted with her mission when she finds Twilight Sparkle, obviously from a different school, at Canterlot High. Soon, Lyra finds out that this is her pony world Princess Twilight.
Lyra watches Twilight as much as she can, but once Twilight defeats Sunset Shimmer, who Lyra has known everything about, she leaves. Lyra wants to talk to Twilight about this.
