Welcome to Ponyville! Book 1

2. A not very warm welcome to Equestria

Previous Chapter

I attempted to move, but, ultimately failed. I crawled through the Canterlot Castle, in hope of a “Pony” version of Principal Celestia. I need her more than ever, in guidance of this crazy world. I suddenly see a mare that looks somewhat like Celestia, so I crawled to her. I also noticed this tattoo-thing, on my thigh, which was a circuit board. Made sense. My cutie splash is a circuit board, so… I’m calling it a cutie mark for now. Perhaps I will find the proper name later on. “Celestia!” I yelped. “Principal” Celestia turned to me.

“Huh? Oh goodness! Here, let me help you up. It’s like you’ve never trotted before!” Celestia helped me up.

“What if I told you, that I hadn’t?” I asked,

“All colts learn to trot by your age!” Celestia stated,

“I’m not a colt. I come from…” I couldn’t say it,

“No, you don’t mean… the other world, do you?” Celestia nervously asked,

“I do mean that.” I replied,

“But the portal, I thought it was closed!” Celestia said,

“Even after Twilight defeated Shading Moon, the portal remained open.” I replied back. I can’t believe I was in an alternate universe!  Dreams are one thing, but actually being in one, it kinda amazes you.

“We need you to be taken to Princess Twilight Sparkle, immediately.” She concluded,

“Why? I can just go through the portal and go home!”

“I can’t let you go through. I need you for proof that your kind is true. You’re staying in Ponyville.” She stated. I stared at her in shock.

“I can’t believe I’m talking to a pony! You have no rights over me, Celestia. If I wanna leave, I can leave. I have parents, friends, and… my one true love…. I am not staying here… it’s not like me. I wanna be home, playing on my PC, or tapping away on my tablet. I have a life, Princess Celestia, and I’m not throwing it out the window.”

“I’m afraid I can’t, sir. A new law has been developed in Equestria. Once a new inhabitant leaves their world, they stay. I can’t let you through.” Celestia firmly said. I couldn’t suppress it any longer. Tears began to well up in my eyes, and I began to cry. I curled in a ball and began to rock back and forth. “My life is gone… I don’t get to see my mom and dad… why did I have to mistakenly walk into the statue…” I sobbed. Celestia’s head jolted up when I said “mistakenly.”

“Celestia, why do I hear crying?” Cadence’s voice echoed through the castle. That is when she spotted me.

“Oh dear!” Princess Cadence sat next to me. “Can you tell me why you’re crying?”

“I mistakenly wandered into the portal from my home to here… and I'm forced to stay here…” I sobbed,

“How old are you?” Cadence asked,

“I am twelve.” I replied,

“Normally, young stallions come here. You are the first filly I’ve seen here.” Cadence said. I sulked.

“Now, can you tell me what your name is?” Celestia asked. I thought about it for awhile… Actual name or nickname… hmm… I went with my nickname.

“I am Short Circuit.” I said, rather quietly.

“We need to get going, Circuit. We must see Twilight Sparkle.” Celestia said. I got up. It’s time to meet her. I thought, Whoa, I am nervous… did I put on my deodorant? Is she hot? Why am I asking these stupid questions? I am already taken. All these thoughts are making me hungry.
