The Canis Clan
Twilight is told to make an alliance with the Canis Clan, a group of wolves from long ago. She learns about the Canis Clan through the Hidden Library's books while meeting another alicorn. It also talks about Starswirl's past with the Canis Clan.
Equestria has had some problems with Timber Wolves. The truth is, there were others. Wolves with differing names coexisted with the ponies, but some had their doubts of any alliance.
Did the wolves do wrong, or does Princess Celestia hide a dark secret? Was Starswirl the Bearded more powerful than Twilight thought? How does Flare know of this clan? Is the truth something Twilight doesn't want to know, or at least accept?
