The Musicans' Parents.
Here We Go!
Load Full StoryNext ChapterIt was supposed to be a normal day of making their revolutionary music, which they had still not named.
"Vinyl, we have been together for about a month now, and still have not met each others parents. You dodge the subject every time, but surely your parents cant be half as bad as mine." Vinyl was taken aback by the words, both still laying in bed.
"Octavia, It's really not a good idea. My mom doesn't even know we share a bed, and would never let what we have stand. Okay? Can we just drop the subject please? I don't want to have a restraining order put on one of us from the other. She might be able to do it, I'm not exactly sure. Really, we should just not. At least with my parents."
"Just how high up is your mother?"
"Erm, uh, well, ah fuck it. She's a Duchess. Happy?" She decided to come out with it
"Come on, that's no excuse and you know it." Octavia was really pushing this.
"Only if you promise that we will still be together after this no matter what." Vinyl had to say, knowing what her mother might do.
"Nothing will ever keep me from you, as long as you feel the same way." Octavia had a way with romantic language, but still, wow. "Just promise to keep it so on your end, and we will be fine." Vinyl had decided this was a perfect time to show 'Tavi the suprise that she had always wanted to, but never could. She removed her shades, for the first time in what felt like forever. She had kept them on since 9th grade, and all the way through up until now. She revealed her beautiful crimson red eyes to Octavia.
"I will never leave you as long as I live." Damn! She should have said breathe, instead of live. It would have made it sound more poetic, but she didn't want to ruin the moment, so whatever.
"Wow. Didn't know you could talk like that. I thought it was just me." Octavia had a smug tone, and likewise grin.
"Hey! You just rub off on me. That's all." Vinyl hated to be made out to not be the tough girl she very much was. Once, in 5th grade, she beat some teeth out a group of 6th graders who were picking on her little cousin. Granted, her little cousin was a spoiled little brat, but she was her little cousin.
"You ready to start? My mother doesn't even know you exist."Octavia spoke up.
"Mine doesn't know were more than just roommates, so that should level the field, somewhat. I guess." Vinyl responded.
They both stood in front of the Lazuli Manor, Octavia profusely nervous.
"Are you sure you want to do this Vinyl?" Octavia asked nervously, with the slightest hint of worry in her voice. The gate was opened via the blue magic from Vinyl's horn. They stepped in, and Vinyl saw the intense worry multiply with every step, until they reached the relatively close door. Octavia was greeted by a unicorn with a brown coat and black mane.
"Hello, miss Octavia. It has been a long time, would you like me to inform your mother you are here? Or would you like to continue as last visit?" The stallion had obviously helped Tavi sneak around once, and was ready to do it again. How the unicorn hasn't seen the other white one was not going without notice.
"You can tell her that I brought-" She paused, glanced back at Vinyl, and continued. "my new Marefriend." The butler didn't seem near as suprised as she thought she would.
"So, are you sure you would like me to address miss Scratch as such? Or would rather I not make your mother try to burn the world asunder." The unicorn managed to keep his steady tone throughout the sentence.
"Make sure you stand by the door, as you might need to exit quickly. If you like the pay here enough, that is." The stallion nodded, and went on his way.
"We may need to be careful with our words in there. Lapis Lazuli, my mother, controls most of the flow of bits throughout Equestria. She may be slightly, well, bitchy. She flows whatever bits she needs to herself in the hundreds." Vinyl knew how that could be, as the daughter of royalty.
"It's fine. Remember, My mother can't possibly be worse, and is definitely more hopeless." Vinyl gave her best reassuring glance, then, the butler returned.
"The cyan She-Demon is ready, and burning. Proceed if you must." Octavia led the way into the hallway.
