Aforementioned Disability: A Large Set of Unfinished Stories

Rainbow Dash lay in her hospital bed feeling the mattress caress her skin and the metal bars surround her bodice. She stared at the ceiling watching the fans turn incredibly fast, it was hypnotic to the eyes. Her iris would follow the brown wings of the fan as if it was the best distraction she could ever have at this point. It soon reminded her of all the times she flew through the sky dazzled by the speed and the velocity she used to hover above. Her wing's flapping and gliding through the air currents at high speeds only to slow down instantly enough to land peacefully on a nice fluffy cloud to rest on. Rainbow Dash remembered all this until it vanished from her mind at the hard reality of her current situation.

She glanced away from the fan and looked down upon her blue body that was fit to a tee. She never understood how she could be afflicted with such a disease when she was so healthy and strong. Her muscles firm to the touch and her wings reactively fast to her mental commands. Tears swelled up from her eyes at the cruel irony of her diseased status. Rainbow had her Daring Do books right beside her and has been reading them for several days until she had become absolutely tired and sickened with reading material that she thought she would die of literature instead. She always read how Daring Do always somehow found a way to surpass any conflict that got in her way. Rainbow would hope that it would be in the same vein in her current situation and she really wanted to believe that she would become free again from problems, just like Daring Do.

Rainbow Dash stared at the books and picked up one of her favorite Daring Do stories. It read Daring Do and The Aging Dilemma in bold letters across the book cover. The nice book stopped the tears flowing from her eyes and gave her a sense of peace. The story was about Daring Do battling a curse of aging, throughout the story she had to deal with arthritis and pain of old age, but, in the end she uplifted the curse with a magical spell. Rainbow remembered when she got the first news of the disease. How it was terminal and her surprise of her imminent demise. She remembers how Twilight tried to use her magic in every way possible to fix the problem. None of it would work, it was already too late.

Rainbow Dash would remember how her friends would become conflicted and argue over her desperately trying to save... her. Rainbow put away the sad thoughts from her mind, it was enough that she had to suffer inside a grungy old hospital. Rainbow began to reminisce of good times with her friends. She remembered one time where Fluttershy told off an actual dragon! When Pinkie Pie went completely insane and was talking to her things, that made Rainbow chuckle. Then, she remembered Twilight Sparkle always was such an egghead. Applejack she would compete with all the time. Finally, Rarity... even though she was all prissy and stuff... Rainbow Dash sort of envied her since she was so... illustrious. Rarity was the epitome of fashion and... she was just so awesome!

Rainbow Dash stuck in her fancy, felt an adverse joy for a few moments as she reminisced her friends. A certain memory popped up from her mind. A memory that she wanted to ignore forever, yet, she didn't have the willpower nor the patience anymore to do it. She remembered her colt, her precious offspring that she lost forever. She remembered a time before Ponyville where she lived in Cloudsdale and just got out of College. Where Rainbow Dash met her first love whose name she knew as Quick Dodge. Rainbow Dash remembered him and tears once again flowed through her eyes. She felt so alone, no one to comfort her aching heart.

With nothing better to do she began to remember once more her old lover of before time. They met at College both learning to become fliers for the Cloudsdale Weather Team. Their romance heightened from their passion for flying fast to their shared dream of becoming the best of all fliers. At one night she and the red bodied green maned pegasus with a curiously windy cutiemark consummated on top of a cloud high above Cloudsdale under the beautiful stars. Rainbow Dash was deep in love with this Stallion and soon their love created something magical. She named the colt Star Stream after the night they had together. The colt was just born when Rainbow Dash heard the news of her lover, Death from a lightning strike. His body was completely obliterated by lightning and when they found him he was stuck burnt to a rock. Rainbow Dash couldn't believe her ears that one of the fastest fliers and the most loving of ponykind would leave her all alone.

Rainbow Dash was absolutely devastated by the loss. Quick Dodge meant everything to Rainbow Dash and was basically what kept her alive for the many years in College. This was the second time she lost someone in her life. She couldn't handle it and so she could also not handle the colt itself. In fear, she dropped off the small colt right in to an orphanage whilst crying her face off. There she ran away from her problems which was all in Cloudsdale and almost never returned only to come there in certain circumstances. Hiding her emotions and past away, she slowly made a new life for herself in Ponyville.

After reminiscing her descent, Rainbow began to remember how she first met her dead husband. Quick Dodge was a shy pegasus stallion that kept to himself mostly, but, was infatuated with the rainbow maned pegasus. They saw eye to eye at a training instruction based on their speed. At first Rainbow completely ignored the stallion just meandering around flaunting her abilities. On that day, Quick Dodge felt a little angsty and when the training race began he pushed himself far faster than ever before. Speeding up against the Rainbow Maned pegasus, the two matched speeds both side by side with no competitor in their wake only for the stallion to pass the finish line.
