As the winter snow and the cold breezes masked her with hopes of the coming spring and nothing but her yearning for the sun's warmth filling her head more than she had the cups of hot chocolate she was making to escape the cold as she sat alone in her fire-warmed home, Sunset sometimes found herself eagerly waiting at the door, clad in her winter gear and holding a shovel, waiting for the time to come where the entire community would be outside of her door, wrapping up winter and requesting that she helped them do it as well.
But there was no Winter Wrap Up here. Winter did the natural thing and wrapped itself up. It took a couple of months here, and not just a week or so. It pained her to think about it, as it reminded her only of the life she used to have. How easy would it be to go back, how easy would it be to just give up this world for the next. But she had already left a place she could call home. She left that place and had made new friends, developed a new life, got used to this brand new lifestyle. She knew very well what her past was, and she wanted to leave those memories behind, as those painful memories shall not define who she was anymore.
