The Invasion

[Resistance's Hideout, 10:01 A.M.]

"Captain Dash, the mission was a success!" Spitfire said saluting as she entered. She noticed that all the Resistance was gathered there.

"On the right time. We're almost ready to attack." Rainbow Dash said looking at a map of the castle. "Okay, I'll explain the plan: Our primary objective is to free the prisoners. The dungeons are two levels below the throne room. Flitter, Cloudchaser and a small group will be in charge of it. Once everyone is free, we have to neutralize the guards. Spitfire, Soarin and Lightning Dust will take care of the aerial part while Vinyl, Lyra, Bon Bon and Octavia will take care of the earth segment."

"And we, Rainbow Dash?" Fluttershy asked.

"We will fight with Queen Chrysalis."

"It seems that we are left with the fun part, right?"

"Okay. First of all, we have to eliminate the changelings that are spread through the city streets. We can not let any of them standing. Spitfire, Fluttershy, Cloudchaser and I will take care of it. We'll meet in Ponyville square and will spread each for one direction while the rest of you will prepare for the invasion. Everyone understood?"

"Yes, Captain Dash!" They all said in unisom.

"Then let's go!"

[Ponyville's Square, 10:24 A.M.]

"Okay" Rainbow Dash said. "Cloudchaser, you go to the South. Spitfire goes to the East and Fluttershy goes to the West. I go to the North. Once all the changelings are eliminated, we meet here to go to join the others, understand?"

"Yes, Captain!" That said, each of them followed the direction that was specified for them.

(West Side of the city)

"Keep your eyes open, soldiers. We can not let ourselves be surprised by anything." Said one of changelings.

"Relax, boss. Who would have the courage to face us?"

"Who? I will tell you who..."

"Me!" Fluttershy said to the leader.

"Yes. She- What? Guards! Capture her!" The guards tried to hit Fluttershy with energy rays, but before she was hit, she vanished into thin air.

"What? Where did she go?"

"Hey, head wind! I'm here!" She said from behind the soldiers.

"What the-" As soon as the guards turned, they only had time to see the burst of energy coming toward them. A large explosion appeared and in place of the guards there was only one hole steaming.

"Humpf, pathetic. Oh well, I'd better go find the others."

(East side of the city)

"Keep looking! I'm sure I saw her here!"

"That's what you said last time!"

Spitfire looked from the top of a cloud the changelings discussing. "How long will it take for them to see me here? I'm already getting bored. Okay... I'd better get this over with." She raised a hand toward the small army. "TAKE THIS!!!"

The changelings looked up and saw a red light coming toward them and one of them said "I hate my job-" *BOOM!*

"This should take care of them." Spitfire said with a grin on her face.

(South side of the city)

Cloudchaser looked the army that was surrounding her on all sides. It was a large group of soldiers who were ready to attack her.

"Now we take you! Attack her!" The leader said.

"You are detestable." She teleported leaving the changelings very confused.

"Grrr... I hate when they do that." One of the changelings said.

"I'll finish you!" Cloudchaser said from behind the army, holding a yellow energy disc on one hand. "DESTRUCTO DISC!!!"

The disc went through each of the changelings leaving only a lot of bodies on the floor. Cloudchaser crossed her arms and said under her breath "Your weakness disgust me. I'd better go now."

(North side of the city)

Rainbow Dash walked through the streets, looking for the changelings Army. But when she turned a corner, she saw something that seemed impossible to have happened: Many changelings were scattered on the ground, as if they had just lost a fight.

"Hmm ... Looks like someone got in front of me. But who would be strong enough to do this? I think about it later. Now, I'd better go find the others to continue with the plan."

At that time, various thoughts passed through the head of the Rainbow Dash. Was there more members of the resistance free? And if there was, why they did not look for her? She continued walking without realizing the figure who was watching her in the shadows.

[Ponyville's Square, 10:36 A.M.]

"Okay girls. How was the mission?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Easy."

"Boring."

"Pathetic."

"And you Rainbow Dash?" Fluttershy asked the cyan pegasus. "How was your part?"

Rainbow Dash paused. "A strange thing happened..."

"Huh? Strange how?"

"Never mind. That's not important. Let's go to the castle. The others must already be waiting for us."

Rainbow Dash knew that if she told what happened and what she was thinking, various issues would be raised and perhaps this interrupted with the course of the mission. Then she thought better keep it to herself for now. Perhaps if the mission were successfully she could try to clarify all this.

[Princess Twilight's Castle, 10:38 A.M.]

"Queen Chrysalis! The army that was in the town was completely destroyed!

"(Hmm... Looks like she's coming sooner than I expected.) Very well soldier. Keep me informed."

The changeling bowed before leaving the Throne Room. Chrysalis looked out of the window and said "It seems that everything is going according to plan. Are you ready?"

"Are you sure that if I join you I can fight with Rainbow Dash, right?"

"You have my word."

"I warn you that if you betray my trust I will not hesitate to blow you away!"

"Do not worry. You can trust me... Applejack."
