The Invasion

[Princess Twilight's Castle, 10:45 A.M.]

Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Spitfire and Cloudchaser approached the castle, trying hard not to be seen.

"Spitfire and Cloudchaser, go to your posts. On my signal we start the mission." She looked around to make sure everything was prepared. "NOW!"

Everyone jumped from where they were hiding and spread to fulfill every part of the mission given to them.

"Aerial Team in position!"

"Team Terrestrial ready!"

"Rescue Team ready to rock!"

"Let's go!"

(Princess Twilight's Castle: High area)

"Guards, keep your eyes open. Anything can happen." Said the leader of the aerial guards, but no one answered. "Guads? Answer me when I-" The leader turned and saw that none of his guards was there. He opened his mouth to ask what was going on but someone covered his mouth from behind him.

"Shh..." Spitfire said. "I promise it will not hurt... much." And with a quick hand movement, she broke his neck. "Sleep well in eternity."

"Stop playing! We have to wait for the transmission of the Rescue Team to find out if they already released the prisoners."

"Fine. I'll wait in a cloud."

(Princess Twilight's Castle: Lower area)

"Hmpf. My speakers fight better than you." Vinyl said, looking at the guards around the ground.

"Vinyl, you don't have any speakers." Octavia said.

"Whatever. Oh well, I think I'll sit here and wait for news from the other teams."

[Hallways to the Dungeons, 10:49 A.M.]

The Rescue Team ran toward the castle dungeon, attacking any guard they found along the way. Flitter and Cloudchaser were leading the way.

"Stop!" The guards said. "Surrender!" But they were knocked out before they could act.

"Continue! We're almost there!" Cloudchaser said.

They kept running until they reached a large iron door.

"Locked. As I suspected." Cloudchaser said crossing her arms.

"No door will stay between me and the mission!" Flitter said approaching the door.

"Uh... Flitter? What are you-" *POW!*

Flitter struck the door with a powerful punch. Seconds after a sound was heard. *creeeeeeeeeee- CLANG!* The door fell and everyone was wide-eyed. They looked at Flitter as if they had seen a ghost.

"What? Cloudchaser is not the only who trains hard on the family."

"..."

"You coming or not?" Flitter called. Everyone shook their heads and focused on the mission.

Behind the door were the cells with the prisoners. "Release all of them, quickly!" Cloudchaser said.

Once everyone were free, Cloudchaser picked up a small radio and tried to contact the others. "Hello? Is anyone listening to me?"

"Soarin speaking. What the situation is, Cloudchaser?"

"All prisoners are free. The guards were neutralized?"

"Positive. The aerial part is clean. We are going to help with the prisoners. Soarin off."

"Good. Now, let's see the other team. Vinyl, everything is ready for the escape?"

"Ready. These guards will no longer be a problem. We're waiting for you out here. Vinyl off."

"Okay. Let's go!"

[Entrance to the Throne Room, 10:58 A.M.]

When she was in front of the Throne Room, Rainbow Dash's radio rang.

"Hello, Captain? Are you listening?"

"I'm here. What is the situation, Soarin?"

"The guards were neutralized and the prisoners are free. What are the orders now?"

"Take everyone to a safe place. I will put an end to it."

"Okay Captain. Soarin off."

"Okay, Fluttershy. Now it is with us. We have to defeat Queen Chrysalis."

"Let's do it!"

They opened the door and saw Queen Chrysalis in the throne with a guard in each side.

"Rainbow Dash. Long time no see." Chrysalis said with a evil grin.

"Chrysalis. Finally I will be able to defeat you and put an end to all this."

"Hahaha! That's where you're wrong. It's not me that you will fight."

"What? (I feel some strange energy around here. But it's... familiar... like if already had fought against it...)"

"Hello, Rainbow Dash." Said a voice from behind the throne.

"That voice... It can't be! It's you!"

"Long time no see, my greatest rival."

"Applejack. I never thought I'd see you again. What are you doing here?"

"Chrysalis made me a proposal. She said if I joined her, I could fight you."

"Applejack, have you lost your mind? How could you do this?"

"For several years I was at your shadow, always one step behind you.All he did you could do better. I could not accept being the second best in everything."

"That is why you left the town?"

"Yes. I went out worldwide training to become stronger. I swore that one day I would beat you, and now I can finally have that pleasure."

"Applejack, stop this! We haven't time for this! I need to finish the mission!"

"If you want to reach the Queen Chrysalis, you'll have to beat me first."

"Okay."

"Alright, Applejack. BRING IT ON!!!"

They fought viciously. Each impact they had shook the castle. They collided in the center of the room and were measuring forces.

"Applejack, don't do it! She's just using you to get me out of her way!"

"That does not matter. If I can finish you, she can do whatever she want with the city."

Queen Chrysalis, seeing an opportunity, launched a energy blast in the two rivals, which only had time to look to the side before an explosion hit them and covered the entire room with smoke. Rainbow Dash had his eyes closed waiting for the explosion of pain. She felt nothing. Slowly, she opened her eyes and saw what had happened: Fluttershy had stopped the blast! She turned to Rainbow Dash and smiled before collapsing to the floor.

"FLUTTERSHY!!!" Rainbow Dash run to help her.

Chrysalis was trying to escape when Applejack stopped her.

"So, you dared to betray me?" She raised a hand towards Chrysalis.

"Oh, that's no good-"

"BIG BANG ATTACK!!!" Chrysalis was hit by a yellow energy blast, which sent her flying through the wall of the castle. Rainbow Dash approached her, carrying Fluttershy in her arms.

"It's over Chrysalis. Your army lost. You lost."

"No. It's not over yet." She took off and fly away. In the distance, they all heard her saying "I will come back. And when that happens, all of you will regret having faced me!"

"Come back here! I'm not done with you!" Applejack said.

"Let her go. As she said, she will return. And we'll be ready for it." Rainbow Dash started to walk away from the castle.

"I knew you wouldn't let her win." Said a voice that seemed to come from nowhere.

"What? (That voice... It can't be...)" Moments later, in a flash of violet light, she appeared.

"Ah, it's good to be back." Said Princess Twilight Sparkle, dressed in her royal vest and crown.

"Twilight! You're alive!" Rainbow said with a smile.

"Yes. Too bad I can't say the same about Celestia and Luna." She stopped as she took notice of Fluttershy state. "What happened to Fluttershy? Is she alright?"

"She'll be fine. Just need to rest."

"Now that everything is solved Rainbow Dash," Applejack said "How about we finish our fight?"

"You will never change, do you? It's all right. Twilight, could you hold Fluttershy for a while?"

"Uh... Okay..."

"Why the delay? Come on!"

"Oh yeah!"

"These two will never change." Twilight said with a grin.
