Frieza the displaced alien
Chapter 3
Previous ChapterMy eyes snapped open and I sat up quickly. Slowing down my breathing and heart rate I looked down upon myself. I was still very much Frieza. I allowed a smirk to form along with a chuckle. The implications that this wasn't a very lucid dream delivered a certain moral debate. Should I continue with the plan I had proposed to Nightmare last night or let bygones be bygones? 'And live in piece with these worms? I think not.' I frowned a bit at that thought, its origin did not stem from me or my own personality. It would seem a touch of the original Frieza would bleed through onto my own consciousness. That might complicate things. With a sigh I slid my eyes closed once more and recalled my conversation with the dark alicorn.
"Oh what a bold statement. And what by chance makes you think you can pull this off?" Nightmare Moon looked to be in sheer delight at my statement to her, if the fanged grin plastered across her face could be something I could go by that is. I folded my arms behind my back and allowed my own grin to sprout across my own face.
"Oh my dear that's too easy. The animosity is and always will be present, so like a garden I simply have to tend to it. The win condition however is that she must not see it until it is far too late to do anything about it." The dark queen then let loose something between a maniacal chuckle and a giggle.
"Very well Frieza, I'll place my trust into you. Make sure you can pull this off. Now go before Luna goes to bed, she might do something stupid in her guilt."
"The tantabus."
"Exactly."
I slid my eyes open once more and hopped out of bed. Looking out the window of my room as I slid my armor on I noticed it was almost dawn. I was about to reach for the scrap of metal when I noticed there was something different about it. What was once a bit of plain blue metal was now a silver ring with a deep purple starburst cut gem in the center. I smirked and slid it onto my right index finger before putting my scouter on and vacating my room. Once out in the hall I made my way to Luna's chambers, however once I was at the door I was stopped by two guards. The one on the right glared at me and stood directly in my way.
"Halt, the princess has requested no one visit her at this moment in time."
A grimace formed across my lips and my tail began to flick about in annoyance. "Even for foreign diplomats?"
"Even then." A scowl began to grow from my original frown. The right guard remained stoic but the one on the left looked about ready to bolt. A smirk then emerged from my scowl and I smiled rather invitingly.
"Very well then." The guard didn't see me coming as I seemingly teleported behind him and knocked him out cold with a simple chop to the neck. "Now that, that nuisance is out of the way." My eyes slid over to the openly cowering guard on the left. Pointing a finger directly at him I created a small ball of ki at the tip of my ebony nail. "You are to tell no one of this. Bring him to the infirmary and say he fell down some stairs or something." After nodding vigorously the guard collected his comrade and bolted. With a smirk I extended a single knuckle and rapped on the twin doors to Luna's room. There was a pop and an audible gasp. After a few moments of silence one of the doors was opened and I was greeted to the small blue mare.
"Oh Lord Frieza, we where not expecting visitors, especially at this hour."
I smiled in response. "Just call me an owl seeking company on this beautiful night."
Luna perked up a bit at this from her usual somber self. "Oh do come in then."
As I walked into the room I noticed how much larger it looked on the inside. It was also certainly more rounded than I had anticipated, but then again I suppose that would have been expected of the moon avatar. Glancing up I noticed the ceiling was more dome shaped and filled with different constellations. The decorations where as they were in season five, the crescent moon bed, the tree looking candle holders, and most of all the blue everything. Folding my hands behind my back I turned to address the sovereign of the night.
"I must admit princess, this is far more tastefully ornate than I would have anticipated. You certainly have my respect in that regard."
"Oh thank you, it feels nice to have a splash of color in this otherwise white castle."
I scratched my chin and feigned thinking. "That is true. Honestly if this castle is for the both of you why is it mostly colored after your sister?"
Luna's head lowered at my comment. "We fear that we may have been lost to time because of the nightmare."
"I assume you're referring to the dark creature you where before the whole rainbow menagerie. Perhaps you can explain that sortied affair to me, if you wish of course."
The princess shook her head after a few seconds of debate. "We would like you to get to know us for who we are before we tell thou what we once where."
I have a nod. "I respect your decision. Which reminds me, just after I knocked I heard a noise come from in here, did I startle you and cause something to break?"
A blush scrawled across her muzzle. Clearly she had been hoping I hadn't heard that. "No, nothing of the sort. We where in the middle of casting a spell and thou caught us off guard."
"A spell you say? I must admit magic is a rarity in the universe but your species talk about it like it's common place. I am quite interested, exactly what where you trying to cast?"
Luna began to paw at the ground a bit avoiding eye contact. "We where simply trying to cast a spell to help us sleep. It's not easy to fall asleep in a new place." After she stated that Luna glanced back up to make eye contact, a staple of someone who was lying. However when she locked eyes with my unflinching gaze, she was forced to break it almost instantly.
"You know Princess, I'm not particularly found of liars..." Oh the hypocrisy was thick in the air today. Luna wilted under my gaze. "however, I can see this probably pertains to the nightmare business, so for now I'll let you have your privacy. Just at the very least be careful and don't go punishing yourself for past mistakes ok?" I ruffled the mare's mane and she looked up at me with a look of shock. With that I took my leave of the room and made my way down to the kitchens and dining room. Of course since my memory can be sketchy sometimes I soon got entirely lost. Still it mattered little to me. As I continued down the long, dark corridors a small chuckle slipped from my lips. My job here was just beginning. The seeds had been planted and all it would take is time for them to grow. But with the plans I had how long would it take? Months? Years? But as I pondered that too I found I didn't care. Frieza was the type to live for quite a long time. Maybe indefinitely given his lack of care for the dragon balls in Resurrection F.
Glancing out one of the many windows I had realized time had eluded me for longer than I thought. The sun had already peeked its way over the long distant mountains and was beginning its slow trawl up the sky. My tail began to swirl around in annoyance, after all my problem of hunger was still gnawing at me. That was when I noticed exactly what part of the castle I was in. Given the large double doors with the golden sun enblazoned on them I had a faint guess as to who's room I was near.
"Ego maniac.." I felt a faint pulse from my ring as I muttered that under my breath. It was most likely nightmare laughing or something of the like. Extending a single knuckle casually I rapped on Celestia's door. As I listened in on the shuffling on the other side as she made her way over, I noted the lack of guards around her door. Ego maniac AND over confident. I chuckled as the phrase Bane once spoke ran though my mind. Piece has defeated you. My attention however was stolen from me as the twin oak doors opened slightly and the head of the princess craned from the now open space between them.
"Oh good morning Frieza, is something the matter?"
I slipped on a polite smile and gave a casual wave to Celestia. A few years of retail allowed me to perfect my so fake it's genuine smile. "And a fine morning to yourself Princess. I was simply enjoying the decor when I stumbled across your abode. Perhaps you would like to accompany me to breakfast?"
A smile graced Celestia's face as worry melted from her features. "Why of course, that sounds like a lovely proposal."
With that Celestia slit out of her room and shut the doors with her magic. I followed her down the ornate hallways to the dining room making sure to keep in step with her.
The trek itself was rather quiet as the sun slowly rose in the distance in accordance to Celestia's will. It was rather interesting to watch her casually raise a celestial body into the sky seemingly effortlessly. She must have felt my eyes on her because she chose that moment to turn her head slightly and give a tiny smirk.
"The sun is bound to me and my magic, so it responds to my will. It can be temperamental at times but for the most part it complies." My eyes snapped from the alicorn's horn to her eyes with one of my brows raised quizzically.
"You say that as if it has a mind of its own and isn't just a ball of plasma burning billions of miles away." My statement earned a giggle from the monarch.
"Magic flows through just about everything Lord Frieza. Everything that possesses magic has a different flow to them be they inanimate or otherwise." Her brow furrowed a bit as she gazed at my form. "However you are a bit of an oddity if you don't mind me saying." My gaze narrowed a bit. "You don't appear to possess any form of magic, but despite that you have a powerful energy about you that I can sense is but a sliver of your full strength. In fact I dare say your raw energy contained within you rivals that of Nightmare at her peak."
I locked eyes with the monarch and allowed a small smirk to form on my face. "And this makes you wary I presume?"
A warm smile grew across her face. "Not as much as you would think, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't the least bit curious about the energy that lies almost dormant within you."
This in turn pulled a chuckle from my own lips. "Perhaps I can let you in on a secret, but first please do tell me how much do you sense in my current form?"
"I can say that the energy currently flowing through you right now feels on par with some of my more skilled mages."
"My current form is a power suppressor. I cannot regulate the ki within my natural form as easily as this repressed form. Too much raw power. So instead I have three forms that restrict my overall strength." Celestia quirked a brow at that.
"That sounds rather fearsome."
I gave a small chuckle. "Only when I need to be. Ho but lo and behold I do believe we have arrived at our destination."
Celestia smiled. "You certainly are most correct."
