The Doctor exited the TARDIS wearing all new clothes. He wore a white shirt, blue bowtie, and green trench coat. “Still no purple coat?” Sunset asked.

“It was just lying around.” The Doctor said, jesting to the green coat. “Besides, I’m cold.” He shoved his hands in the coat pockets, and began walking toward the school. “We’ve fixed the portal issue, and now have to work on the Friendship Games.”

“We’re still gonna work on that?” Sunset asked.

“Yep.” The Doctor said, wagging a finger at her, “It may not be an alien invasion, but, if Amy taught me one thing, it’s that real life is important too.”

“Okay, let’s see the progress.” Sunset said, as the two proceeded towards the school.

“Whoa…” the Doctor said, upon entering the gym. Pinkie Pie had finished putting up the decorations, and the girls were setting up the table where the food would go. “Well, it looks almost done!” The Doctor said excitedly, walking up to them.

“It’s a work in progress.” Rainbow Dash said. “Although, getting setting everything up was a little more difficult when four of you disappear.”

Sunset looked over to Twilight. “You didn’t tell them?”

“I thought they’d get worried, and stop working.” Twilight replied, shrugging her shoulders.

“Wait, what happened?” Rarity asked.

“I got teleported into a parallel universe, and might’ve been stuck there forever, but, I’m okay now, so, let’s all forget about that!” The Doctor clapped his hands together excitedly. “Right then, we have to get cooking! Let’s start!”

“Wait, you got trapped in another universe?!” Applejack shouted.

“I said let’s forget about that.” The Doctor said, “Come on, we need food for tomorrow, so, let’s go home, and cook food!”

Twilight was still living with Sunset. In fact, Twilight had completely made the spare room her own, whilst the Doctor has bunked on the couch. He was helping them cook. Applejack had gone home to cook, while the rest of the eight girls were off cooking something else.

“With the games tomorrow, I’m a bit worried.” Sunset said, mixing some batter. Her leather jacket was hung up.

“How so?” The Doctor asked. He was still wearing his green coat, but was busy enhancing the oven with his screwdriver.

“Well, it’s just, first Rainbow was able to pony up without her guitar, then the portal sending you to another universe,” Sunset explained, “I have a feeling that there’s something coming. A magical disaster.”

“Why would you think that?” Twilight asked.

“Well, remember that day before Christmas, when we all had nightmares?” Sunset asked.

Twilight shuddered. “I can’t forget.”

“Well, remember the dream you had Twilight?” Sunset asked.

“Yeah…”

“Well, it seemed to be connected with reality.” Sunset said, “You ended up in the Void, but, came back. And, when we found you in eighteen eighty-four, there was a man there who was causing splits in reality. What if something similar is happening now?”

“It’s a possibility…” The Doctor wondered, “Although, the dream I had was with my past incarnation, and he was in it, not me.”

“What if,” Sunset speculated, “It was only part of a dream? Like déjà vu. Maybe it was a prediction of the future, not the full thing. Or, only a glimpse, rather than the entire thing.”

"I suppose it is a possibility..." Twilight began.

"And, if it's true, then we're in for trouble." The Doctor said, standing up, "We need to be extremely careful. The universe has been very odd lately, more odd than usual. Twilight came back, from the void, which is near impossible. Let alone everything else that has been happening. Twilight, do you happen to have a magical scanner?"

"I do, but, it's not great." Twilight explained, "You see, it can detect major magical occurrences, but not minor ones."

"No, that's not what I was questioning." The Doctor clarified, "I'm thinking I might be able to hook it up to the TARDIS and scan for magic. I could maybe even connect it to my sonic screwdriver."

"You probably could." Twilight said.

"Right, good, do you have it?" The Doctor asked, rubbing his hands together.

"No, it's at school." Twilight said, which caused the Doctor's energy to leave him like air blowing out of a balloon.

"Oh well, I suppose we'll have to do it tomorrow." The Doctor said.

"DONE!!!" Sunset shouted, pulling a fresh meatloaf out of the oven. "There we go! Oh, this will be amazing!" She said gleefully, then noticed the Doctor's and Twilight's confused looks. "Sorry," Sunset began, setting the meatloaf on the counter, and removing her oven mitts, "I just get excited whenever I make something like this." She smiled softly.

Twilight placed a hand on her shoulder. "It's okay, I do too."

"Wait, what time is it?" Sunset asked, and glanced at the oven. "It's eleven-thirty! Oh my goodness, I didn't know that we had stayed up this late! We really should get some shuteye."

"Yeah, probably." Twilight said. "Doctor, are you okay sleeping on the couch?"

"Don't worry, it doesn't bug me any."

The Doctor walked into the TARDIS, holding Twilight's magical scanner. Advantages of being a teacher. He hooked it up the TARDIS console, and activated it. He walked over to the keypad, and he starting typing. "Adding new protocol...commencing calculations." He hooked up his sonic screwdriver to the TARDIS. "Adding setting, and...done!"

The Doctor unhooked the sonic screwdriver and pressed the button. "Oh, lovely." The Doctor said, admiring the new magic scanning setting on the screwdriver, looking at the bright purple light the screwdriver shone. He pressed his hand off the button, tossed it in the air, caught it, and placed it back in his jacket.

"Well, we have a new setting." The Doctor said, walking toward the TARDIS entrance, "As long as the calculations are correct, everything should be fine. If they're wrong, well, the consequences would be drastic." And as he closed the door behind him, the TARDIS cloister bell rang through the time machine.
