Adagio frowned as she tapped her fingers on the counter, looking out the window then back to her watch.

"Where is Sonata? She was supposed to be back two hours ago," She complained to Aria, who was washing the dirty dishes they just had dinner with. "She never misses out on taco night."

The purple girl shrugged, setting the plates on the drying rack, "Maybe she went out to treat herself to dinner."

"Maybe, but I doubt it," She grumbled, sitting down at the kitchen table.

"Or she lost one of the dogs she walked and is looking for it," Aria suggested, sitting next to her.

Adagio rolled her eyes, "That's unlikely, she's never had difficulty with dogs once in her life, she'd never be so careless." She said.

She nodded, "I guess you're right," She muttered, an awkward silence filling the room for a couple of minutes as they sat there, lost in their thoughts. They could only sit and wonder where Sonata could be.

"And so I said, 'I knew you liked Italian food, but I didn't think you were such a pizza shit'!" Rainbow Dash said, looking at Pinkie waiting for her friend to break out into laughter at her joke.

But even the pink girl knew better than to praise her friend for her horrible sense of humor. "That wasn't very funny," She said, in a monotone that really cut deep into Rainbow Dash.

"Yeah yeah, no one can be as great as a comedian as you, Pinkie Pie," She grumbled, crossing her arms as they kept walking down the sidewalk. They didn't notice however a hooded figure run past them, shoving Rainbow Dash out of her way to make her way to a nearby alley.

Dash scowled, "Hey, you get back here!" She yelled, running after her, pulling Pinkie along against her will.

Pinkie frowned, "Rainbow relax! It was probably an accident!" She shrieked as she was pulled along into the alley, where they cornered the girl.

Her hood fell, showing it was Sonata. She looked pale and like she had been in a fight, her hair tussled and tangled, finger nails dirty and chipped. Despite her poor condition, this didn't keep Rainbow Dash from getting even angrier.

"A siren! What are you doing here? Don't you get it you're not welcome around here anymore," The athlete scowled, storming over ready to beat her to a pulp.

Sonata bit her lip, "P-Please, go away," She stammered softly. "B-Before I...I-I..."

Rainbow Dash put her hands on her hips, "You'll what? Sing me away?" She scoffed, "Yeah right, what could you possibly do to me,"

Pinkie Pie frowned, "Rainbow Dash, please, let's just leave her alone," She said, grabbing her hand trying to pull her away.

"No way, she's gotta get what's coming to her," Cracking her knuckles, she turned to Sonata, paling as she saw the girl on the ground grunting in pain.

She grasped her chest, her nails sharpening as they dug into the worn cloth of her hoodie. The sickening sound of bones and cartilage snapping and bending filled the air, as Sonata became taller and rather husky. A light coat of fur not even a shade darker than her light blue skin covered her body, and her ears became misshapen, like those of a gargoyle or a wolf. The scrunchie holding up her hair gave away, letting her hair fall over her back and broad shoulders. She rose to her feet - or rather her paws, hunched over panting heavily.

Pinkie Pie winced, watching a tail the same color as her hair sprout from what was left of her shorts.

Rainbow Dash stood there, jaw dropping to the ground as she stared into Sonata's eyes, her iris' thinning into a slit, almost like that of a snake or dragon.

Sonata whimpered, feeling her mouth and nose form into a muzzle, licking the fangs that began to grow. She stood there, staring at the two frightened girls, failing to notice a stray cat who happened to step right onto her tail. She let out a loud, long howl, causing the cat and the teenagers to run away as fast as they could.

Rainbow Dash was still screaming even when they were all the way across town, hugging Pinkie tightly like she was a teddy bear.

"W-What was that thing?" She whimpered, looking up at the pink girl.

Pinkie giggled, "Sonata Dusk, silly!"

"B-But, she's a...a..." Rainbow was at a loss for words.

"A werewolf, duh. Though maybe she's a weresiren, or a werepony, seeing as she is a creature from another world. I dunno, what do you think?" She tapped her chin, looking down at the athlete, shaking lightly.

"C-Can we just go home Pinkie?"

"Sure!"
