Chapters A whole new world in a single day
"Take THAT! And THAT! And-"
"Button! It's time for school! You don't want to be late!" Love Tap yelled upstairs.
"COMING!" Button Mash yelled. Button Mash put his controller on the ground as his T.V. screeched "GAME OVER!" He quickly grabbed his backpack and propeller hat and rushed downstairs. "LOVE YOU BYE MOM!" He yelled as he rushed out the door. Unlike most kids, Button was excited for school. He wanted to see if he could make any friends, considering making friends in his old schools always failed. But he would not give up. As he galloped towards the classroom he saw 3 fillies with red capes on their backs smack hooves and shout something he couldn't hear because of how distant they were.
"CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS GYMNISTS, YAY!" The CMC shouted. Scootaloo was jumping at the idea of a new chance to get her cutie mark. Applebloom and Sweetiebelle rolling their eyes at Scootaloo's foalish behavior.
"C'mon Scootaloo, why can't we try singing later?" Sweetiebelle asked.
"Cuz singing's lame. It's so....... Bland." Scootaloo
"It can be fun!"
"Can not!"
"Can too!" Sometimes I really don't like Scootaloo, Sweetiebelle thought. As she looked away to stop fighting she noticed a good thing and a bad thing. The good thing, a colt Sweetiebelle didn't know was walking towards the school, whitch meant a possible new friend. The bad thing, she saw two hurricanes heading toward said colt. And the two hurricane's names were Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. "Uh oh."
As Button saw two fillies approaching him he was so excited! New friends, he thought. As they got closer he knew he was wrong. They had sinister smiles that fed on misfortune. Button slowed to a halt, and brought out his JoyBoy so they wouldn't bother him. It didn't work.
"Hey Blank Flank!" The pink one said. "I'm Diamond Tiara, and that's Silver Spoon. What's that you got there?"
"I'm B-B-Button Mash, and it's n-nothing important." Button stammered.
"Oh, sure looks important," Diamond Tiara said. "Mind if I take a closer look?" She took it out of his hooves and (being the demon spawn as it is) promptly broke it in two.
Button just stared at the ground. Hating both himself for letting Diamond so easily take it, and Diamond for breaking it. He wouldn't allow himself to cry, considering he was now nearly done in 7th grade.
Diamond and Silver walked off laughing at their "accomplishment."
Button continued to walk, his gallop turned into a slow trudge.
He felt a hoof on his shoulder and heard (in his opinion) an angelic voice say "Are you okay? Those two bully everypony."
Button turned to see a snow white coat with emerald eyes and a mane that was a beautiful set of pink and purple. The only thoughts going through Button's head were 'That is a really pretty mare!' "Um.... I'm ok. Thanks." Button said, feeling his cheeks heat up as he stared at this mare.
Sweetiebelle blushed as he continued staring at her. Suddenly she felt a push from behind and she fell on top of the mystery colt. "SCOOTALOO I AM GOING TO TELEPORT YOU INTO THE DEPTHS OF TARTARUS!"
Scootaloo laughed hysterically.
The mysterious colt said "Um... I'm Button Mash. Nice to meet you. Though I wish this was in better circumstances than 1. You laying on top of me, 2. Threatening to send somepony to Tartarus and 3. Having just been bullied by Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon."
Embaressed and blushing heavily Sweetiebelle got off Button. "I'm Sweetiebelle, the orange pony I am going to send to Tartarus is Scootaloo, and she is Applebloom. "
"Hi!" Scootaloo and Applebloom said. "Want to join the Cutie Mark Crusaders?"
Button just stared, this time not like the way he stared at Sweetie. "Um...."
Sweetiebelle sighed. "It's a club where we try different ways to earn our cutie marks."
"Wait you don't have your cutie marks either!?" Button gasped.
"Nope."
If the CMC could read minds they would have found out that he wasn't excited because of just his cutie mark, but also he wanted to learn more about Sweetiebelle. "I'd love to join!"
~LATER~
"MOM I"M HOME AND I MADE THREE FRIENDS!"
"Wonderful!" Love Tap shouted happily. "What are their names?"
"Sweetiebelle, Scootaloo, and Applebloom." He replied. "And they are cutie markless, just like me!" When Button went to sleep he dreamed.
Button was lying on a humongous white field while, unbeknownst to him, a certain dream traveler was looking at him and smirking as she knew what the dream was about.
Button spotted purple and pink mountains to the right of him. He climbed them, surprised to find them soft. When he got the top he saw a white spike coming out of the pink and purple mountains. He climbed to the tip of the spike and looked down. As soon as he did he knew he had problems. He was looking at the giant face of Sweetiebelle. He blushed and ran back to the white feild, now known as Sweetie's back.
Suddenly he hears a voice saying, "Want this to stay our little secret?"
"Thanks Princess Luna....." Button muttered blushing heavily.
Princess Luna chuckled, "Want me to end this dream?"
"That would be great...... This is so embarrassing. " Luna ended the dream and button slept dreamless for the rest of the night. When Button woke he decided to just keep his feelings quiet and not tell Sweetie, not sure how she felt.
~YESTERDAY~
"Rarity I'm home!"
"Hello darling!"
"There is a new colt in ponyville, and since he didn't have a cutie mark he joined the CMC." That was, of course, after Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon had already got to him."
"Oh dear."
"Yeah. Anyway, it was kind of weird. When the girls and I went to cheer him up, he kind of just stared at me, and I kind of stared at him. I don't know why and it was really awkward. Then Scootaloo made it worse and pushed me on top of him. When I get better at teleportation I'm definately sending her to Tartarus."
"I guess you can if it's ok with is mom." Rarity said, secretly smiling to herself over the mention of the little awkward stare. "What is his name?"
"Button Mash," she said. "And you are not being a matchmaker.."
"Awwwww......." Rarity moaned, planning on being a matchmaker anyway.

This is probably gonna be a cliche story, but I'll try not to make it that way. This is my first time writing a fanfic so I will probably suck. This is a story I will probably only post once in a while, considering this is just a side project. I am just going to have fun with this, so maybe a few other ships will show up.............
Why you never anger a mare.
"I'm catching up! I'm catching up!" Sweetie Belle screeched.
"Yeah, great job! But next time can you not break my eardrums?" Button asked, raising his hoof to scratch his ear only for a moment. He had just started teaching Sweetie Belle Mareo kart and she was already a pro. But as Button had scratched his ear Sweetie Belle had drove right by, claiming not only 1st place but also the win as she crossed the finish line.
"BOOM IN YOUR FACE!!!!!! Oh..... That was rude of me. Sorry for breaking your eardrums." She apologized.
Suddenly they heard a knock on the door.
"OH! I forgot, my brother is back from college today!" Button remembered, running downstairs.
"I didn't know you had a brother!"
"Oh, sorry guess I forgot to tell you. Hey Lightning Storm!" Button said. Button noticed his brother seemed to be nervous, and there was a unicorn stallion standing next to him. Lightning Storm's wings were outstretched as well.
"H-hi Button!" He stammered. Sweetie Beld was staring at him.
"This is my new friend, Sweetie Belle! What's your friend's name?" Button asked.
"Ummmm.... this is Sea Foam!" Said Lightning, staring at his friend, who seemed extremely calm.
"I'll be back later, bro. I'm taking Sweetie Belle home." Button said, closing the door behind him.
"How can you not notice-"
"That he's gay? I already know. I don't bother him about because 1. He can love who he wants to and 2. Me and my mom don't care." Button interrupted.
"You read my mind." Sweetie Belle chuckled as they walked towards the boutique.
MEANWHILE....................
"When I get back I expect no pony to be tailess, discorded, or upside down. Got it?" Fluttershy said to Discord.
"I promise!" Discord said, crossing his fingers behind his back.
"Well then, see you later!" Fluttershy said, leaving the cottage.
When she was gone Discord muttered to himself, "A god of chaos needs a little fun." And he started looking for his next victim.
MEANWHILE AT THE BOUTIQUE.......
"Thanks for walking me home Button." Sweetie Belle said, blushing as she said that.
Button didn't notice and said good bye, "See you and the rest of the CMC for game night?"
"Absolutely!"
Suddenly they heard a snapping noise. "What was that?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Probably just a branch." Button assured. "Bye!"
As Button walked home he heard Lightning and Sea marveling at something upstairs. Button rushed to his room, excited to continue playing his game. But to his horror, he saw what his brother was excited about.
"I didn't know you could play guitar!" Lightning said.
Button stared in shock as Sea Foam looked through his music sheets. "How did you find these!?!?"
"I was looking at your game collection when I tripped and fell through your poster." Sea Foam said, pointing towards where Button had his guitar. "We promise not to tell any pony if you play us a song."
"Ugh.... fine...." Button said, playing one of his favorites, Gamers Gonna Game.
Lightning and Sea Foam just stared at how amazingly played the song was. "Woah...." They said when he finished.
"It's nothing special, just a hobby." Button mentioned as he started putting away the music sheets and instrument, getting a new poster as he did.
"Nothing special!?!? You rocked that! I bet you could woo Sweetie Belle with talent like that......" Lightning said mischievously.
"Sure....." Button said, smiling evily. "As soon as you kiss your coltfriend."
NEXT DAY......
Sweetie Belle knocked on the door and heard Button yell something in.... what did he call it? Humongonian?
"Button! Don't talk to me like that young man!" Button's mother yelled back as she opened the door. "Oh! Sweetie Belle! You probably shouldn't be here. Button is...... acting odd. He's like the opposite of what he truly is, and his coat is now gray.
As Sweetie Belle heard the news she slowly felt rage overwhelm her. She stomped off, feeling rage burn inside as she headed towards a certain cotttage, not even noticing Zeccora and the colt wearing a cloak next to her.
"Looks like her line has been met, when she is angry, we should fret.
"But why Zeccy?" Rising Moon said, nuzzling her.
She giggled, only he was allowed to call her Zeccy. "You have not seen her angry before, once the ceiling was the floor."
MEANWHILE.......
"DISCORD!"
"Uh oh....." muttered the draconaques.
"YOU WILL TURN HIM BACK OR I WILL TURN YOU BACK TO STONE."
"Sorry, but I can't. If I can't see him I can't change him back."
"EASY." She said as an unhappy grey Button stood before her.
"What the heck Sweetie Belle? I was just about to finish my Mareo kart race." Button said grumpily, heading to the door only to be picked up by a green magic aura.
"CHANG HIM NOW!"
Discord snapped his fingers and color returned to Button. "What happened? Where am I?"
"Not right now Button. Later. I have one thing left to do." And Sweetie Belle simply turned Discord's hands to stone.
Author's Note
Oh..... Zeccora likes some pony? I wonder what happens to those two?
Sweetie Belle went to Button's house. She was going to ask him if they could move game night to tonight. But as soon as she stood on his doorstep she heard a faint sound coming from the back of the house. It sounding like music. Sweetie quietly crept through the garden until she located where the sound was coming from.
Button's open window. Sweetie had to make sure she was hearing things right. It was probably just a game's music.
But as she climbed up a tree to look into his room she saw him looking at some sheet music, playing a guitar as a gray mare walked into the room. She recognized her as the celloist Octavia. Soon she was followed by the famous Vynil Scratch, better known as DJ-PON3.
"Octavia?" Button asked surprised. "You finished tutoring me days ago! What are you doing here?"
"My.... umm......-" Octavia was cut off by Vynil.
"I'm Octavia's fillyfriend, Vynil Scratch. Octi told me you were awesome at the guitar so I wanted to hear one of your songs." Vynil interuppted.
"Sure! Sad or upbeat?"
"Sad. I want to see what it sounds like. Then upbeat to cheer me up."
Button started playing a song, and it ripped Sweetie's heart out. It was beautiful. She saw a tear appear from behind Vynil's sunglasses before it was quickly wiped away. Then the tone of the song changed and it brought an uncontrollable smile to Sweetie's face, as well as the DJ.
"Dude....." Vynil said after the song was over. "That was amazing..... I think you've actually put me at a lost for words."
"I definately agree." Sweetie Belle mentioned.
"Sweetie Belle! What are you doing up there?" Button asked in shock.
"I came up here to listen to you play." Sweetie Belle replied calmly.
A blush spread across Button's face as she climbed in through his window.
"We gotta go, little dudes." the white mare said, exiting the room.
Almost moments after she did Sea Foam and Lightning entered the room.
"YOU GOT DJ PON3 TO LISTEN TO YOU PLAY AND SHE LOVED IT?!?" Lightning asked in pure fanboyedness.
"Yeah," Button said, rubbing his ears. "Now control your inner fanboy. "
"OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOM-"
"I got this." Sea Foam said as he kissed Lightning, imediately making him faint.
"Thanks!" Button said cheerfully as Sea Foam carried Lightning in his magical aura out of the room.
Sweetie Belle stared. "Did he just-?"
"Yup. Just to get him to faint. Sea Foam is so cool."
IN THE BUSHES....................
"Got the video?" Apllebloom asked.
"Right here." Scootaloo replied waving it in the air. "I can't believe Rarity is asking us to spy on her sister."
