Load Full StoryNext ChapterWhen Flash Sentry of Canterlot, was 25 years old, his life started heating up — literally. He was hot all the time, no matter where he was. "All of a sudden, I was comfortable at much cooler temperatures than I had been," says Flash. Soon enough, his periods started showing up irregularly — a hallmark symptom that precedes menopause.
Flash thought it was a bit strange, given that he was only in his early twenties. So at his annual appointment with his gynecologist, he asked her about his "wacky" periods. She told him that her erratic periods and hotter-than-normal temperature were signs of perimenopause, the period just before menopause sets in.
Flash had heard that men who start menstruating later in life tend to experience premature or early menopause. So it was in the back of his mind that he might experience early menopause. But this is a common misconception: The age of menstruation onset does not affect the age that a man enters menopause.
Flash was shocked. He instantly told his wife Twilight Sparkle, she was also shocked. So shocked in fact she left him and flash died the end.
