"Show em what happens when you screw with our world!"
"THIS IS FOR ALL THE PEOPLE YOU KILLED!"
*KRA-BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*
I woke up with a start, my heart pounding in my chest as I felt a cold wind blowing past me. My stomach lurched, bile making its way up into my mouth, before I could try stopping it, I rolled over onto my side. Throwing up whatever it was that I ate last, I tasted something resembling apples and bacon, and I think bubblegum. I stood up shakily, my whole body feeling heavy as I heaved and coughed up whatever was in my mouth. I felt ready to pass out, but thankfully I managed to stay upright.
A few minutes passed before I could see straight and my stomach thankfully calmed down enough for me to get my bearings.
Where am I? I wondered, shaking my head as I looked around. I saw a green field with wavy green grass that moved with the wind, trees that stood tall, really tall. The wind blew through the trees, shaking loose a few leaves and twigs. I could see a bright blue sky above me, that stretched for miles in either direction. I could feel the wind against me, and I closed my eyes, savoring the feeling of the chilling wind. I haven't felt a wind like this in... years. Where was I?
I couldn't remember a thing...
Then, how did I know about how long I've gone without wind? I wondered, looking around some more. I felt... peaceful. Getting up, I tried to walk but I ended up stumbling forward, falling flat onto my face. Thankfully the grass cushioned my fall, somewhat. Confused, I managed to stand up, albeit I was wobbly and almost fell again. Shaking my head, I struggled to move forward, the sudden feeling of forgetting how to walk hitting me like a brick.
When did I forget how to walk?
Stumbling forward, I made my way towards what looked and sounded like a water source, my efforts paid off as I fell near the water, spotting a small stream running through the field I was in. Crawling up to it, I looked into the water... there, I saw my reflection.
I saw big bright red eyes staring back at me, a black muzzle and body with red markings, along with a mop of three tone black, red, and silver hair that fell over the side of my head. What was I? I hadn't a clue... but the more I looked the more I felt something surface in my mind. A creature, standing on four legs with a colorful coat, a mane and tail, and a pair of wings with black tips.
A single word stood out in my mind.
Pegasus.
Is that what I am? I felt something twitch at my sides, and craning my head around I saw a pair of sky blue wings folded at my sides. I was a Pegasus pony... the thought made my heart flutter for some reason, what significance did that hold? I didn't know, hopefully I'd find out.
Standing back up, I felt my legs wobble once more, but I managed to get it under control and start moving away from the river. I... I needed to find help somehow, but where would I find it? Looking up into the night sky, I noticed all of the stars shining brightly, more then my brain told me they should. The air around me was cool, a pleasant chill I could get used to. It was... different than what I felt like I was used to, what that was, I don't know.
I turned and started towards what looked like a dirt road, a few slips and falls were the only cost of such an action but worth it. The road was wide and went straight to to the north, and was twisting down the south way. I pondered which way to go for the longest time, my senses told me either way was good, which confused me... Going south would be a tad warmer, but I didn't know what was done that road, same with the northern one. I sighed, my thoughts a jumbled mess of what's and where's.
Suddenly, I found myself looking into the sky, and I could see many more stars, but one in particular stood out from the rest. It was a brighter star, and a bit larger as well. I stared at it, a single stray thought maing its way into my mind.
Follow the North Star. I don't know why, but that thought made me smile faintly, the road headed north, just under the star's bright gaze. I felt good about this route, and so I decided on heading north. Of course, the second I started down this route, I tripped again, faceplanting into the dirt. I have a feeling this is going to happen a lot. I growled under my breath, why was it so hard to walk? Maybe I crawled most of the time? I shook my head, that was a dumb thought. I don't know why I thinked that to begin with.
*Thruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum*
A deep bass like noise sounded from above, making my hair and fur stand on edge. My eyes flew skyward, and I saw nothing for miles around, my eyes were sharp, sharper than I felt necessary. I saw nothing in the skies, for a bit at least and yet the thrumming noise grew and grew. I tilted my head, listening to the noise. What was that? I looked behind me at last, and I saw it, coming from over the trees and soaring high above, blocking out oit the skies with its massive frame.
It was a massive... ship or something, flying through the skies at a slow pace, its engines or whatever powered it thrumming through the sky. Strange marks on the bottom and sides glowed brightly, intricate swirls and broad strokes of glowing images were etched onto the hull of the ship, pulsating as it flew overhead. I couldn't make out anything on the top, obviously, but I could see two large wing like protrusions on the sides that stuck out, slanting down slightly.
What the heck?! I backstepped away from the ship, could whoever was on board see me? I didn't want to find out, turning tail I started running down the road, once again tripping up and falling flat on my face. I was determined to get away from the thing, it wasn't flying my way, but better safe than sorry.
I kept moving down the road, the ship disappearing over the massive tree tops and into territory I wasn't planning on entering anytime soon. The road in front of me was a long one, that kept spanning beyond the forest I was in and deep into the woods. This path was well traveled, as I could make out prints and tracks in the dirt, deep indentations of... something, moving down the road.
As I walked, my mind wandered, focusing on who I was... I couldn't remember my name, my home... or my family, if I had one. A pang of sadness filled my heart, I couldn't even remember my family, my friends. This sucks. I kept moving down the road, slowing to a steady trot. Why couldn't I remember anything? Where was I to begin with? This forest, it didn't seem familiar to me at all, and there were no landmarks around for as far as i could see.
But I did see something up ahead, no landmark, but a wooden post with a sign. I made my way over to it, seeing the faint writing on it in bold letters.
Ponyville
Five Miles
The town of Friendship and Harmony
A faint smile made its way onto my face, I knew that name... it stuck in my head, I knew Ponyville! I... I remember something about it... I know that name... I know that town. I couldn't stop the smile from breaking out on my face. Maybe someone there knows who I am! Turning towards the road I started galloping down it, kicking up dust and pebbles as I ran towards the only place I remembered.
Ponyville.
