Ponysona 3: The Nightmare Hour

I watched as Twilight was talking with the others about what to do with Rusty, I for one couldn't care less about what happened to that bitch, but they seemed to want to keep her, so I had no say in what was going to happen.

"I'm going out, don't follow me." I said, they all just waved at me and continued talking, I really hated that about them, they love my cooking but they hate me. I walked outside of the dorm and went for a nice long walk.

I kept walking until it became dark, I looked around and saw it was the Nightmare Hour, with habit I went to Tartarus to help fight the shadows with the others.

"I bet they're not even worried about where I am, damned bastards." I said to myself.

When I got there they where waiting for me, and then we all went inside together. I didn't think much of Screen staring at me, probably thinking that I was cool. "Wow Flash, you're the coolest one here, you should be the leader." Yeah, that's what he was thinking, i think.

"Okay so after we go here we need to head to this spot in town, a pretty strong shadow managed to escape." Star said. "That little punk, he thinks he's so cool, able to wield multiple personas at once, I hate him, I want him to die." I thought to myself. My heart felt heavy, and then I felt a sharp pain in my chest, falling to the ground holding my chest I reached for the powder in my pocket.

"Flash are you okay?" I heard Silver say.

"Yeah i'm fine, I just need to rest a bit, you guys go on ahead." I replied, they all looked at one another and then all of them left me there. When they where out of sight I grabbed the vial of the powder in my pocket and downed it. Twilight thought that the shadows were the only problem, no, there was something else as well, I called it Apathy-Syndrome. Apathy-Syndrome was an illness that only affected ponies that closed themselves off from everyone else.

"That was close." I said to myself. Apathy-Syndrome makes it so they delve deeper into insanity, and I had it, it was dangerous for me to have it, it caused me to loose control of my persona and kill. I once lost control, and killed a family, they father was trying to run away from me, but he was too slow, and my persona killed him, and the child he was holding.

"No please, don't!" The mare yelled, I didn't listen, my persona pierced her right through the chest, killing her. I laughed manically as her blood poured out of her, her eyes going lifeless.

"Tear her in half." I said, my persona Malkidu picked her up and ripped her top half from her bottom, her blood showered me in a beautiful crimson color. Her body was then dropped to the ground in a bloody mess.

"Don't worry we'll get out of this." I heard the husband say, I then turned to look at him as he was running way while holding his child. Malkidu stabbed him through his stomach, and he dropped his child, which I knew killed the kid. "Silver Screen, Don't hold a grudge against the pony that killed me and your mother." He said.

"How touching, you've lost so much blood that you think your child is still alive, Malkidu, kill him." And just like that, the spear was thrusted straight into his skull, killing him and showing me, that lovely crimson color I loved to see, taste, and smell.

I lost control that day, and I never wanted that to happen again, so I got in contact with three ponies that used their ability to function in the Nightmare Hour to kill. I gave them information about the missions, and in return, they gave me the antidote, so that I couldn't loose control again. I got back up and followed the others.

After we had completed what we planned to do in Tartarus, we went to the old abandoned warehouse, my chest felt like it was on fire, and I couldn't stand it, I started to pant heavily.

"Flash, what's wrong." Screen asked me. I looked at him, he looked like the stallion I killed all that time ago.

"Wait, did your parents get murdered by a monster?" I asked.

"Yeah, I can't remember much, but my mom was torn in half, and my dad dropped me on a bush." He replied looking sad. I held my chest and fell on my knees. "I knew it, I killed his parents, his dad told him not to hold a grudge against me, but what if he doesn't remember that?" I thought to myself.

"Hey you two catch up al-"Star started to say, but I interrupted him by making an ear piercing howl.

"Woof." I heard Rusty say

"Rusty senses danger, coming from, Flash Sentry." Melody translated for everyone. Rusty was right to be sensing danger, I was loosing control.

"Malkidu!" I yelled as my persona appeared, but it didn't look like the normal form as everyone knew, it was a chess piece, the same type that killed Screen's parents.

"That form." I heard Screen say. "That shadow didn't kill my parents, you did!"

"What!" I heard the others say.

"That's right, I killed your parents but I didn't mean t-" I Started, but I then felt myself loose control. "I wanted to kill them, they were stupid, and they deserved to die like the bitches they were." I said laughing in an insane manner

"Flash we can't allow this, we have no choice but to fight you." Twilight said.

"And unless you back down now." Sentinel said.

"We'll kill you." Star added looking much more menacing than usual.

"Alright then, come at me!" I yelled as Malkidu swung at all of them

"Zi!" Star called forth his persona which used fire magic much more.

"Malho!" Crescent yelled.

"Daisuke!" Swirl yelled.

"Gatudarus!" Twilight yelled.

"Collstar!" Sentinel yelled.

"This should be fun!" I said as they all rushed towards me.

"You guys are weak, the only one that was able to possibly stand a chance against me was Star, but even he's run out of energy." I Laughed. "Just give up, so that I can kill yo-"

BANG!

I heard a gun fire, and I felt a pain shoot through out my body. I looked down and saw that I was shot.

"Who did that!" I heard Star yell as my vision go black. My mind went adrift, I could see a white light, and someone calling out to me.

"Your journey has come to an end." I heard a voice yell, but I first opened my eyes to the scene that was going on. I reached my hand out and saw it was covered in my own blood.

"Don't die, we were trying to save you, just don't die!" Silver said as she was crying over my body.

"I know we threatened to kill him, but we weren't really going to, so please, stay with us." Twilight said as she hid her face.

"Damn you, you bastard, you never deserved this, you shouldn't have died like this." Sentinel said as he punched a wall.

"No, i'm sorry, I did not, want this, to happen." Melody said as she stood over me.

"I am sorry that we never got to be friends." Star said.

"I forgive you." Screen said. All of them where crying over me dying, I reached a hand out to all of them, and they all grabbed it.

"I am sorry, that I couldn't help you get to your goal, of stopping, the Nightmare Hour." I said weakly.

"Do not be sorry."  Star said

"You might not have seen the end." Swirl added.

"But you showed great strength." Twilight added.

"Your death, will not be, in vein." Said Melody.

"We will destroy the Nightmare Hour." Sentinel said.

"And we will remember you." Silver said.

"As a hero." Screen finished.

"Thank you." I said, I felt the life leave my body and in the distance, I heard my friends crying over my demise.
