Fallout Equestria: Woven Hooves
Hope
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAs Electro Flyer entered the Wasteland, he checked his Pip-Buck. He only had one location on his map besides good 'ol Stable 108. Hoofball City. Better head there.
Electro Flyer stood near the gate to Hoofball City. He decided not to go in quite yet. He turned away and saw a crazy looking pony bearing jagged, spiked armor and a nasty smile. He back around to be met Face-to-Face with a metal beast. Well, Face to chest. The metal giant was a large Black pony bearing both wings and Horn. Flyer couldn't believe his eyes. He just stared at the stallion in awe. "Can I help you, citizen?" The giant pony asked. Flyer hardly noticed the stallion speak. "Erm, no sir." was the timid reply given by Electro Flyer. He then noticed the large 002 painted on the pony's chest. The metal pony then boomed "Then step aside." Flyer obliged and not only watched, but heard the big pony walk away into Hoofball City.
The mare guarding the gate called Flyer over. "Hey, buddy! Come here a sec." she yelled. Electro Flyer trotted happily over and asked, "Can I help you, miss?" Flyer asked. "Nah, kid. But I need to tell ya somethin'. That big mare you were talkin' to ain't no normal pony. He's a pony from them ponies from that little group called 'Little Party'. Well, Little somethin'. It's always scratched out when I see it on the aromr. But treat them boys with a bit of respect. It keeps 'em happy" she said. "Oh ok. Thanks ma'am." He replied.
The first thing Elctro Flyer noticed was the painful amount of references to the dead sport of Hoofball. He headed straight to a large pavilion with a gigantic neon sign on it. It was in the shape of a large bowl of spaghetti. He guessed a quick bite to eat couldn't hurt.
The noodles were rather salty, with just a hint of obviously industrial flavoring. After his noodles, Electro Flyer trotted to a security mare. "Hey, can ya gimme some directions?" Flyer asked. "Sure. Where do you need to go, citizen?" security mare replied. "I-I need to go to a general goods store of some kind." Flyer said. "Oh! You're gonna want to head on over to 'Sunrise Sassy's Sunrise Sarsaparilla Co'. She's got everything there. From Sparkle Cola to guns!" she exclaimed. "Okay, thank ya ma'am." Flyer said as he trotted off towards the old Sunrise Sarsaparilla Company factory to get some form of supplies. Not much a pony can do in the Wasteland with no stiff to help 'em get by.
"Hi, I'm Sunrise Sassy! Owner of Sunrise Sassy's General Goods! How may I be of service to such a fine stallion such as yourself?" Sunrise Sassy spat out rapidly. She shouted it the second Electro Flyer walked through the door. It was almost like she was anticipating his arrival. "Um, I'm just browsing for now. But thanks." Flyer replied. The mare still had her big smile, but it was a bit sad now. She looked like she had really been hoping she could help somepony out.. Flyer felt a little guilty. "Actually, I could use a little help. I'm looking for things that could help me avoid some form of brutal death out here." he said. "Oh! I have the finest firearms in all of Hoofball City! Looking for anything specific?" the perky, blue mare asked. "Um...anything basic? B-but not too basic. And it would be lovely if you could also teach me how to use a gun?" he said, timidly. "Why of course! I have just the thing for somepony like you." she said, the pulled out a little black box. "This her is a Lazer Pistol. To shoot it, for a pony without magic, ya take it in your mouth and fire by usin' ya tongue to pull the trigger." She said as she expertly demonstrated. "It's all yours for lets say...thirty five caps!"she added. "I-I'm sorry? Did you say caps? As in bottle caps? What the hell would you want caps for?" he asked, being morbidly confused. She had a hurt look on her face. She said "You don't know why I'd collect 'em? It's cause it's currency here. Wait a minute." She then circled around him to get a good look at the jumpsuit he'd been wearing. "Oh! You must be from one of them Stable thingies, right? That explains a lot." She said as she reclaimed her throne of being the perkiest pony that Flyer had ever seen. "Yes I am, Miss Sunrise." Flyer replied, proudly. "Well, caps are like money. And since you're probably still fresh from your Stable, I'm gonna give ya this book, along with the Lazer Pistol for free. I understand you don't know much yet." she said, giving him the gun and a book. An ugly, grey book with no art on the cover. The blank cover bored Flyer, but he decided that a few minutes of boredom was better sounding than dying. The first page was a bit comedic to read:
So you see that pony right there? A few yards away? He or she wears metal armor, donned in spikes, yes? That's a Raider pony. He doesn't want to be your best friend. He only wants to bludgeon you to death with your own hooves. He should probably be avoided, but if need be, shoot him as soon as possible so you can avoid death. Remember: The longer they've been a Raider, the crazier they are!
Electro Flyer grew bored after the first chapter or so. All he could really learn from the book was how to avoid enemies and how to use his new Lazer Shooting Thingy. He left Sunrise and trotted back to the same security mare. "Hey, I need directions again." he said as he'd approached her. He startled her slightly. "What do you need to find now, Stranger?" she asked. "Is there any places in the city where I could rent a bed?" he replied. "Oh yea! Just head on over to Pitcher Mound's Dugout. It's a hotel." she answered. "Thanks." Flyer added as he cantered towards the hotel.
"She forgot to mention it full of drunken morons." Electro Flyer mumbled to himself as he entered the lower part of the hotel. Pitcher Mound's Dugout was not only a hotel, but also a bar. He slapped down all the caps that he could find, which was only about eight, and slumped onto the bar stool. "What will this buy me?" Flyer asked the bartender. "Eight caps? Probably uh...bottled water." the bartender responded. "Anything stiff?" Flyer basically begged. "With eight caps? Fuck no." the bartender answered. Electro Flyer picked up his caps and put them back into his saddle bag. He walked back out the hotel and trotted towards Sunrise Sassy's.
"Sunrise?" Electro Flyer said as he entered. "Oh! It's you again. How can I help ya?"She asked. "I was wondering if I could stay here for the night?" He replied. "Oh. It'll cost ya. Five caps, since you're new to the Wasteland." She answered. He smiled and trotted over to her and gave her five caps. "Ya know, I only have one bed. so you're gonna have to share one with me." She said flirtatiously. "O-oh. Okay." Flyer replied, shyly. She laughed as she trotted cheerily up the stairs, with Flyer following behind her. Flyer had never noticed how attractive Sunrise was.
In Sunrise's bedroom, Sunrise walked over to her dresser and took off the apron she was wearing. there stood the blue mare. Completely naked. "Oh my! I'm sorry, Miss Sassy!" Flyer said as his reddening face became visible through his white coat. "Don't be sorry, Kid." she said with a wink. She lied down on her bed and patted the area next to her. "Well, what are you waiting for?" Sunrise said. "Oh, uh.. Nothing! I'm coming, Miss Sassy" Flyer replied. He walked over and curled up next to her. She grabbed his hoof and threw into over herself like a blanket. She smiled. He just awkward fell asleep. That was not what she was hoping for. after He was asleep, she huffed with annoyance. She then fell asleep with her annoyance festering.
Electro Flyer woke up, still wrapped around Sunrise. He slowly got up and stretched his joints, sore from the day before. Sunrise awoke with her cheerful smile. She trotted over to him. "Breakfast?" She asked. "Huh?" Flyer replied. "Breakfast. Do you want breakfast. Ya know? The meal you eat in the mornings?" she tried explaining. "OH, right. Sure." She seemed satisfied with his response, and led him to the refrigerator she kept in the corner of the room. "It's basically either water or Sparkle Cola." she said. "I guess I'll take the water?" he replied. She gave him the Sparkle Cola. "Hey, I have a question." he said. "Oh yea? What is it?" she asked. "Well, If I'm going to travel the Wasteland, I'm going to need someone that knows their way around weapons and healing. plus I could use someone to talk to. So I was wondering if you would come with me?" he asked. "Sure, why the fuck not?" She answered.
The two ponies trotted out of Sunrise Sassy's. Before they left, Sunrise hung a sign on the door that said "See you next season!" The two ponies then walked through the streets and out the front gate of Hoofball City. "Hey, What's this do?!" Sassy asked as she pressed a button on Electro Flyer's Pip-Buck. Music played loudly from the PIp-Buck.
