The Rogue

You are an Earth pony. You lived and grew up in Ponyville, and it's safe to assume that it was the craziest town in Equestria. Also worth mentioning that it was the home of the  bearers of the Elements of Harmony, the magical artifacts that saved Equestria time and time again.

You actually took an interest to one of them, and she liked you back just as much. A yellow, pink maned Pegasi by the name of Fluttershy. Easily scared, yet always ready to put her hoof down when she was needed the most. You liked that kind of attitude in a pony. Reminded you of yourself, especially when you were young.

You always kept close relationship with her, and visited her cottage every other day. It wasn't just her, you also loved the animals she cared for, and assisted her with every little thing when caring for them. Some might say you had just as close of a relationship with animals as Fluttershy did, and they weren't far from the truth. You could understand them, and they understood, and listened to you.  It was all too nice.

As luck would have it, nice didn't last forever. It was all over the news.

War. In Equestria... By the Gryphonlands to the north.

A legion of Royal Guards  had come to Ponyville. It was strange, and you didn't know if it was enough to protect the town. It was unguarded except by the Everfree forest, which was growing all across Equestria due to the burned villages providing fertilizer for the forest to grow out of its previous area.

It was when it got bad enough to envelop Fluttershy's home that you truly became worried. You still visited her, able to pass the creatures unharmed.

It was like this for a long time, until it was decided there needed to be a wall around Ponyville. Nopony was allowed to leave, or they'd be in danger of being left outside when the wall was finished.

Nopony had seen Fluttershy during this time, though she assured the bearers, that she would be safe in the forest, since no animals truly wanted to harm her.

When the wall was finished, you rushed out the gates to find her cottage, and entered what was now known as , 'The Great Forest'.

The Everfree had grown very dense in the months past, and you almost couldn't find your way to the cottage, even though it wasn't very far from the wall itself.

When you did find it, however.... It was a horrifying sight to behold...

The cottage, and some of the surrounding area was charred, and looked like it had been burned quite some time ago.  And it definitely wasn't a forest fire... Some thing did this intent intentionally.

But this wasn't the strangest of the sights to behold. There were hundreds of stones scattered on the ground, all standing upright. They were decorated with items you recognized, even when burned, from the cottage.

You stepped closer to one of them, and you noticed a name upon it. You wiped away the dust and cringed when you recognized it: Angel Bunny...

The stones were graves.

Tears welling in your eyes, you walked into the cottage, even as it looked as if it could collapse upon you.

What you saw was worthy of the most unponylike scream ever heard.

In the center of the room... Were three skeletons.

But they weren't pony skeletons, definitely not. Ponies don't have beaks.  They were gryphon skeletons.

All three of them had crushed ribs and broken joints. One was missing its chest and both of its front legs.

They were gryphons, but the sight horrified you, and you ran out in fear, into the forest.

Where was Fluttershy in all this? Was she hurt? Could she be... Dead? You hoped not.

At some point you stopped. Something was watching you. You could hear the rustlings in the trees, bt it became apparant that the rustling was following you.

" Who's there?.... Fluttershy... Is that... You?"

You found yourself assailed upon by a pony in a cloak made from leaves, with a wooden make over it's face.

"Oh my.. It.. It's you!", the masked pony said happily, in a voice you sure as Tartarus remembered.

"Fluttershy?! What happened to you... I saw the cottage, I thought you.... "

She removed her mask, showing a look of sadness.  She had cuts all over her face, and she looked like a grizzled war veteran.

" I know.... The gryphons attacked my cottage and.. I couldn't do anything about it... Poor Angel Bunny... " She said, swelling to tears.

You prepared to comfort her, but she quickly shook off the tears, and immediatly had a look of seriousness.

" But now I WILL do something about it!", she began, Baring her teeth.  "Those Gryphons were big meanies, and I'll never let any gryphon... Or Pony... Hurt another critter or animal again!"

Soon you became aware of a large monstrosity hulking towards you. You turned to see a large brown bear, a scar over its left eye, and a ripped right ear. It smiled at you.

"Harry?" You wondered, knowing the bear at an instant.

He nodded, but you paid no heed.

So Fluttershy wanted to protect animals. She couldn't do it alone though. And in your panic, you'd probably never find your way back to Ponyville.

"Would you like some help taking care of the animals, ma'am?" You asked, tilting your head slightly.

She looked at you, recognizing the same question you'd asked her when you first came to her cottage.

She nodded, and you followed her off into the shadows.

I seriously need to rush this. This is too long compared to the other classes!

Years passed, and you travelled with Fluttershy. Animals everywhere seemed to always listen to you, and they never tried to hurt you. You and Fluttershy, your name unknown, with Fluttershy presumed missing... The Guardians of the Great Forest. You and Fluttershy split up so that you would be able to cover more of Equestria.  You had one job: help animals in need, and confront those that attempted to hurt them.

At some point , you wanted to actually meet ponies on equal terms, however, so you started going into towns, unmasked and uncloaked,  of course.

You always helped ponies, and didn't ask for money in return. You were glad to help.

Recently, it was apparent that a filly was lost in the area, and you decided to help find her. Where will you look first?
