The adventures of Nathan and Mavis

Meanwhile at the Crystal Empire...

Inside the Crystal Empire, Cadence was looking for both Nathan and Mavis who had went missing for some time now and she was getting worried sick about them not returning.

"NATHAN! MAVIS! WHERE ARE YOU TWO?? IT'S ALMOST DINNER TIME!" she shouted.

"Is there something wrong, Cadence?" said a voice.

She turned and saw Shining Armor walking towards her.

"Oh, Shining. There is something wrong! Nathan and Mavis have gone missing!" said Cadence.

"WHAT?!?" shouted her husband.

"I looked everywhere, even in their rooms, but I can't find them." said Cadence.

"Well, let's ask the town if they seen them anywhere." said Shining Armor.

"Yes. Let's do that," replied Cadence as she and Shining began heading to the Crystal town to search for the two children.

Back with Nathan and Mavis...

Nathan woke up with a yawn, as he outstretched his arms. However, he felt that he couldn't, and opened his eyes. Both of his hands were shackled, and he panicked.

"Mavis! Wake up!" he cried.

Mavis woke up and saw his brother being worried.

"Nathan, what's wrong?" she asked.

"We're arrested and being treated like criminals, that's what!" he said.

Mavis cringed and tried to hug her brother, but she saw that both of her hands were also shackled like her brother's.

"Oh, no!" she cried.

The kids sobbed as they tried to hug each other without the chain of their shackles reaching their necks. Some guards inside the prison cart interrupted the scene.

"Quiet down! " one said.

This gave Nathan an idea. He swung his shackles forward the window of the prison door.

"Stop that! You'll rust your chains!" another yelled.

"I hope I do!" Nathan snapped back, while struggling in his restraints. The guards had enough and sprayed tear gas all over Nathan and Mavis, causing them to fall unconscious.
