The adventures of Nathan and Mavis

Meanwhile in the city of the Crystal Empire...

Both Cadence and Shining Armor were looking around town for any sign of Nathan and Mavis.

"This is hopeless. We will never find them anywhere." said Cadence.

"Yeah, we might as well give up now and--" said Shining until he was cut off by a voice.

"You two looking for something?" said a voice.

Both Cadence and Shining Armor turned and saw the store pony walking towards them.

"Yes. We're looking for Nathan and Mavis. Have you seen them?" said Cadence.

"Oh, you mean those kids that stopped by my store? Yeah, I saw them one minute there and in the next they left while ordering something." said the store pony.

"Do you know what happened to them next?" said Shining Armor.

"Have no clue, but I do remember them being taken by the police." replied the store pony.

That cause them to widen their eyes.

"WHAT?!? What did they do?!?" they cried.

"All I known is that they were following a trail of roses and this sign told them to grab the Crystal Heart." he answered while giving them the note.

"It's said 'Grab me and get a special surprise! By George Cunningham'." Shining read aloud.

"George Cunningham? Isn't he in prison?" Candace wondered.

"Maybe he put that in here before he was caught by the authorities." Shining theorized.

"Well, let's try to search every police station until we find them." Cadence said, as they went to who knows where.

Nathan once woke up in yawn. When he opened his eyes, he found out that he was in some sort of prison cell. He saw that he was sitting in a cot attached to the wall, a toilet, and some bars were in the front of Nathan while other bars were in his cell window.

"Oh no!" he cried as he got up. Worse, he saw he was wearing a prison-striped outfit, and a anklet on his right ankle. He tried to remove it, but it shocked him.

"Ow!" Nathan whimpered. Then he remembered about Mavis.

"Mavis! Where are you? he called.

"I'm in the cell next to yours." she answered. "Also, I know I wouldn't always wear a dress outside the Crystal Empire, but prison stripes would not look good in me."

Nathan rolled his eyes. "Can we just focus on how to escape here?"

"Sure." Mavis replied.
