The three hedgehogs, Sonic, Silver, and Shadow, are teleported to the land of Equestria in an attempt to protect the Chaos Emeralds from their sworn enemy, a new edition of Metal Sonic created by Dr. Eggman (otherwise known as Dr. Robotnik), but when they arrive at their destination, they have to protect a race of sentient ponies as well. The citizens forge close relationships with the newcomers, but Pinkie Pie is unnerved by the hedgehog named Shadow, who's name she only knew because Sonic told her. She is determined to befriend the brooding hedgehog, but the arrival of Metal Sonic might just change her priorities. Now, under the pressure of not only befriending Shadow, but keeping the precious Baby Cakes safe from harm, Pinkie Pie must navigate through the rising drama between her friends, the search for the Chaos Emeralds, and the treacherous Metal Sonic. With a new life packed with time travel, adventure, and drama, how will she cope? How will everyone cope?
